LONDON WELLINGTON

"I am seriously craving a good burger right now, so let's go for a run later, kay? You know it just as well as I do that that's one of the major cons of California, over New York. In New York, you have all fall and winter to let your summer body fall apart, and then you still have all spring to build it back up, but we have to stay in shape year round here." She caught herself after that, and quickly corrected herself. "Well I have to stay in shape year round. You, on the other hand, need to make sure this year you actually keep some meat on your bones. I really hope you're over that phase, Kat," she said, the last sentence coming with an included knowing glance at her friend. When London had found out about Katherine's eating disorder a couple of years back, she had treated it in a similar manner as Esperanza's coming out. It was something that she was uncomfortable with, because she wasn't well-versed in being incredibly supportive in a lovey-dovey way. She wasn't the kind of friend who could send Katherine text messages every morning to remind her to eat a healthy breakfast, or tell her that she was beautiful the way she was. She just didn't function that way, no matter how close she was with the person. She was more comfortable with shooting Katherine glares when she saw her passing up meals and sternly telling her that she wasn't going to stand to spend senior year with her best friend locked up in some mental institution. Luckily, or at least from what London had been told, Kat's summer had went well and she was on the right track to recovery. The eating disorder had been "cured" and Katherine would be the present, exuberant and vibrant girl that London loved. That was the plan, at least.

The girls had left Katherine's dormitory a few minutes earlier, and were now arriving at the barbecue. Even from a distance, the smell of the fresh barbecue food made London's mouth water. As she had said, she tried to be healthy about what she ate because she did care about maintaining her figure, but she wasn't the type of person who obsessed over that type of stuff. Definitely not to the extent where she could turn down food that fit her cravings, every now and again. Though London knew that being at the top of the social pyramid came with its responsibilities, right now, she really just wanted to focus on her friends and food, so when a couple of sophomores approached her with eager smiles on their faces, it took a bit of effort to hide her dwindling patience. "Hi London," the first girl chirped. London knew her name to be Jenna, only because she was one of the girls who had seemed to only join the yoga club the year before, to pester her. Whenever they crossed paths, it seemed like this girl had a million questions about what London had done the weekend before, what her plans for the next weekend were, what color nail polish she was wearing, and where London recommended she get a dress for an upcoming gala. It was cute at first, and even London could admit that having followers was sometimes a nice boost to her ego, but after a while, the girl had become nothing short of annoying. Her little posse of friends, whose three names were unknown to London, were just as annoying. "That club you were at a few weeks ago looked so fun! Where were you? I was, like, totally jealous," Jenna continued, quickening her pace to keep up with London, who had continued walking even after the girl's greeting. "I'm not sure," London mulled, uninterestedly. She knew what club the girl was referring to, because she had left several comments under the Instagram photo London had posted of herself there, asking this same question. And like those comments, London wasn't going to give an answer to this question either. "We'll talk to you girls later," she then added, slightly abruptly, as she decided that she wanted to lose the girls before they killed her vibe. Kat's brattiness and Esper's testiness had already taken a toll on it, and she wasn't going to let it worsen any more. Not even after seeing Liam standing beside the burgers. Nope, he wasn't that important, and that reassurance made her want to approach that area even faster, especially after seeing William, Farrah and Joe, three people who could be considered friends, standing beside him.

"Excuse me," she said, a curt and clearly feigned smile on her face as she nudged Liam just enough to have access to the burgers for long enough to put one on her plate. She had forced Kat to take a plate as well, and even though she knew the girl would probably complain later on, she placed a burger onto her plate, too. "Farrah, you should totally come sit with Kat and I," London said, in a slightly unusual act of welcoming someone who wasn't part of her clique, into it. Farrah was an A-lister, and that made her familiar territory, plus, she was going to be her roommate, so London decided that it was perfectly acceptable. Plus, she didn't want to just sit with Katherine, and she had spotted Esperanza a moment before, but with Kat's stepsister and Natalya, so she didn't want to deal with insisting that Esper sit with them, and have that lead to two people Kat despised joining as well.

Natalya smiled as her friends fawned over their gifts. Esper had taken it particularly well. "Russian Barbie, I literally knew it. You went way over the 10k mark. Not saying I'm mad. Thank you, you're literally one of the greatest people I ever met, and that's probably the most positive thing I'll say about you." At that Natalya had promptly stuck out her tongue. "Love you too Esper, and I never said I would stay under ten grand you guys just assumed that I would. You all got cheap presents last year for a reason." A two and a half grand max spending range might be a lot for some people but not for Natalya.

Fred, on the other hand, had been speechless. Technically his had costed the least so to see him so happy with it Natalya was proud of herself. Will had pretty much been in the same boat only he had been far more shocked. Since they had only really started to become friends over the summer through texts and Skype calls Natalya could understand the shock but she had shrugged, responding with a casual, "You're my friend. All my friends are family. Family members get birthday presents." She knew that, at least to her, it meant a lot more than that but she wasn't the type to make a big deal of it.

Once their crowd had dispersed and most of her other friends had went to put their gifts away Natalya was left with Nate and Dytto. After a quick, whispered, conversation with Grigori Natalya smirked and punched the man on the shoulder. "Haha, see you later." As the guys all loaded back into the trucks and left Natalya walked over to where Nate and Dytto were. "Now, you see what you've done? She's like the freakin' Energy Bunny now!" Dytto's response was quick. "Bitch, don't kill my vibe" Natalya laughed and rolled her eyes, watching the two quarrel. But still, as much as I love it, you know I'm gonna have to send this home. Can't take up two parking spaces." Natalya raised a brow at Dytto. "You don't think I would have thought of that? My Dad donated 250 grand to the school to wipe the fights off my record and get all three of us a second parking spot for the year. School gets a new tennis court and my dad doesn't have to worry about bribing a college to overlook my fighting habits. Well at least not right away. Of course I had to promise to keep the fights in school to a minimum... I think he said no more than three.." Natalya shrugged, her father had tacked it on to her birthday present last year, trying to make his present better than her uncle's so it hadn't even been something she had to ask for. Seeing as stuff like this was normal Dytto went right back to her tiff with Nathan. "And I like how you're talking shit considering you're still leaning against that thing like you're actually Logan. All you need is a cigar and you'll have it made." Natalya followed the verbal battle as if it was a tennis match, her eyes skipping from one person to the other. "Says the girl who's all heart eyes over a damn car and she barely even likes anything less than an SUV." She only stuck her tongue out at him and he stayed propped up against his new bike, a bit happier than he was going to admit to either of his friends.

"But also, how the hell is anyone supposed to get you a present after this?" As the two suddenly turned their attention on her Natalya giggled. "Yeah, some of us don't have money coming out of our asses here." Natalya shot Dytto a cool look, one eyebrow raised. At the brunette's fake look of regret she chuckled and shook her head. "Says the girl with the thousand dollar television." Natalya almost wanted to smack the two of them but she withheld herself, mostly because it was the first day of school. "Not my money." "Shut up!" "Okay, okay," Natalya waited a minute to speak, making sure the two were done. "Anyways, you don't have to get me something expensive. I got all of you gifts I knew you'd love. I mean, yeah, I spent a lot of money but that's because I have access to it and it makes me happy to indulge you guys." She made sure that her demeanor was serious for this since she wanted them to know she was being honest. As soon as she had finished explaining this though she smirked, started taking steps in the direction of the Barbecue, and looked back at them. "Also, I already told you that that wasn't even all of your present so it's actually kinda making me nervous hearing you bitch this much about the small part." Natalya laughed, knowing her friends wouldn't take it the wrong way, though they might strangle her. "Now hurry up, I'm hungry."

Just as the three of them reached the Barbecue Esper approached them. "Yo, you kiddies mind if I join you? My other friends are either with people I hate or aren't around." Natalya rolled her eyes and snatched a chip off the Latina's plate. "Wow, love you too you crazy Latino bitch. I don't care, I'm gonna go grab some food though. I haven't eaten since a muffin and a hot tea at six." Natalya walked off, wanting to grab food and get back to her friends as soon as possible.

"Still, you know I hate feeling like I owe you for shit and I still feel that way no matter what you say about me not owing you anything," Dytto replied to Natalya's terming their complaints as "bitching" about the gifts. Dytto was competitive and about a lot of things. Granted, she wasn't about to drop the amount of money Natalya seemed almost always willing to drop for her friends. She loved them, truly did - would probably fuck a bitch up for them. But she wasn't dropping neither her mother's newly acquired millions nor her step-father's billions on anyone (and no, she was not including her actual father because he didn't exist. Nope. Not at all). It meant, however, that she was going to have to find something of sentimental value for both Natalya and Nathan. Somehow...not as though it were an actually difficult task since she spent so much time with both, but still. She was Miss Independent for a reason. She barely accepted all of the gifts Bernard wanted to lavish her with and he was actually family at this point. Even when she didn't consider his daughter in that same light.

Nathan sucked his teeth sharply at the amount of money Natalya exclaimed that her father gave to the school, running a hand messily through his hair. Dytto could act as appalled as she wanted to, but at the end of the day, the only one in their little trio who could actually manage to be a bit overwhelmed by the amount of money his friends could drop was Nathan. He was still surprised by the stuff Dytto gave him and those were simply a laptop, her old television and a few dorm things like lamps and blankets. It was more of Amelia doing it and Dytto having asked her to, but still. Despite how much Dytto remembers being a part of the lower bracket of the middle class, she was still farther up and more privileged than Nate. And, despite her kindness, Natalya's gift-giving was a reminder. The added amount of money her father paid to the school - after allowing her all of these purchases - was an even sorer reminder.

"Yeah, yeah, we're coming," he grumbled playfully and nudged Dytto, who was distractedly running her fingertips over the new addition to her key set. He rolled his eyes at her dumbstruck expression and began to follow Natalya into the throng of classmates conversing and eating at the barbecue. Dytto grinned before hopping onto his back, instinctively wrapping her legs around his waist. Nathan was known for being a douche to her, but his arms still hooked around her slim legs when he felt them. "Spoiled brat." Dytto only grinned cheekily at him, sticking her tongue out as she gazed about the crowd. She spotted Liam with Joe and while she would have loved to run over to the latter, he disappeared, Liam was left alone, and the sight of him made her frown just a bit. He was stupid and totally not getting laid any time soon for his...proposition. Who the fuck does that anyway? Definitely not a turn on.

Soon enough, the trio wasn't alone because Esperanza had returned to their company and while Natalya seemed to eye the girl's plate hungrily, Dytto had to stop herself from eyeing Esperanza hungrily because um...how unfair could the sun be right now? Making her hair glisten and shit like Dytto wasn't already staring any other day? Umm, hello, totally uncalled for, whichever God is responsible. Of course, Dytto kept all of that to herself and smacked Nathan on the shoulder because she didn't even need to see his face to notice that he was smirking. Stupid know-it-all, she thought grumpily. Nathan tapped her thigh a second later and Dytto slid off of him as he inquired quietly, "Want something?" Dytto beamed, exclaiming, "You love me!" Nate rolled his eyes, jogging lightly to catch up to Natalya while yelling over his shoulder, "Don't make me starve you!" Dytto only chuckled, realizing - belatedly - that he had purposefully left her alone with Esperanza. Traitor. She couldn't help but think before meeting Esperanza's gaze, a smirk forming on her face as her gaze - as always - flitted over the Latina's everything before settling on her dark eyes. "So...cap'n..." Dytto paused, as if remembering, before a devilish grin formed. "I actually get to call you that this year and not actually use it as a way to shade ol' Bitchanie. Sexy." And if that "sexy" came out a little too honeyed and flirty, Dytto can't be held responsible. This is Nate's fault. Why did he think this was a good idea? "But really...any late night practices or other ways you're planning on monopolizing my time with this year that I should know about? You know, a girl's gotta be prepared and I even bought a whole new set of jammies in case you wanna rendezvous in the gym again." Dytto said that on a wink since, well, she wasn't lying. Last year had been brutal.

Closer to the food, Nathan smirked to himself, knowing damn well one of his friends was cursing his name. But he was more focused on the blonde one and nudged her as they both grabbed plates to start fixing. He grabbed an extra for Dytto as he said lowly to Natalya, "So...since...well, Dee's a bit distracted right now, wanna tell me what happened to your lip this time? And try not to lie this time around...kinda lost your ability to fool me, Nat."

"The options are limitless."
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Liam read Dytto's text message but didn't answer. That was done in part because he was annoyed, and knew that she wasn't the only girl he could have sex with, so he wasn't going to beg, and because a minute after he and Joe began chatting, Joe disappeared, and was replaced by Farrah and William. Their presence brought a more genuine smile to Liam's face, since they were people who he actually considered to be friends. Liam was friendly with many people who weren't A-listers, but like anyone who benefited from such a rigid social system, he knew better than to call many of those people actual friends. "Look who it is. The David Beckham wannabe, and the Dancing Queen. Took you two long enough to find me," he commented with a grin, as he continued to fill his plate. He allowed for a silent pause for a moment as he decided whether he wanted a soda or a water with his meal, but after opting for the latter, he turned back towards them. "So, what's been good with you two all summer? I'm surprised that I didn't run into either of you in the Hamptons." That was where Liam had spent a fair amount of time over the summer, and it wasn't out of the ordinary to have seen some classmates there, since the Hamptons seemed to be the playground of the rich and famous, during the summer months.

When London came over, Liam didn't even hide the fact that he was checking her out from behind. She had an attitude towards him, that much was clear, at least to him, who knew her well, but that was cool. He liked them feisty, and he was still positive that he would get her back within the first month of school. Plus, if for some reason that didn't happen, his second option would be her tall and gorgeous best friend that stood beside her. Since London made it clear that she only wanted to address Farrah, Liam didn't go out of his way to address her either, but he did look towards Will with a bit of a smirk. Later, when they were alone, he would fill him in on how easy he knew it was going to be to get London back in bed with him. For now, though, he just said, "Dude, you better start filling your plate before everything's gone."

"I know, I know, senior year is the time for me to have
'fun'... if only it was that easy."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

"Hey Fred!" she said, her smile growing as the boy sat down beside her. Eloise was past the point of feeling weird about sitting along, but she wasn't going to refuse company, especially if it was someone who was as fun and sweet as Frederick was. "I'm good, what about you? What did you do this summer?" she asked, only before noticing that he didn't have a plate of food in front of him. She was already halfway through her own burger and wasn't going to stand for Fred missing out on the deliciousness that the barbecue was offered, even if it meant forcing him away for a few minutes to fill his plate. "Go make a plate! Maybe it's just because I haven't eaten all day, but the food is really good again this year." That in itself wasn't really surprising. Ellie wasn't a picky eater to begin with, but Crossroads also always seemed to be on top of making sure that the quality of their food was perfect. Considering the cost of tuition that so many students paid, that should have just been a given, though. Regardless, she was never disappointed with a meal she had on campus, whether it was at an event like this, or just an everyday meal at Waves.

Ellie wasn't close with Natalya, so she wasn't too knowledgeable on her annual gift-giving event, or else she would have questioned Fred on what he had gotten that year. She hoped that he was going to get food, so she probably wouldn't have had time to go into depth on how well he had moved in anyway, but regardless, Ellie appreciated how easy it was to just hang out with Fred. She was the kind of girl who was usually very quiet, preferring to listen over talk, but there were a handful of people who she felt comfortable enough after to really be herself around, and he was one of them.

Esperanza was sure that someone had gone and changed the temperature outside or she was really in her abuela's kitchen and she was dreaming. She cursed herself for wearing black be used of the sun that seemed to be soaking into her. A scowl formed on her visage as she spotted her other friends. London and Katherine had finally arrived, but she honestly didn't feel like going all the way back over to them even though Farrah was with them. Clearing her throat, she turned her head back towards the four just as a chip was stolen from her plate. "Oh no," she huffed. "The bitch took my fucking chip! And I worked my Latina ass off to get them," she continued, muttering something else inaudible in Spanish afterwards. She didn't like when anyone touched her food, best friend or not, she'd blow up on them.

Popping another chip in her mouth, she watched as Nathan and Dytto interacted. If it were anyone else she would have said something about how the two should get a room. However, that's not what she wanted to say. She tried to only pay attention to her food, but the girl's gaze was burning into her; which made it impossible to look at anything else without feeling as if she was in an oven. Esper jumped a bit when Dytto finally spoke. Her dark orbs frantically searched the area for something to look at. Oh shit, Nathan had left too. A one on one conversation that would be hard for her to get through while keeping it in her pants. Mentioning Stephanie made her stomach tighten and her facial expression change to disgust, "Oh fuck me, I almost forgot that in the 'tragic' case that she wouldn't be here anymore I'd be the captain." Esperanza was now in charge of two activities unfortunately. She would have to divide her time up for both extra curricular activities. She could show up to dance a little bit late because Farrah would be there to help coach the team without her. Now as Head Cheerleader, she would have to figure her schedule out on her own.

Keeping herself together after she had said that four letter word would not be easy. Licking her lips from the salty flavor, she hummed hesitantly. There were so many thoughts flooding her head and she couldn't piece together what she wanted to say. Last year, she had mentioned last year. Esper had tried so hard to forget it; she convinced herself that she was drunk that evening. In reality, she was as sober as someone who had never had a drop of alcohol. The Latina winced ever so slightly, a small cough escaped her lips. "Well," she said shortly. She didn't have any idea of how she was supposed to say this without stuttering. "I always thought you disliked our late night practices." An innocent smile appeared on her lips, but she was sure the brunette beauty knew that the smile on her lips meant so much more. "You're probably a little rusty on the routines. How about I catch you up tonight?" she continued, her smile turning into a smirk. This approach wasn't exactly the way she wanted things to end up, but how could she say no to someone who was literally making her mind go crazy? She was afraid that someone would overhear them and find out that Esperanza wasn't straight and then hell would break loose. But instead of voicing her concern, she just tilted her head while stepping closer so she could whisper in her ear, "I bet you look smokin' hot in those jammies," she said in a low and husky voice.

While William was entertaining the nobody, Farrah decided to get herself a plate of food. She did not get so much since she was not all that hungry. The dancer needed to keep up her body shape anyway. If she ate too much then she would not be able to move the way she does. Finally Joe disappeared, so the dancer could now talk to her friends. Picking at her food, Liam addressed her and Will. She rolled her eyes at him playfully. Of course she was going to find him. He was one of her close friends, how could she not find him. He asked about their summer and Farrah was trying to think of something that didn't involve at her secret rendezvous with Nathan. "Too busy in Dominican Republic to visit the Hamptons." She said. That wasn't a lie. She did travel there during the summer.

Will might have known she was lying, but he did not say anything about it. That was an added brownie point for him. London and her right hand Katherine approached the food which Farrah and her friends seemed to be blocking. The dancer did her part and smiled at the Queen. Crossing her was not on her list of thing to do this senior year.

"Farrah, you should totally come sit with Kat and I,"

Farrah raised an eyebrow in sheer confusion. 1. London was being nice to her and Esperanza was not around. 2. She was invited her to join her and Katherine. Farrah did not have a problem with either of them, but they weren't close. London may be her roommate, but she wasn't expecting the two of them to be painting their toe nails together. And Katherine was just another situation all together. Liam and Will didn't seem to mind if Farrah joined them, so she shrugged and agreed. "See you two later." She said.

Following the royal towards a table, she sat so that she was sitting across from the both of them. "So how were your summers?" She asked politely.

William talked to Joe since Farrah was not going to. In fact she was probably going to refrain to talking to anyone that wasn't A-List. That made him chuckled internally. Even Liam was talking to Joe. But Miss Dancing Queen would never. Joe excused himself and his attention was on his best friend. Will smiled at the comment comparing him David Beckham. They were pretty similar. Foreign and great at soccer. Not an insult. More like a future aspiration. Liam asked about their summer and Farrah jumped at the chance to answer. William already knows what Farrah did this summer, but apparently he was going to be the only person that was going to know.

William was going to answer, but then London arrived. He caught Liam checking her out and managed to keep the laugh to himself. HE smiled politely at the Queen. She might have issues with Liam, but she was still nice and friends with the Brit. As expected she did not address Liam. Unexpectedly, she invited Farrah to sit with her and Katherine. Farrah was confused, but when to sit over there, leaving Will and Liam alone.

When they were far away enough, Liam spoke up again about the food. The Brit almost forgot. William piled his plate with food. His plane ride was long and he hasn't eaten. This would be his first meal and a very long time. He already knows its going to taste like heaven."Oh. My mum says hi." he said, after getting his food. William talks about his friends back home and they love all of them. His mother especially has been trying to get his friends to visit. "How was your summer?"

Frederick was more than ready to explain his summer, if he wasn't cut off by Eloise encouraging him to go and get a plate of food. He was so concerned with seeing his friends that he had almost forgotten how hungry he was. "I will be right back" He explained before getting up. He did a light job over to the food and glanced over at all of it. It all looked so good, but the food here always looked and tasted great. A lot of money went into this place, if the food was anything less of amazing there would be a riot. Frederick happily piled his plate high, eager to eat every last bit of it. He grabbed a can of soda before returning to the table.

He slid into the chair across from Eloise once more and smiled. "I really missed the food here." he said before taking his first bite. Just like he thought, the food here was perfect. "To answer your earlier questions, I just played video games and worked this summer." He said to her with a shrug. It's what he does every summer. Every once in a while he will be able to go on vacation, but he mostly works to make sure that he has money for the school year. Unlike the rich kids, he has to pay for his own stuff.

"What did you do this summer?" He asked, before going back to eating the food in front of him.

Dytto knew she was fucked. She just knew it and again, she was blaming Nathan and partly, now, Natalya because neither of them had the foresight to recall that she should not be alone. Correction - she should not be alone with Esperanza. Because then Dytto fell on her typical I-can't-deal disposition, which included unnecessary flirtation. Flirtation was a part of her bravado and in all honesty, she hated it. At least when it came to Esperanza because nothing was going to come of it - she wouldn't let it. At least, she hoped she wouldn't. It seemed, now, more like wishful thinking than actually solidified plan.

But no, the real reason she was fucked was because she giggled. She fucking giggled. Any other person would giggle and it was fine. You're around a crush? Naturally, a giggle will arise. Perfectly fine. Absolutely nothing wrong with that except...except it was. Dytto giggled and she only did that around her friends and that's rare itself. Dytto was known for chuckling or just full-out laughing, there was a hardly an in between. And she giggled - which honestly wasn't her fault. It was Esperanza. Who the hell told her to make a cute face when she realized that she was the new cheer captain? Abso-fucking-lutely no one, that's who. So, Dytto had to tell herself that giggling was no fault of her own, of course, and that it was simply a reaction - along with the soft, amused smile she was sporting - because someone was cute. But she was still fucked and it honestly should not take either of her best friends that long to get food.

On second thought, she thought, recalling the "oh, fuck me" Esperanza started her little memory lane trip about her leadership status as the Latina's tongue peeked out and, distracting Dytto, licked her lips. Dytto really had to maintain eye contact at that point. Fuck me. Which she totally did not say at all because why would she? Totally not conducive to a healthy friendship...you know, since all she wanted to do was be friends with Esperanza. Nope, nothing more than that. Dytto distantly heard Esperanza questioning her about the late nights followed by the offer of meeting up tonight. Which should be a firm, very resolute no. It should and Dytto was a smart girl. Don't be like Eve in the bible and give in to temptation. Temptation is bad - and she definitely heard when Esperanza said she bet that Dytto looked smoking hot in her jammies. Definitely...since, there's only so much not hearing a person can do when the other person literally steps into your space to whisper in your ear. Dytto didn't jump because, obviously she's no punk bitch, but even she couldn't hide the minuscule shudder that ran up her spine at feeling Esperanza's breath too close to her ear. Which definitely was not an erogenous zone...in any way. Definitely not.

Dytto cleared her throat before forming a smirk of her own, twirling her fingers through her hair as she met Esperanza's gaze again because, again, she's no punk bitch, and eye contact was pivotal in proving that. "Well, she drawled, voice a bit huskier than it honestly should be but at this point, she was going with it, "I can show you better than I can tell you and tonight'll be perfect." She chuckled to herself, not at all ashamed to blatantly let her gaze fall to Esperanza's lips before rising to her eyes again. Since Dytto had never been scared of her sexuality. Wasn't a thing to be scared of, in her head, but then again, she didn't have Esperanza's social standing to actually give a fuck. "Besides, with the right...incentives," again, she definitely took a peek at Esperanza's lips again since she seemed to be feeling even more brazen than normal, "Who knows? Maybe late nights'll be more enjoyable for me this year." And that honestly was enough flirting at the moment for Dytto because she wasn't supposed to be flirting with Esperanza at all - totally Nate's fault, if she hadn't made that clear - so she stole a chip off the Latina's plate despite hearing her earlier proclamation of anger at her chips being stolen. Dytto popped it into her mouth before Esperanza could say a word and painted on the most adorable face she could while exclaiming, "I'll share mine!" Even bat her lashes just to up her cute factor...which should totally work, right?

At Esper's exclamation Natalya threw a response over her shoulder. "Oh bite me." As Natalya stalked across the barbecue towards where the food was she sent a few glares at people who tried to approach her, most of them junior or senior males but a few of them freshmen. The heat beating down on the open area was brutal and for a moment Natalya considered taking off the leather jacket she wore but decided against it with a sigh. As she reached the tables with food and grabbed a plate Natalya felt someone nudge her. Not having even noticed Nathan had followed her she turned on him with a deadly glare and a scowl before seeing it was him. Chuckling she smirked and rolled her eyes. "Sorry, you know how it is." As she started putting food on her plate she glanced over at him. "What's up?" As Nate grabbed a second plate, presumably for Dytto, he spoke in a low voice. "So...since...well, Dee's a bit distracted right now, wanna tell me what happened to your lip this time? And try not to lie this time around...kinda lost your ability to fool me, Nat." Natalya winced, looking away and focusing on putting food onto her plate. She couldn't lie to him, they knew each other too well at this point. Dytto was easier to handle, after about 5 minutes of avoiding the question the brunette would usually lose interest. Nathan on the other hand... Natalya pursed her lips and looked over at the guy in question as she put a cob of corn onto her plate. 'Why do you have to be such a good friend god damn it...'

Natalya would have no problem doing what she usually did, answering just enough to satisfy without risking anything, but after realizing her feelings for last year Nate and the fact that her cousin was less than an hour drive from the school had her more cautious now. Realizing her prolonged silence was more suspicious then anything else could be she just spit out what first came to mind, actual annoyance filling her voice as she remembered the fight. "It's nothing, just didn't think the fucker would actually have the balls to hit me in the face. If you want all the details then ask when we aren't surrounded by teachers." There was a smirk in her voice at the end as she rolled her eyes and put some ribs on her plate. Taking a few steps over to where the burgers were, Natalya looked at Nate out of the corner of her eye. She knew that avoiding the question, especially when she liked to brag a lot when she won, might set off alarm bells but then, it wouldn't be the first time they were talking about a fight and a teacher noticed some injury, getting Natalya a quick trip to the nurse's office. 'Hopefully he can just drop it... I haven't had time to come up with fake details of a fight yet...'

Remembering what he said about Dytto she looked back at their table and laughed. "Oh damn, what'd Dytto do to piss you off this time." They both knew about the thing Dytto seemed to have for the Latino, though Natalya didn't know if Nate suspected the feelings were mutual like she did. As Natalya finished smothering her burger in ketchup she set it on her plate, threw a few chips on to appease the crazy Mexican at their table, and walked towards the drinks. Grabbing herself a soda and Dytto a chocolate milk she looked at Nate with a raised eyebrow. "Yo, what do you want? Oh, and are you gonna be able to come to the Back to School party tomorrow? Sophia is making some amazing stuff." Since it wasn't uncommon for her friends to all crash at her house over the weekends, to the point that they all claimed their own guest room, they had met Sophia before and the little woman's cooking was phenomenal. Not to mention the fact that this was the first party of the year, and one of the biggest ones. Though, not as big as the end of year party Natalya threw. Sophia had spent two weeks cleaning up after the end of school party last year. At the thought Natalya chuckled a bit as she waited for Nate's answer, knowing he wouldn't be able to carry the plates for him and Dytto and their drinks.

A Ramos was supposed to never back down from what she said, but she immediately regretted every word that flew out of her mouth. She went way too far, further than she was supposed to even go. Someone should have shoved a filter down her goddamn throat because she had no control over her words. When Esper was stressed out or embarrassed, she'd clench her fists and become Esperasaurus Rex. But there was a slight problem, she was really turned on at the same time. The giggle must have done it. The fucking giggle must have sent shivers down her spine and cause her to feel this way. She had ruined everything and school technically hadn't started yet. It wasn't her fault, Dytto started it. If she hadn't looked at her like she was some sort of delicious piece of cake, Esperanza would have backed the fuck off. That's what you get for being a horny teenager with no self control.

Crinkling her nose, she felt herself shake a bit. The nerves were consuming her and she couldn't help but show a bit of anxiety. It was more She seemed to be staring right at her lips. Her face softened up a bit, taking in the girl's features. Now for once, she blamed herself for getting too close to her. Her insecurities were roaring inside of her. What would people think if they saw the Head Cheerleader going off into the gym at night? With her new reputation, things wouldn't be as easy as they were when she was just a cheerleader. She had always gotten by with the stares and the whispers after she slept with yet another member of the rugby team; it would be different once she came out of the closet. She would have to tell her family and risk being disowned, while other people would go around asking her for a threesome or some stupid orgy that would only please the asker. She'd probably have to tell Dytto how she felt too, which wouldn't be easy at all. In the end she feared she would be alone in this process. She was afraid Dytto wouldn't want anything to do with her anymore. After all the trouble she went through to let her know that she wanted her would have gone to waste.

She pursed her lips, nodding contently. It was impossible to keep a straight face during all of this, as soon as Russian Barbie and Nate got back it would be pretty tense. Not just awkwardly tense, but sexually tense. "Good good," she smirked. "I'm glad my best cheerleader is on the same page as I am." Those words were partially flirtatious but also serious. One thing Esper was good at, was bossing people around. Her first order of business was to have tryouts this year to be biased. She wanted to weed out the spoiled brats who had their daddies buy their spots on the team. She couldn't believe people allowed that. People could pay her a billion dollars and Esper wouldn't let them on the team if they sucked ass. Good thing she already had a sense of authority, hanging around London and having most of the cheer team afraid of her was definitely a plus. "Well, that's just great," she clapped her hands together. "I'm looking forward to it."

Just before she was going to step back to her original place because let's be honest - she was lingering a little too long over there. Her eyes set on her plate and the amused expression on her features turned into a much more strained one. First Russian Barbie, now Dytto? It was like the world was coming after her chips. She did finally step back into her original place, whipping her head around to see if anyone happened to be looking their way. She did not want to have any of her friends seeing their interactions. "Oh for-" her jaw dropped suddenly. Yes, the girl had decided to put on the most adorable look on her visage and it was driving Esper insane. Who the hell gave her the right to do that? She'd find that person and smack the shit out of them. No one's supposed to make Esper go soft - no one. "Fine, but Russian Barbie and whatever-his-name-is will be back soon so you better not take any more of my chips," she rolled her eyes, popping several more chips into her mouth.
