General Info:
Jade Dragon specializes in arms dealing, human trafficking, and financial crimes that include (but are certainly not limited to) scams and theft. They control a couple of warehouses in their territory. Some are used for storage, some are used as sweat shops that manufacture some of their knockoff goods, and others have various purposes. Their reputation among the people still greatly resembles the one they had when they were still the Triad branch of Larkan city. They are both feared and respected. The people of their territory have mostly learned how to peacefully exist under their presence, and so long as their terms are met, there is no conflict between them and the civilians. The faction regards its members as family and protects its own, so long as they deserve protecting.

The Long family is the ruling family of Jade Dragon. They have held power for nearly twenty-five years now, and it looks as though there isn't much that will change that anytime soon. As of now, the members of Jade Dragon are content with having the Long family in charge, specifically the patriarch of the family. Jade Dragon is profitting, and no major threats to their standing have arisen in the past few years.

Territory & Trade:
The Jade Dragon territory is practically all of Larkan's northeastern corner. Chinatown takes up the majority of this area, and is home to most of Larkan's East Asian citizens, particularly Chinese. Aside from the large population to influence and use to replenish its ranks, Jade Dragon also has access to a number of small businesses (more locally-owned than chain), discreet locations, a waterfront (but not so much a port), and some abandoned warehouses (not as many as are located in south Larkan). The small businesses are often used as fronts for laundering money or manufacturing goods such as clothing or drugs, and they are often controlled either by the group directly or by influencing the owner using manners such as bribes, blackmail, or extortion. The discreet locations provide areas for meetings, drops, and trades. The waterfront does not do the group as much good as it did in the past when they still had Larkan City Port under their control, but they can still use it for moving very small amounts of product around the city. The abandoned warehouses are used as sweatshops and factories to manufacture their goods.

Jade Dragon's main trademarks are human trafficking (which has decreased a fair amount since the loss of Larkan City Port), arms dealing, and various financial crimes. With White Tiger's new addition of street racing, Jade Dragon has also been attempting to build up enough skill in that area to challenge their rivals.

Front Organizations:
The following organizations are owned and/or controlled by the Jade Dragon syndicate for various purposes. These organizations are sources or income or power for the syndicate. It isn't uncommon for members to be employees at these organizations, or otherwise affiliated.
......ยป Tianxing Corporation - A multinational networking, telecommunications equipment, and services company

Satellite Syndicates:
The following crime syndicates act as branches of Jade Dragon, though are not always publicly known to be associates of the syndicate. Many have either been started by Jade Dragon members or swear allegiance to Jade Dragon in return for things such as money or protection.
......ยป Black Dragons

History:
Hailing from the east, the Jade Dragon syndicate is one of the Five Shadows of Larkan. This syndicate is considered to be the Third Shadow by most, as it was the third of the Five Shadows to rise to power; however, like the other four factions, Jade Dragon considers itself to be the first.

When the syndicate first arrived in Larkan City, they were a branch of the famed Chinese Triads. It was the first expansion of the Triad into Larkan after it had spent time observing the city to see if it was worth setting up a post in or not. When it was decided to make the expansion, the Triads sent over an initial fifteen members to begin. The members set up the new branch in the area where they thought they would have the most influence: Chinatown. Their predictions quickly proved to be correct, and the branch was flourishing in no time. As the years passed, the branch grew, and new members joined the original fifteen. They became more and more independent from the parent syndicate that they began thinking of breaking away to start their own. As one might guess, people do not simply leave the Triads. Two harsh years of struggle and nine dead people later, Jade Dragon was established as an independent organization.

Despite its split from the Triads, it still held much power and influence in the area where it was originally established. From there, it grew south, determined to own the entire eastern part of Larkan. It consumed the eastern waterfront into its land, but was stopped at the end of the port by another syndicate in South Larkan. Since then, it has not expanded much and instead focused on building the power of the organization.

About fifteen years after its separation from the Triad, leadership changed from the one family that had been leading it to the family whose patriarch held the second-in-command position. No one is quite sure of what happened to the Hu family, but the suspicious circumstances under which they either died or disappeared created friction within the group. The group divided into two factions: Supporters of the new regime and supporters of the old regime. Supporters of the old regime accused the Long family of tampering with the Hu family while supporters of the new regime claimed the Long family as now being the rightful leaders, due to the fact that their family name "long" means "dragon." The war broke out within the faction, and by the end, the Hu supporters were pushed out of the organization. Neither side gained much from the fight, and much more was lost by both sides than gained from the split. When the Hu supporters split, they created a new faction called White Tiger and took with them one of the keys to the Jade Dragon's power: the Larkan City Port.

Jade Dragon, whose previous main rival had been the El Rio Clan in South Larkan, now had a new archenemy: White Tiger. The two factions set themselves to be opposites of the other, both claiming to be the sole legitimate Eastern faction. None of the other three factions in the city cared much at the time, as they were willing to negotiate for peace with both so long as they continued to get what they wanted out of the deal. With White Tiger holding Larkan City Port and Jade Dragon still resting on the largest concentration of East Asians in the city, a rough pact of peace was made between the two, as both needed what the other had to keep power. The two factions still despise each other, with Jade Dragon seeing White Tiger as traitors and defectors, but as neither is willing to back down its claims to its territories and influences without a fight, a peace as strong as cracked ice on a frozen lake was the best they could get. Both have careful negotiators and envoys that they send to each other when they have an issue to work out, as war would be costly for both of them.
