Ulfar & Tyra Leiknir

Tyra wiped her brow with a fur covered bracer as she and Masaki re-joined the table, the crowd of men and women still cheering from the duel display as her father stood to make a speech. “Today is a good day. We celebrate the beginning of a great friendship between the Leiknir and the people of Wa. It is they who are to become our secret weapon to drive fear into the other clans and trample them in our stride. It is the people of Wa who will aid to re-unite our shattered lands and bring the Fyrkat once more under one king.” He turned to face the honoured guests. “And for this, the people of Leiknir are grateful; as such we have prepared gifts to remember such a momentous occasion. Ulfar gestured towards the cleared floor as two display carts were wheeled into the room, each covered with a bear fur.

“We present to you, cloaks made entirely from the skins of the rarest of animals in Fyrkat, the snow leopard.” He explained as the first bear skin was removed, revealing three cloaks of speckled ash grey fur. “And secondly, we present to you rings of the finest dwarven craftsmanship, forged deep within the mountains.” The second skin was removed presenting three glittering silver rings, each circled with blue sapphires somehow shaped into the block lettering of the Fyrkat runes.

Ulfar gestured one of his massive hands and servants brought the gifts forward to the table, presenting the Wa with their respective gifts. Tyra couldn’t help but smile, the rings were incredibly fine and even she had to admit they were beautiful; lightly magical too, granting the wearer protection from the natural elements.

Aithne Cauci

The clan had finally made their camp at the edge of the forest of life, named so as it holds the greatest of oaks in it's woods. Aithne skipped up to the nearest tree and rubbed her hand along it's bark, she could feel the natural energy surging through it, it was stronger than ever before. "Mother!" She shouted back to the other Druids and Druidesses as they marched toward the forest. "I can feel the energy, it's so pure and beautiful. " It was Aithne's first time to the Forest of Life, every druid must make the pilgrimage to the forest. Aithne ran deep Into the forest on her own.

The other druids swiftly caught up with her and formed the camp, using their nature magic they made the canopy above them into shelters and lit fires. The High Druidess then approached her daughter, "Aithne, my child, it's time." Aithne then followed her mother into the forest with 3 other druids. They approached the great oak and all knelt before it. "We kneel before the great oak, the greatest portal to our world from your heaven. We sing to the great ones and give our lives to you." Aithne's mother announced before the tree.

Oh, sweet mother, you see all we do and hear what we say before we, grant us this gift of your universal sight.
Oh, swift hunter, you hear the animals harmonic voices and can speak hem too, grant us this gift of your musical tongue.
Oh, pure pixie, you command the great nature we love, grant us this gift of your natural dance.
Oh, vengeful warlord, you command the great skies and all it's moods, grant us this gift of your powerful voice.
Oh, beautiful maiden, you hold every man captive with your beauty and clear skin, grant us this gift of your sweet skin.
Oh, lovely sister, you bless us with love and family, grant us this gift of your marrying voice.
Oh, strong harvester, you bestow health to our crops and people, grant us this gift of your healing breath.

The druids all rose together as they felt the surge of the natural powers, the high druidess rose with them and her face was as serious as ever. "This gift from the gods is as unpredictable as it is powerful, as dangerous as they are beautiful. Respect this gift or suffer the consequences." Aithne nodded to her mother before going of on her own. She delved deep into the forest and started dancing, flowers started to bloom at her feet as she danced, she then threw her arm out and the flowers launched forwards, shooting out thorns that pierced the first tree they came into contact with.

Katsura, Masaki and Himiko

Katsura, Masaki and Himiko watched with smiles as Ulfar stood to make a speech. “Today is a good day. We celebrate the beginning of a great friendship between the Leiknir and the people of Wa. It is they who are to become our secret weapon to drive fear into the other clans and trample them in our stride. It is the people of Wa who will aid to re-unite our shattered lands and bring the Fyrkat once more under one king.” He turned to face the honored guests. “And for this, the people of Leiknir are grateful; “We present to you, cloaks made entirely from the skins of the rarest of animals in Fyrkat, the snow leopard.” He explained as the first bear skin was removed, revealing three cloaks of speckled ash grey fur. “And secondly, we present to you rings of the finest dwarven craftsmanship, forged deep within the mountains.” The second skin was removed presenting three glittering silver rings, each circled with blue sapphires somehow shaped into the block lettering of the Fyrkat runes.

Katsura was humbled by the wonderful and lavish gifts the people of Fyrkat produced. He felt he was not worthy to receive such gifts. Katsura was most always humble. He replied, “Ulfar, your daughter, your people, and You and far to kind! I am truly humbled by such wonderful things gifted here today. Thank you. For a warrior such as myself I feel a bit undeserving of such gifts however royalty like Masaki would feel far more comfortable accepting such wonderful gifts.” Katsura gave Masaki a gentle smile, he wished a kiss could accompany it but that could only be done in private. Katsura bowed deeply to Ulfar and Tyra.

Masaki was amazed by the fine craftsmanship of the gifts. He only hoped that the gifts the people of Wa prepared were a fraction equal to what Ulfar and his people had given. “Lord Ulfar, I am as deeply humbled as my Lord Katsura by these gracious gifts.” Masaki said to Ulfar with a pleasant smile and then bowed as well.

Himiko Hatsumomo was equally impressed. As a geisha she had received many lavish gifts from men, and as the high priestess she also received very nice gifts as offerings for spiritual services. However none of those gifts were quite as special as what she received today. The gifts were thoughtful, and practical in use, not to mention beautiful. It definitely shed a different light on the people and culture of Frykat. Himiko looked up at Ulfar, “You are truly as thoughtful as you are strong Lord Ulfar. I have received many gifts in my time, but these are of the nicest ever given to me. Thank you.” Himiko also bowed.

Masaki stood to his feet. Katsura lowered his head in honor of the shift in status. Masaki was still the imperial prince and when fulfilling a duty as prince Masaki’s rank outweighed Katsura’s rank as daimyo. “Lord Ulfar we the people of Wa have also prepared gifts for you. I personally saw to their choosing so I’d hope you enjoy them.” Masaki gestured toward a few handmaidens as they brought the first gift. “This is from the Wa Emperor himself, my father. A golden imperial seal of Wa. It is believed to usher harmonious spirits into the kingdom.” Next a set of personal guards brought forth four sets of Katanas. “These are Katana’s crafted by the lands finest sword forger, Katsuoki Genpei. These swords will cut through the toughest of materials.” Masaki smiled with pride. “Last but not least, three jade necklaces. Jade is a strong symbol of good luck in our nation. Good fortune follow those that wear Jade.” The gifts were brought before Ulfar and Tyra.

Hatsumomo stood after Masaki once again took his seat next to Katsura. “I also prepared a little gift of my own.” Several of her handmaidens brought forward her gifts. “These are kimono of the finest quality. Please I hope you accept them. Also, I have brought Wa’s most expensive Plum wine and Green tea. Please enjoy them.”

Masaki wasn’t expecting Hatsumomo to bring her own gifts as well. Katsura stood to his feet. “Lord Ulfar, it is a great honor to be working with you and the people of Fyrkat. He will give our all in any way we can to help you in your mission to unify your land.” Katsura bowed once again.

Princess Tenanye sat in a carriage as her royal guards escorted her out of Anansai and toward Wa. The two nations have been allies for years. 20 to be exact and it was in celebration of this anniversary that she was on her way.

She and the Imperial Prince Masaki had been childhood friends during the signing of the alliance. She was glad to see him again after all these years. She sat with her hands folded over her lap, the material of her blue furisode laying on the seat like a cascading water fall. She wondered how much has changed since she's last been to Wa. She's always like it though it was a little too cold her liking, but then again, compared to Anansai, everything was cold. She'd heard talks that Wa and Lenkir were allies now as well, she also felt this would be a good way to get to know the people of Lenkir as well, She was not only the Crowned Princess but she was the Ambassador of Anansai and quite skilled in persuasion as well.

The more allies Anansai had the less enemies. Anansai didn't have many. They were a peaceful nation. They were open to trade and accepting if religion even though they held there own, praying to the The Spider Goddess, Ananse.

Tenanye sighed softly as one of her ladies in waiting, a slight girl by the name of Soo-Min, offered her a drink. "Here, Ananse-sama, You seem parched." She said with a smile in her light voice. "Arigato, Soo-Min, I am a bit." She said and honestly she wasn't, she was fine but the girl was new and happy to be brought along on this venture.
"Ananse-sama, May I asked a question?" Soo-Min asked. Tenanye nodded with a smile. "Of course."
"What is it like in Wa?" She asked. Tenanye smiled at the girl. "You shall see for yourself." She said and nodded toward tge carriage window.
There is was, Wa. It been a long time since she's set eyes on it and was glad to see the 14 day jounery was not for naught. Soo-Min grinned. "Sugoi!"

Tenanye was helped out of the carriage and leaded up to the main enterance. Her royal guards informed the guards to tell the prince of her Arrival and there, Tenanye waited.

Halldóra the Courageous

Alvar the Guardian Slave

The Children of Earth have traveled and camped near the English lake. Halldora, the female leader awoken in the morning early. And beside her was her Guardian Slave, Alvar. Alvar neared closely to Halldora as if he were her shield, her tool, or her armor. Though there was never a romantic relationship between the too, no never in tradition. If a leader produced a child with his or her Guardian Slave, it will be a disgrace to culture.

Halldora sat crossed legged as she not prayed, but pondered. She wondered if the god her people have been serving for years, if he was fake. It has been about ten years and they have remain to be nomads, perhaps they sin against a true god by worshiping an idol. There have been two gods of which they praised, the god of earth and the god of war. Deep inside she believe perhaps there was one god rule of all earth maybe of all worlds, all universes and a great enemy they must battle against.

She shook her head as she rose up. A means of gods was not priority, it was a settlement of her people. They planned to travel southwest where the grounds looked find. The temperature has been much warming than the Artic lands, however they have still remained determined for the South Atlantic land.

"Alvar," she called his name as he stood stiff for the pass hour, a technique the Guardian Slaves gain.

"Yes, Halldora, the leader of the Children of Earth?" he addressed her calling professional.

"Gather our brothers and sisters, we shall march to southwestern lands."

"Yes, my master."

He bowed as he ordered the people just as Halldora wish to begin packing and prepare for the Celtic lands.

The rythmic beating drums within the drinking hall echoed out into the streets of the city of Arkham. While the air outside was crisp in the twilight hour as the sun died the air within was warm and thick with the scent of roasting meats, strong drink and an over abundance of bodies. The people practically packed the mead hall of the Khal, built in his honor shortly after he conquered the city, and were well into their drink fueled revelry. Women so sensuous and ravishing men would go weak at the sight of them danced about seductively as around their curvaceous frames hung next to no clothing to speak of. The finest spiced wines, golden mead and frothing ales poured fourth by the gallon to the thirsty revelers. Roasted boar, venison, beef and wild foul could all be found in abundance prepared perfectly, the finely spiced meat practically fell off the bone as the hungry attendees enjoyed the feast.

As the men and women lost themselves in the music, sex and drinking one man sat still. An almost stoic expression on his face as he looked out across the people. Broad shoulders thick with muscle were leaned forward as he rested his elbows on his thighs. His long black hair, braided carefully fell down his back past the blue war paint. His dark eyes seem to catch everything before them as the music thumped around him. In his hand a single drinking horn, crafted from the horn of an ox rimmed with gold it was filled with rich honeyed mead. Around him lay three of the dancers, so beautiful and rapturous their sensuous allure could barely be described. They lounged comfortably around their Khal all beaded with sweat from the rigorous and passionate romp they had just experienced at the strong hands of the big man. One lay resting at his feet, resting her head on her hand as her elbow kept her fiery red haired head propped up, her nearly naked body casually stretched out before the Khal. Another lay draped over his shoulder, her milky skin and long golden hair seemed to glow in the fire light. Her delicate hand constantly rubbing his broad chest and shoulders as she looked out onto the feast going on before them along side her fierce ruler. The third was a raven haired beauty seated on the arm rest of the large chair her man was seated on. Comfortably she leaned against the back of the chair all the while holding a large carafe of the same honeyed mead the Khal was drinking should he need a refill.

Jinn was a complex man, not one for laughs or smiles yet here he was happy. While he appeared to be silently brooding he was truly content. He had strong drink, good food, and women abound. He was in his city, in his kingdom. A right hard fought but his none the less. The city had taken a while to bounce back from the chaos of his take over but now it was finally getting back on it's feet. It was thriving under his rule. The people were happy and loyal, gold was coming in and their borders were secure yet that was not enough for the ambitious Khal Jinn. The words of his chosen god echoed out in his mind from all those years ago in that pit. His destiny lay out there somewhere, with someone. A man or woman whom "fire did not touch". He would find them. No force of men nor gods could stop him.

Moloch had heard about Arkham long ago as a child. It was a depraved place where the nobility and rich bled the poor and downtrodden dry. It was as if the tyrant deity, Caetur, had manifested himself on earth and ruled a mortal city. Moloch's father had used the South Pacific Kingdom's division, lawlessness, and inept, greedy rulers as an example of a great kingdom which had succumbed to weakness. Drake City, or as it was no beginning to be called, the Drake Kingdom, was a place with its flaws, but place's emphasis on merit, particularly from its royalty and nobility, made it strong and prosperous. True, slaves died in its mines, but they were convicts, debtors, and prisoners of war who could still rise out of the misery of their existence and prosper. Yet, a new king had risen amidst the chaos. The long-divided South Pacific Kingdom was reunified and the internal problems preventing trade and diplomacy had been lifted.

It had also become a potential threat.

Moloch's more skillful diplomats were employed elsewhere and nobility, quite frankly, was terrified of this Khal Jinn. They feared they would be killed or worse given the way he had disposed the nobility of his own kingdom. Thus, Moloch had decided to visit Arkham himself, accompanied by his guard. His Guard Captain did not like this.

"You are being reckless, Sire. Again," Eirene chided him. Normally, Moloch would rebuke anyone who dared talked to him this way, but Eirene's job was to protect him. She had the right to object to him taking risks, even if they were calculated risks.

"This Khal Jinn needs to talk to someone he can respect. I am one of the few with both the authority and disposition to treat with him," Moloch replied evenly as they approached the gates of the city.

"You could have sent Cyrus. He's wise and has dealt with overbearing monarchs before," she stated. The old man at Cyrus' left hand smirked.

"Really, I do not wish to waste time proving that I'm not just another old man to yet another warrior chieftain," Cyrus told her, causing Eirene to wander whether he referred to him. Moloch, for his part, ignored them. They had finally reached the gate. Moloch eyed the guards with a cunning eye. Arkham had kept her legions, it seemed. He smiled and presented his ring.

"Please tell your Khal that the delegation from Drake City has arrived."

As the revelry continued and the debauchery reached a fever pitch a vision of elegant beauty stepped out onto the bear skin rug beneath the iron forged throne Khal Jinn had been sitting on. In her hand a magnificent lion skin, slew by Jinn himself with his bare hands. It was one of the few things she could get him to put on when the weather was warm.

"Enjoying yourself?"

Came the melodious voice from behind Jinn. His eyebrow arched, the faintest hint of a smirk etched onto his rugged features as he felt the tender touch of the Oracle placing the lion skin around his broad shoulders. The whore dancers that had been lounging over the Khal slinked off at the disapproving glare of the Oracle. She had never cared for those who sold themselves as play things. Khal caught the look and chuckled.

"I was... you should try to do the same."

Talia came around his seat and placed herself at his side with a mock look of surprise on her face.

"Is that humor? From the bristly slayer of kings?"

She teased. Her response came not from the Khal but from the second most important man in the kingdom.

"On the contrary soothsayer, the Khal can be down right hilarious. We once fought a rebel that went around calling himself the Hound of Arkham. Guess he thought it would instill fear in his enemies or some such non sense. Went around with a pack of wolf hounds and everything. In any case when we caught him you know what our Khal did?"

The Imperial Legate Gaius Septimus asked with a bold smirk on his face. Talia just scowled at him knowing full well the sad tale of the hound.

"He starved the dogs for six days and nights before he cut off The Hounds hands and feet and fed him to his beloved pack. I laughed so hard I cried."

"You're a beast."

The Oracle shot back at Gaius in sharp return. Gaius just chuckled smugly as The Khal grunted, seemingly unperturbed by neither the bickering of his advisers nor the memory of the horrible death The Hound suffered. Talia was about to speak again when her eyelids fluttered and she took a shuddering breath. Jinn flicked his gaze up at her, knowing full well what that trance like stare meant. Even Gaius looked to the Oracle for the vision she would soon deal out.

"They're here."

She said suddenly. No more than a few minutes later the doors to the great hall were opened and led by three Legionnaires was the King of Drake City, Moloch Markus.

The Music lessened to a slow and rumbling beat as the revelers equally lessened their rambunctious festivities. All eyes were on the two most important men in the room. The King from the city built atop the bones of dragons and the slayer of Kings. The people in the room held their breath while others whispered fears and doubts to one another. They were all shocked the King of Drake City actually came himself instead of sending a court envoy. The whispering flooded the background of the rhythmic drums as the leaders of Drake made their way into the hall. The two men in question locked eyes instantly. Silently measuring one another for any sign of weakness, sizing one another up as two male lions would do over a pride of females.

They were not the only ones either. The Imperial Legate levied a harsh stare at the infamous Captain of the Kings Guard. A stare which she reciprocated fiercely. The Oracle flashed a quaint smile at the kind looking elder on the other side of the king that spoke of good her good nature. All the while King Moloch made his way through the center of the room, never once failing in his bold gaze.

Jinn barely moved. His position in his iron chair had not wavered. His elbows still rested on his thighs as he watched the king like a hungry beast to see how he'd react. What would he see? Fear, apprehension, pride, arrogance? Finally Khal Jinn spoke up, his deep rough voice cutting through the tension like a jagged blade.

"You did not send an envoy in your place..."

The Hall waas impressive. Indeed, the whole city was impressive. To the un trained eye, it seemed the city could not have been the setting of such brutal punishment such aqwaas rumored to take place, but Moloch was not untrained. Rebuilt buildings, new ones, burn marks, the lack of self-indulgent fools... These were important clues.

The Hall itself was different than the other buildings in the city. It hailed from a different culture, one that valued good food and drink, little personal space, and shamless whores over civility and subtlety. Moloch eyed the Khal calmly. A fool would call him a brute and while there was savage strength displayed, there was great intelligence as well. Eirene was currently sizing up the Imperial Legate, displaying miitary confidene as they tried to intimidate each other.

Moloch smiled slightly at the greeting.

"Half of my envoys would underestimate you. The other half would fear you. I neither fear you nor do I underestimate you. Besides I wanted to meet you for myself."

He stood there calmly, searching for signs of the other man's thoughts or emotons. Yet he showed pleasure as well. He enjoyed situations like this.

Cyrus, meanwhile reached to brush the Oracle's mind. He smiled dryly.

Next, we will see threats, boasting, insults, and grudging respect. I shall give thanks to the gods if they don't beat their chests.

Eira Gunvald

It was the early hours of the morning in the South Atlantic Kingdom and Eira was walking through the almost deserted streets, it wouldn’t be long before she had to retreat indoors to avoid the sun’s rays. She had been tasked with a simple mission of reconnaissance of the Drake Kingdom’s movement, a task she had begrudgingly accepted as she would much rather have just killed the King himself and be done with it but Amelia did not wish to risk spurring a war if Eira was unsuccessful.

After some time of walking Eira reached the palace gates, the guards nodding as she passed. Although her nature was not publically known, Eira was still one of the Queen’s advisors and allowed entry wherever she pleased. Her boots echoed throughout the halls as she walked quickly towards the Queen’s chambers a messenger already sent ahead to warn of her early coming.

By the time she had reached the door to the Queens personal chambers, Eira could already feel the familiar edge of her requirement for blood beginning to creep up on her. It would have to wait, although Amelia tolerated the vampires requirements Eira could tell it turned her stomach.

Raising a fist, Eira knocked on the door before entering, closing it behind her. “Your majesty, I have unfortunate news.” She said as she bowed low to the young queen.

Talia giggled sweetly at the kind old voice in her head. It had been too long since someone had been able to touch her mind as she touched others. It was comforting and warming like returning to your parents home after too long away. She averted her eyes from the clever old wizard in order to temper her laughter. Gaius tensed his jaw at the foolishness of the Oracle but never broke his iron stare competition with the Captain of the Kings Guard.

While his Oracle giggled and his Legate glared their leader, the King Slayer, Ruler of the South Pacific Kingdom, Conqueror of the Pit of Shadows, Leader of the Children of Arktorius, Master of the Dothraki Horde listened. He listened to the words of the King of Drake. He measured his words, weighed their meaning and found their worth. There was a tense moment of silence as the people in the hall watched and waited for Khal Jinn's response. His eyes were locked on Moloch's then suddenly the first sign of his inner thoughts. A soft grunt like chuckle followed by the softest of nods from the big stoic man.

"A good thing... Your envoys would not have left my hall with their heads."

Then he rose, the massive beast of a man towered over every one in the room. With that action the lion skin dropped from his body around his iron throne. He stepped forward, his heavy footfalls resounding in the quiet hall. He stepped down to stand face to face with the King from the east, their eyes locked. The people held their breathes, fearful of what was to come next. Images of the blood of the last man of noble birth to stand in Arkham flashed in their minds. Moloch was not a small man, standing only a few inches shorter than Jinn and well muscled. While not possessing the hulking bulk of Khal Jinn he was no wafer thin prince but a warrior king. Jinn reached out a hand to his side, beckoning to one of his countless men nearby. He could have been asking for a blade as easily as a drink. Fortunately for two kingdoms and all those within it he was asking for the latter.

A drinking horn full of mead found it's way to Jinn's hand. He grinned and put it into Moloch's hand.

"You will drink with me and we will talk as men, not kings."

With that he turned and stepped back up to the landing where his throne was as the music picked back up again and everyone sighed in relief before returning to their revelry. He paused for the briefest of moments to turn to Gaius.

"Relax."

With that single word the hardened commander of the Arkham Legionnaires let loose a low growling, grumble but nodded. Finally he averted his gaze and nodded to one of the servers to bring wine and food to the guests. Khal Jinn turned his head just enough to throw a glance at Moloch before he motioned with his hand to follow.

"Come."

He said before walking off to the blood red curtains behind the throne to the Khal's private quarters where the two rulers could speak in private. The oracle, pleased with the outcome smiled politely at King Moloch before touching the mind of the kind old wizard.

"It's ok, he won't be harmed. I've never seen him take to someone so quickly. This is better than I could have hoped."

Amelia Stormborn

It was the time of the twilight hour in the South Atlantic Kingdom. A time when most people would still be lying fast asleep in their beds reoccupying from the past day events. However, this morning one of the few people who were actual awake in the kingdom was Queen Amelia. The night before she had been told by a messenger that one of personal advisors would be arriving to see her by dawn. She couldn't say that she was thrilled to be up at this hour but she was told that the reasoning for this early meeting was of great importance so she was awake and waiting.

Walking onto her balcony with a glass of wine in head Amelia overlooked her kingdom. The castle had many great views but she had to admit she loved the view she got from her balcony the best. Raising the glass to her lips she took a sip of wine as the sound of knocking on her door sounded. Gulping down the liquid left in the glass Amelia prepared herself for whatever it was she was about to be told. Walking through the silk drapes Amelia re-entered her bedroom to see her advisor Eira.

Eira was one of Amelia's many hired royal spies that she used to get intel on the other lands. Eira was different from the others because not only did she also served as an assassin and a good one at that but she wasn't human. When Amelia had first heard of Eira she was impressed by her skill but her vampirism made her uncomfortable and the thought of the woman drinking blood sickened her. However, Eira's skill was far more important than her bloodlust to Amelia which is why the woman had been employed by her.

“Your majesty, I have unfortunate news.”
Eira said as she bowed to the queen. A knot formed in the pit of Amelia's stomach as Eira got directly to the point of her being there. Amelia had assigned Eira to gathered all information she could on Drake City and it's king's movements. The peace treaty established between the two lands had done nothing to subdue the tension between them. This is why Amelia was treading with caution and why she didn't go with Eira's method to just have the king killed. While she had faith in Eira's capabilities the risk of her failure was to high for Amelia to stake. "What did you find?" Amelia asked as she took a seat on her bed.

Eira Gunvald

Eira stood herself upright once more as the Queen answered her, obviously already preparing herself for the bad news. “King Moloch has moved west to begin discussions with the Khal of the South Pacific Kingdom.” The vampire’s words were calm as she drank in the fine decoration of the room; she had been in there many times of course, but it’s décor always seemed very fresh to her.

“The Khal is of course very power hungry himself and could very well jump at the chance to join a new war.” She continued, turning her attention to the pristinely dressed queen. “It could be time for the South Atlantic to begin gaining allies, if nothing else as a deterrent.”

“I have also received news that the Kingdom of Wa has begun negotiations with one of the Fyrkat clans though I am yet to discover which one but with their already standing close relations with the Anansai they could be a prosperous option.” Eira didn’t break the queen’s gaze as she spoke, her emerald eyes locked with the young monarch’s.

It wasn’t until Eira had finished her report that she really began to pay attention to the other formalities she’d missed. “Forgive me ma’am, I know it is early. I hope you are well.” She added stepping nearer to the monarch. “I have also brought you a gift back from Drake City.” She smiled, untying a small pouch from her belt and presenting it to the Queen. Inside was a small golden broach in the shape of a dragon, though of a simple design it was obviously very expensive.

Moloch has a knack with people. Under different circumstances, our conflict with our easternmost neighbor would have long since faded away, but Fate has other plans. There is no greater hate than that born of love and both Moloch and Queen Amelia loved their parents and continue love their people.

Neither Moloch nor Eirene would approve of his monologe, but this young woman' essence was good. Besides, it wasn't something one wouldn't learn in an inn to the east. The old man took one of the offered seats and grinned over at Eirene. He gestured beside him.

"Come, Captain. The food and drink are good and the good Legate is a male version of yourself. You can compare disembowlement methods."

Eirene glared at him, but took the seat. Cyrus knew he'd eventually get her to eat. It had been a long journey.

Moloch, for his part, accepted the horn of mead with a grin and followed the Khal. It was just like he suspected. Khal Jinn valued honesty, respect, and strength. They were good qualities. Even if the two became enemies, which was unlikely at this point, Khal Jinn would still respect those qualities in him. Moloch would do likewise.

"Then we shall talk as men. So tell me, what do you celebrate? What is worth celebrating?"

Amelia Stormborn

Amelia's eyes met the vampire's gaze as she gave her full report on everything she had uncovered since the last time they had since each other. “King Moloch has moved west to begin discussions with the Khal of the South Pacific Kingdom.” This news gave reason for the sudden drop of her stomach. She had never seen or personally met the Khal of the South Pacific Kingdom but word of his reputation and the things he had done had reached her. From what she had heard the Khal was a beast of a man who was more of a brute than her father ever was, and if Drake City and the South Pacific Kingdom joined forces this would spell great trouble for her kingdom. While peace was said to be peace between her kingdom and Drake City the tension between the two ruling royals was undeniable. It was for that reason that she had had spies such as Eira placed within the city.

“The Khal is of course very power hungry himself and could very well jump at the chance to join a new war.” Amelia nodded but said nothing as Eira words only made Amelia more nervous. “It could be time for the South Atlantic to begin gaining allies, if nothing else as a deterrent.” The conversation and thought of forming an allegiance with other lands had come up in many small council meetings and the fact that Eira thought the same only proved that the council was right. The South Atlantic kingdom needed to form an alliance or two. Where to start thought was something that Amelia couldn't determine.

“I have also received news that the Kingdom of Wa has begun negotiations with one of the Fyrkat clans though I am yet to discover which one but with their already standing close relations with the Anansai they could be a prosperous option.” Gaining an alliance with the Kingdom of Wa, one of the many Fyrkat clans or the kingdom of Anansai would be beneficial at a time when it seemed a war was brewing. Eira's information had proven to be most useful and while it left the young queen with many troubling concerns she glad to have this information so she could use to to benefit the well being of her kingdom. At the current moment she wasn't a hundred percent sure what her next move would be but whatever it was she would have to act sooner rather than later.

“Forgive me ma’am, I know it is early. I hope you are well.”
Amelia mind had snapped back into reality at the sound of Eira's words, "The information you have granted me with is well worth the crack of dawn hour. I greatly appreciate you as well as your services Eira. With sunrise fast approaching you know your are welcomed to the kingdom as well as whatever else you may require." Amelia words were soft spoken and accompanied with a warm smile. Amelia was truly grateful for Eira and considered her as well as her services a gift from her Seven-Faced God.

As the vampire approached her she spoke, “I have also brought you a gift back from Drake City.” The smile on the woman's face left Amelia curious as to what her gift could be. She watched Eira take a small pouch from her belt and she looked at it was wondering eyes as it was presented to her. Untying the small pouch before her Amelia's face lit up with joy as she saw that within the pouch was a small golden broach in the shape of a dragon. The design of the broach was a simple one but that didn't change it's expensive quality that Amelia could tell it was made from.

The queen stood in awe as her gazed was fixed on the small gold dragon. She had been giving many gifts in her lifetime and while nothing could ever replace that of the dragon eggs she had been giving on her birthday four years earlier this gift was of genuine beauty. Standing up she embraced Eira in a hug ignoring the fact that at that moment Eira could possible want to drain her dry of the blood that coursed through her veins. Pulling away she took the broach from Eira and for a moment she studied the beautiful dragon it displayed. For a moment all of of the worry of what Drake City was scheming didn't matter to the young woman as she looked up and smiled, "I will treasure this gift always. Thank you Eira."

It amazed her how much joy a small broach could bring her, but it wasn't just the broach but what it represented that meant so much to her. Also the fact that Eira didn't have to bring her anything but her knowledge only made the broach mean so much more. Before Eira left her kingdom Amelia would definitely be granted her of gift of her own but for now she had greater concerns. She would be calling a small council meeting into service before the day was over to share the information Eira had given her and plan her next move.

A knock on her door followed by the voice of Nala one of her hand maidens told Amelia that it was time for her to get ready. "I must begin my day but please help yourself to the castle. Just let one of the guards no of anything you need and it shall be given." With a smile Amelia sounded for the maidens to enter before being ushered away to groomed for the day.

Aithne danced around the forest for awhile as a small meadow grew around her, sweet green ivy crawled up trees and sprouted pretty blossoms and roses grew from the floor surrounded by lavenders and tulips. She smiled at the beauty of it and also at the feeling of the pure energy flowing from the small meadow she had risen.
"Aithne," she heard someone call from behind her. "Is that you, my daughter?" Aithne spun around and bowed her head.
"It is me, father." She told her father, Desmond, smiling up at him but it was returned with a cold frown.
"You shouldn't be this far from the camp, wild beast roam these forests." He warned her, trying to scare her away from the Forest.
"The gods will protect me, father." She smiled at him, but her eyes showed her exhaust at his over protective nature. "I am their loyal follower, they will see no harm comes to me." Desmond smiled at his daughter. "And if they fail me, my father's teachings won't." Aithne continued, still smiling at him.
"You are so much like your mother," Desmond chuckled. "Return to the camp, the food will be ready when you get back."

Aithne did not disobey her father and briskly returned to the camp, her youngest brother ran up to her, a toy sword in his hand.
"Ah! A witch of the forest!" He yelled at her and swung his blade in front of her. "Stay back!" He howled and Aithne played along in his little game.
"Stay back, brave celt." She hissed at him. "My power can grant you many things all you must do is ask and I shall give you your wish." Aithne teased.
"No! I slay you, save my people!" He yelled and stabbed Aithne inbetween her arms and torso. Aithne faked a death amd then grabbed her brother.
"I've come back to torture ou, brave celt." She started to tickle her brother, his hysterical giggle making her laugh.
"Aithne, Cormick!" She heard their mother call and stopped tickling her brother.
"Come, little brother, it's time we break our fast." She stood up and took her brother's hand and led him to the food.

As his Oracle contemplated the words of Cyrus and what part this Queen Amelia would play in the days to come the rulers of the South Pacific Kingdom and Drake City were bathed in darkness. Khal Jinn's private quarters were for none other than himself, he did not often bring others into his personal space. As such there were no lights, no lanterns or torches lit. Just the crushing darkness, the unending black. The foot falls of Moloch slowed once he entered the darkness as his eyes struggled to adjust to the absent light while Jinn moved as if there had been no change. The darkness seemed familiar to him, like an old friend or family member. It was after all his only family for so long.

A knowing smile etched it's way onto Jinn's face as he walked through the black with ease. He paused by a small cabinet seen only to him and opened the small cupboard to reach for the flint and candle stowed away there.

"A moment King of Drake, you will see the light soon enough."

He said as he began to strike the flint to light the candle. The momentary flicker of orange sparks was all that was visible in the utter darkness as Jinn set to his task. In a matter of seconds the candle was lit and the room was granted the faint orange glow it provided finally giving Moloch his first view of Jinn's private quarters. Rich, crimson cloth hung from many of the surfaces while spear, shield, mace and axe could be found laying around the room. In the center of the oval room was several animal skins, mainly large predators like wolf and bear. Atop those skins were three comfortable looking wooden chairs, one draped in more crimson and the other two were not. Any area outside of the candle light was hidden in shadow giving Moloch no real idea of how large the room actually was nor what else may lie in the darkness.

Jinn casually took his seat on the crimson chair before motioning for Moloch to do the same across from him. Jinn sat back comfortably and drank his honeyed mead. The golden liquid was sweet to the taste yet the strength of the alcohol was warming to his body. He breathed out a relaxed sigh before eyeing the King once more.

"You ask what there is to celebrate, what I see worth while to celebrate?"

He asked aloud, reiterating Moloch's earlier question.

"I see value in many things, King of Dragon Bones. I can drink to the birth of a child as easily as the death of an enemy. Yet... I think I need not tell you that."

Jinn said intelligently.

"You have already proven yourself above underestimation and petty fear. Someone like myself must deal with these things often, it is... refreshing to meet someone who does not see merely a beast nor a brute."

Jinn paused to drink more from his horn before continuing.

"You have come a long way, tell me why. What do you hope to achieve from this meeting?"

Tenanye and Soo-Min were guided into the main lobby where they were to wait.
Tenanye was lost in thought.
"Ananse-sama?" Soo-Min asked. Tenanye looked. "Yes?"
"Penny for your thoughts.

Tenanye smiled. "It's just the conversation I had with my father. He doesn't agree that I should go to Khal myself." She said. Soo-Min'd brow creased. "I don't either." She said. Tenanye just smiled. "Khal Jinn is a frightening. I heard it told he killed a bear with his own hands." Soo Min expressed. Tenanye was nervous, he is a frightening man but she meant no warm. "The only people that fear him, fear and expect war. I don't want to avoid war. I want to open trade, I mean them no harm."
"He is the King Slayer."
"I am not a King."
Soo-Min's expressiom dropped. There was no stopping the Princess when she got a thought in her head. Even King Amun himself, couldn't get her to stay.

"You shouldn't go." Soo-Min said finally. Tenanye took her hand and Soo-Min blushed. "Soo-Min, I greatly appreciate your worry but I'm not asking for more the opening trades between nations." she said and Soo-Min nodded. "Alright but I'm coming with you." She said and Tenanye smiled with a light laugh. "Is that so?"
Soo-Min rose her head. "Of course, can't let you have all the fun." She said and the girls laughed.

Tenanye was still nervous but she wasn't about to let that stop her.

She called for a messenger falcon. She wrote a letter to Khal in beautiful gold script.

Khal Jinn,
I, Princess Tenanye Ananse of the Kingdom of Anansai would like to formally request an audience with you. To discuss possibly opening trade between our nations.
If you wish, I can arrive within 20 days time.

Halldóra the Courageous

Alvar the Guardian Slave

The Children of Earth pushed on, marching on the grounds until they halted at the Celtic lands. The area was engulfed by forests, and with forests there are animals, and with enough animals there is a feast.

"Alvar," Halldora called her slave in their tongue.
"Starvation not today, command our brothers to rest their packs and venture out to hunt. The Celtic lands are plenty in forests, they must be with animals. With good aim we shall bear full bellies."

"Yes, sister," he confirmed with a bow of his head as he turned around and shouted the command of Halldora,

"Sister and leader, Halldora, has ordered us brothers to rest our packs and journey out to hunt. Let us brothers raise our spears and sword, let our arrows fly into the flesh of these animals gifted to us."

In the tradition of the Children of Earth, the men hunt. It is a service the men give the ladies for the women are the ones who must bear the pain of birthing children. Though men hold no greater purpose than women, no a female lead, Halldora has proven it. She slung down her possessions as she sat on a tree stump. She glanced at the trees and soil, it seemed perfect the temperature was not chilling however not boiling. But she believed not to settle there, no she must do of what she promised her father.

After about an hour the men returned with deer, elk, raccoon, various birds, and wild boar. Alvar returned with a smile grasping an elk, he spoke, "We are plenty, sister. This may be paradise."

"Do not expect paradise to throw itself at us."
"Yes, master."

Alvar was rather disappointed of being acknowledge that they were not going to settle there, though he was relieved of her decision after discovering that other tribes have settled. And he was also joyful knowing that Halldora was true to her promise.

"Who are they?" questioned Alvar.
"The Celtics," answered Halldora.

Aithne broke her fast with her brothers and sisters, she laughed and played with her siblings as they broke their fast. She caught a glance at her mother and father as they broke their fast, Collene was nervous and silent, and Desmond had put on his leader's face, fearless and brooding. Aithne looked down when her mother looked towards her children, Aithne managed to see her mother smile at her children's playfulness. Aithne looked up to her elder brother, he was watching his parents with uneasy eyes.
"Dwayne." Aithne whispered to him, leaning closer to hear him over the cries of laughter. "What's happening?" He merely looked at her and shook his head.
"I'm not sure." He admitted, before standing up and leaving the tent, Aithne followed after him. Once outside, Aithne and her brother both looked up to see smoke rising from another camp.
"That's not of our people's." Aithne whispered to her brother, they watched as many people scurried around the main camp, rushing to and fro.
"No." Dwayne murmured. "They're Children of Earth." He then grabbed his weapons, a bow and multiple weapons.
"You can't attack them!" Aithne warned him, grabbing his forearm. "We must let them pass peacefully." Aithne's brother pushed her away and made his own way into the forest. Aithne quickly followed after him, the bottom of her skirts covered in dirt as she caught up to him. "This is sacred ground, you can't kill here." Aithne whispered violently into his ear.

As they neared the camp, Aithne had given up on try to stop her brother but made him promise not to kill anyone, he would just scout the camp. Aithne used her magic to cause thicker shrubbery to grow, somewhere for them to hide in. They approached the camp and watched them.
"A woman leads them." Dwayne whispered to Aithne, a smug smirk on his face. "The men must be weak." Aithne punched her brother's arm.
"You're weaker than me." She muttered and he chuckled, a little too loud.
"In terms of magic, yes, in terms of might, no." He then went back to scouting the camp, it was too long until they were caught, however.

Halldora and her clan did not set for clan, no they instead chopped blocks of wood and began a fire to rest their meat in and cook. When the prey was ready and steaming with the fresh aroma of meat. The tribe sat around the fire feasting on the meat sloppily. Halldora tore her teeth into the deer meat as her tongue wrapped around the leg bone.

"You gain my approval, Alvar my slave and brother," she confessed to him with her mouth piling with flesh. The Children of Earth know of no eating matters. "You gain my thanks, you gain the permission to eat."

"I thank you my master and sister. I shall patrol the camp, I shall protect you," he spoke; he has trained his body to stand days without eating. He dipped his hand in the dirt and rubbed it against his right cheek as he prayed to Damek. The tribe remained confused towards their deity but strived to discover him. They were not knowing if Damek was only god of earth or god of the universe.

Alvar trained his mind to hear and smell like dog, for he is found like a dog, a loyal and loved one. However he has not fully conquered the senses, but he has more advances senses than the average human. He heard breathing and not chewing of what his people were doing, he heard whispers and footsteps. He followed them like a hound would, he discovered a boy with a bow and weapons, he swiftly and hurriedly grabbed the boy's neck and focused him sword on him.

"Inturder!" he cried in their language.

Aithne was knocked into the mud as the man grabbed her brother, she heard the man yell something In a foreign that she did not know. "Dwayne!" She yelled her hand reaching out to grab him but instead ivy from the trees lunged towards the man, coiling around him. "Release him!" She yelled, she closed her fingers into the base of the fingers, thorns starting to protrude from the Ivy that wrapped itself around the man. "We don't want any conflict!" She didn't know whether or not the man could understand her but she had to attempt talking to the man.

Dwayne scraped at the man's hand as he tried to suck in air, he flailed his legs, attempting to kick he man in the groin but he couldn't concentrate enough to hit him, he noticed Aithne's ivy wrapping on the man's arms. "Aithne! No!" He croaked, afraid the man would target Aithne and kill her because of her magic.

Aithne looked at the camp, others had approached them. "Please! We want no conflict!" She was panicking, making the ivy cling tighter to the man as more of the men approached the 3, she screamed, "Stop!" The ivy pulled away from the man and a huge gust of wind flew from her, knocking everyone back, some plants even uplifted and a few thick trees swayed. "We mean no harm!"

The deeper the thorns tore into Alvar the tighter his grasp matured. Blood poured form the wounded parts, but he continued to choke the boy until the ivy vanished. He did not understand what they were yelping but Halldora arrived with her bow and arrow directed on the strangers. When the wind blew over them Alvar, stumbled back with eyes glaring.

"Celtics?" Halldora questioned not using their tongue, lowering her bow, she knew if the two where foes they would not shout but soar their weapons into combat. Halldora knew a bit of the Celtic tongue , for her father has defeated Celtic clans of which they migrated near the Artic lands.

Alvar however found them as enemies for the thorns of which stabbed him. He rose his sword to attack but Halldora spoke to them now using their language, "Put away with your blade, Alvar. If he wish for a battle she would have brought one."

"Yes, my master," he answered her, sheathing his weapon.

"You are... Celtics, yes?" she toiled through the words with a heavy accent.
"We no fight... If you no fight."

The royal ambassador from the country of Anasai had arrived in the kingdom of Wa. The servants all scurried about fine tuning their preparations. The Emperor was noticed and a smile glided across his face as he sat in his throne room, the empress at his side. Emperor Katsuhito was, at the time, having a conference with his brother in law, Nobleman Junpei Tsukino. Katsuhito was glad to hear that the ambassador, Princess Tenanye had arrived. She was like a family member of sorts to him and the imperial family. katsuhito knew Tenanye and Masaki made good friends as children. Katsuhito said to his wife Empress Suiko, and his brother in law Junpei, “If only Tenanye were a lady of Wa, she’d be eligible to marry Masaki.” Little did he know, that Masaki had already been wed to the Daimyo Katsura.

Junpei stepped forward, “I’ll meet with Princess Tenanye and escort her here. It’s been a long while since I’ve seen her and I’d rather I greet her than one of the other stiffs around here. If you’ll exscuse me my lord and my lady.” Junpei then bowed and headed out to meet Tenanye.

He approached Tenanye and her attendant with a great smile. “Greetings Princess Tenanye. I’m sure you don’t remember me. But I remember how beautiful you were before but wow, you’re simply gorgeous now.” Junpei smiled brightly. Junpei was several years older than Tenanye and Masaki but he was fond of her. Junpei examined the young woman next to Tenanye who was equally beautiful. “Who might I ask is this beautiful young lady?” he asked Tenanye. He then introduced himself. I am Tsukino Junpei, nobleman and brother to Empress Suiko. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Junpei gave a deep bow of respect to Soo-min. After raising his torso he said brightly, “I’ll be showing you to the emperor’s quarters. He and the Empress will be glad to see you again. If you and your lovely attendant would kindly follow me, I’ll take you there.” With that, they headed to the emperor’s smaller quarters.

Emperor Katsuhito and Empress Suiko smiled brightly as Princess Tenanye and Soo-min entered the room. “Princess Tenanye it is indeed a pleasure to have you here in Wa once again! Welcome!” Katsuhito greeted her warmly his arms extended outward in a welcoming manner.

Empress Suiko gently spoke, “I hope Junpei behaved himself. He’s prone to trouble.”

Dwayne sucked in air as soon as Alvar released him, coughing as he did. Aithne quickly ran to his side and hugged him. Aithne looked over her shoulder at the woman speaking, "You know our tongue?" Aithne asked, her eyes filled with curiosity. "Yes, we're Celtic. We are from the camp across the forest."
Aithne noticed the woman had lowered her bow and Aithne smiled in relief. However, the brute raised his sword and Aithne grew fearful again but the woman said something in her own native language that made the man drop his weapon, he also muttered something as he did so.
[b]"You are... Celtics, yes? We no fight... If you no fight." The woman managed to say to Aithne.
"Yes, we are Celtics." Aithne nodded, her eyes fixed on the man she had attacked. "We only wanted to know if you were enemies or friends." Aithne quickly explained, nervous that the woman told him to kill them after she'd got information out of them. "Please, we'll leave. Our father won't know who you are!" Aithne was panicking and it was clear on her face.
"Father already knows that they're the Snowy Barbarians." Dwayne whispered in her ear but she ignored him and bowed her head, awaiting the woman to speak.
