Name
Ajax Alexander

Age
Twenty-Two

Appearance and Build
Ajax physique can be very intimidating thing to come face to face with. He keeps his dirty blonde hair cut short and has a manicured scruff. He has intensely captivating crystal blue eyes that he is said to have inherited from his father. Broad shoulders, massive biceps and a shredded 7-foot-5, 295-pound frame. His height helps spread out his weight. His strength gives him a rather filled out form, but he is not regarded as being overweight, just muscular. Between horse back riding, sword fighting and training with the gladiators of Salamis the half-god has the body of a god and strength to match. When it comes to his attire you are unlikely to see Ajax dressed in the luxury robes of royalty. He days are most spent training so when he is seen it is commonly clothed in only protective garments around his waist while having a mostly bare upper torso adorned with wrist-guards and belts to hold further weapons and returned to using a shield. Majestic. Every thing about him carries dignity and authority with it; his look is meant to strike, sometimes with terror, and sometimes with gratitude, but always with respect.

What/ Who they are?
He is the King of the Kingdom of Salamis. He like his cousins is known as and often called the half-god because of his godly parent. He is the son of Jupiter and Queen Alcmene. He is also known as the Champion of Salamis as he has remains undefeated in the gladiatorial games held in the kingdom.

Where they live?
Ajax calls the Kingdom of Tripartite his home but he lives in the city capital of Aianteio in the kingdom of Salamis.

Allies & Enemies
The Kingdom of Tripartite has just entered in an alliance with the South Atlantic and North Pacific kingdoms. They don't have any enemies at this time but only time well tell if it stays that way.

Personality

Ajax is a man who would prefer to lead on the battlefield instead of ruling from a throne. He is a born warrior, and most of his skills lie in the area of martial expertise. He isn't a very politically ambitious man, much to his mother's annoyance, and often turns down her frequent urgings that he should remove himself from the forefront of battle and settle into his throne. He has little interest in politics and court intrigue; by his own admission. Political maneuvering is just not his way, he sees himself foremost as a soldier who when confronted with a problem would rather take out his sword and cuts its head off to be done with it all together.

Ajax is a brave, strong and caring man, though at times he can be stubborn, prideful and assertive much like his father Jupiter. He has high levels of inattention, is highly distract-able, impulsive and restless, hyperactive or hypersensitive (ADHA). While somewhat arrogant, Ajax believes in working hard to earn titles and position. Ajax is a man who's respect is earned never given. He doesn't care about what you think your birthright entitles you to if you haven't earned it than you do not deserve it. It is as simple as that.

He's time spent training with the gladiators has given him a great deal of respect for them. It is because of them that he doesn't view people by their social stature but by who they are inside. To him a person is only deemed worthless when they themselves have proven that they have no worth.

Ajax' religious beliefs are a matter of debate. At certain times he seems to deny the existence of any gods, although at other times Ajax seems to acknowledge them as presently involved in his life. He was the last of the four half-gods to actually believe in and acknowledge was the son of his godly parent. It wasn't until Ajax finally accepted who he was that he was able to untap his true potential and really become the son of Jupiter. While he now accepts who he is the fact that the Gods do not have contact with their mortal children makes Ajax resent his father. However, in times when Ajax has been in need of and asked for Jupiter's help has father has never let him down.

He has a strong sense of honor and justice as shown by his great compassion. He greatly cares for his friends and family willing to risk his life to protect or help them. He loves to laugh and make jokes, and would try to lighten up tense situations with his sense of humor. Unlike some of his family members, he never hesitates to speak his mind, which when paired with his rather sword first words later makes him a loose cannon.

During his free time, he likes to play competitive sports and games, especially anything that involves a physical challenge. He is well known to physical participate in the gladiatorial games of the city, much again to his mother's disapproval. His keen intellect and deadly skill combine to make him a true master of war. Despite his somewhat reckless nature, Ajax is a born leader and a great one at that. He has a love for his family, his friends, his People and his Kingdom that is undeniable. Ajax maybe a half-god but at the end of the day he sees himself as nothing more than just a man. He is a man before he is anything else and being but a man he is not perfect. He has many flaws as he is somewhat arrogant and his temper and caring tongue is not one that a King should probably have. However, it is part of what makes him human and despite his flaws he is a good man and a great king.

Skills and Abilities

Combat Prowess

Before his gladiatorial training, Ajax was already an adept warrior, being able to utilize sword and shield with skill as well as having impeccable aim in throwing a spear. His own fighting abilities allowed him to take on four gladiators at one time, even before his own training as one. Following his gladiatorial training, Ajax greatly develops his fighting abilities and eventually becomes the true Champion of Salamis. Ajax is skilled in multiple styles of combat and in use of a cross-section of weapons. Being able to fight with a sword and shield, single-sword, dual-swords and use of the spear, both as a weapon and projectile. He has also used an axe, cestus, hammer, aquila and is extremely proficient in unarmed combat.

Ajax "signature techniques" are;

• Skillfully throwing his sword at his opponent, impaling them. He was told by his instructor that throwing his sword in the arena is equal to death, so he generally throws his sword only when fighting as a Dimachaerus, leaving him with his other weapon to protect himself.

• Jumping towards the opponent (generally he jumps off something) and trying to stab them. He doesn't do this move to often as it is a difficult technique to use. In the times that he has done it thought it has proven to be successful.

Tactical Ability

Altogether, Ajax is a force to be reckoned with in both the arena and on the battlefield. His keen intellect and deadly skill combine to make him a true master of war. He is a skilled strategist and tactician and has knowledge of the strategies used across the lands. These traits, coupled with his bold, proficient tactics have provided invaluable leadership to the kingdom's army, giving them an unblemished record in battle.

Half-god Abilities

Half-gods are relatively stronger, more agile, and more durable than regular mortals, and have more resistance to diseases. As a child of Jupiter Ajax has strong abilities over lightning and the wind. He can send volts of electricity out of his hands without problem. He can control the wind, the older and stronger he gets the more dangerous and powerful the winds become. He can whip the wind at dangerous speeds. Able to summon lightning from the sky. He feel strengthened when in the air, and can breathe in the highest reaches of the atmosphere. Ajax being the son of Jupiter has a god-like strength that out ranks his half-god cousins. Heightened senses and natural aptitude for battle. He has greater battlefield reflexes and the ability to predict where an opponents will strike before they do. Being the son of Jupiter; Ajax holds divine authority over the creatures of the sky as well as weather, having powers that are greater than the children of nearly every other god. Ajax has the power of Aerokinesis, Atmokinesis and Electrokinesis.

• Aerokinesis: The power to manipulate the air.

- Create/generate/increase, shape and manipulate air and all forms of wind from tornadoes, hurricanes, vertical drafts, micro-bursts and other devastating forms of wind. Naturally can also create any less extreme air/wind movement.

- Air Attacks

~ Air Ball Projection: Create and launch spheres of air/wind.
~ Air Beam Emission: Release beams of air/wind.
~ Air Blast: Release air/wind over a specific target area.
~ Air Bolt Projection: Release many low powered projectiles of air/wind.
~ Air Bomb Generation: Create bombs/explosions of air/wind.
~ Air Breath: Discharge air/wind blasts from mouth.
~ Air Bullets: Fire in short sequence over a wide area.
~ Air Infusion: Empower and energize anything touched or used (usually a weapon) with air/wind.
~ Air Wave Emission: Send out a wave of air/wind that repels everything.
~ Expanding Air Bolts: Project air/wind that expands rapidly on contact with an object.
~ Formulated Air Blasts: Release blasts of air/wind in a form of a creature or object.
~ Hand Blasts: Release air blasts from hands.
~ Missile Generation: Create missiles of air/wind.
~ Omnidirectional Air Waves: Send out a wave of air/wind in all directions.
~ Razor Wind: Use air/wind to slice enemies.
~ Reflective Attacks: Release attacks of air/wind that can bounce off of any surface.
~ Scatter Shot: Release air/wind blasts that split into multiple fragments.
~ Sword Beam Emission: Release air/wind blasts from swords and other such bladed weapons.
~ Zap: A tiny short release of air/wind to cause pain or discomfort, usually too low-powered to be destructive.

- Air Solidification, Density Manipulation, and Pressure Manipulation via controlling air molecules.

~ Aerokinetic Constructs, including weapons, walls, armor or allies/servants.
~ Crushing works by increasing air pressure.
~ Vibration Emission works by releasing bursts of compressed air molecules.

- Atmospheric Adaptation: The lungs acclimatize and respirate in/on any gaseous mediums, whether hostile or deficient, users lungs also filter away non-gaseous substances such as dust, asbestos, etc. They can breathe toxic gases instead of oxygen and survive montane, aerial, or terrene air deficiency, which are among the longest and most painful deaths the average human can suffer.

- Electrical Immunity: Body is unharmed and immune to electricity

- Elemental Telekinesis by manipulating the air.

~ Repel projectiles by controlling air vectors.
~ Enhanced Strength/Tactile Telekinesis by using air pressure to lift heavy objects and land harder strikes.

- Enhanced Senses using wind:

~ Enhanced Touch by reading the airwaves and feel any disturbances.
~ Enhanced Hearing by amplifying air molecule vibrations.

- Enhanced Speed by reducing air resistance and utilizing pressurized air for propulsion.
~ Jet Propulsion by using compressed air pressure for supersonic bursts.

- Manipulate the various gaseous molecules within the atmosphere for various effects.

~ Combustion/Explosion Inducement forcing volatile elements to ignite via friction.
~ Deoxygenation by removing the oxygen in the atmosphere.
~ Generate explosive and propulsive energy via nitrogen.
~ Purification of the air by removing hazardous molecules.
~ Rot/Rust Inducement by oxidizing the target's area.
~ Vacuum Creation by removing all air molecules out of the area.

- Various forms of traveling:

~ Aerokinetic Flight: Able to take flight by riding the air currents, by a wind storm like a tornado, and/or self produced air/wind.
~ Air Walking: Can walk on the air, treating it like a solid matter. He can run and move across the air as if walking on the ground, giving them greater maneuverability in his environment.
~ Levitation: Can cause oneself/subjects/objects to hover/float in the air unassisted, allowing the user to carelessly float in the air and prevent their bodies from making contact with the ground below.

• Atmokinesis: He can sense, create, shape and manipulate weather, ie. the meteorological patterns, creating rain, wind, hail, lightning, snow, sleet, fog and temperature changes. This includes the ability to generate various natural phenomena or control the intensity of the weather in highly concentrated (inside room) or vastly extended (continental) areas.

There are four main factors of Weather manipulation:

- Air Manipulation - for wind and related effects.
- Electricity Manipulation - lightning in all variations.
- Thermal Manipulation - make it cold or hot.
- Water Manipulation - rain, snow, fog etc.

- Aerial Adaptation: Able to withstand extremely high or low air pressure (not becoming disoriented or deprived of the normal breathing capacity), and high wind friction; this is accompanied by an innate immunity to the vertigo and/or fear of heights.

- Electricity Manipulation for various electric effects:

~ Lightning Bolt Direction/Electrical Beam Emission: Can summon lightning bolts from the sky or project them from their hands, using them to blind, stun, and/or severely burn their opponents even to the point of death. They can range, from minor to fatal voltage. If enough power is generated he could destroy and/or vaporize matter. Unlike normal bolts of lightning, they could use them as concussive or even piercing forces.
~ Lightning Calling: Has the power to send lightning from the sky that could be used to blind, stun, and/or severely burn their opponents even to the point of death they can range, from minor to fatal voltage.
~ Create electric bursts and/or shock-blasts.

- Environmental Adaptation: The power to survive and adapt to any environment.

- Thermal Manipulation to affect the temperature.

~ Cold Air Manipulation
~ Hot Air Manipulation

- Thunder Manipulation

- Water Manipulation and all of its forms:

~ Cause Droughts
~ Precipitation Manipulation
~ Rain Manipulation
~ Snow Manipulation
~ Blizzard Creation
~ Sub-Zero Rain
~ Vapor Manipulation
~ Cloud Manipulation
~ Cloud Generation

- Weather Generation

- Weather Sensing

Electrokinesis: Can create, shape and manipulate electricity.

- Create/generate/increase, absorb, conduct, shape and manipulate electricity of various intensities.

- Death Inducement by overcharging the victim with electrical currents.

- Electric Pull to pull themselves toward something or to pull things toward them.

- Electrical Wall Crawling: Can crawl, walk, run up walls using static electricity.

- Paralysis Inducement and/or Jolt Inducement.

- Electricity Attacks: Works like the air attacks. May be able to generate enough power to vaporize matter.

- Electricity Solidification: Works like air solidification

- Electrical Constructs, including weapons, walls, armor or allies/servants.

- Electrical Force Field: Can create force fields of highly concentrated electrical energy or force-fields composed of electromagnetic energy for protection, travel, and/or offensive use.

Ajax has been given many gifts by his father. His sword also called The Lightning Sword was gifted to him by his father Jupiter. The Lightning Sword is the divine weapon of Ajax, he uses it to channel His lightning powers. The sword's compacted form is a small cylinder/baton which only at the touch of Ajax will glow and transform into its true sword form. It will revert into its dormant form unless he decides for it to stay in full form.

Ajax was also gifted by Zeus with the Pegasus, a beast no man has ever rode before. He was giving to him after Ajax and his half-god cousins killed the tyrant that once ruled what is now known as the Kingdom of Tripartite. He and his Pegasus have formed a strong bond and Ajax is the only person Pegasus will let mount him. Ajax's winged stallion acts as his noble steed in battle. The stallion is far from tamed and has proven to be unbreakable but it is also loyal and bravely fearless.

So begins...

Robyn , as soon as she were on board, she was bombarded with news and information on the ship but neither of which was what she wanted to hear, which meant there was no change in Casey's conditioned. She kept it from her face though as she give orders, Da'Karro was speaking with the large man, Ajax is memory served as well and Jon and Lord Umber, soand so she left him to it. "Captain, all the gunpowder's been replaced, the hull's been cleaned, so much so that we can move about two, three naughts faster." Rathman was saying and Robyn nodded. "Good to know, We'll be taking on more men soon, what about the other ship?" She asked him " We're still clearing it but it seems not to have taken much damaged-"

Sudden a blood curdling hollar came from the storeroom Casey was being treated in.

Suffice it to say, Robyn was no longer with Rathman.

Image Tenanye has been checking over Casey when suddenly, his heart stopped. Her eyes went wide and she urged her Fae to assist. She pumped his heart through his chest, breathed into his chest and repeated over and over until finally his heart pumped on his own. Tenanye was breathing heavily. while Walker watched in horror. He really didn't know what was happening, his experience was limited to amputation and patching up minor wounds and removing bullets, this was something else entirely. He looked at Tenanye who, in his eyes just brought a man back from the dead, with awe. " You are a Goddess," He said, " No, I am Fae." She said not really getting the compliment.
"Walker, He needs a blood transfusion." She told him.
" A what?"
" I can't clean the blood, the infection went to his heart, it's infected the source, so I have to remove all the tainted blood and start a new." She said and Walker looked at her.
"Where do we get fresh blood?" He asked,
"I'll have to use mine."
"Fae blood?" one of her Fae spoke, a male, Obsidian. "Yes, I told her I would save him, and so I will,"
"But Milady."
"We don't have time for this, prep him." She ordered and The Fae man nodded and grabbed Casey's arm. Tenanye, wrapped a thread around her arm, as the Fae did with Casey, Tenanye used her other hand, and created three long cylinders. " Mr. Walker, I need a bucket, a large one." She said and he nodded and found one rather quickly, thankfully they were in the storeroom, where cleaning supplies were abundant. She told him where to set it and so the procedure began.

Tenanye slice a nice size slash across her arm, and fed the tube inside, Obsidian did the same with Casey, though he added a second tube to his other arm, and fed the one with Tenanye's blood into his arm. Tenanye closed her eyes and focused. Her blood began to filling the tubing and drifted into Casey's arm, while his blood poured out in the buckets. to which the Fae had to replaced multiple times. It was all a waiting game now, and Tenanye began to meditate.

Suddenly, the tube was ripped from her arm, and a loud holler bellowed out from behind her.
"What the hell?!" Robyn asked from the doorway, " Walker, Keep her back!" Tenanye ordered, Walker didn't know what to do.
"What?"
"Do It!
Image"Touch me, You will never use that hand again." Robyn warned but stood outside with Walker, thankfully, her eyes hadn't adjusted to the changing of light, so she couldn't quite see William Casey, was standing, his eyes all black, like Tenanye's were in Fae form. "I can't see!" He barked, stumbling back against the wall Tenanye turned to him. "Enhance your calm, You are safe." She said, her voice was calm and soft as she held the cut in her arm. "Who are you!? Where am I?! Why can't I see!?" He asked in a panic. " I am Queen Tenanye, you are aboard the Harbinger, and your sight has not yet returned." She said. "Te...nan..ye?" He said softly, calmed down some, Tenanye approached him with care, she took his hand and he suddenly wrapped his large frame around her. Like a child would his mother. "What happened to me?" He asked, "You died, but you're here now." She said and held his head against her chest. "Are you a God?" He asked. Tenanye merely smiled down at him. " No, Your Godmother, perhaps, but no I am not a God." She said softly. "There are people waiting for you," She said with a smile, and he looked up at her, his eyes shifting back to the bright blue they once were. " Robyn," He said and She smiled. " Yes, Robyn, she waits for you."
Robyn stood outside the door, her eyebrow arched, her jaw set as if she were mere moments from punching someone in the face. Walker stood on the opposite end of the doorway, just in case the mood should arise. It was annoying and felt like an eternity when Tenanye walked out with.." Will..." Robyn breathed but will seemed not to noticed her, he saw Walker first looked at him, and they exchanged odd looks ImageThen Casey received a tap on the shoulder from Tenanye, the large men looked over at her and then found Robyn looking at him. She couldn't moved, she couldn't believe he was standing. It was as if the entire ship fell silent. "Robyn...?" He broke the silence walking up to her. " That's Captain to you." She said but her voice wasn't as strong as when it usually was. The two looked at each other and Robyn noticed the crowd of onlookers.

"Welcome back to the land of the living, Mr. Casey." She said, snapping her emotions the back of her mind. Casey just smirked. " Good to be back, Captain." He said with a nod and the rest of the crew cheered and surrounded him, patting him on the back while Robyn stood behind them with a small barely visible smile on her face.

The scream from below deck was audible to anyone on the ship, and Da'Karro was one of the few who did not rush to find its source. He already knew where it was coming from. Casey was dying.
He tried his hardest to maintain order even as the Captain rushed off below to see to her friend. Caseys life was in Ishkas and Tenanyes hands, the whole crew rushing to see the commotion would do the man no good.
"Back to your posts!" He bellowed across the boat, "The first man I see abandoning his post I will learn what it is to live without a cock!"
Reluctantly the crewmen on deck returned to their duties but Da'Karro knew anyone below decks would ignore his order. The Captain was gone and Da'Karro hoped that she wouldn't have to watch Casey die, he wasn't sure what would happen. The assorted nobles seemed to be just milling about by the railing, unsure of how to react to the unfolding events. "Damnit," Da'Karro thought rubbing the bridge of his nose, "When the fuck did my job go from killing people to dealing with dignitaries?"
"Jon!" he called out to the group, "If you and your friends are so insistent on being useless can you please go and be useless in the Captains cabin where I don't have to deal with you. I have enough problems trying to run this ship single fucking handedly."

"Back to your posts!"

He bellowed across the boat,

"The first man I see abandoning his post I will learn what it is to live without a cock!"

The two North Men turned to the sound of Da'Karro's barking. He bellowed at the crew, slinging threats as easily as an archer looses arrows. Jon sighed as he watched him. Lord Umber seemed to take note as well and folded his thick, meaty arms across his broad chest as he watched the man with a chuckle.

"Well ain't he just a bit of sunshine?..."

The Great Jon mused. Jon grunted in displeasure.

"He commands through fear and intimation, that is no way to lead men."

Lord Umber shrugged indifferent.

"Fear has it's uses."

"In the short term but a good ruler rules through loyalty not abuse. That's what Wanhope does and look what he's sown from his fields of brutality. A whole country that wants him dead and more enemies than he can count."

"Who is he anyway?"

Jon sighed again, this time his concern for his cousin coming to the forefront of his mind after the comparison between Da'Karro and Wanhope.

"His name is Da'Karro Misantri. He's the captains first mate and... well he's courting Clara."

Lord Umber turned around in surprise but the smile was already spreading.

"Clara? Shes alive? She's here."

It was only then that Jon realized he'd never told Lord Umber that his cousin had survived Winterfell. The Great Jon had always been kind to Clara, looking after her when he could like a grizzly old uncle. It was Lord Umber whom Jon was going to take Clara to in order to hide her from her betrothal. She would have been safe in Last Hearth with the fierce men of House Umber protecting her. Jon smiled, pleased to share some good news for once.

"Aye, she's here."

"How did she make it out of Winterfell?"

"The captain saved her."

The Great Jon turned to look where Captain Robyn Sheva had exited down to the lower decks. He took a moment in thought before uttering another word.

"A friend you say?.... I may have been wrong about h-"

Before he could finish he was cut off by the snarling first mate of the Harbinger.

"Jon!"

he called out to the group,

"If you and your friends are so insistent on being useless can you please go and be useless in the Captains cabin where I don't have to deal with you. I have enough problems trying to run this ship single fucking handedly."

The Great Jon turned back to look at Da'Karro incredulously, even Jon shot Da'Karro a baleful stare.

"That boy touched? He does know you're not a member of the crew to be ordered about."

Jon sighed for a third time, Da'Karro was quickly becoming taxing to his resolve.

"He knows, he just doesn't care."

That's when the giggling came bubbling up from the lower decks. Jon, Lord Umber and Ajax all turned to hear girlish laughing come from the stairs as Clara and Amelia stumbled out onto the deck full of gleeful laughter.

"What's this now?..."

Jon said with almost a groan. Clara headed straight for Da'Karro whom she threw herself at and pinched his cheeks.

"Why are you always so grumpy, Handsome?"

She asked with a playful frown. She laughed hard and dropped her hands.

"Sorry, I think I'm a little drunk. Queen Amelia is the best ever!"

Jon approached from behind, hoping to rescue Da'Karro from his inebriated cousin with a soft word and a gentle hand.

"Clara.."

She wheeled on him and smacked him in the shoulder.

"Oh! Sorry Pup!"

She said and damn near knocked him over as she hugged him around the waist.

"I know a secret~!"

She sang.

"But I can't say it now. Not here, with all the pirates"

Jon gave her an appeasing smile as he untangled her arms from around his waist and helped her stand on her own, wobbly as she was.

"Clara, you're drunk. Why don't you come with me and I'll take you to your roo-"

Jon stopped short as he heard someone behind him stumble. He whipped around just in time to catch Amelia as she fell. Cradling her in his arms he could no longer take Clara as well. His eyes flicked to Da'Karro and Jon grimaced.

"Da'Karro, if you're not too busy barking at the captains men and ordering about the captains guests could you get my cousin to bed before she hurts herself?"

Jon asked with a harsh tone as he hefted the feather light Amelia into his arms.

"Lord Umber, you know anything about ships?"

The big man grinned.

"Do I? One of my bastards was fathered with a fishermans daughter. Spent half a season on a vessel not much smaller than this."

"Good, see what you can do about helping the men till Da'Karro comes back."

"Aye, your Grace."

Lord Umber said before he turned and marched over to the men.

"Alright you lot, let's see if we can get this ship ready and sailing, before Sunshine comes up with anything more creative than missing members."

With the ship looked after and his cousin in the arms of her lover Jon took Amelia down stairs. Jon passed by a growing crowd around the sick man, now on his feet. Jon was pleased to see Queen Tenanye was able to save him. Jon descended into the belly of the ship where the crew and guest quarters were. Jon had taken note of where Amelia's room was before he'd left for White Harbor, it was there that he'd told her about his decision to go in the first place. As he carried her Amelia continued to mumble and laugh much as she had on the deck. What few questions or comments she'd posed to him he'd answered as simply as he could to avoid any further questioning.

"Alright, here we are."

Jon said as he pushed open the door to her room with his back. Once he had Amelia began to wriggle in his arms a bit making it difficult to hold her.

"Amelia, Am-Amelia stop moving. I can't, gods..., I can't hold you if you don't stay still-"

Her dangling leg tripped up Jon's own and he tumbled forward. Fortunately they were near the bed and their landing was soft.

"Clara, you're drunk. Why don't you come with me and I'll take you to your roo-"
Scarlet snorted behind her hand as Amelia knocked into him. Her cheeks were red, and her vision was all but gone and she couldn't stop herself from laughing.
"Da'Karro, if you're not too busy barking at the captains men and ordering about the captains guests could you get my cousin to bed before she hurts herself?" Jon told him, harshly and Scarlet's huffed. " Don't be so mean." She said with pout, but Jon just simply lifted Amelia into his arms.

"Lord Umber, you know anything about ships?" Jon said and Scarlet looked over at the large man as he and Jon spoke, blinked a few times and a large grin smeared across her face, sobering her up some. " UMBER BEAR!" She squealed with delight, her excited shriek was literally loud enough to give everyone a mild headache, thankfully, Amelia and Jon had already shuffled off down to the lower deck. Scarlet then pulled herself from Da'Karro and wrapped her arms around the large man. "You were supposed to look after me, remember?" She asked, though she knew he probably did, but at this point, she was so drunk, logic was all but gone.
"Someone's loaded off the gunwalls..." The Captain said, causing Scarlet to frowned. " I don't know that means." she said with huff.
"It means your drunk, Miss Scarlet," Another voice brought her back to her sense. She turned to see the towering Mr. Casey standing beside the Captain. "CASEY!" She squealed causing them all to wince. She grinned even wider now, sobering up at the two shocking sights before her. She hugged Casey who in turned hugged her back. " Hey there" He said ruffling her hair a bit. "You're alright now?"
" Never better." Casey grinned and Scarlet beamed. She knew there was a war, and a lot of people had died, members of her own family but she still couldn't help her happiness that all of the people who cared for her, were in the same place. It made her head spin, "Whoa... dizzy." She said and teetered against Da'Karro, holding on for balance.

"You've alot to catch up on, Mr. Casey, Da'Karro, do you mind, briefing him on the days events, while I discuss some things with the royals? After you deal with this one," The Captain asked but it really wasn't a question, more of an order disguised as a question.
Casey smiled over at Scarlet as she held on to Da'Karro but frowned some when the Captain's words struck him. "Royals?"
"It's been a long day." was the Captain's reply.

Scarlets sudden appearance at Da'Karros waist was an unexpected but pleasant surprise, the realisation she was absolutely floored was not, "Why are you always so grumpy, Handsome?" she asked playfully, "Sorry, I think I'm a little drunk. Queen Amelia is the best ever!"
Jon appeared at Da'Karros shoulder, clearly eager to get his inebriated cousin somewhere where she couldn't hurt herself, "Clara.."
Suddenly Jon bore the brunt of her drunkenness and as she wheeled around she nearly backhanded him across the face, "Oh! Sorry Pup!" She cried, falling into his arms, "I know a secret~!" she sang merrily, before her voice dropped to a loud, utterly conspicuous whisper, "But I can't say it now. Not here, with all the pirates"
"Clara, you're drunk. Why don't you come with me and I'll take you to your roo-" Jon attempted before the white haired woman, in a very unqueenly manner, proceeded to teeter and fall. Jon managed to catch her barely but she was all but limp in his arms. He seemed to weigh up his options before reluctantly turning to Da'Karro, "Da'Karro, if you're not too busy barking at the captains men and ordering about the captains guests could you get my cousin to bed before she hurts herself?"
Da'Karro scowled but held up the still giggling Scarlet none the less, "They're mine to bark at Stark, and while you're on the Captains ship, youll follow the orders I give you."
Jon ignored him and turned to the bear of a man behind him, "Lord Umber, you know anything about ships?"
The bear smiled and agreed, saying something with such a thick northern accent Da'Karro could barely make out the words. Something about bastards and fish.
Scarlet however clearly recognised the bear, and rushed over to him, "UMBER BEAR!" She squealed loudly, detaching herself form Da'Karro and stumblingly careened into the big mans arms. "You were supposed to look after me, remember?" She slurred, her voice muffled by the mans thick furs.
A voice from behind Da'Karro broke the reverie, "Someone's loaded off the gunwalls..." Robyn said, appearing from out of the blue. "I don't know that means." Scarlet said with a huff, still clinging to the bear.
"It means your drunk, Miss Scarlet," Said another voice that Da'Karro had most certainly not been expecting,
"CASEY!" She squealed again flying off the bear and into Casey now, who teetered himself from the force of her embrace.
"Hey there," He said, scruffing her hair with a free hand, "You're alright now?"
"Never better." She said, and Casey smiled that big lovable puppy dog smile of his, Scarlet pulled back to look at him but the Alcohol was still rife in her system and she teetered, Da'Karro quickly holding her arm so she could balance, "Whoa... dizzy."
"You've alot to catch up on, Mr. Casey," Robyn said with a coldness Da'Karro knew was just for show, "Da'Karro, do you mind briefing him on the days events, while I discuss some things with the royals? After you deal with this one,"
"Royals?" Casey asked with confusion, apparently noticing the strangers for the first time.
"It's been a long day." Robyn replied dryly.
Da'Karro looked over the freshly healed casey, he was still pale but otherwise looked healthy, clearly whatever the Spider Queen had done had been effective, "Welcome back to the Land of the living Casey. Long story short, we are assisting these nobles with their campaign to liberate the north. We lost a lot of men in your absence and are in the process of acquiring more. We have a Jon Stark on board who is Scarlets cousin and the rightful king in the north. You have been healed by a Fae and we are currently balls deep in enemy territory, any questions? No? Good."
Da'Karro lifted Scarlet into his arms and made his way below decks.
"Ishka damnit, today has just been one damn thing after the other."

Scarlet let off a squeal as she was suddenly lifted off of the ground. She didn't realized was being lifted by Da'Karro until his harms want under her legs and carried her bridal style. She wrapped her arms around his neck and planted a kiss to his cheek. " Don't be grumpy," She said and lay her head in between his shoulder and neck. "I like it better when you smile, it makes me happy." She said and was asleep before he could make it to her little cabin in the kitchen.

"Welcome back to the Land of the living Casey. Long story short, we are assisting these nobles with their campaign to liberate the north. Casey stood there, mouth agape. Robyn just rolled her eyes. " Lord Umber, we need to discuss the terms, I suppose we wait until the drunken queen sobers up." She said and it was then Tenanye walked over, Casey noticed her before anyone else did. " Milady, You look ill?" He said, and Robyn looked at him oddly as he was incredibly concerned with her safety suddenly and not only that he called her Milady?
"I'm fine, Just a little weak, I used alot of magic today and it's just taken a bit of a toll." She said. "I just need rest." She told him and he looked as if he'd carry her himself but she stopped him. " Stay with your, Captain, Obsidian will help me." She told him and the male fae nodded and helped the Spider Queen onto one of the guest cabins. "Milady?" Robyn said and rolled her yes again. " We'll continue our talks later, for now everyone seems to need to rest."
"Not me." Casey added, trying to lighten the mood, but that did nothing but make her huff and she walked away toward her cabin.
Casey nodded to the large men to whom he hadn't met yet. "Excuse me..err make yourselves comfortable." He said quickly and followed after her.

"Captain?" He said after rapping on the door but she didn't answer. He dropped his head. She was not happy and he really didn't know why. Da'Karro might know

So he decided he'd ask him, he made his was down to the lower decks and peeked into the Kitchen to see Da'Karro coming out of the small cabin behind the wall.

"Hey." He said. "Thanks for um, handling things while I was out." He said with a nod. "Couldn't have been easy, especially with the Captain..." He said looking down as he leaned against the wall with his arms folded. He looked up at him with a slight frown " How was she?"

The battle was over, Moloch realized. They had overestimated the might of their enemies and if he did not retreat in an orderly fashion, they would be done for. He turned to Tywin.

"Order the archers and the ballistaes to provide covering fire while the men retreat. We cannot take the city now," Moloch stated. He watched as his men began to beat a different rhythm on their drums and their men began to back away. The Nemean lions were slowly dying out thanks to the combination of their siege weapons and the enchantment placed upon his men's spears and swords. Dragonbone enchanted with sharpening spells were more than enough to take care of the lions' natural armour. Nonetheless, he was losing men and their retreat depended on their artillery keeping back the men surging from the city and the Tripartite forces returning from chasing after Ser Gregor.

As time went by, Moloch watched more people die in his retreat than he'd like, but he gave his men credit. They did not break formation and they did not surrender. When they were safe, Moloch turned to Tywin.

"Send a raven to Wanhope. I want him to reinforce us at Drake City. The enemy will besiege us soon."

Casey nodded as Da'Karro gave him the brief of what had happened, "So she agreed to use magic to save me, and now she's giving me the cold shoulder-" He paused and Da'Karro gave up his search for food and looked up at the first mate, "Wait...You were down too? I saw, you were shot, right through the chest, did Lady Tenanye save you too?"
"Ah," Da'Karro said, remembering Casey had been unconscious since the events of the Lobos, "No... I... this will take a while to explain, lets go upstairs." He walked out of the Kitchen and Casey followed suit behind him.
"Yes I was shot, and stabbed, much in a similar way to you, but my wounds..." He touched the place on his abdomen, feeling the absence of a scar even more than if there had been one present, "Healed."
They walked out onto the deck and continued on to the Keel, "I dont know How to explain it, if I could, I would say Ishka saved me but truly I do not know. one minute I was dying, then... I wasnt." He looked at Casey and and smirked, "The Captain was less than amused with my miraculous recovery and your looming death, but that was no matter. Either way, I am healed, you are healed, we are all-"
"Leave me alone!" Cried a voice Da'Karro knew all too well " I don't belong to you! I don't belong to anyone!" Scarlet screamed waking the whole ship as she climbed the rigging towards the crows nest.
"Damnit!" Da'Karro said, leaping the railing from the keel to the main deck, nearly landing on the Captain as she exited her cabin.
"Not again." Robyn exclaimed before making for the rigging.
"Don't come any closer, I'll jump." Scarlet cried, reaching the edge of the crows nest and standing precariously on its edge.
"She's at it again but I think she is mildly aware of us, if we get close, she'll jump." Robyn said, frantically trying to think of a plan.
"Casey!" Da'Karro said, probably the first time he had ever given the first mate an order, "Go find Tenanye, she might be able to use her magic in some way." He tore off his gauntlet and embedded his sword in the deck, "Robyn, if she jumps ill break her fall, im the least likely to die from my injuries, you go see if you can get her down without her jumping, AND SOMEONE GO FIND JON!"

Jon walked through the godswood alone, the fresh snow crunched under his boots with each step. Winter had only just begun to arrive and the first of the snow falls coated the world in a thin white sheet of pristine beauty. The white trunks of the weirwood trees almost seemed to vanish in the snow if it were not for the faces carved into them. With the white back ground and the white trunks the faces almost appeared to float on their own, watching The King of The North as he moved through the wood. Each breath Jon took came out in puffs of vapor in the cold winter air. Jon was looking for something but what, he wasn't yet certain.

Finally he heard it, the sound of his guide through these dreams so often.
ImageThe caw of the three eyed raven drew his attention to a single tree standing before the entrance to a forest clearing. Jon followed the raven and walked past the tree into the where the godswood opened up. The clearing was large and circular in shape. In it's center slept a massive scaled beast. Jon moved toward and discovered it to be a dragon, larger than any he could imagine. It's scales were black and red, not so different from Drogon if the beast were not so huge. The dragon slept, curled with his tail encircling it's body. Jon stepped near it and could see there was something else behind the wall of dragon scales. An infant child, swaddled in cloth of grey and cloth of black and red. The child's hair was deep and dark as the night sky with eyes like shining emeralds. It cooed for a moment before falling asleep. It slept soundly within the protective circle of the slumbering dragon and at the child's feet slept yet another creature, a young dire wolf pup no more than a few months old.

"Shh... he's sleeping."

Jon whipped around with a start to find Amelia standing there. She smiled at him lovingly and kissed him before turning him back around to look at the baby. She slid her arms around him before pressing her head to his back. She looked at the child with a mothers love as Jon did so in awe.

The rays of the morning sun touched Jon's face causing his eyes to slowly blink open. He grunted softly as he shifted in bed, it was only then he realized he wasn't alone. Almost in surprise his eyes looked down to find Amelia curled up in his arms. His mind, still clouded with sleep, took a moment to adjust to the reality of last nights events. The drinking, carrying her to her room, the fall and her request.

"Stay here with me Jon."

Her voice echoed in his mind and brought a smile to his face. Content was not a sufficient word to describe his feeling. He layed there, with Amelia fast asleep on his chest and nothing else mattered. Not the war, not Wanhope, not whatever in seven hells was going on above deck that was causing so much noise. In the bowels of the ship Jon could barely hear what was going on but he could hear foot steps, running and muted shouting. It wasn't a battle, that much was sure. Battles were louder but something was happening none the less. After trying his best to ignore the commotion he resigned himself to find out what was going on. Reluctantly he untangled himself from Amelia's arms and rested her head back down on the pillows of the bed. He covered her with a blanket before he set to find his boots which he'd kicked off last night. Once he located them he sat on a chair next to the bed to slip them on. As he did she awoke.

Image

Jon smiled as her eyes met his. He wanted to kiss her. He'd never wanted anything more in his entire life but he settled with words.

"Good morning."

Was all he said before the banging started.

"Your Grace!"

The voice was that of The Great Jon's that much was certain. Lord Umber was pounding on the door urgently.

"Your Grace! Jon!"

The Great Jon burst through the door with his hand up shielding his eyes from whatever sight may lay on the other side. Jon and Amelia both sprang up in surprise, Jon protectively nearly shot out of the chair in a single leap as his hand reached for his sword belt.

"Apologies my king, I know you're not alone but you're needed at once."

"It's alright Lord Umber, we are decent. What is it?" Jon asked impatiently as he strapped Longclaw to his hip.

The Great Jon hesitantly lowered his hand from his face. The big man's eyes adjusted to the dimness of the room and focused on Amelia and Jon. For a moment he looked almost surprised they were indeed both fully clothed.

"It's Clara, shes climbed into the crows nest and is threatening to jump. I don't... I don't think she's well. It's as if she doesn't know where she is."

The worry in the big man's face was evident. Lord Umber had always cared for Clara like a child of his own or a little sister. Jon cast a quick look back at Amelia who still lay in bed. He looked at her in concern as if by chance she could make sense of all this. Why would Clara try to kill herself, what was happening to her? She had never attempted anything like this before, no matter how horrid things got at home.

"I'm going to get her down, I'll be back."

Jon stated boldly before turning and rushing out of the room. He was up the stairs and on the deck in what seemed like seconds. Around the mast that held the cat walk a small crowd had gathered looking up at the troubled Stark girl. Just as Lord Umber had said Clara had climbed into the crows nest and stood at the edge, primed to leap to the hard deck below. The fall would surely kill her and no one dared get too close to the ladder to climb up after her for fear she'd jump. Jon pushed his way through the crowd with the help of the massive Lord Umber and rushed to the captains side. Da'Karro was there as well, along with Mr. Casey, the captain wounded man on the mend.

"Captain! What is going on? What's wrong with her?"

He asked in worry as he reached Robyn.

Jon nodded saying not a word. All his focus was on his cousin, Clara who teetered precariously on the edge of the cat walk, ready to leap out into the open air at a moments notice. Jon reached the beam that led to where she stood and grabbed hold of the metal rungs. He hoisted himself up and began the climb. Each step replayed the captains words in his head.

"She sleep walks."

New behavior for Clara. He'd never known her to sleep walk before. He'd spent countless nights in New Castle just as she had spent countless nights in Winterfell and not once did he ever remember her wandering off in a daze.

"She's been doing so since she's boarded the ship, everytime, she's tried to hurt herself."

So this has happened before. How many times was a mystery but she'd never told him. To hear Clara tell it her time aboard the Harbinger was a grand vacation compared to growing up in White Harbor. Yet the truth was anything but. She had been giving into sleepless trances that pose her harm. Worse was that none of his new friends said not a word about it. Da'Karro was no surprise, the man hated Jon as far as he could tell. The Captain however stung a bit more. He had vouched for her with Lord Umber, he'd trusted her and she kept this from him. He knew he had no reason to be cross with her, she was no doubt trying to keep him from worrying but it didn't make him feel any less lied to.

"Right now it seems that she only sees this Count person, in all of us."

Count Reginald Blackwood, Clara's betrothed and the man who Jon nearly freed of all his teeth when he'd last seen him. The Count had come to Winterfell to speak with his father. Unfortunately for Count Blackwood Clara had visited days earlier and told Jon some troubling news. She'd told him how the count had been treating her, she told him of the threats and the promises of abuse to come. Jon's knuckles were bleeding by the end of it..

Jon grit his teeth and forced the thoughts of the Count and everything else out of his mind as he reached the crows nest. He took a breath and focused, he had to be perfect if he was going to save Clara. A single mistake could send her careening off the catwalk to the deck below. Jon pulled himself up, over the last rung and stepped onto the wooden crows nest. Jon was immediately aware of how high up he was. If Clara had been coherent she would have been terrified, Jon knew he was more than a bit uneasy at this height but his fear was silenced in favor of his concern for Clara.

"Clara?..."

Jon asked softly as he steadied himself on the towering height, with the wind whipping around them.

"Clara?... It's me, Jon. It's Pup."

He said, almost pleading as he extended a hand to her.

"Can you come here and talk to me Clara? Please Clara, I just want to talk."

Jon's world seemed to slow around him as terror seized his heart. He'd failed her. He'd pushed too hard, too fast and it drove her away. Clara was going to jump and she was going to die and it was all his fault. He'd failed his brothers because he wasn't strong enough to stand beside them. He'd failed his sister because he wasn't strong enough to protect her. He'd failed his mother and he failed his father and now he'd failed Clara. He was doomed to be the Last Stark and there was not a thing he could do to stop it. He could run to her, try and grab her but he would no doubt catch only the tail of her dress as she slipped through his fingers.

"REMEMBER!"

The raven's cawing echoed in Jon's mind and it stilled his beating heart, even if it was just for a moment. It was thumping so hard it threatened to beat out of his chest but he calmed himself as best he could as he did the only thing he thought might make a difference. The only thing he'd dared to try and save her, he sang.

"Merrily we sailed along
Though the waves were plenty strong
Down the twisting river Rhine
Following a song..."

His voice was picked up in the wind, timid and afraid it was but there was a strength there. A strength he didn't have in Winterfell.

"Legend's faded storyline
Tried to warn us all
Oh, they called her "Loreley"
Careful or you'll fall..."

Jon took a careful step toward her, she had not jumped yet and his voice was growing stronger. He was not a singer by any means but the song had it's own power. A power that neither the Queen of the Fae nor the Godking Wanhope could ever fathom.

"Oh, the stories we were told
Quite a vision to behold
Mysteries of the seas in her eyes of gold...
Laying on the silver stone, such a lonely sight
Barnacles become a throne, my poor Loreley... "

Clara had taught him this song. No one knew she had but Jon and Clara. They had been alone that day when she dragged him to the beach. Jon was not someone who enjoyed attention so no one knew he had learned the tune, nor had he ever dared sing it aloud. Jon moved closer now as her eyes fell on him. Was that recollection in her face?

"Clara?..."

Jon asked tentatively, pausing finally from his singing. His emotion was thick in his throat as fear gripped him but he would not fail her. Not Clara, he would never fail his family again.

"Come now Clara Underfoot, don't make me sing alone."

Jon surged forward. Her knees gave way and her eyes closed as her body went limp. She was on the edge of the crows nest and about to fall from the sky like a crow without wings yet she had a guardian up there with her, a wolf to watch her. He seized her with arms strengthened by brotherly love. Jon pulled her close, away from the edge. He held her for a moment, he held her close, cradling her head to his chest as he finally allowed himself to breath again. He gasped in tense breaths but he exalted in the realization that she was safe in his arms. He was so frightened she would perish but so overjoyed now that she was safe from harm.

"I've got you. I've got you Clara... I've got you."

After a moment or so he hefted Clara onto his shoulder and made for the ladder. She barely weighed anything at all so the climb shouldn't have been difficult. Only able to use one arm on the ladder made it anything but. Never the less Jon slowly made his way down to the deck of the ship with the sleeping Clara over his shoulder.

"Jon!"

Lord Umber called as Jon's boots touched the deck. The big man raced to his side and helped him set Clara down. He knelt at her side, checking her for wounds as Jon allowed himself to go to a knee as well in order to catch his breath. The climb down was taxing with one arm.

"Is she hurt?"

Jon asked after a few savory breaths.

"No, gods be good, no."

Lord Umber said gratefully as he turned to Jon.

"How did you do it lad"

The Great Jon asked almost in awe, too shocked to observe the due title of his king. Jon took a moment, unsure how to respond before he shrugged tiredly.

"We're family."

Jon hovered over her as Clara blinked her eyes awake. He breathed a sigh of relief to see her awake and back to her old self.

"Oh no...I did it again, didn't I?"

She said sadly.

"Yes,"

Robyn said shortly.

"You are never allowed rum, or any form of alcohol ever again, do you hear me? If I even see you with an old grape, I'll have you clearing barnacles off of hull of this ship for a week. Understood."

Robyn ordered. Jon nodded in agreement, if alcohol brought on the frequency of these episodes the less she was around the stuff the better.

"What did I do this time?"

Clara asked softly.

"Ya nearly jumped from the crow's nest, Miss Scarlet, but your brother got you down."

The captain's man said as he took a knee beside Clara. As he did he gave Jon a friendly nod which Jon returned with one of his own.

"He's my cousin, Mr.Casey ."

Clara corrected.

"I know a brother when I see one."

Mr. Casey replied with a grin and a wink. Jon was taken aback at the response and looked at Clara with new eyes. Casey was right. All his life he was as a brother to her as she was a sister to him. They had siblings of their own but now, when all the other wolves were gone they had only each other and she was his sister. Not to replace the one he'd lost but to take a place that was always hers to begin with. Jon smiled, with heartfelt pride and put his hand on Clara's shoulder lovingly.

As the captain shooed everyone off to see to their respective duties Clara told Jon of how she'd dreamt of him. Of how she'd seen hundreds of Count Blackwoods and how one had even claimed to be him. He knew the truth of what she'd seen. The Count had never been here. The truth was that she had been hallucinating and mistook her friends and family as the cruel Count Reginald Blackwood. Jon could see the shame in her face as she apologized to him. She was ashamed and embarrassed but Jon would see that changed. He moved beside her and took a seat on the deck next to her. Bumping her playfully as he did as only a big brother could.

"Don't apologize Clara, you got no reason to. It wasn't your fault so you have nothing to be ashamed of."

Jon sighed tiredly and rested his forearms on his knees as he cracked her a wry smile.

"Though perhaps next time you can choose a later hour to do something dramatic. I just woke up you know."

Kingdom of Valyrian

Word had spread through the entire kingdom that their queen the Mother of Dragons had gone off to war. The people of Valyrian were not stupid and knew that if their queen was at war they were all at war. The Lords of the Kingdom had come together and discuss what they were to do in their queen's absence. They had men ready at a moment's notice to aid the Silver Queen if it came to that but with all the allies that fought by her side they doubted she would call for them. So that left only the kingdom to care for. The Kingdom of Valyrain did not have the same luxury as the Kingdom of Tripartite. They bordered their enemies and in the queen's absence they knew that they could become a target of war. For that reason the kingdom as a whole was on a high alert. The armies and ships were prepared. The guards throughout the cities were doubled and others even tripled. Some cities even went the extra mile of hiring sell-swords to assist their armies. Only the best and most loyal were hired.

With the Targaryen forces off fighting at war each city had sent a portion of men to protect the city. The chances that any army could make it through all the cities it took to reach Valyria was unlikely but the precaution needed to be taken regardless. The Fuarians had tricked and connived their way through the city of Braavos but the city had not been defeated. The city of Qarth would know of their coming before they arrived and the Braavasi weren't ones who took defeat lightly. Forty thousand of the soldiers from Braavos gathered and rode off after the enemy that had slipped them past. When the Fuarians reached Qarth they would not only have the men of army of close to eighty thousand men to contend with but also that of the Braavasi. While the Braavasi maybe well known for the sea legs some of the best swordsmen came from the city of Braavos. Any city with their own uniquely famous fighting style was a force to be reckoned with. Plus on top of the that the warlocks of Qarth could rival any in the magical arts.

Aboard the Harbinger

She could feel Jon untangling himself from her arms as she fought to stay asleep. As he rested her head back down on the pillows of the bed he covered her with a blanket. With she still felt warm it was not the same warmth she had felt when Jon had been laying down with her. The ruckus being made from whatever was going on above them was slowly but surely making her head pound. She silently swore to herself that nothing aside from water, milk or wine would ever touch her lips again as she opened her eyes.

She didn't make a sound as her eyes fell upon Jon who was seated in a chair situated near bed putting on his shoes. As their eyes met he smiled at her and she instantly smiled back.

"Good morning."
"Morning."

Before anything else could be said between them a banging sounded.

"Your Grace!"

The voice was that of The Great Jon's that much was certain. Lord Umber was pounding on the door urgently.

"Your Grace! Jon!"

A voice unknown to Amelia called out to Jon. A great man bursted through the door with his hand up shielding his eyes from what he assumed might lay on the other side. Startled by the sudden eruption Amelia sprang up at the same time Jon did. Jon went for his sword as Amelia stood taking in the large man. Who is he? When did he get here? How does he know Jon? Were questions that raced through her mind as she stood confuse as to what was going on.

"Apologies my king, I know you're not alone but you're needed at once."

"It's alright Lord Umber, we are decent. What is it?" Jon asked impatiently as he strapped his sword to his hip.

Lord Jon hesitantly lowered his hand from his face. The big man's eyes adjusted to the dimness of the room and focused on Amelia and Jon. He seemed somewhat surprised by the sight that he found which made Amelia wonder what exactly he thought the two royals had been up to. Not that it took much thought as it was what anyone would expect from two people who spent a night alone together. Of course the night before Amelia was not in any position to do the expected.

"It's Clara, shes climbed into the crows nest and is threatening to jump. I don't... I don't think she's well. It's as if she doesn't know where she is."

The worry in the big man's face was evident. Jon casted a quick look back at that expressed his concern. Amelia shared the mutual feeling of worry and concern with the men in the room as she had taken a likening to the girl and was genuinely concerned about her well-being.

"I'm going to get her down, I'll be back."

Amelia said nothing but nodded as the two Jon's left her alone in her. She prayed that whatever Jon had in his mind to do that it worked. Bringing her knees into her chest she laid on head on her knees. This morning was not going particular well. Her head was still hurting and now that she knew what had caused the commotion going above her she was also worried. She decided not to go above deck just yet as she closed her eyes and took a moment in the silence to get herself right.

"You asked for trust, and you shall have it...Sister."

Scarlet smiled brightly

"It is all I ask, Brother." She said testing the term on her lips with a smile. It felt natural, often she wished she could call him that, call him her brother but felt foolish, he had a sister, and a kind hearted one at that amd by no means did she wish to take her place but deep down she knew he was always her brother and her own siblings felt like distant cousins.

It was then a low gruff voice came from the doorway.

"Clara Cub." Scarlet turned to see Lord Umber standing there and she smiled at the old nickname.

She only vaugely remember last night, and thankfully her head didn't hurt much, which was odd. She knew he was here but only vaugely.

The two conversed quickly before Jon said something that shocked her.

"Scarlet has missed her Umber Bear something fierce."

Scarlet looked at him with wide eyes.

"Scarlet?" Umber inquired as Jon walked out.

She giggled. "That would be me."She said and walked over giving him the biggest hug she could.

"I'm sorry to worry you." She told him, not really wanting to go into it all again. It was quite exhausting and the last thing she wanted to do was sleep.

The Captain may very well tie her to the bed next time.
******

Casey stood at the keel as Tenanye approached him. "How are you feeling?" She asked him. "Perfectly fine." He answered. "Save for, The Captain won't speak to me, I think in part because of you." He said bluntly. Tenanye nodded. "She hate magic because of me." She said. "You nearly killed her." Casey added. "I remember," She said and sighed. Robyn was young at the time, no older then Clara was now. She'd snuck aboard an Anansai trading vessel and killed a good precentage of the crew and took a coat made of Anansi Silk, unfortunately for her Tenanye was on board and cut her across the belly with her vemonous nails.

Obviously not enough to kill her but enough that Robyn was shivering in agonizing pain and suffering horrible night terrors for weeks.

"She doesn't want to be indebted to me, and you remind her of that." Tenanye mentioned. Casey sighed. "Well I didn't ask for this," He said. "Believe me, I'm grateful, I'd rather not be dead but why take it out on me."

"Perhaps she isn't."

Robyn then came out of her cabin and stood in the middle of the deck. "Mr. Casey."

"Aye."

"Gather the royals, would you? We've alot to discuss. We can't waste another minute."

He looked at Tenanye. "This isn't helping either," He added. Tenanye nodded. "When all is said and done, Talk to her. It is me she resents. Not you." She said and made her way down toward where Robyn was.

Casey sighed and got to collecting the other royals.

He went to the galley first, "Excuse me, Captain wants the royals on the top deck." He sad but was met with a solid hug around the waist. There was Scarlet hugging him tightly. "Oh, what's this then?"

"Thank You, for what you said, today." She said and let go making her way upstairs. Casey smirked and nodded to the large man Scarlet was with.

Casey then went and rapped lightly on the door where Jon had disappeared to. "Excuse the intrusion but Captain wishes to gather the royals." He said before making his way back to the top deck, rubbing the back of his neck.

It was then he noticed something crawling on him. He pulled back his hand to find a small black spider resting between his fingers. Typically, Casey would have crushed it but instead, he let it crawl on to the wall and continued on his way.

"White Harbor."

Jon replied matter of factly. He stepped forward as the lumbering bear that was The Great Jon Umber stood behind him.

"You'll have your choice of the finest men and woman to ever haul a line or pitch a sail there, problem is there are a lot of Khalidorian's in the city keeping us from getting you your crew. To get your men I'll need to first get my own."

With that Jon turned to look back at Lord Umber who for the first time spoke to the collected group of royals. As he stepped forward Amelia Targaryen arrived. She was dressed in a fine, perfectly tailored dress with high riding boots. The embroidery and tailoring gave the appearance of dragons scales that hugged her curves spectacularly. Around her neck hung pendant that resembled a dragons tooth and her hair was weaved and braided intricately. Jon let his gaze linger on her until she flashed him a smile. Smiling in return to their silent conversation he turned back to the other as Lord Umber spoke.

"His Grace has yet to take power but he has no less than sixty thousand men at arms ready to serve the true King of The North. More than enough to take the harbor. We should sweep through and crush the Khalidorians with ease, despite their garrison there."

Sixty thousand men. Jon hadn't ever heard the true number but to learn that there were sixty thousand men ready to fight and die for him was a dizzying realization. Jon looked at Lord Umber. His absurdness and readiness to follow Jon was inspiring. If the Giant of Last Hearth would follow him so would the others, he would do them proud, he must.

"First we need to reach the Isle of faces, not more than a two day ride inland. That is where the resistance is located. Wanhope hasn't been able to find us and even if he had he'd never be able to penetrate the weirwood grove."

Jon was shocked he had been so thick as to not think of it first. When the first men battled the White Walkers during the Long Night Bran The Builder, the fabled progenitor of the Stark line and first King of The North, had united with the enigmatic Children of The Forest. After they joined forces they needed a base from which to command and The North was still mostly unsettled, most of the great castles had yet to be raised. So Bran The Builder, along side The Children of the Forest built the mystical fort keep of Castle Black. A towering, monstrous structure of blackened wood and ice. The Children weaved spells in the ice and wood strengthening it from fire and melt. The forest grove of weirwoods on the isle of faces repelled all unfriendly eyes. If Wanhope even found the forest his army could march in but would march out again where they entered without ever realizing they had turned around. It is impenetrable to all enemies of The North. The perfect place for the resistance to take up residence.

"If we sail north for another day along our current route, round mid morning tomorrow we can make landfall and push west. We'll come upon the isle of faces in about two days time with horses, four on foot. Once we arrive I'll present the king returned. He'll have command of the Northern forces and we make for White Harbor and your reinforcements, Captain."

Lord Umber finished with a respectful nod to the Captain as he stepped back signaling he was done speaking. They had a heading, they had a route and they had a plan which was more than they had this morning. Jon was hopeful for the future and ready to get his feet back on solid ground.

"Ajax, his men, Queen Tenanye and Queen Amelia will be coming with me when I leave. That should free up your ship for some much needed space Captain Sheva."

Jon said.

"Would you or any of your men accompany us as well? It may serve well for you at least to come Captain. I know it would go a long way for a Northern sailor to have you be a part of the battle for White Harbor if they are to follow you later. If it was your sword that helped to free them from the shackles of Khalidorian rule would earn their loyalty once aboard without needed reinforcement from me, their king."

"There is no safe port in The North anymore."

The Great Jon grunted in displeasure. Jon flicked his gaze the grizzly Great Jon. Jon was only just returning to The North. Since Wanhope moved in Jon had only been here a matter of days before he was expelled from Winterfell and forced to seek refuge in the South Atlantic. Lord Jon Umber on the other hand had been forced to bear witness day by day as more of his country burned. As more of his country was ground beneath the boot heel of Khalidor and as more of his country men felt the rod and lash of Khalidorian slavers.

"Lord Umber..."

Jon began.

"You've been in The North since the Khalidorian occupation began. You would know what place is safe and what place is not. There must be someplace... somewhere in The North where we can hide a single ship and a small crew."

Jon was nearly pleading with his bannerman but it was no easy thing for Lord Umber to admit that his country was not his own. That someone else was in power here and to think over what few areas were safe was difficult for the northman. The Great Jon grumbled through his thick beard but relented.

"There is one place not more than an hours sail from where we need to be dropped off. It's not big but it's out of the way and not well known.... It was an old smugglers den."

Jon's curiosity was peaked at Lord Umber's reply.

"How did you hear of it then, my Lord?

Lord Umber smirked through his thick beard.

"Well... You remember that fisherman's daughter I told you about? The one that whelped one of my bastards?"

Jon nodded before the Great Jon flicked his old wily gaze to the Captain.

"Well she wasn't a fisherman's daughter. She was a pirate."

Jon couldn't help but smile and release a soft chuckle as he put a hand on the big man's shoulder.

"Well, point out your smugglers den to the captain on her map so she can set a heading."

"Aye, Your Grace."

Lord Umber replied dutifully.

The Giant of Last Hearth left with the Captain for her quarters leaving the deck full of royals and crewman behind her. As Lord Umber set to pointing out in detail the locations for her heading Jon stood on the bow of the ship with Ghost at his side. It had begun, truly begun. He'd felt this way when he'd first left The South Atlantic. Like he was finally getting underway with his quest to free The North. Yet now it felt more real than before. Now he had a definable plan, he had a route and he already had one bannerman calling him King. The prospect was still dizzying to Jon.

Brandon was to be king. That was how it always had been. His older brother was tall, handsome and strong as an ox with a battle commanders voice that boomed across a field. Jon remembered training along side him and feeling utterly outclassed. Brandon always took his victories in stride however and was quick to point out Jon's strengths, even when he was picking him out of the mud. Gods, he missed his brother. He no doubt would have already had Wanhopes head on a spike. What would he say now? What would he think about his little brother having the The Great Jon call him king.

The loss pained Jon and he let his brother's memory fade into the back of his mind, no longer wanting to sit in that grief. He took a breath a fresh cool sea air and turned to see Amelia Targaryen making her way back down stairs. He smiled softly to himself. Thinking of her words in the cabin. "Well I've never been one to accept defeat when there was something I wanted." Her voice lit a fire in him, no, she was his fire. That was when he remembered his invitation. Jon invited her to join him in his cabin. He still had to prepare for tonight. He had to prepare and he knew just who to talk to for help.

His eyes flicked to his cousin Clara who stood on the deck talking to Da'Karro. He could not help himself but to grimace at the sight of Da'Karro standing there. It seemed every time the two men interacted it was a battle and Jon was getting tired of it. He had no idea what Da'Karro's reasoning were for being so difficult and at this point Jon no longer cared. Dealing with the man was a chore and a sore one at that but as long as he held Clara's heart Jon would have to swallow his pride and be as civil as possible. Jon walked over to the pair as Ghost padded silently along side him.

"Clara,... Da'Karro."

Jon said in greeting. Despite what he would have liked he wasn't able to keep a hint of his distaste for the man out of his voice when he said his name. It was no matter in truth, Jon had no intention of asking for help in front of the man. Especially giving the personal nature of it. The less the man knew of Jon's affairs all the more comfortable Jon felt.

"I wanted to talk to you about something...alone."

Jon said to Clara casually before turning to Da'Karro. Again despite his intentions his demeanor shifted in an instant. The casual, relaxed demeanor grew cold as ice and hard as stone when Jon looked at the man.

"Da'Karro, do you mind mind giving us a minute?"

Podrick swallowed nervously as Da'Karro left. Something told him that one day he would make good on that threat whether Lady Clara was safe or not. Clara kindly told him to ignore Da'Karro but he had just as much luck ignoring a hungry lion in his bed chamber. Never the less Podrick had been given a duty and he would carry it out. He would protect Lady Clara in anyway he could.

Above deck where the wind howled and the rain poured Jon worked tirelessly shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the ship's crew while Lord Umber helped the Captain navigate the damaged Harbinger into Eel Cove. The cove was aptly named. A natural rock formation of sea battered stone had the appearance of a great serpent writhing up from the depths with a great maw large enough to swallow a ship whole. It was the mouth of the rocky beast that Captain Sheva, guided by The Giant of Last Hearth, led the boat now.

The minute they were out of the rain Jon took solace in the bliss of being spared the downpour. Many of the pirates and Jon paused from their work a minute now that they were out of immediate danger to look at where they were. A ocean cave where the light from the world outside reflected through the sandstone giving the cave an other worldly glow. Slowly the ship moved through the still waters of the dim cave with naught but that haunting green and blue light for guidance and The Great Jon's own memory. They had no notion of the dangers of the cave.

Captain Sheva navigated the vessel around rocks that littered the water way and as Jon looked down along side the pirates they couldn't deny a glimmering quality to them. It took a few moments of staring to realize there was cashes of gold, silver and precious jewels on them. A stunned gasp went out when some of the men noticed the wealth abound. The further they went in the more wealth they found. Gold and jewels from a time long passed littered the cave floor as they neared a docking point. One of the sailors leaned over the rail, his eyes hungrily staring at the gold. That was when a face appeared out of the water.

Image

The men who saw her gasped in shock and awe but the sailor who was leaning over the rail seesmed so captivated by her he could see nothing else. Her haunting blue eyes and innocently pure face held his gaze. Jon moved closer to the sailor sensing something wrong as Ghost snarled beside him.

"Are you my Jolly Sailor Bold?"

She asked the sailor beside Jon. The pirate smiled dumbly and nodded with a blissful grin.

"Aye, That I be."

He said as if he had no choice. She came out of the water a little further and Jon could see the hint's of scales near her wrists, elbows and along her spine. The hair on Ghosts back stood on end as he growled dangerously at the mysterious woman. Jon didn't like this one bit and reached out a hand to put on the pirates shoulder.

"Sailor, I don't think-"

Her eyes flicked to Jon and her pupils narrowed sharply. Her expression lost the gentle, timid and inviting nature she had with the sailor and instead her stare held all the danger of an unpredictable animal staring at you from the darkness. Jon's voice was frozen in his throat and he said not a word. Turning back to the sailor she began to sing. Her song was enchanting, magical by all rights. The men were drawn to her, especially the poor soul who she had spoken too. The man leaned over, as she reached for a kiss.

That was when a massive hand grabbed the sailors collar and yanked him back, sending him sprawling on the deck of the ship on his ass. The Great Jon Umber towered over the sailors and looked down at the mysterious woman with a growl through his beard.

"Mermaids..."

He grumbled. The mermaid sank back down so only her head was showing out of the water, though her fish like tail did splash the water behind her in disappointment.

"A giant stalks my cove."

She said with a pout, as if she knew Lord Umber.

"Aye and a giant cares not for gold. We seek safe harbor. Call your sisters off. Your treasure is safe from us."

Jon flicked his gaze from the mermaid to Lord Umber. The mermaid seemed to relent and sank back into the murky depths, though before she did she cast Jon one last baleful glance before vanishing forever. Lord Umber sighed tiredly once she was gone and he turned back to his king.

"Mermaids?"

Jon asked. Lord Umber nodded knowingly.

"Aye, Your Grace. Now you know why no one comes here and why we're safe here. Those mermaids guard this place from those looking to steal their treasure. Many a men have been lured to their deaths by their song. Fortunately they know an Umber when the see one. Legend has it my great, great, great grandfather took a mermaid to wife. He was the only one to ever prove stronger than their song, conquering her before she conquered him. Ever since this cove has been a safe haven for my family, and yours now my king."

Jon shook his head in shock.

"Well you have my thanks, Lord Umber."

The Great Jon chuckled and patted Jon's shoulder.

"Take Wanhope's head, that'll be thanks enough."

With that he lumbered off to help dock tie the ship down as they docked on a large rocky outcropping within the cave.

"Yes Milday- err Captain."

Podrick said as he jumped up to do as the captain ordered. He was half way out of the hidden room when he stopped and sheepishly looked back at Clara.

"Lady Clara."

He said in farewell with a rushed bow before running off to find his king. Jon was on the deck, helping the men tie down the ships mooring line to a pillar. As Podrick ran over Jon gave him a double look as if he'd forgotten all about him.

"There you are. Where were you?"

He asked as he put his boot on the knot he and the men were working on before leaning back to put his back into the difficult job of securing the knot.

"Tending to the Lady Clara, Your Grace."

Jon paused and gave the boy an inquisitive look. Podrick just lowered his gaze in embarrassment.

"Just to ensure her safety during the storm, Your Grace."

Jon chuckled and shook his head as he turned back to his work and finished with the knot. One of the pirates gave him a grateful pat on the shoulder, signalling they could take it from here. Jon turned back to Podrick and patted him on the back.

"Good man. Best we get ready for the road, we've got a long march ahead."

"I'll prepare the packs, Your Grace."

With a quick bow Podrick was gone. Jon watched him leave with a half smile. He was starting to like the lad and the fact that he was enamored with his cousin was amusing. He would be a half sight better suitor than Da'Karro for sure. Turning his mind from his cousin's love life Jon turned to his bannermen who had just lowered the gangplank to shore. Lord Umber and Jon Stark walked down the gangplank together as Jon looked about the cave.

"How far to Castle Black again Lord Umber?"

Jon asked.

"Two days by horse, four by foot."

They had made good time, shaving a day off their trip and reaching the tree line of the isle of faces in three days time. Jon Stark, Amelia Targaryen, Tenanye Ananse, Ajax Alexander, his men, Clara Stark, Captain Robyn Sheva, Will Casey and Da'Karro Misantri began their trek through the dense forest of weirwood trees. The ancient white trunked sentinels of The North with their crimson leaves, blood red sap and carved faces in them. It truly gave the forest an eerie feel to it. In the early morning chill, with a mist moving in the party truly felt as if they were walking into another world. Yet to see Jon Stark at the head of the column, with Ghost at his side he never looked more at home.

Jon breathed deep the cool air of his home land. He reveled in the shade provided by the towering weirwood trees and looked upon each faced carved within them as if he was seeing an old friend. It reminded him so much of the godswood in Winterfell. Where he spent so much time as a boy. The magic of The Isle of The Faces was as old as the land itself. Should the party had sought harm to The North they would have found themselves inexplicably lost and end up walking right back out of the forest from whence they came. Yet with the rightful King of The North at their head they forged deep into the woods without trouble.

The air was still and silent as they hiked. They heard not a sound, and saw not a trace of the wild life that lived here. The only beings to be seen in the weirwood forest were the trees themselves that watched you as you walked by. Ghost seemed to keep ranging off ahead of Jon, every once in a while he would vanish in the mist only to reappear moments later, as if he was waiting for Jon to catch up. Jon was pleased Ghost was so at ease here, he should be. Dire wolves, like the Starks, were of The North. This is where he belonged, not cooped up on some ship or in a castle leagues away. Jon paused and looked back at Clara who was walking along side Da'Karro.

"Clara, come walk with me."

He called with a warm smile, wishing to walk with his cousin a while.
