Fahad watched still as the girl began making designs in the wet grass; a star, no, a shooting star and a moon. It seemed as if she suddenly realized what she was doing and looked up at him embarassed. "I've always been fascinated with the stars. And I can only sleep after I've watched the moon for a moment before bed."She said "It seems to calm me down - and I have such a temper sometimes, I find that a good thing." Fahad didn't believe that this quiet girl, so in tune with nature could have a temper. He looked up at the stars as well, "You seem too calm to have a temper," He said simply, observing what he knew about her so far. For some reason, he felt at ease around her, Some thing he never felt around the people who talked too much or moved too much, a girl like that seemed to have a calm disposition as he was.

Amaris was a bit surprised she was enjoying herself. It almost made her forget her mission. However, she remained firm in making sure she would do that. However, that didn't prevent her from having a good time at least.

"Hmm, what would be interesting. In all honesty, I can't think of anything at the moment." she replied.

It was true, she couldn't think of anything and that was rare. She glanced about the room and found a few of her sisters. She really needed to get back into the game soon.

((Stupid writers block and headache.))

Leena was a bit surprised when he asked her to dance and she simply allowed it. She tried to keep herself relaxed, but being in close proximity like this was a bit uncomfortable. She wondered how much longer it would be until midnight. A part of her wanted the night to end, but another part hoped it would continue like this.

Alexander watched Leena and smiled slightly. He wondered when it would be midnight, though a bit he was. He was so fond to this girl, she was so nice and kind. He didn't want the evening to end, yet.

"You may use my combat dagger, Lejla, if you were not able to keep any of your own." Lavilev said to her. She nodded courteously, but inside she scoffed. Oh, my dear, dear Lavilev, she thought. If you only knew how many knives I have on me right now. What better a disguise than a monster dress to hide all of that? She personally thought it was dangerous to discuss their plans in the open, even if Lavilev asked for a "special blessing". Whatever. She looked around cautiously as sweat ran down her spine. Gods, it was like a bonfire in this awful contraption.
"So now what?"
Israel answered. "I personally think we should go somewhere else so unwanted ears are not caught." Lejla watched Israel look about. ""Hmm, how about somewhere where it is less crowded and we can still watch over the people, to make sure they don't get hurt?"
"I agree with Israel. Blessing or no, I still don't think it is wise to discuss such delicate matters here. Do you really think our enemies aren't aware of us?" Lejla asked. "I'm sure they're listening to us right now. And although it would be....ideal to protect the people, that's not really why we're here." she said. "But I'm always game for a vantage point."

The sound suprised her and her head shot to the man, her blue eyes wide. Had she done something foolish to cause him to do that? Heat rose on her cheeks and the bridge of her nose, but as quick as it came, it went. She knew nothing of him, why should she ever feel insecure around others when she has done nothing?

The thoughts vanished within a few seconds of mental arguement as he spoke once again. The weather was cold for him, therefore he could not belong to neither of the other two colder Kingdoms. Then again, despite her birthplace and the fact that she had lived all her life in the weather of Noondrim, she did always enjoy the rare cold breezes that swept the town on rainy days.

Papillion had no time to add a little bit of her thoughts before another question arose the air. "Papillion The girl said quietly. So far into the night, she had not shared it with any other person, for her, it was something that held much power if used correctly on a person. Raising her voice, just enough to be audiable, she repeated, "Papillion... Blookryn, of Noondrim."

When the girl's eyes shot to him, obviously probing for a reason to his amusement, he couldn't help but smile broadly. It gave him a slight sense of achievement to have received such a reaction from her, since she seemed like more of the guarded type. The thought passed through his mind that he probably looked ridiculous, grinning like a fool while she expressed her confusion. Yet he didn't regret it, the blush on her cheeks made it worth the embarrassment he promptly felt himself feeling. How out of character that embarrassment was! He hadn't felt this way since he was a little boy, his emotions easily manipulated like a puppet.

"Papillion.." He said slowly, letting the name roll across his tongue. It was an unusual name, but not in a bad way. It had a musical ring to it. "What a beautiful name, Papillion. And a Noondrim citizen too! How wonderful, It's an honor to make your acquaintance, my dear."

He let his cheery voice fall silent, realizing that he couldn't very well give out his name. Would she, a citizen of Noondrim, recognize him? He felt guilty that he could not as easily give out his name as she, it was quite possible she was thinking that he didn't trust her. But what of his middle name? Surely that at least had been kept to the family alone, there had to be some line of privacy. Yes, he would go with that. "Cayo." He finally said, his tone not giving any hint of his apprehension, "My name is Cayo Bessad, and as you have probably guessed I am also of Noondrim."

The Bessads were a small, unsocial couple that lived in the noble section of Noondrim. He knew them well- they used their social standing to weasel themselves into official meetings whenever they could, and they had tried to convince him to marry their niece more than once- and he hoped they had no objections to his using of their name. Well, even if they did there was nothing they could say now. He only hoped that Papillion did not know them, nor the fact that they had no relative named 'Cayo'.

Lavilev chuckled, "My Lord warned me of their presence, do you not think that theirs did not do the same for us? I have no doubt in my mind that they know we are here. However, if you want privacy and a vantage point, I would recommend one of the opera boxes." He pointed all along the room showing at least twenty rooms. "I would have already been up there, but I was waiting for you, and would have attracted attention if I were alone." then getting a bit serious, he added, "But remember. whatever you do, act like we are enjoying the party. do not act like we are taking up a vantage point. act like we found a good place to enjoy the party."

((Sorry to burst a few bubbles here but I think now is a good time to start moving things into place. All couples should start heading back inside now. hehe.))

It was very hard to keep track of time for Leena, especially when she was at ease.

"Um, sorry if I haven't spoken much. Normally I am pretty quiet." she said.

That was true, although she probably spoke more tonight though than she did in the past week. As they continued to dance though, a long gong was heard and a voice.

"The midnight hour is almost here ladies and gents! Please make way back into the ballroom for the unveiling!" someone announced.

Leena sighed. She felt sad for some reason and couldn't hide it from her face.

~~~~~~~~~~
Amaris wanted to growl at the announcement. Darn, it looked like they weren't going to have time to talk to the kings. Oh well, things could be worse. Suddenly she felt a very dark presence in her mind and knew it was her father.
~Amaris, it's almost time. Are you ready?~ he telepathically asked her.
~Yes sir. However we have a problem. There are 5 people here with magic abilities and one here has a special connection to the King of Mornia.~ she informed him.
~I'll take care of it.~
And with that he left her alone.
Amaris turned to the man and said, "It looks like this charade is about over. I have enjoyed myself sir. You have a wonderful night."
With that she left him to do what she has to do. The first thing she had to do was make herself 'blend' with the crowd more. For one thing, she became invisible and had the power to make anyone else invisible if need be, although she did have her limits. At the moment she was doing her best to make sure she and her sisters had an escape route. Most of them had the power of darkness, so that would come in handy. Still it would be best to be prepared for anything. Once she was done, she appeared back in the ballroom, near the shadows. She would be the one to give her sisters the signal.
~It's almost time. Get into your positions. Father is handling the interruptions.~ she telepathically told her sisters.
In the meantime, Dolman had been in disguise himself by melting into the shadows. He had already seen who needed to be dealt with and would take care of them. He could try to destroy them if he wanted to, but he knew the 4 strangers were a match for him and that 5th one, he sensed much untapped power. He would try to eliminate them all the same though. That last thing he needed was something to go wrong.
((Okay here's what is going to happen. When it's midnight, the Kings will be asked to unveil themselves first. Than the sorceresses will unveil themselves. At the same time, Dolman will make his move and draw the guides and Ryu into an alternate dimension of his creation. Yes, he's very powerful. However, doing that will drain him a bit and those 5 will give him a run for his money lol. The curse will be unleashed in time for the others to make their escape from that alternate dimension. So is everyone clear?))
Ryu walked back inside standing close to the guides unknowing what was about to happen Ryu thought ."Perhaps they will make there move soon."
He grabed something to eat while waiting for the kings to reveal themselves, Ryu already knowing who the king of mornia was, he searched the room for the people he was suposed to protect, seeing Leena with the person from before. Ryu prepaired himself for the worst, because he knew what will happen next will be very hard to deal with.
Alexander looked at Leena and sighed. A sadness filled him but he was able to hide it because of his mask. The time was going so fast and it seemed only minutes ago that he had met this special girl. Atleast, that was what he thought about her. She was special in her own way. Beautifull too not to mention. He didn't know if he would ever see the girl after the ball, but maybe he could invite her for a dinner when he got the chance to speak to her.
Lejla narrowed her brows, contemplative. The opera box would be a better place to watch for danger, but the surge of magic was growing stronger, more sinister, and she could feel it swirling around her, the energy tingling her fingertips. It was almost midnight, and the ball would soon be over. The others will make their move. I don't know if staying here would be better than going up to the boxes, she thought. Ah, well. Be bold. "Alright. Opera boxes it is." If we can get over there before the unveiling. "Unless you two have anything to add," she said, addressing Israel and Karuta.
Israel looked at all of them he new it was almost time to take off all of our masks. After that thought Lejla added, "Alright. Opera boxes it is ,unless you two have anything to add,"
He looked at her, "No not at all, I think it would be good if we hurried soon to." He made a motion for them to hurry to the opera boxes, "Hurry now, we woudn't want to miss anything that is out of place would we?" He started walking toward the boxes hoping they where following, cause he didn't want to look suspisious by looking back.
Misu crossed her arms and slouched against the wall, she knew it was almost time. She looked at all of her sisters, and could tell that they knew just it just as well as she did. She thought to herself, "I can't wait to get this stupid thing off my tender face!"
"You seem much too calm to have a temper," he said simply."
Glancing up from her feet, Adara met the man's eyes and curiousity alighted gently in hers. Pursing her lips and looking upward in thought, she said, "Yes, I suppose you would think that." Staring back at the tree that stood tall in front of them, she caressed the flower that had opened at her touch earlier and the petals folded inward, until it was wrapped into itself once again. "Perhaps it is your quiet nature that is so near to mine, but I do not usually speak this freely to others. It's most likely your tranquility that is enveloping me, and in turn keeping me as peaceful as you seem." The corner of her lips tipped upward almost unnoticably into a wry smile. "I tend to hide my feelings from others, as some of the things that I think would anger them. . . I suppose I deserve the scorn that I receive, however: if you ask for honesty, then it shall be given - " She paused and bit her lip lightly, running a hand through her tousled, auburn hair. " - Rather, as much of the truth as is polite. . ."
Far away, from inside the large house behind them, a loud gong sounded in the air and a voice could just be made out. "The midnight hour is almost here ladies and gents! Please make way back into the ballroom for the unveiling!"
Turning toward the ballroom, Adara quietly slid on her black heels and began to walk in its direction. Pausing her long stride, she looked back over her shoulder at the man that stood behind her. In the moon light, her amber eyes gave off a sharp glint and the dress she wore shined a pearly white, her long hair gleaming darkly as if a shadow, creating a hauntingly beautiful image. "Would you accompany me, sir? I have yet to know your name or face."
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
After a few moments of dancing, Reyne noticed her sisters stir. Her father came from his shadow in the corner and began to move toward the distractions. Excusing herself from the man she was with, she moved to the edge of the room. Reyne loosened her mask slightly, readying to remove it, and quietly felt the auras of the others around her: excitement, love, surprise. Tuning out the insignificant feelings of the humans, she felt her sisters' - they all had a dark, maroon sphere encirling them. They were ready - and now. . .
It was time.
Sidhe listened to their conversation, casually blending in the crowd as a happy party-goer. "My Lord warned me of their presence, do you not think that theirs did not do the same for us? I have no doubt in my mind that they know we are here. However, if you want privacy and a vantage point, I would recommend one of the opera boxes." One of the men asked, a holy man it would seem. The others had agreed and were about to head over to watch the next activities of the ball when midnight was announed to be soon. Amaris's voice filled her head. It's almost time. Get into your positions. Father is handling the interruptions. Good, thought Sidhe, she had wondered if she should do anything, but if her father was in place, then he could easily take care of them. She walked away from the buffet table and, seeing a man in the shadows of the room begin to move, arranged to casually pass him. "Opera box." she whispered as she passed him. She got into the position she had been told to be in and loosen her mask for the unvieling.
"Yes, I suppose you would think that." The girl said. "Perhaps it is your quiet nature that is so near to mine, but I do not usually speak this freely to others. It's most likely your tranquility that is enveloping me, and in turn keeping me as peaceful as you seem. I tend to hide my feelings from others, as some of the things that I think would anger them. . . I suppose I deserve the scorn that I receive, however: if you ask for honesty, then it shall be given - Rather, as much of the truth as is polite. . ." Fahad listened intently. So she was a mirror of the tranquility around her, Fahad thought that was interesting, and her honesty was a blunt as his was when he deigned to speak, as blunt as protocol would allow him. His father had made him learn to at least be polite when he talked to foriegn dignitaries, a thing that took a while to learn as the political pleasantries commonly escaped him. She intriqued him, he decided, so blunt and honest when everyone was lying through their teeth to please him.
A bell sounded and a voice rang out that warned of the impending midnight and unvieling. The girl began to move toward the ballroom, putting on her shoes as she went. He stood in the shadows, hesitating to return to the crowed hot mass that was the people inside, but duty urged him to return. He stepped into the moonlight, his steely colored hair turning almost silvery in the light. He stepped beside the girl and offered his arm. "I will accompany you." He said, "and you will know both my name and face at the unvieling." He said, knowing that her attitude would change the second she knew his title. "May I know yours however?"
Dolman had been keeping tabs on the ones he intended to deal with. However, when his daughter Sidhe told him about the opera box he was pleased that one of his daughters was paying attention. He raised his daughters to be strong and aware and it seemed all of them were capable of that. The only reason why he had children in the first place was to secure Ordrin as his own and knew he would have needed offspring for his grand plan. Now it was finally coming into fruition. Soon all he had been working for would be his. Patience was a skill he highly valued and it was about to pay off. Soon he would make his move here and hopefully kill two birds with one stone, one by his own means and the other through his daughters.
Amaris saw people coming in and still couldn't spot all the kings yet. Taking their time weren't they? It was critical that they be there at midnight. It was important because midnight was the witching hour, when her and her sisters' powers were at their greatest. He head snapped up though when she spotted the King of Nitel with the same girl he been with the majority of the night.
Leena wondered where Takumi was. He was probably reluctant to come back and have to reveal himself. She knew that he would rather meet potential suitors in these circumstances when they didn't know who he was. She knew his advisors were pressuring him to get married and produce an heir. It wasn't right in Leena's opinion. She was glad she didn't have to worry about that kind of thing. She turned to her companion.
"You know, I know this is probably wishful thinking, but I do hope we get to meet again after this night. I don't even know your name yet. Isn't that odd?" she asked him.
So she had been right. It was nice to see another of her own Kingdom, for she had only danced with two after all these hours. She had to admit though, speaking to them was another small little joy to her. They spoke little of their kingdoms but it was enough to bring back the feeling of adventure she still waited to experience.
Despite the fact that she was an amazing actress, but lies usually past by her. For some reason, it specially came to a situation when a person meant no harm over the lie. He repeated his name and seemed to hold back on his, but soon spoke. Papillion nodded in small recognition, a quick sign that indicated that she had indeed heard and her mind was not lost to thoughts so quickly. Her parents always told her it seemed childish, but there still came times when she couldn't help but block out the world around her.
From inside, she heard the call that quickly started herding the pairs back inside into the overcrowded ballroom. She stood herself after a few seconds and took in her last breaths of the lovely cherry blossom scented air. "We should start heading back inside, Sir Bessad," The girl said, putting on a small smile. "I believe this might just be the most interesting time of the night."
Lavilev was not worried. Too much going on that no one can predict. Even with our information, there are still too many variables. What will happen will happen. No matter the events, the outcome will always be the same. They quickly made their way up to the opera boxes to view the final event of the night. "I wonder if this will be as exciting as we have heard. It may sound strange, but I sincerely hope that it will not be disappointing." His hand was fingering his knives anxiously. the first was for combat. It has drawn blood many times, but had never taken a life. The second has never been sheathed without taking a life before hand. the last he used once a year, and has never touched a human. My Lord, I ask now that the second blade will not be needed tonight. When they reached the box, Lavilev chose to remain standing. His right hand rested on the pommel of his Khopesh. It was not ceremonial, and he carried it of his own will, so it had no restrictions. "I apologize in advance, my friends. the next several minutes I will be occupied with a series of prayers. I hope that does not bother any of you." First is the blessing for kings, second will be a blessing for overcoming evil, third will be a blessing for safety in battle, fourth will be grace after the evening meal, fifth will be the evening blessing, then I'll finish with Adonai's Sovereign praise. I hate praying this long. I hope I have time to finish it all. Might as well add a request for patience.
OOC: Jews have a lot of prayers. :P
Takumi saw that they were late in arriving. It would not have been a problem if he were not the King. "Blast it all." He cursed his throne for the thousandth time. "My dear Viola, if you will excuse me, I will return shortly." He gave a weak grin, and walked up next to Alex. "Hello friend, I hope that My cousin was good company?" he smiled broadly his ally as he took off his mask. He wanted nothing more than to see the expression on Viola's face, but for some reason, he could not meet her eyes. He looked at the floor instead, and laughed. He forget to put his shoes back on. they were muddy from walking outside, and a coat of sand was stuck to the mud from his garden. "Oops." he chuckled to himself. His advisers would have a fit over this. Go ahead and let them. They are the ones pressuring me to choose a bride from this evening. He despised the whole concept. He knew that he needed to produce an heir. He had no argument with that. He wanted to have an weir in fact. He wanted a wife, and family. but he did not want a stuck up, girl who thinks she is better than the lower class because of her family. and he definitely did not want a girl who only cared to marry him so she could be queen. He wanted some one who was shy, unsure of herself, cared about him no matter what his political position. He wanted a lower class girl most of all, but that would be completely unacceptable. and even he had to agree not to go that far. but, if he had to choose a girl from tonight, he would not give it a second thought. I'll be by your side soon, Viola. I hope that you still want to dance with me.
Leena was a bit flabbergasted when she saw Alexander go up and reveal himself. However, the only physical reaction was the widening of the eyes. He was a king? He mentioned Nitel so that's probably where she was from. Oh she knew about King Alexander. She had just never met him before. She avoid meeting the other royals when they came to Mornia. Soon Takumi showed up and smiled. She looked at him, giving him a look saying she'd get him back later. The rascal knew she was dancing with the king and didn't say a word! He was probably enjoyed that fact. She saw Alexander look at her and she blushed again, not being able to look at him. She didn't regret her past behavior, but she did feel a bit silly for acting the way she did. What if she had known he was the king at that time? She probably would have acted the same. Living around royalty and nobility all her life, she knew the people were no different that commoners.
King Alexander looked back at Leena and smiled. He saw her eyes widen and then looked down. Maybe he should have told her. Though, if she was the cousin of King Takumi, then she would know how to act around royalti. Though he mostly acted like a normal man.
