Most see Mayriss as a welcome mat, which welcomes you to walk all over it. In a way, that is true. Whenever she is asked to do a favor, she will always reply with a simple, sweet, "Sure", regardless of the situation. Whether it is to carry a bag or two, or to do about ten people's homework in one night, she'll do it. This is mainly because she likes to feel useful, or detests feeling useless. If Mayriss doesn't help anyone for about two days, even, she'll start to get depressed. As the days go by, she'll keep getting more depressed, until...you get the point. The only way to stop that small feeling inside is to help someone. That's the reason why she always does favors, and always agrees when someone asks her to do something.
Mayriss is also a very secluded person. She doesn't like crowds, and prefers to be alone, either with a book, or snuggling with her kitten, Snowshoe. She doesn't favor human contact that much, either. She claims she just likes to have her space, but...some have their suspicions. She often tenses when people offer to shake hands with her.
She doesn't like to talk either. The only chances of her talking are when you ask her a question, but usually she'll just nod, depending on if it's a yes or no question or not. Not a lot of people know what her voice sounds like, and she doesn't have a problem with that. Though, one of the reasons she doesn't like talking is because she has a bit of a stutter, but that's one out of many reasons.
Mayriss stands at 5'1, weighing exactly 99 pounds. She has long, silky, straight hair that falls down to her shoulders. Not many have quite figured out her hair color, since it does seem to change in the lighting, from either a dark brown, to a jet black. She also has long bangs, that hang right above her vibrant, purple eyes, that seem to glimmer if the room is lit just right. Her skin is slightly pale, with a hint of tan from being out in the sun every once in a while. She has a slender build, and small eyes, that fit along with her short height, and her rather small facial features. She always seems very calm, and to be without worries.
Mayriss loves to wear skirts, and dresses. She's not a big fan of pants, and will only wear them when it's cold out. She's accustomed to the colors pink (Light pink in particular), orange, yellow, white, and light green. She rarely wears dark colors, and feels less comfortable when doing so. She doesn't have much muscle, but since she's small, she can get into small spaces, and get things other people cannot. Also, she wears a small metal bracelet on her right wrist; of which she never takes off, that was from her Father, and means a lot to her.
