Miss Meli's Story

Yamada Taiki

Yamada awoke to the sound of his alarm beeping at 5:00 A.M. Quietly, he slipped on a plain black Tai-Chi uniform and made his way to the the dojo. One good thing about having parents that had more money than they knew what to do with was the fact that he could make requests for buildings like this for Christmas. In fact, his mother was rather pleased when he asked and insisted on remodeling the entire Château. His mother had a knack for using French words, but she was not far off in describing their home thus. Their home was certainly the size of a manor house meant for nobility or gentry in French-speaking regions. Really, it was an amalgram of different styles: English, French, Italian, Russian, American, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. Personally, Yamada felt their home or Château possessed all style and no substance. He was grateful that his dojo remained simple. Traditionally Japanese, but simple.

After a couple hours of practicing the movements of Tai-Chi, Yamada felt relaxed. His muscles were loosened and his mind was possessed of an inner calm. He made his way to the kitchen, not surprised to find a number of people passed out in various places: on couches or on chairs, at the cocktail bar, and even on the floor. A few, he was certain,had probably made theri way to the guest rooms. For a moment, he missed his father's penthouse in New York City. His father did not socialize nearly as much as his mother and rarely invited more than a few guests over to his home. It was neatly ordered and lacked the passed out form of the occasional middle-aged guest, futilely trying to keep up with the next generation.

That morning, he asked the chef to cook him a simple breakfast of pastries, fruit, and gyokuro tea. He ate slowly, savoring the taste of his meal and thanked the chef before heading for school.

He chose to walk to school that day, as was his habit. It was still early and quiet, but a couple students stopped him and joined him. He said nothing as a bespectacled boy his age joined him along with a girl who, by the looks of it, had dyed her hair a bright blonde. He said nothing. He himself dyed his own hair.

"Good morning, Yamada-kun!" she exclaimed, drowning out the other boy's greeting. Yamada nodded at them.

"Akira-san. Hiro-san," he greeted politely with a polite smile, "How are you today?"

"Like, totally awesome. I got a new idea for a new event. You know, the school doesn't ever celebrate Summer holidays, with Summer vacation and all. I was thinking we push those missed holidays together into a "Summer Remembrance" week," she told him brightly. Hiro frowned at her.

"You just want to turn it in a whole week of nothing but American Independence Day," Hiro told her. Yamada suppressed a sigh. Just as in America, you got people who were obsessed with Japanese culture, you got people in Japan who were obsessed with American culture. The previous summer, when he was visiting his dad, Yamada had invited both of them with them in the hopes of curing Akira of her obsession. It only deepened it.

"I know! Don't you remember the fireworks and the neat costumes and the music! Oh, and the food. And the carnival and ball in Bristol... Oh, and the clowns were hilarious and..."

"We don't have the money in the budget for all that, Akira-chan. Tell her, Yamada-kun," Hiro pleaded. For a moment, he had been distracted. He watched Tembelle Yuu from across the street, distinct in one of her kimonos. Suddenly, he wished he had been walking with her.

"Yamada-kun!" Akira practically shouted, tearing Hiro's eyes from the girl. He sighed.

"Akira-san, Hiro-san is Treasurer for a reason. It's his job to save money," he told her. Before she opened her mouth to complain, however, Hiro continued, "Hiro-san, you know Akira-san will not quit on this. Maybe you can give her something."

"Aww... That's sweet, Yamada-kun..."

The two continued to argue, but Hiro paid no attention to either Akira's exclamations nor her flirtations nor the pained look on Hiro's face when he noticed. Honestly, the two could be quite tiresome. Hiro, not so much, but he was never far away from Akira, who made enough trouble for the both of them. Still, they were at least tolerable.

8:00
Yamada sat at his desk reading a book. Hiro and Akira weren't too far away from him when he heard Miss Meli's incessant shouting. He almost rethought his plan, but he didn't. He wanted to know more about Tembelle Yuu and he wasn't going to get to know her better without seeing more of her. He looked up to see another person enter class, Qudella Naru. He shook his head.

"It would seem that you were held up by Meli-sensei, weren't you Qudella-san?" he asked, subtly giving her a way out of a potential detention.

Mayriss Errains



"Meeeoooowwww!!! Meowww!!!! Mrrooowww!!!"

Mayriss groaned softly, to hear her kitten meowing angrily at her. She went through this every morning. Snowshoe (her kitten) would get hungry overnight, and at about fix o'clock in the morning, she'd come into Mayriss' room, and start meowing angrily, the sound getting louder every time the kitten had to meow at her owner to feed her. This is why Mayriss didn't bother to buy an alarm clock. Her kitten woke her up before she would even bother to press the snooze button.

"Mrrrroww!!" The kitten whined even louder, convincing her owner to crawl out of bed. Mayriss pushed off her covers, and sat up, letting out a small yawn. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, and didn't stop until her vision became more clear. Mayriss then stood up, smiling as the feline rubbed up against her legs, still meowing impatiently. She chuckled slightly, and gradually made her way down the staircase, Snowshoe following her eagerly.

Mayriss then slipped into the kitchen, where she made breakfast, and where the kitty's food bowl was set. She opened up the top cabinet, pulling out a bag of cat food, and poured some into Snowshoe's bowl. The kitten dug in. Mayriss walked over to the fridge, and pulled out leftover waffles. She took out one waffle, and stuck it in the microwave, before marking a red X on a calendar, that hung next to the microwave.

"Two and a half more months," Mayriss muttered. She was referring to when her (adoptive) parents were going to get back from their business trip. Her parents went on lots of trips, and were barely ever home. They weren't tired of Mayriss or anything, but their job required it. If they could, they'd probably spend all their time at home. But, sadly, that was how life worked.

Mayriss then rushed back to the microwave, as soon as she heard it finish. She took out the waffle, and ate it, before heading back upstairs, and slipping into her school uniform. Next, she headed to the bathroom, and brushed her teeth, before brushing the mess she called her hair. She ended up putting her hair into a high pony tail, since it didn't feel like cooperating with her today. Plus, it was raining, and whenever it rained her hair would get a bit out of sorts, so it would be better if she just kept it up.

Mayriss then headed outside, and took her bike, as she started riding to school.

8 o'clock

Mayriss was in her seat by 8 o'clock, with her nose in a book, like usual. When Miss Meli's shouting started to stir all of homeroom, she quickly covered her ears with her hands, though, it didn't seem to have much of an effect on the announcement. When the announcement was over, Mayriss let out a small, quiet sigh of relief, before looking back at her book; which, was closed, since she didn't save the page she was on. She frowned slightly, and started scanning the pages of the book to find where she was at.

Ryo didn't like arriving to the school early. It was more of something he was programmed to do. there was a number of reasons he had to arrive early but the number one reason he hated most of all was catching up on work he missed while dealing with a certain someone. Heh, who was he kidding? He would've skipped all the work in the world to do anything with that person. Still, since he was an adult, work had to be done. He sat still dabbling through the numerous numbers of papers on his desk. the last couple of test seemed to have too many trick questions for the students. He prefered his test to be hard but not too hard. No one recieved an F but only a few student got A's. He bit his thumb in excitement. It was only the begginning of the year but he was feeling the natural joys of being able to teach students new things and with this test he saw that he could easilly teach students his very own formulas for equations or shortcutts if you will. Either way, they'll still learn it and they'll have a one up on other students.

It wasn't long until his students started coming and he stated taking role. Each student seemed to be on time except a few, but he decided to call their names last. He was enjoying having at least some none delinquent students but he couldn't blame the ones that did skip. Afterall, he himself use to skip school as a child. So as per usual he called their names last and everyone who he saw first. They had a few extra minutes thanks to Miss Meli's annoucement. His face frowned and the only sound in the classroom after that was the sound of him slapping his palm against his forehead.

You shouldn't act like you rule the school, or openly say you love people on the announcements.

That's what he thought to himself, but right after he sent her a text message saying, "I love you too."

Just then, another disterbance came in as Qudella Naru seemed to ninja herself into class just to yell, “I AM IN, AHAHAHAHAHA!,”.
He glared down at her and she just passively said, “Sorry for the late – eh, sorry for being late! And morning! Isn’t it a lovely morning?"

"Yes it is," He replied, "Now take your seat before I mark you absent for the day. Hojo!!!"
"Yes sensei." His least favorite student stood up.
"Seeing as I have to punish someone for being late and you want to be the first one here everyday, take this hallpass and get the hell out my class!!!"
"Yes Papa.... I- I mean Sensei." The boy nervously said while leaving his room.
"And stop calling me Papa. I'm not you father!!!!."

This kid had to be the person he hated most in the universe. It was because of him that Ryo Taitaijou was known as Papa-sensei. A nickname he despised. He never really liked fathers and much prefered not to be called one himself. Turning to the class he then said, "Well you heard the announcement. Now that role call is over, I suggest you not be late." Afterwards he left the class and headed for the old school building. Yes, he too was part of the Drama club. Not as a club member. Not as overseeer. well on paper he was. But, as a slave. Yes that was his off paper title. Slave to the crazy woman who ran the whole thing. Miss Meli.

Shouji Hiruka

Awoken to a screaming mother and a snoring father. "Shouji wake up! I want you to be early for school today!" Shouji sighed band after a few seconds of deciding whether to get up or go back to sleep. "GET up!" Jumping out of bed, he bowed a sorry to his mother as she stood in an 'don't make me tell you again' pose. He was very sensitive towards his parents, now that they are paying a little attention to him, he could really show them what type of son they have. Though he doesn't look like a good role model, he can be. If and only if he tried to be.

Getting ready and dressed for school, he could still hear is fathers loud snoring. Shouji was glad he didn't snore like him. Well, at least he hoped he didn't. Trying his best to ignore his father, he walked out of his room and down the stairs towards the kitchen. He wasn't really the type of person to be the most energized when it came to waking up and going somewhere early and the morning. Looking down at his plate,"Mom, my eggs are touching my cheese and my bread is touching my jam and butter." Not liking how food mixes together, he fixed his food the way he wanted it to be fixed and finished it as he walked out the door.

"Have a nice day at school honey! Don't be late!" Shouji looked back at his mother and waved. Man, if anyone had seen him doing this, he would never hear the end of it. Sighing, he then began walking to school, however; he wasn't for sure if he wanted to actually go to class today. Being on the edge of being kicked out of the school and being forced to do things he wasn't even comfortable with, he actually had to go to class today. He just didn't want to go to his parents and tell them that going to school didn't work out and they have to end up having him home schooled. Which was even more boring waking up to. So, he had to work hard, just until he is off the hook again this time.

8:00
Hearing the announcement from Miss Meli heard on the intercom,"Oh great, I have to go to that today." Walking into class he sat where he usually sat and laid his head between his arms and closed his eyes. Only Miss Meli would be able to determine if Shouji would be able to stay attending the school, and thanks to her, he was not kicked out. But of course being saved wasn't free. Not at all.

Kenya Liliah

Sprouting up and out of her bed,"Oh, isn't it a beautiful day? A most perfect day?" Prancing around in her room, she jumped on her bed as it was too early to go to school now. But, being early means she was going to be on time. She smile soon turned into a frown,"I'm a mess." Sighing, she got dressed and didn't even want to say hello to anyone even if they were still asleep. Nearly falling down the stairs, she held onto the railing until she felt like she would not be bumping her head on anything else today.

Going into the living area, she fixed herself some cereal and sat on the couch until it was time to go to school. Whenever the time was right, she walked out her house and began walking to school. Kenya took her time walking to school since it was close by, she smiled at most of the fellow students that passed her by. Skipping inside the school, she put on her happy face and did what she does best. That was act happy.

8:00
Smiling as she heard Miss Meli -her favorite teacher who knows her for her- exclaim on the intercom about theatre club. She just enjoyed acting, she'd act every chance she got. It doesn't matter whether it's onstage or offstage. She wonder who all has joined the club, she hope she wasn't the youngest there and that no one treats her like she is a child, well she was a chile but, a teenage child. There is a difference.
