Name/Alias:
PAN Project Soldier #1138
Connor Holt
Lieutenant Connor Clemens
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Age:
27
Gender:
Male
Description:
Height: 6'1
Weight: 180lbs
Though bearing the numerous physical scars of his eighteen years of military service, Connor is considered attractive by most women and men whose romantic interests are of the male persuasion. Sharp blue eyes seemingly assess and categorize everything within range. While he has been out of the military, Connor has not cut his hair. As such, the jet black hair that was once regulation short is now unkempt and unruly. This is not by choice, rather that Connor simply does not know where to go to solve this problem and doesn't like to do it himself. While in possession of a weapon, Connor walks with the gait of a man fully confident in the capabilities of his body. However, take the weapons away and Connor seems slightly lost and agitated.
Personality:
Though out of the military for over a year now, he is still obviously not completely adjusted to live as a civilian. Indeed, Connor often finds himself speaking in military terminology, though he makes a conscious effort to the contrary. For a man who has spent more than half of his life in military service, Connor possesses a...unique sense of humor. He's quick to laugh and easily integrates himself into most groups, as was necessary in his time as a military operative who was constantly bounced from team to team as needed. Connor does not anger easily, but rather attempts to shrug irritants off with a laugh or quip. As much combat as Connor has seen, he should suffer from PTSD. However, be it by the regularity he saw it or the early age at which violence was introduced, the young man currently displays no outward signs of the mental illness. Connor quite obviously possesses a very high intelligence, but this is mainly only evident when time for briefings and missions. Outside of work, Connor is very much a child rediscovering what the world has to offer to someone who is paid an ungodly amount of money to kill, steal, and sabotage.
Training/Abilities:
Connor has received extensive amounts of training in multiple fields of combat tactics, battlefield strategy and theory, and various types of weaponry. The sixteen years spent as a special operations operative have hardened his body and sharpened his reflexes, while allowing his mind to bend, but not break. Connor possesses a sharp and quick mind that rapidly assimilates information to the point that it seems as if he acts without thinking. Rest assured, his actions are usually well thought out. Usually.

History:
If you haven't guessed by now, Connor was a soldier. Yet, unlike most soldiers, his term of service was not voluntary. Born to a nomad band, Connor doesn't remember his last name. The boy never had much use for it before the military and he certainly didn't need it while in it. At the age of eight, Connor's nomadic family's band was raided and wiped out by a military task force. The only survivors were children between the approximate ages of six and ten. All survivors were taken to a facility whose location was undisclosed (but Connor figures it was the Rocky Mountains by the climate and landmarks and the military's own unwillingness to train overseas) and given a pet puppy to care for. Connor named his puppy "Shitlord", of course. For the next six years, Connor was brutally and rigorously trained with his "class" of 1,999 other children whose origin stories were similar to his own. Connor's graduation consisted of being ordered to kill Shitlord. Connor did it without hesitation, but the memory and regret haunts him to this day.
The next twelve years were a flurry of missions, explosions, and death. Connor's first human kill came the day after his fifteenth birthday. He remembers everything about the moment: from the way the man's brown eyes widened at seeing the child soldier pointing a shotgun at his face to the way his body crumpled in the aftermath. Connor doesn't remember the subsequent 787, but has kept a running tally. When he was 24, Connor was granted a battlefield promotion to Lieutenant and, thus, granted a last name .The brass figured it was a little unnerving for an officer to only have a single name, if he were ever to give orders to non-SpecOps forces, so every PAN Project soldier was granted a last name from a pool of famous literary authors. Connor got Samuel Clemens. Thus, Connor Clemens was born. He was even issued official documentation, to boot.
Once promoted to officer, Connor began to notice things due to his increased interactions with the outside world. He would catch glimpses of life beyond the military. Familiar sights and sounds triggered strong emotional responses in the young man. Two years later, Connor went AWOL after a particularly difficult mission in South America. Apparently, desertion had become a problem with the surviving 1,576 PAN soldiers. Because their extensive training and resourcefulness in guerilla warfare made them a bitch to recapture, official policy was established to govern their treatment. Any soldier who went AWOL were considered honorably discharged from the military and a bank account was established in their names containing the sum of what their earnings would be based on their years of service and rank. Most never touched said accounts, seeing it as a convenient way that the government could track you. Connor was among the number.
As such, Connor has spent the majority of the last year living paycheck to paycheck in various menial jobs. It has been the happiest year of his life. Only recently had Connor allowed himself to take a contract. He was asked by a prominent local politician to "handle" a particularly nasty street gang. He and three other independent contractors went into the block, armed and armored to the teeth. Only Connor emerged, but he emerged victorious. The media had no idea who or what caused the carnage of what has become known as the Verona Street Gang Massacre, but word found its way around. Connor was given an offer by a representative of CKSD named George Delaney. The offer was too lucrative to refuse.
Other Info
Going into his employment at CKSD, Connor had no tangible assets to his name other than his armor and armaments. Connor will likely never touch the bank account that was established in his name. Due to his nomadic origins and his living conditions of the past year, Connor feels a bit of a soft spot for the transient population and has established a friendly rapport with them. Connor has not contacted or received contact from any member of the PAN Project, but knows the names and faces of all surviving 1,576. If he were to come across any, they'd immediately be considered family and vice versa.
