A smile crept upon his face as he watched them sit or stand around, some looking at him, some looking everywhere but him. He knew them all rather well, more than they thought that he did. Cain wasn't an idiot, long ago, where he first realized their importance, he dug up their life history. They were all different - so...special. An all were before him, unsure of their fate. They knew about the job offer. They knew that he knew about their abilities. Then, the list of the knowledge about this gathering stopped for them.
"Ladies, Gentlemen." Lord Cain decided to speak, as he knew that some of them were rather unnerved about this. "You all know that I gathered you here to give you a job offer. One that you cannot refuse."
He waited for their reaction. Some looked at each other, some let their eyes widen. Some didn't do a thing.
"I would like you to work for my company - its called D.Ed & Co." He continued."You're probably wondering what you would be doing." Cain saw the spark of curiosity that appeared in their eyes. "As I gathered a rather strange group here. A stunning and talented actress. A life-hardened criminal. A knowledgeable teacher. A famous author of one of my favorite books. A charming your millionaire. A mathematical genius beyond her years. And a feisty yet kind girl." As he mentioned each of them, he gave a curt and polite nod to each.
"D.Ed & Co. deals with a range of things - mostly whatever the client wants. If they have enough money, that is. "He chuckled darkly. "You are an exceptional group that I'm sure will be great for it. Not only that, I believe that you are made to do this." Cain was silent for a second, taking in their expressions. "Why do I believe so, you may think? Well, maybe its the fact that you seven are the embodiment of the seven deadly, original sins - Greed,"He motioned to Charlotte, the actress "Envy," Cain gave a mock bow to Cassandra, the criminal. "Pride," He nodded at Drake, the high school teacher. "Gluttony," He waved at Alex, the writer. "Lust," Cain mock bowed again, this time at Jonathan, the millionaire. "Sloth" He smiled at Angela, the maths genius. "and finally, Wrath." He motioned to Reaine, the ten year old girl.

Not including Lord Cain, there were six other people in the room. Some she had seen in passing at the Charity Ball but she didn't know any of them. However, Reaine could have sword that one of them was the writer Alex Capo and another was an actress who's name was escaping her. Honestly she felt out of place, though Reaine was a very mature girl, she was still a child and she knew it. Everyone else in the world was much older then her, and bigger she thought.
Reaine was the last one in the room so she didn't have to wait long before Lord Cain began his speech. He opened up with talking about a job offer, something that Reaine was confused about and that confusion was a little evident on her little face but she didn't say anything. Next he introduced each of the group and told them that they were the embodiments of the seven sins, and that Reaine herself was wrath. Reaine's first reaction was to laugh at such an absurd idea, but she couldn't laugh at it. As stupid as it sounded, it made sense...in a twisted illogical sort of way. She was exceptional good at getting revenge, even enjoyed it secretly. And of course there was 'the incident', she didn't regret that at all.
Wrath... the idea made her shutter but at the same time it peaked her interest. As many of the others burst out at the absurdity, Reaine merely shifted in her chair to look out the study window and think. She kept half an ear on the conversations but only picked out pieces of the conversations, she was much to deep in thought to give the others much thought. Her ears did perk up upon hearing Lord Cain say they were demons given a second chance. That was absurd but once again it did offer an answer, if illogical. Reaine had actually thought about it before but it was just so absurd.
Reaine turned back from the window and looked at Cain, "So, say I was to go ahead with this notion that I'm the Demon of Wrath. Considering I would be one of the seven deadly sins, supposedly one of the most evil demons to have ever come into existence, released at the time of Eve taking the apple. Why would God give me, or for that matter anyone in this room a second chance? The very notion seems absurd but it's even crazier if we believe it. I highly doubt anything we could have done in Hell would have been 'good' enough for God to give us a second chance." Reaine cocked her head to the side cutely and gave Cain a small smile that seemed to say 'I got you'. If he could answer her question sufficiently or she was allowed to research his so called proof before accepting any contract then she might agree to him. As for any sort of jobs that it might entail, Reaine was fairly fine with, though she was a little wary about the murder idea. She didn't like killing, though she knew she could kill someone if she had to.

"It is possible, Mr Verano. Right now, anything is. Unfortunately, I do not have any clear answers right now, like I said, I hoped to uncover them as we continue to work together." He then turned to Reaine. " I wouldn't treat you like a tool, Miss Sterana. It would not be beneficial for me, or you. I would like to consider you seven as, partners of sort." He clasped her hand, shaking it firmly. "Welcome to D.Ed & Co, Miss Sterana."
Lord Cain kept his hands firmly at his sides as he eyed Alex. "Mr Capo, I would like to welcome you, too. I would love to shake your hand if you would promise not to use your powers on me."
"Miss Westbrook, I hope that you find this satisfying." Lord Cain took out a large stack of brand new banknotes and threw it at her. "This is exactly ÂŖ6250, exactly a quarter of what you will get each month." He stopped for a second. "That is of course, when you join us."
