Akisa "Fredirich" Ryuuzaki

There was no love in her old home, just a race to please her ungrateful parents. Every time she gives, they wanted more. Like leeches lucking the blood out of their host. If she gives any less, theyā€™d ignore her like trash. Akisa was used to itā€¦ she had lived in that system for the first fifteen years of her life. Another person would have gone madā€¦ but not her, at least she didnā€™t think she was close to breakingā€¦ the ā€˜loveā€™ her parents tends to show the public was nothing but a lie. A face in the public to make it look like they were a loving familyā€¦

Truth to be told, they werenā€™t and would ever beā€¦ she didnā€™t care for them and neither did they. She was their trophy child, nothing more, nothing else. Her reason was to only please and be shown off.

A grumbling nose yowled from the pits of the dollā€™s stomach as Akisa turned her gazed towards him. It was kinda cuteā€¦ wait? What the hell was she thinking about?? The young girl quickly shook the thoughts off her head. It was probably grief or lack of sleepā€¦ yeah that was it. The young child deterred as she heading towards the kitchen. Her steps light against the beige tiles as she opened the cupboards before pulling out a bowl and some flour. From another cupboard she pulled out a jar of sugar as well as some yeast. Rice flour was the best for dangoā€™s itā€™s what gives the sweets its, soft texture.

ā€œUhmā€¦ you donā€™t mind Oolong tea right? I have some milder ones if you donā€™t like it.ā€ She called out from the kitchen as she poured water on the flour mixture. Using her hands, she started to mix it until it formed into a dough, from there she formed it into balls before placing it into a bowl. No she wasnā€™t done yetā€¦ she placed a steamer on the stove before she added some water as she placed the uncooked dango inside, ten minutes was all it needed to cook. During that time she heated some water in a kettle as she took out some tea leaves. She poured some into a small teapot before she added the water. The tea was doneā€¦ now all she needed was the dangos. Carefully, she took the now cooked sweets before she placed it into a plate. On top, she carefully added the anko topping. ā€œDoneā€¦ā€ She intoned politely as she walked out of the kitchen with the dangos and tea as she placed it on the coffee table.

Vanora Quintus
When Vanora heard a kind voice that seemed to have been directed toward her, she looked up hesitantly to see a teenage girl with lovely, soft gray eyes. She noticed the girl had a slight blush on her cheeks making her even more elegant than she already was. I shouldn't be thinking about that...The Owner just d-died and you still need to eat kinako dangos! Vanora scolded herself silently.

She realized she still hadn't responded to the girl's question, ā€œOh...H-Hello...ā€ she stuttered ā€œI'm okay. I just thought the pixie charms...would...would've worked,ā€ she mumbled. Vanora lowered her head, a wave of shyness shook her small body. Her silky smooth hair fell into her face, effectively hiding her expression from the human who spoke to her.

She gathered the courage she seemed to have been lacking that morning and tilted her head up. She looked straight up at the unfamiliar woman, a light wind whisked her hair away from her porcelain face. Her nose wrinkled slightly when the wind caressed her bare cheeks.

ā€œI...I'm Vanora. Who...who are you?ā€ she stammered, her cheeks reddened slightly. She silently cursed her morning timidness. I wonder...maybe she knows how to cook kinako dango she thought hopefully as her stomach growled angrily at the lack of food. Her blush darkened and she quickly looked down, embarrassed that she was making a fool of herself in front of the kind human.

Eri Walker
Eri fidgeted nervously when the dollā€™s eyes looked up to meet hers, her blush darkening slightly. She was beautiful. Eri forgot about the fact that this doll was, in fact, not supposed to be real. All she could think about wasā€¦how beautiful, how exotic this girl was. Her auburn hair had more of a reddish tint to it, contrasting with her pale blue eyes. Her skin was milky white, making her dark gray dress stand out even more. She wanted to hold the girl, to touch her skin, to-

ā€œOh...H-Hello...ā€ Eri's eyes widen as she heard the doll speak, her soft musical voice wrapping around her, caressing her gently, her blush consuming her face, ā€œI'm okay. I just thought the pixie charms...would...would've worked,ā€ The doll lowered her head, breaking Eriā€™s dangerous train of thought. She ducked her head away when the doll looked back at her, hiding her reddened face. Why would she think that, why? It was a doll. It wasnā€™t like she couldā€¦fall in love with a doll. Eriā€™s eyes filled with curiosity and slight disgust and the thought of falling in love with a doll. Dolls werenā€™t supposed to talk. They were kidā€™s toys. Eri scoffed. A dollā€¦a living, breathing, talking doll. She wasnā€™t falling in love with it, she just happened to be admiring her beauty, which made her blush. They were normal thoughts. She would want to touch a dollā€™s skin, but the fact that this doll was realā€¦Eriā€™s nose wrinkled up in confusion.

She was stopping there. There wasnā€™t a point in continuing this thought, it got her nowhere.
When Eri looked up again, after regaining some control on her emotions, she saw that the doll was in fact, blushing. ā€œI...I'm Vanora. Who...who are you?ā€ the doll, Vanora, stuttered slightly, her cheeks dusted with a light blush that Eri found adorable.

Deciding that it was indeed time to leave this wreckage Eri stood up and walked quickly to the doll, ignoring the fact she might scare the timid thing, and plucked her gently from the ground, holding her loosely against her chest.

ā€œLook, Vanora,ā€ Her voice came back, and ended up sounding more cold that she had intended, ā€œWe need to go, everyone is gone, and I want to get away from here, okay?ā€ She began to walk at a brisk pace, careful not to drop Vanora. Her boots clanged on the concrete quietly, hair fluttering up and resting on her shoulders, her bangs falling into her eyes, obstructing her view, ā€œMy name is Eri Walker, and you will call me Eri.ā€ she smiled slightly down at the doll, a soft laugh bubbling to her lips before she could stop it.

ā€œI make Kinako dangos and that is it, so if you need anything elseā€¦ā€ She shrugged sadly, ā€œYa gonna just die I guess.ā€

The rest of the walk was quiet, and when Eri reached her apartment, she shivered slightly, shifting Vanora in her arms, unlocking the door slowly.
ā€œWhat are you doing home?ā€ Ailsaā€™s voice rang out shrilly, frowning at Eri as she walked through the solid oak door, Vanora in her arms.
ā€œHeyā€¦Isa-chanā€¦Iā€™m home?ā€ Eri laughed nervously, dreading the conversation before it had even begun. Her grip on Vanora tightened protectively. How was she supposed to explain Vanora to her sister?

Akisa "Fredirich" Ryuuzaki

Of course she wanted answers; she wanted to know how it was possible for a live, talking doll to even exist. This shouldnā€™t be impossibleā€¦ unless she was finally losing her mind. But she checkedā€¦ she was unfortunately awake. She had to rule out the insanity as wellā€¦ she was still sane if she hadnā€™t hanged herself already. As he ate; the young child sat herself on the armchair before she took the tea pot. She tipped the pot as she poured the warm liquid into the cup before she passed it towards the doll.

She wanted those answers; but what to askā€¦ Akisa pondered her questions before she finally settled on one. ā€œUhmā€¦ do you guys remember what happened to the shop? Likeā€¦ how the fire started?ā€ She queried. Of all of the things she wanted to know it was how the fire started. Sure the owner was a goofā€¦ but the man had more common sense not to leave a stove openā€¦ heck, why the hell didnā€™t he even get out? All those questions plagued the young childā€™s mind. As well as a few othersā€¦ but she withheld her tongue as she patiently waited for the doll to finish his meals.

Davian Hartseer

The doll continued to munch on his dangos happily. He was so grateful of Akisa for taking him in. Who knows what would have happened to his siblings and him if none of the cooks arrived! Thoughts of the orange cat tried to sneak back into his mind, but they quickly disappeared with the help of another dango. When Akisa pushed the tea to him, Davian nodded a thanks because his mouth was full. He chewed slowly, savoring the taste like it was going to be the last time he ever ate. He stopped chewing and swallowed when Akisa asked a question though.

ā€œUhmā€¦ do you guys remember what happened to the shop? Likeā€¦ how the fire started?ā€ The yarn doll was silent for a minute. Surely he remembered what had happened; after all he was there when the shop burned down. What did happen? He looked deep into his memory, trying to retrace his steps. All he could recall from the night before was that he ate dinner with the rest of his family, talked with the Owner (he quickly skipped over that part for fear of losing his cool), and then went to bed early. When he woke up, all that was left of the shop was ashes. Davianā€™s sewn brow furrowed in deep concentration. Surely he must have heard something. Not even rocks could sleep though a disaster like that! If only he could remember.

Davian was so deep in his own thoughts that he forgot that Akisa was even there. He couldnā€™t let a question like this go unanswered. Finally his forehead began to ache from how hard he was thinking giving him a few moments to realize that someone in reality was waiting for him to speak. Blinking, he tried to refocus. It took a few seconds more until the words came to him. ā€œS-sorry Akisa, but I canā€™t remember what happened.ā€ The dollā€™s button eyes began to sting with unshed tears of grief for the Owner and for not stopping the fire from happening. Alarmed, he tried to calm himself. He shouldnā€™t cry for something that had already occurred. It would only make things seem worse; however his mask of neutrality was beginning to slip. He knew sooner or later the cage holding everything inside would burst, but it couldnā€™t happen now, not in front of Akisa. The doll took a shaky breath as one tear escaped and ran down his cheek until it disappeared, absorbed by the yarn.

Alin Semloh

This kid, how arrogant. Alin grumbled with a face that looked a bit like a cross between a grimace and complete deadpan, and shifted a bit with the addition of the brat so that they were sitting comfortably.

"Hold on tight genki, this might be a bit too fun," She laughed lowly and revved the bike and inhaled deeply before taking off at full speed. Kami, this is better than just about everything. She thought contentedly as they raced through streets and between cars. Heck, she even forgot about the kid hanging onto her waist for a while, that and her destination. Luckily, she remembered before she went to far.

With a near-silent string of curses under her breathe she made a sharp u-turn, one that almost resulted in a skinned knee, or perhaps loss of control... ah well. They were fine.

"Almost there genki. Then you'd best be tellin' me what happened at that shop o'er there. You'll get your dango there, but don't be expecten' me to get it too often. I'd rather just cook it, 'ts cheaper." Alin said loudly, turning her head to be heard better but never actually taking her eyes off the road, that was dangerous ya' know. They were almost there...

Pulling up to a spot right in front of the nice corner-cafe she parked the bike and killed the ignition. Getting up Alin strode to the door and turned.

"Ain't you coming brat? I don't have all day." She sighed, this is why she hated kids, they got on her nerves for sure. Whaddya gotta do for a quiet little job around here, seriously. I go to my first day and find that the whole damned shop is burnt to a crisp and now I have'ta cater to this kid here for any goddamned answers! Alin was a little worked up, having already been previously annoyed that she freaked out about being late to her job only to find out that she didn't have one. And not even because she was late!

Sighing she pulled out a pack of cigarettes from her back pocket and a lighter that had been ornamented with a dragon and its claws. Lighting one she took a drag and released it before tucking the lighter back into her pocket. The matching wallet chain that made its way from back pocket to front on her right side where she kept her wallet jingled in a slightly ominous manner.

"You comin' or not runt?" She jibed, well she wasn't going to stand there like an idiot holding the door open all day, now was she?

Akisa "Fredirich" Ryuuzaki

He didnā€™t knowā€¦ crystalline tears dripped from his golden button eyes as it disappeared inside the soft fabrics, the pain she can understandā€¦ to wake up one day only to find his world had completely change. The parent he once leaned on was now gone; taken by the flames that had consumed the once happy shop. Who knows what could have happened that night. It was arsonā€¦ that Akisa had been sure ofā€¦ but she was no Sherlock Holmesā€¦ she wasnā€™t a detective.

Noā€¦

She was just an ordinary girl trying to get by on her own. ā€œDonā€™t cryā€¦ā€ Then young girl softly murmured. Yet her face didnā€™t betray any of her current emotions. She was too locked up to let others see. Too afraid to let others see her pain. The pain she had hidden for the last few years, now a new pain was added to her collectionā€¦ the misery of a lost. They both lost someone important in their livesā€¦ she reached into her pocket as she pulled out a handkerchief before she handed it towards the doll. His tears arenā€™t made to be shedā€¦ he was just an innocent in all this,

Akisa "Fredirich" Ryuuzaki

It was fate; there was nothing they could do to change it. It was simply the ownerā€™s time to depart, for the three fates to slice his thread. A single tear appeared at the corner of her left eye as she thought of the owner. His kind smiles, his sweet laughā€¦ she will never hear it again. She felt like a marionette with its strings cut off. Confused to this cruel, sad world she was born inā€¦ for the first timeā€¦ Akisa felt defenseless, she was aloneā€¦

No family, nor friendsā€¦

Absolutely and utterly aloneā€¦

But that was her life; she was cursed to this existence ever since she was brought into this world. The young girl merely nodded as the doll spoke his thanks, her face remained empty, as if a blank piece of paper with no writings. Her hand reached over towards the teapot before she poured herself a cup, her other hand wiped away the annoying tear from her eyes. Tears arenā€™t meant for herā€¦ she couldnā€™t cry, who would listen to her pain anyway. ā€œNo probā€¦ā€ She murmured eventually as she took a sip of her tea. ā€œI donā€™t think owner-san would like knowing that you were in such painā€¦ heā€™s in a better place now, so the best thing we can do is move on and live our lives.ā€ She added.

Magenta Avalanche

Magenta just continued to gape at the bath tub full of water and Kida. What was he supposed to do? If he just continued to stand there, he was going to start hyperventilating. "Um...Kida?" He brushed some of his magenta hair behind his ear and walked out of the bathroom. "Umm...,"he started to fidget with his fingers and blush harshly. He was embarrassed. Out of all the dolls, he never took a bath. Yeah, the owner cleaned him, but never a bath. He knew you take baths naked, but everything else was a blur. This was beyond embarrassing.

"K-Kida...?" His big, pale lavender eyes blinked as his blush grew darker. He gulped before continuing. "Um...I-I...I don't know h-how to take a b-b-bath..." He closed his eyes in humiliation. He has never been really naked in front of anybody, except when he transform into human, but he usually just covers himself with a blanket. He knew the cook was never going to let this down.

Akisa "Fredirich" Ryuuzaki

What moreā€¦ what more could she ask? Akisa blinked as she pondered her next question. Beforeā€¦ the answer slammed into her like a harsh kick. Of courseā€¦ the question that had once been on the top of her mind the moment she saw the dolls. How in godā€™s name are they even alive?... Akisa wanted to ask that, but she feared it might do more bad than good. The gentle owner just died and Davian was still in the grieving stageā€¦.
But wait?

Since when did she care about other peopleā€¦ strangeā€¦ was she growing soft? The young girl quickly dismissed the thought as she switched her gaze back to the yarn doll. ā€œJust wonderingā€¦ I mean if you donā€™t mind that is, how come you and your siblings are even alive?ā€ Akisa asked in hesitant tone, but her face never changed from her calm expression. Talk about poker faceā€¦ as she waited; she took her tea as she blew the steam away before she took a light sip. ā€œYou donā€™t have to answer it if you donā€™t want tooā€¦ if you wish to rest you can use my bed, Iā€™m fine with staying on the couch.ā€ She added with a light sigh.

Kida Usi.

Kida stopped in his tracks when he had heard the doll and the bath. He slowly turned around before giving a weak smile. "Y-You don't know how to take a bath?" He nervously said and started to think about the boss playing around with the dolls; Kida then jumped on him, leaning all over him. "Oh you poor thing!! I never knew the cook had those kind of interests!!! You must feel horrible being tied up and put to sleep for the owner to play with your wee-wee!" Kida sobbed, though there was no tears as his glasses became crooked.

Kida turned towards him picked Magenta up like a princess as he trailed into his room, throwing Magenta onto his bed. "I promise! I won't rape you in the bathroom! If the boss was still alive, I would beat him to a pulp!" Kida growled, being his hysterical self; he tended to be like this all of the time. Last winter when he had heard that his grandfather's dog got pregnant, Kida spent three hours with his grandfather in the blazing snow looking for the, quote to quote, 'The Son Of A Bitch That Got Eliza(Name of the dog) Pregnant.'

Him and his grandfather where almost exactly alike, so it wasn't a surprise to others when they had heard about this. Kida walked towards his drawers, opening the first one. "I just hope he didn't do..." He froze for a second before throwing Magenta a pair of yellow old swimming trunks. "Oh! Your poor bum!" He said, putting his arms up in the air and shifting into the bathroom. "Now get in here!" Kida said through his hysterical tantrum. "I shall teach you to bathe properly! Just make sure you put on those trunks... and don't take them off till I say so!" He yelled, sitting on the toilet with the lid closed.

Vanora Quintus
Vanora squeaked in suprise when the human gently picked her up from where she had been standing. her long thin fingers grip the soft fabric of the woman's shirt as she was held loosely against her chest. Vanora looked up at the woman carrying her in awe, her strawberry-blonde hair seemed to dance around around her body. She smiled softly, imagining how it would feel to run her fingers through the woman's hair. "Look, Vanora," the cold voice intruded on her soon forgotten fantasy, "We need to go, everyone is gone, and I want to get away from here, okay?"

Vanora nodded, looking around noticing that all the dolls and cooks had left the burned sight. The woman began to walk briskly, she tightened her grip on the shirt in fear of being dropped. So this lady is going to take me with her...She seems nice enough...Hopefully she can cook Kinako dangos... she thought to herself.

"My name is Eri Walker, and you will call me Eri, okay" the woman said in a softer tone of voice. Vanora looks up at her delicate face, a musical laugh seemed to bubble from her mouth, she relished in the momentary joy she got from listening to her laugh. Snapping out of her daze, she quickly nodding.

Vanora smiled in relief when the woman said "I make Kinako dangos and that is it, so if you need anything else. Ya gonna just die I guess." Her pale blue eyes brighten in relief, worry finally unattching itself from her mind.

"I need Kinako dangos...I look forward to eating them. Thank you, Eri-san," her voice gained more confidence as afternoon neared. Inwardly she grinned, knowning that not only would she survive but she would be living with a beautiful woman. Her cheek involuntary stain with red as she catches herself imagining wrapping arms around Eri's small waist, recieving warmful she tended to lack. Silently she scolded herself, she barely knew Eri, she could be cruel and is going to torment her for all she knew, but a part of her seemed to not be detered by that thought.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a piercing voice "What are you doing home?" She looked up to see an unfamiliar face but quickly deduced the girl was Eri's sister.

"Hey...Isa-chan..I'm home?" Eri laughed nervously, Vanora looked up at her in confusion. Why was she nervous? She silently questioned her. Eri's grip around her tighten, causing her to feel dismay. Is something bad going to happen? Is this Isa-chan going to hurt her or me...?

"H-hello...I'm Vanora," she stuttered quietly, letting her long bangs hide her eyes. Uncertainty and fear swirled in her eyes, slightly conforted by Eri's presence.
