From far beyond the Messier Galaxy, some 120 million light-years from Dark Hero Earth, a being with the most advanced form of telepathy known to any race directs his attention toward two insignificant life forms which he discovers standing on a bright blue world. Using his ability of total cosmic awareness Hyper-Galactus scans the minds of the two humanoids, as Hyper-Galactus penetrates the thoughts of the darkly clad human he comes to know his deepest inner feelings, and every deceitful thought.

Reaching for one of the levers before him Hyper-Galactus contemplates vanquishing this dishonest and treacherous creature. Kevlar is spared obliteration, as Galactus calculates the expenditure of energy needed to tare this insect out of space and time. Knowing that this creature, along with the rest of the human race will be dealt with soon enough Galactus pulls his hand away from the lever.

His interest had been drawn away from the two creatures when he noticed the item that Kevlar had set upon the ground-He desired it, he needed to possess it.

Stark wasted no time in his flight to the Batcave. If anyone could find out who decided to put a halt in the system, it'd be none other than the Batman. Normally, Stark preferred not to talk to the man, as their personalities conflicted horribly. Batman didn't take jokes and sarcasm as well as Tony had hoped, which was odd due ot his long running against the Joker. In any event, Tony wasn't completely in the mood for jests either until he had his system up and running without any complications.

A rather brutish thought entered Stark's mind as he neared the Batcave. He imagined a well-deserved beating to the troublemaker themself by none other than Iron Man. A bit odd, but maybe that was just the stress becoming visible in his mind. In any case, it'd be better for whoever caused Stark this trouble to stay out of his grasp, which was exactly what he or she was doing to Tony's dismay.

The scene Tony Stark arrived to was... interesting. Not only Joker but Killer Croc and Two-Face laid defeated on the cold, dirt ground of the once-great Batcave. The walls had suffered serious damage, and the place was anything but clean as far as Iron Man could see. After he gave the first glance around, he payed no more attention to the defeated villains nor even the two other concious persons in the room and directly addressed the detective himself. His facemask lowered so he could better speak to the Batman as he stepped forward and made sure his presence was known to everyone.

"If you're done playing with these clowns, I'm in need of your detective skills, Batman," he said calmly and realized he had a least taken back some of his character. Maybe it was the sight of defeated foes on the ground, who knows?

Batwoman

Barbara had been reaching towards Arrow, to put a hand on his shoulder and get him to his feet, when he made his proclamation... and was simply not 'there' anymore. The shock of the situation was such that Barbara stared at the spot he'd been for several long seconds. Even the men with whom they'd been so recently fighting seem stunned by what'd happened, and it isnt until one of them shuffles uncomfortably and - almost sheepishly - asks his boss 'what now?'

What now, indeed? Batwoman points her hand - and the grapling gun held there - straight up, and she is whisked away and out of their reaches, even if they did manage to recover enough to continue their tussle. The caped woman disappears through a bullet-shattered skylight and back out into Gotham's maze of buildings, racing back towards the damaged Wayne Mansion.

She had no idea, yet, what she would tell Batman asside from the truth. It was easy to fall into the lull that Bruce would know what to do, how to handle this. That was dangerous, and unfair to him. But Barbara was an information powerhouse, and often researched other masked individuals - good AND evil - just to add to her own collection of data. Galactus was a familiar name, but none of it good. Not good at -all-. And now they had a friend who had foretold of his comming, only to disappear into thin air with no clue to his whereabouts...

What now? God only knew.

BATMAN

Batman stared at the face of Tony Stark, irritated by his calm and relaxed demeanour. However, the Dark Knight knew that if Tony needed a favour, he was to be taken seriously. Refusing to be carried around Gotham by the Golden Knight, he accessed his own Stark inspired Batsuit, which was literally an Iron Man suit with a paintjob, a Kevlar cape and a bat symbol on the chest. The lights were also red instead of black. Finally, Bruce listened to Starks brief on what had happened and where the scene was. He nodded, and issued orders to Moon Spell and Nightwing.

"You two. Put those three away" he gestures to the villains "then rebuild the Batcave. I'll be back soon."

With that Batman and Iron Man jetted off, and Batman radioed Barbara to meet him at the building. She might see something Batman missed, and was invaluable help. He sent her the coordinates of her location, then sped up to catch Tony.

Batman sighed, weary. There was no end to the war.... No matter what anyone else said.
