Yuu's appearance has little resemblance to that of her parents, both of them being tall with dark brown hair and an air of easy confidence, while Yuu herself is tiny, fair haired, and often visibly uncertain of how to proceed in social situations, her usual expression being a slightly awkward smile. It might be fair to say that she looks a bit immature, not for anything that she actually does, but purely for her appearance, the almost professional way she wears her school's uniform precisely to regulation serving only to further this, rather than counteract it as is likely her intention, as does her voice, soft and courteous. It is also noticeable to to some that she rarely seems to know what to do with her hands when a rest, and they tend to be clasped or steepled before her, be playing with a pen, or something similar in that vein.

Yuu is bright, both in terms of personal disposition, at least in so far as she always seems to be smiling around the HIC, and in terms of intellect. Academically inclined and intuitively able in most subjects, it might not be inaccurate to call her a genius, and this serves her well both in school and as an intelligence gatherer for the club. Unfortunately for Miss Inoue, however, where she excels mentally she finds her natural talents decidedly lacking socially. That isn't to say that she is completely unpersonable, indeed, Yuu is one of the most polite and considerate young people you could care to meet, she merely has little in the way of inherent skill in it. As a result, she is frequently overly polite and formal, not quite trusting her own ability to gauge when to be otherwise, rather tentative, and prone to the occasional mild oddness that a hindered ability to intuit the flow of conversation results in. Yuu has grown quite fond of the Horror Investigation Club, and her fellows within it, and she genuinely enjoys her interactions with them, having come to consider them her friends. Finally, given the purpose of the club, it should perhaps be addressed Yuu and fear. Her worries are far more social than physical, both because the former causes problems more frequently, and because she has a better understanding of how to deal with the latter. In either case, she tries to keep a level head and consider the issue objectively and rationally, so to resolve it. When that doesn't work however, and she is truly out of options, she panics the same as anyone else.

Yuu likes: Investigation. When uncovering secrets and things unknown she feels that she's leaning something, something she takes to with enthusiasm. It is partly for this reason she handles research for the She also greatly enjoys the company of her fellow club members. And of course there's reading.
Yuu dislikes: School, surprisingly, or at least the lessons. Given the understanding one can gleam about the subject matter ahead of time by simply reading the right materials, which being her Yuu was driven to do at the first opportunity. She doesn't mind it too much, it's just mildly tiresome.

Reading, club activities, and the occasional anime or game, for the most part. Really, the club is her primary outlet, and she throws herself into it wholeheartedly.

All things considered, Yuu is most afraid of losing the club. She doesn't really have any friends outside of it, and she's self-aware enough to know she isn't the most capable at socializing. Dying is also something she'd like to avoid, but that's a fear that worries her much less frequently.

None at the moment.

As far as Yuu is concerned, her life until lately has not been particularly noteworthy, and in many ways it truly hasn't diverged that strongly from that of your average Japanese high school student. She's clever, yes, but she hadn't skipped any grades, or done anything of enough note to really be acknowledged for. She's socially awkward, but aware enough of this and invests enough effort into it that she's never been strongly disliked in school, her attempts at making friends not terrible, but not successful either. She's curious, but usually not outright nosy. She's odd, but not so odd that she draws a great deal of attention.
After reaching middle school and becoming what is colloquially known latchkey kid, with her parents growing increasingly busy with their work, Yuu further withdrew into herself, finding it easier to just go about her own business, reading and learning the way she'd grown accustomed to, than to try too hard to integrate herself into a group. But by high school, she was sorely missing the pleasant friendly interactions everyone else seemed to have, and wanted see if she could make some friends of her own given a situation that would allow for naturally, something that would put her and a small group of others in the same place and necessitate they interact with some frequency. A school club was the obvious answer, and the HIC, with its relatively low membership and its collaborative investigative nature, was the obvious choice among them. This worked out better than she ever really expected it would, something she attributes to the kindness and warmth of the club members, though whether or not hers in an accurate assessment remains to be seen. Either way, she greatly values the club and her first friends that can be found within it, and has worked hard in an effort to make herself invaluable to both.
