Setting
Alexander put the sword onto a pile of others. The castle had been busy as of late Forging weapons and armor. New villager were taken in everyday to be trained into solders. It seemed like was was coming. Several embassy's from other lords have came to the castle to. Was going to be a large one.
None of this concerned Alexander. He was a simple slave. As long as he was not being marched off to war or if there was a shortage of food it really did not matter. Finished with today's work he removed his smiting gloves. As Alexander was walking back to his hut which was little more then a private tool shed when he passed by the training camp. Blood splattered over his face and a head rolled to his feed. Alexander looked over and saw a decapitated recruit his sword only half drawn and one of the task masters laughing as he clearly enjoyed the kill.
This too was common for the officers believed that fear was the best way to keep the newby's in line. Before he could go any further a messenger arrived his eye's set on Alexander. "You have been summoned by the master Slave" the messenger said with disdain in his tone.
Without saying anything Alexander began his walk to the master's chamber's
Adion was coming to check on the town and castle under the ownership of Duke Von Elzon. It was big, it had plenty of slaves, and it was greedy. Everyone was greedy, excluding the slaves who lived only to serve. Not a merchant in the town would giver you a good deal, guards were quick to abuse their powers at the sight of a single gold coin, and the taxes seemed outrageous. The only thing that seemed to hold the whole place together was the sound of gold changing hands.
While hiding out among the crowd, Adion saw a short and rather strong looking man walk through with no resistance from the private, and the only ones who did't seem effected by gold, guards of the duke. Adion decided to follow him into the castle, maintaining the disruption in his field. He wouldn't want to get noticed, because he would have to wait for his field to stabilize to use any of his other magic.
His silence had allowed him to learn who 'Owned' this town and the Castle, along with the one who had ordered the slaughter of his home just so he could expand his lands and greed. "Not just lands but slaves as well. For as he had moved through his home town he had not seen a few of the girls he had watch grow into lovely girls and some boys that had been showing a side of beauty that only seemed to enhance their own looks. "Talley and Alidia being among them." he growled lowly as he watched, listened and waited.
Snorting softly Selphral shook his head eyes glittering as he curbed the urge to kill the laughing man, his silver gold with just a hint of green, glowed from the shadows where he stood his sword attached to his back while his hair hung loose down his back, oddly enough free of tangles and knots. "Even here corruption is eating at the lives that haunt this region." he stated softly, his voice smooth as silk but low with just a hint of huskiness, indicating that he rarely speaks.
As he watched the scene continue he saw the blacksmith being accosted by another than change his direction around and head up a well traveled walkway towards the Castle that seemed to tower over the town like a Master towering over his slaves. Selph's eyes narrowed as he waited and watched only to snap his to behind the blacksmith his eyes narrowing knowing he had caught an odd fluctuation in the air and new that something was disrupting the natural order of the air, something he had to learn to understand as his own fire ability did the same, as did his ability to clone. "What or who are you?" he wondered softly as he slipped through the shadows following both the blacksmith and the disruption through the town and up towards the Castle.
When entering the castle, Adion shot to the walls and their shadows, still maintaining a following distance from the blacksmith. Adion could help but think of whether or not he would kill the Duke, but that was yet to be determined. The disruption made sword combat easier, but his other magics were better for that. Of course, he could always strike when the man was defenseless. That had to be the best way.
Mentally mapping out the area he was in as he followed silently his boots silent without a whisper of sound, something his father had taught him to do while hunting, his hair swaying behind him as it brushed across his ass with each movement, eyes constantly roaming and his hearing picking up the nearly silent pattering of feet as the servants moved and the voices of others drifted to him from open doorways and hallways.
