Her eyes have that foggy look to them and she wears sunglasses in hopes to look more like a normal person.
Personality: Britta is a kind girl that tries to be very helpful when she can. She tries to look at the positives in life which a lot of people find difficult to believe due to her âconditionâ. In her mind, though, being blind isnât something bad. She looks as it in the light of thatâs how God wanted her to be and so she needs to be happy with it. She has exceptional hearing which she figures makes up for her being blind. She does, unfortunately, become sad and depressed which is actually coming to be more frequent with her and sheâs not even sure why.

People treating her like sheâs a freak
People saying that they are so sorry that sheâs blind
Being all alone and itâs dead silent. (It scares her to death actually since hearing is how she gets around.)
People treating her like sheâs different from them
Likes:
The feel of the rain on her skin along with the smell of the rain
The musical sounds of the streets and outdoors
People that donât judge her because she is blind
Being treated like a regular person
History: Britta remembers being able to see for some time in her life, but those memories are very few due to her going blind at the young age of 3. All she remembers of that are small pointless things like walking outside with her father and seeing green grass and the blue sky. Another memory of hers is being at the market with her mother and seeing all the different colors of fruits and vegetables. One of her biggest memories though is of her climbing up onto the counter to get a cookie her mother just baked and she slipped and fell. She remembers and still occasionally feels the sharp pain of her hitting her head. She remembers the world slowly going black and then she couldnât see anything anymore. The doctors told her parents that they couldnât do anything to help their daughter with her blindness and so Britta grew up being blind. She hated it through out school and has just in recent years learned to accept it. Also her home is Ireland, she's in England right now for school.
