"I'm the fun one"

In an ideal world, August could be described in one word, however this is not ideal. It's a intricate web of fuckery, thus making it nearly impossible to describe this man in such a simple and mundane manner. August is a plethora of things, a melting pot of personalities so to speak. He is an energetic lad that is full of potential that he's never lived up to. He has the ability to think rational, but where's the fun in that. Since when was logic entertaining? He believes in having a good time no matter what the circumstances are. He's the immature prankster that can ace a test and not tell a soul, the playboy with a 4.0 GPA, and the genius that everyone thought wouldn't amount to anything. He wastes his mind on booze and women because intellect isn't amusing. August is very open minded and is known to accept anyone's baggage...well, almost anyone. "Harboring dead bodies is where I draw the line." His parents know that their son is bright, but he just refuses to hone his brilliance. So, they compare him to his sister in an attempt to encourage him, but it only makes August resent Summer. He looks at her and sees competition for their parent's affection. She's their little ray of sunshine and he's the after thought; the black sheep. He can almost say that he hates Summer to an extent.

August is also the type of person that would abuse the power given to him. He sees magic as pure fun and games, a step up from being just human. It's the perfect instrument for a good prank and the ideal tool for the lazy. He barely takes anything seriously, seeing as he views the entire world as one big joke. It's hard to get him to focus on anything for long periods of time, you'll be lucky if he's even listening to anything your saying. August has a one track mind, but when the time comes to actually be serious, he's on it. He shifts from the playful prankster to the man his parents have been pushing him to be.

August drowns his issues with the potent liquid know as alcohol. It is his serum, the remedy the helps him forget the world, but the aftermath of drinking is what he dreads most. So, in place of drinking, August found refuge in various over-the-counter drugs. They get him through the day, through life's hardships. He depends on the pill like a child depending on his mother. August can't even face his family, take a test, do homework, or go to work without taking the little white pill.

|Hobbies|

August's hobbies consists of mainly brunettes, blondes, and the occasional red head. When he isn't beneath the sheets with some girl, August can be found bobbing his head to music as he listens to his IPhone. There are times when he likes to engage in sports such as football, basketball, and even baseball to maintain a physique that can catch the ladies eye.

Regarding his habit, August has a bad habit of cursing like a sailor. It just comes out without him really thinking about it. He also tends to sing (rather badly) aloud when he's listening to music, bobbing his head and dancing flamboyantly without shame. Not to mention that fact that August has the worse timing. He usually says the wrong thing at the wrong times.

August is allergic to bullshit, plain and simple. He also is highly allergic to bees and nuts. Despite popular belief, it is possible for an African American man to dislike rap music. "I know, shocker." But August hates today's Hip Hop and Rap genres, seeing it as meaningless shit that glorifies all of the wrong things and sets impossible standard for today's youth. "Don't get me started, just don't."

Other than the normal secrets that most teenagers keep from their parents like drinking and having sex, August is harboring one lie that's been slowly gnawing at him. He has found himself depending on drugs to get through his day. It started out with just a pill to keep him alert as he studied, but then that pill became his life. He's been taking narcotics religiously, claiming that it will help him get through his work...but will it?

|History|

August's childhood did not consist of loving hugs and piggyback rides, more like demons and ghosts. He was beating down the baddies since he was twelve. During his time in the Salem household, August was pushed to be the best he could be, however, not being one for authority, August continued to let his father down on more than one occasion. It didn't help that he felt the need to constantly rebel. When he wasn't protecting the town from things that go bump in the night, he was acting out; stealing every now and again, vandalizing, and when he was in the best of moods, he'd shave the neighbor's cat. Per usual, his father wasn't cheering and patting him on the back for committing crime after crime. It was clear to him that he'd never really be close with his family and August learned to accept that. He doesn't consider any of the Salems his family, for he has disowned them. He doesn't want to be a protector of the town, he wishes to live it up without responsibilities. Live like a normal human despite the fact that he thinks the perks of having powers is fun.

Now, August is going through college and is trying in vain to avoid any one of his family members, especially his sister, Summer. He has resented her since the first day their father seemed to favor her. When they were children, he'd terrorize her, but now he makes an effort to keep his distance. The farther they are from one another, the less people can compare him to her. Although life had not turned out the way August had planned, he still tries to live without regrets and so far, he only has one.
