【Be On The Lookout For...】
“No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace as I have seen in one autumnal face.”

5'3", 119lbs
☞Eye and Hair Color☜
Her right eye is a mossy green and her left is hazel like her brother's. Her hair is naturally jet black, though she's been known to dye it.
☞Description☜
Summer isn't as tall as her brother, father, or mother. She has her grandmother Tituba's short stature, but she is still fit like the others. Her skin is darker than her brother's and mother's, though not quite as dark as her father's; Her complexion is smooth and its color could be compared to the bark of a healthy oak tree. Her hair is long like her mother's, always neatly trimmed so that it dangles just above her waist.
☞Special Markings☜
She has plenty of small and even large scars from her adventurous hikes and camping trips. She has her ears pierced and her tongue as well. Tattoos? Her entire back and right arm is covered with a somewhat darkly themed scene, an antipossession seal hidden within the scene.
☞Extras and Fashion☜
Summer isn't one for high fashion. That being said, she prefers to dig through thrift shops and the racks at Walmart for her outfits rather than taking off to the mall or importing her outfits.

☞Habits☜
Summer doesn't eat most food. Okay, she eats a lot of food, but she won't eat it unless it doesn't contain man-made chemicals or asparagus. She is also obsessive about her diet and figure due to her younger, larger years. She's prone to adventurous campaigns through the forest, always finding a reason to ditch work. It's a wonder she hasn't been fired yet. She's also prone to looking a bit...grungy. Dirt under her nails and smudged on her face and clothes, leaves in her hair and burs stuck to her clothes. She only ever dresses "nice" for school, work, parties, and Coven meets.
☞Fears and Phobias☜
Nihilophobia (Nothingness) She once accidentally trapped herself as a tree without being able to smell, see, hear, move, or talk. Since then, she has feared complete silence, darkness, and immobility. Osmophobia (Bad smells) When she was younger, there were frat boys in town that had heard the local legend of her family being inhuman and decided to stink bomb her and the others every time they saw them until they were forced to stop. She freaks out at the smell of stink bombs ever since among another few bad scents. Monophobia (Being alone) She never has been one to handle complete aloneness and has always needed a companion with her, even if it's an animal. Dentophobia (Dentists) She ate a lot of candy as a child and the dentist's hand slipped once and jabbed her tongue instead of her gums. Lipophobia and Obesophobia (Fatty foods and being fat) From the ages of four to eight, she was a bit on the pudgy side. She hated her lack of stamina, strength, and constant craving for foods. So she shaped up and since then has changed her diet and workout regime. Taphophobia (Being buried alive) She was caught in a mudslide once and if it weren't for her brother and their magick, she might have died.
☞Aspirations☜
Ultimate enlightenment
She wants to become closer to the deities of nature and achieve the same enlightenment as they have. She is on a constant search for knowledge, studying the Book of Shadows from her ancestors.
☞Secrets☜
Dark side
While she normally seems all sunshine, rainbows, bunnies, and flowers, Summer has lately been dabbling in Dark Magic. She fails at it completely, as it's just not in her to do so. Her window of opportunity passed.
☞Personality☜
Summer has many different sides to her, though her dominant personality traits are nurturing and spirited. When she's not studying or working, she enjoys helping people. Whether it's mowing their lawn, tutoring them, or babysitting. She's down. When she's not doing any of that, she enjoys hanging out with her friends at a party or hiking. Her hiking trips usually end up becoming camping trips. The girl has a spirit that can't be tamed, though not in the modern teenager sense. She sort of hates people who are drunk druggies with nothing going for them that claim they're just free spirits. Anyways, she sees a free spirit as someone who is of their own mind. Not the least bit a follower, making their own path in life. While she does believe in destiny, she doesn't fight it. It's destiny for a reason; Fighting it just makes things unnecessarily complicated. She's found herself in a scrap or two outside of the usual paranormal supernatural weekend fights, mostly with girls from town. She doesn't like fighting them, though. She tries her best not to engage in any sort of fight with humans, thinking it to be petty to fight with the weaker species even if they started it. She is not opposed to every now and again tormenting them though. She's mostly a pacifist, almost fulfilling her nature child stereotype. She has physical prowess, no doubt. She just prefers to prevent things from getting to the point where fisticuffs is declared. She comes off as a bit sensitive sometimes, mostly concerning her brother. She does care for him as much as she can, but he makes it hard. He gets to her more than anyone else does but she doesn't let it bother her too much. Or at least she tries not to. Finally, Summer is passionate. Especially about the more delicate side of life. Cooking, singing, dancing, magick, and the such like. She loves being a Witch and uses her magick every day, believing it to be a crime that Witches have to hide what they are because the rise of Christianity programmed hatred and fear into the hearts and minds of people, making them shun the unknown and more powerful. While not much of a hater, she isn't a fan of Christian religions. She doesn't like prejudice and they ooze it. She's only just learned to put up with attending a Roman-Catholic college.

― John Lubbock
Summer's Power manifested itself from her innermost self. The formal name for it is Ecokinesis; Summer is connected directly and can communicate, influence, manipulate and control plants and animals and mimic their forms. Because she can communicate with nature itself, she becomes instantly familiar with his surroundings, never being lost in a foreign, non-city area. The connection is so deep that the flora and fauna around her respond to her emotions. She can purify, heal and generally influence the health of nature. And considering the fact that she's helping the environment, plants and animals act favorably towards her. Now, she can't make plants burst from everywhere willy nilly. She needs seeds or present plants to work with them. And she cannot turn into plants. She tried to turn into a tree once was stuck like that for two days until her parents found her. As far as animal shifting, she can only turn into an animal that she's eaten the meat of before. Her list of conspicuous animals is rather small; A black cat, a pitbull, a crow, and a fox. Others include cow, chicken, pig, goat, and various fish.

【A Glimpse Into The Past...】
“Our task must be to free ourselves... by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and it's beauty.”
― Albert Einstein
It was late in the Summer when the gypsy de la Vegas moved to Easton, Massachusetts. The three founding families of Easton were almost legend among the pure witches for escaping the Salem Witch Trials unscathed and surviving the war of Easton after several Witches moved there and tried to oust the families for political power over the town. Luna de la Vega had never imagined that she would fall in love with and marry John Salem Junior, the son of Tituba and John Salem Senior. But she did. Her mother opened a florist shop in town and John Junior was there frequently to purchase herbs and roots for his mother as she reached her final years. One day, she finally asked him out to dinner. He was hesitant, nearly crushing her spirit when he turned her down several times. He would always simply tell her that she wasn't his type. She pursued him for nearly 3 years before giving up. But Fate had another plan. After the death of his parents, John ventured into the forest to spread his parents' ashes and came across Luna in the forest as she hunted for more herbs for her shop and her rituals, witnessing her chat with a squirrel, convincing it to bring down for her the highest acorn on the tree for a Spring ritual. He had no idea that she was a Witch as well, making her laugh. Her family was rather skilled at hiding what they were in plain sight. John admitted that he previously turned her down because he hadn't believed her to be a Witch, much less a pure Hereditary Witch. He was starting to fear that he would be forced to end up with one of those crazy Andover sisters to keep the Salem family bloodline pure as well. But Fate had brought him Luna. It was immediately that they begun to date before falling madly in love and getting married at a young age. Then, she got pregnant with twins. They were absolutely ecstatic about it. They were even happier when they're twins were born under the Full Moon of Samhain in the year of 1992. They knew their children were going to be special. Enter August and summer Salem. This is summer's side of her story. Summer was always a sweet child, even as an infant. As she grew into a toddler, she became more theatrical in nature and spirited like her parents. She was five but her parents began to teach her and her brother how to control and use that magick that was ingrained in that every molecule. They were also homeschooled due to their magick being so volatile at their age – It wouldn't be a very good luck on the family if one of the twins got angry and pinned everyone to ceiling or exploded all of the markers. No already enough rumors and legends surrounding the three families of Easton. Summer didn't seem to take to anything in particular at first, simply fascinated with anything and everything that her parents taught her, hardly sitting through a single lesson without wanting to move on to the next. Her mother decided to teach summer patience and emotional control through the same thing that Nona de la Vega used for an eccentric and flighty Luna; Gardening. Summer took to it like a fish to water and was soon excelling and Green and White Magicks, potion brewing, and healing. She became less theatrical, though much more adventurous and still just as sweet. That was, until she began attending public school. “Where's your broomstick and warts? I bet you worship the devil. My mom says your family come from heathens, do you dance naked in the woods on Halloween night? Do you see dead people? I bet you can't even cast a spell on me.” The other children teased her and laughed at her. She consoled herself through gorging on junk food and candy, growing larger and larger, eventually pulled out of school by her parents when a boy teasing her began to choke on a bee that had "conveniently" flew into his mouth when she began to raise her voice and threatened him. The bee stung his throat from the inside and he was hospitalized for three weeks. Summer remained round until she was about 10 years old when she regained her confidence and grew tired of the way she felt; always depressed, stamina draining constantly, always hungry, and constantly having toothaches and migraines. After being teased about her heritage and weight, being pegged by rotting eggs, and laughed at, she decided that it was time for a change. Her adventurous and independent spirit returned and she began to drop the weight and studied harder. She developed a fear of growing large again and developed a rather severe phobia of processed foods. She didn't eat anything that didn't have all-natural ingredients in it, though she would still religiously eat candy surprisingly enough. She was 12 when her weight was back to normal and she returned to school, walking into the joint every day like she owned the place. Nothing and nobody was going to get her down because she realized those two years ago that she was better than them. Tease as they may, she was capable of things that they couldn't even begin to fathom she was going to outlive them and their children and their grandchildren and so on and so forth. See was a Witch and she was proud of it. With her new physique, she joined the school's cheerleading and soccer teams and rose to popularity and the position of team captain, though she kept them all and arm's-length from her heart. Why should she suddenly forgive them for causing her such pain, constantly talking about her and her family and her real friends behind their backs? No, they were simply people she would socialize with at parties and sporting events. Tools, if you will. There were very few that she considered good, close friends outside of the Easton Trinity Coven. As she grew into her Power, she began to experiment with her limitations. Doing so, she developed yet another phobia after turning herself into an oak sapling. Had it not been for her parents, she's not quite sure that she ever would have turned back for lack of ability. She also accidentally caused a mudslide in the forest with her brother was buried alive for nearly 5 minutes; she was lucky that her brother saved her. After those mishaps along with a few others, she decided to stick with strengthening the abilities she knew she had. She was also particularly gifted with divination, though she was not very good with reading tea leaves or invoking visions. She was better with Tarot cards, palmistry, and dream interpretations, like her mother and Nona de la Vega. Reading tea leaves and trying to invoke visions were simply lost on her. Through her life of school, adventuring, partying, thrift shop rummaging, and chastity, she became rather fascinated with the history of magick, mythology, and art. After she graduated from high school she made plans to go to college. She wasn't keen on attending her parents' alma mater, Stonehill University. It was right there in town, but it was a Roman-Catholic school. She was generally rather accepting of other religions, believing that everyone has the right to worship whatever they wanted. However, she did have an issue with the beliefs and rules found within the Bible and wasn't too keen on how judgmental and self-righteous most Christians were. Besides, she was more of a nature worshiper. But, she still didn't want to venture away from her family and her friends were going to Stonehill, so she caved. She is now in her Junior year, Majoring in Art History and Minoring in Dance, again part of the cheerleadering squad, avoiding the religious classes and choosing to live off-campus with hopes of graduating and curating the art museum.

So what'd you know about sacrifice when the lights go out?
The price to pay when you're digging down
The skin of your teeth and the pain in your back

Write it off as criminal, a place to cast a stone
On and on we carry on when one is not enough
We are the ones who were born to rise
We are the ones with the fire inside
I go to war with the brothers I trust
