Takeo Kukai's Story

"Alright, thanks Tenno," Akono replied and looked around. Besides himself and Tenno, there seemed to be...six survivors, he counted, finishing his package of food, then going into the locker room and taking a long, hot shower. He also took that opportunity to clean his dagger. He smiled when there was not a spot of red to be found anywhere on the blade, a silver, almost new appearance took the dagger. He dried off, then put on a different shirt, but kept the same jeans. Finally done, he walked over to where the others were and sat down. "So...what's up, you guys, besides the ceiling and our chances of death today?" he asked, cheerfully. This was always how he acted when around other people in a very dangerous time. Cracking jokes, trying to keep the spirit light around. Hopefully, it'd work.

After that comment, not caring enough to laugh at the joke, the group all fell into a slumber. Tenno dreamed of his weekends that he spent out on the country side with his family when he was little. He was walking around a town with his father, speaking of old ways. "There are many things to value in life and life is one of them" Gishin explained to his son. "Some will try to take it, some will try to control, some may try to free it, but it ultimately needs to be guarded. Do you understand this son?" Tenno nodded. "Why father?" At this Gishin merely smiled. "Life is a precious. Love your neighbors and protect them with your life. Honor your ancestors by being honorable yourself. That is a man's code that he should live by." He told Tenno as they walked on to the hot springs.

Tenno awoke, looked outside the window, seeing that it was late morning. He went to the bags that Airi brought back for some breakfast while he watched the hallways outside the door. He finished his apple when he heard the horde. There was yelling down the halls, vibrating the building there were so many. Tenno rushed inside the Gym and yelled to the sleeping group. "Up! Up! They're coming!"

Airi fell asleep after everyone else and dreamed of being home with her beloved pets and her new rag tag team, relaxing after some big important mission. It was a sight she hoped to see. Zombies really bond people together. She laughed in her dream and leaned in to kiss her new boyfriend,-

"Up! Up! They're coming!"

shot up at Tenno's yells. "How many!?" she asked, grabbing her bag and slinging it on her back. She rooted through the bags to find something to eat. She pulled out a can of soda and downed it. "Ya know what? Doesn't matter..." She tossed the can into the trash and sighed. She went back for an apple and looked at the one awake. "Look, we need to move. We've rested so now we gotta move."

Lazarus was dreaming about nothing. It was just one of those dreams where your thoughts were just out of reach. He rolled around in his slumber, twisting about like a coiling and uncoiling snake. Suddenly, his thoughts came to him and he leaped up in fear, cold sweat coating his skin as he heard Tenno's frantic shouting. Lazarus swung his feet over the side of the table and stood, gripping his Bat and heading over ot the window. He looked outside, noticing the massive amount of zombies that were approaching. He looked back over to Mokou and dashed to her side, nudging her and trying to wake her up. She stirred soon enough, and looked at him quizzically. "There's a massive horde coming, do you think you can walk?". Mokou sighed and spoke back. "Yeah, but probably not very fast". Lazarus chuckled and grabbed her, slinging her over his shoulder and grinning. "Lucky for me, you're pretty darn light". Lazarus then went back over to Tenno and the others, and spoke. "I agree with Airi. If we don't move now, we mightn't be able to move at all". He turned to the girl and asked in a slightly demanding voice; "So, where do we go now?".

Airi thought about it. "I'd suggest moving to high ground but we don't have any guns..." She looked at Tenno's gun. "Well, not enough for everyone." She shoved the food bags into her own. "I say we move locations. Tenno, are there any sheds or closets with any sort of nail gun? I can use that to make a gun" She asked the boy, shifting her bag. "That way, if you do run out you can switch." Then she reached into her bag and pulled out a couple grenades. She walked to Laz's back and held out the blue bombs to Mokou. "Wanna help me blow those bastards sky high?" she asked with a slight grin.

"Ya theres a shed filled with construction supplies by the dorms. I guess they were planning to add on to it, bet you know that's not going to happen." He replied back as he quickly rushed to get his things from the packpack. Tenno then began to lock the doors while setting up his IEDs at the same time. After the first three were set up in two minutes he yelled back to Airi. "You know how you were taking about the Triads bomb specialization? Well your about to catch a first hand view." He howlered at the rest of the group. "Alright we need to get down to the ground from the window. We'll use the climbing rope to get down by tying it to the metal pole near the window" He indicated to the window. "Now Airi you need to lay your grenades all over the floor for a large area effect once they come in. I will be the last one down because I set my phone as the detonator." He pulls out his phone to show. "We'll have to get clear away from the building because the explosion will destroy this building along with a lot of the zombies. Got it!?"

Akono froze in place when he heard that another zombie horde was coming. I just got done with these bastards! he thought as he slowly got up, his arm still hurting. He hoped he didn't have to fight any more of those...minions from Hell. He just had to use the dagger well enough to survive. Possible? Probably not. Akono once again froze up when he heard Tenno's plan. He looked at the one called Airi and noticed the grenades. What the H-E-double hockey sticks? Who were these people...and why did one of them have a ton of grenades? Where did he even GET grenades?! And he thought bringing a dagger to this academy for decoration was bad. But he had no choice. So long as he didn't do any of the fighting he would go with anything...even if it would ruin the face of this school for possibly a lifetime. He laughed at this. The ZOMBIES already did that. He began to get closer to the window that Tenno motioned to. "Got it," he finally answered Tenno's question.

Airi gripped one in her mouth and laughed. Bandit had crawled on her shoulders and was hissing at the door. "You had me at grenades, dear!" she sang and tossed a few to the red head. "Help out." she told him before she started tossing pinned grenades on the floor, giving each a gentle kiss. "You had better repay me for this, Ten-ten! These are my children, ya know!" she yelled, pulling out a popsicle and Yuj. She revved the chainsaw before she moved closer to the window. "Give the signal, oyabun!"

Akono was shocked when a girl tossed grenades to him. Gah, what kind of high school was this? People running around with friggin' grenades and other stuff. Who knew what the other survivors had. He watched how the girl placed her grenades and did it in the exact same way, then ran to the window to where they were hopefully going to make their escape. The horde was now very close and Akono was now very scared. "Do it now!" he shouted, letting his fear take over his voice, but he still held on to that little shred of sanity telling him to NOT jump out of the window yet.

Lazarus grinned as the horde seemed to be closing in on them. He shifted Mokou's weight on his shoulder, and walked over to Akono. "Hmm, have we met before?". Before Akono could reply, Mokou lifted her head up and glanced at him. "Yeah, Akono or something. Dunno if we've met before, but I know your name. Nice to meet ya, name's Mokou. But uhh, we've got more important things to deal with right now, so we'll save the introductions for later, alright?".Lazarus laughed, and stepped back, hefting his bat with his usable hand. "Well, if they break through, I'm dropping you first. Tenno, I expect you to catch her, alright?".

Lazarus grinned as he heard the horde closing in. "Seems like this'll be getting interesting, eh Mokou?".

The horde broke in. Hundreds poured in through the door sweeping through the gym. Ten seconds later they covered fifty percent, in fifteen seconds they covered seventy five percent. Farthest from the group he would have to run to get there. "Now! Jump Now!" he cried out to the group as he ran for the window to slide out down the window. Tenno took care that his detonator would not be harmed during the short fall. The building would crash down as soon as everybody got down to the ground.

With a cry, Akono leaped for the window, grabbing the bar and sliding down. He didn't want to be in there any longer than he had to. The moment his feet touched ground, he sprinted away from the gym, hoping to not be within the blast. That gym was going to come down and he didn't feel like being buried today...in both a literal and figurative sense. On the bright side, it would eliminate a number of zombies, he thought, trying to find a bright spot in this entire ordeal. Then they could go to the shed and he'd have something more than a dagger. Yeah...he could use a few chainsaws.

Airi hopped down and followed the red haired kid, laughing wildly. "Make this thing go boom!" she laughed, sprinting. She pulled out her chainsaws and revved them. She saw one behind the kid and jumped, stabbing the moving chainsaw into its skull. Bandit clung to her shoulder and she tugged it out of the body. "Watch ya back or I'll do it for ya." she said to the kid, looking around. "Look there's the site. Let's go." she took off for the obvious construction site.

Tenno hit the ground last, rolling so that he would not hurt his legs. Then he sprinted 20 meters ahead before he hit the call button on his cell phone. It ringed for five seconds before the explosion set off, destroying the entire gym. He stood there for a moment with his gun out just taking in the sight. It smelled like burning flesh now that the wind picked up.

"Look there's the site. Let's go." Tenno looked to where Airi was talking about and began jogging there with her.
