Description

Marionette

Age
14, nearly 15.

Role
Experiment 5.

Gender
Female

Number Code
6791250

Partner
Grimm

Instructor
Xander

Personality
Marionette is, quite simply, a genuinely nice person. While she is rather distant and somewhat sad at times, if you're her friend, you can expect her undying loyalty and kindness. She does her best to be cheerful around other people and to protect those she cherishes, no matter what she has to do in the process. However, she is also at a crisis of who she is, and of what she should do, and if she is, perhaps, more than just a blind servant of Father...

Crush/Relationship Status
?

Are You Broken?
Undecided. While she does not particularly like killing for Father, she also does not wish to die, or have her friends suffer for her own failures.

Power
Power to give life to inanimate objects. She favors animating lengths of razor sharp, extraordinarily thin steel wire concealed within her long, silvery hair and her clothing, allowing Marionette to weaponize her strings, so to speak, to deadly effect. She will also, however, animate more sapient things, such as mannequins or dolls, when she doesn't want to get her hands dirty. Marionette is also incredibly agile and speedy to a superhuman extent due to her having the brilliant idea to actually animate her clothes and use them as a sort of suit of powered armor.

Weakness
Marionette hates the sight of blood due to a rather traumatic incident in her past, which is why she favors weapons that spill very little of it on the outside. Her power's weakness is that while she specializes in animating and controlling many things at once with little cost to herself, any pain felt by these objects is transmitted back to her mind en masse the moment she removes the life from the animated object, or when it is destroyed. If too many of her puppets were destroyed at once, it is quite likely that she would suffer a heart attack from the shock. This is the reason why she favors razor wires, which when cut are little more painful than having a hair plucked from her head. The more humanoid her puppets become, however, the more pain they are capable of feeling, making their additional functionality a double edged sword.

Appearance Description
Marionette stands at about five foot six, with a very slender, somewhat developed physique belying her actual age. With smooth, pale skin, orange-brown eyes and long silver hair, she looks like an innocent - albeit rather unusual - young girl. Concealed within her hair and wrapped around her body, however, are several lengths of razor thin steel wire which she can animate at will to attack targets. Her tight blue shirt and white pants are no exception, for they too can be animated at will to enhance her every movement. Not much to say, really.

Crime
Marionette's crime is something she hardly remembers, probably due to trauma induced amnesia. Although her life was fairly normal, she had the misfortune of being attacked one day on the way back from school, viciously beaten and molested - and would have been killed if not for the timely arrival of the police, and the capture of her assailants after a brief chase. Although the police assured her justice would be done, something broke inside her that day. When she was called to the station to identify the perpetrators, she suddenly snatched a gun from the belt of one of the police standing guard, and shot each of the prisoners she could before she was tackled and restrained. Each of her victims was shot twice - first in the crotch, then in the head. She would have followed this by killing herself from despair, but she was tackled and disarmed before then. All she remembers of this whole chain of incidents is the blood... so much blood. Her blood at the scene of the rape, and her victims' blood painting the walls of the cell where she killed them, thus giving her a deathly fear of it.

Other
Marionette likes to draw pictures in her spare time, and is trusted enough to sometimes be allowed to cook her own food due to her incredible culinary skills and love of doing so. She also likes reading books, but avoids both the romance genre and vampire genre with a passion, due to the uncomfortable associations with her past striking an unnerving chord within her.

EDIT: Also, 16. I knew I forgot to put something in here.

Komm SΓΌsser Tod
I know, I know I've let you down
I've been a fool to myself
I thought that I could
live for no one else
But now through all the hurt & pain

It's time for me to respect
the ones you love
mean more than anything

So with sadness in my heart
(I) feel the best thing I could do
is end it all
and leave forever

what's done is done it feels so bad
what once was happy now is sad
I'll never love again
my world is ending

I wish that I could turn back time
cos now the guilt is all mine
can't live without
the trust from those you love
I know we can't forget the past
you can't forget love & pride
because of that, it's killin' me inside

It all returns to nothing, it all comes
tumbling down, tumbling down,
tumbling down
It all returns to nothing, I just keep
letting me down, letting me down,
letting me down

In my heart of hearts
I know that I called never love again
I've lost everything
everything
everything that matters to me, matters
in this world

I wish that I could turn back time
cos now the guilt is all mine
can't live without
the trust from those you love
I know we can't forget the past
you can't forget love & pride
because of that, it's kill'in me inside

It all returns to nothing, it just keeps
tumbling down, tumbling down,
tumbling down
It all returns to nothing, I just keep
letting me down, letting me down,
letting me down
It all returns to nothing, it just keeps
tumbling down, tumbling down,
tumbling down
It all returns to nothing, I just keep
letting me down, letting me down,
letting me down

Report to the training room on floor six. Report to the training room on floor six. Report to the training room on floor six.

The command rang through Marionette's silver-haired head over and over again. She wasn't a fool. Although it sounded paranoid of her, she was fairly sure she was walking right into a trap. Who wouldn't have come to that conclusion in her place? She had awoken in a mysterious mansion with no memories and razor sharp metal wire tied into her hair, been told by a mysterious man who claimed to be her father than she had some kind of "power," and now was being sent in for "training." As of yet, she wasn't quite sure what she was supposed to be doing, which only made her all the more worried that something bad was going to happen behind the door ahead of her.

Still, she hadn't come without any preparations at all. She knew her "power" had something to do with the strange metal wires she had found in her hair. She had been given some extra wire "in case she ran out," which confirmed her suspicions. Consequently, she had spent the past half hour meticulously winding thick bandages around her upper torso, over which she had wrapped herself in the wire. Best have it on hand if things went south, she reasoned. Even if she couldn't find out exactly what her "power" did, or use it properly, the wire might at least serve as a sort of armor if worst came to worst. And, if Marionette could work out exactly how to use the wire properly, she might just stand a chance of lasting long enough to discover where she was, who she was, and what she was doing here.

But first she would have to survive.

Marionette

Marionette waited outside the door, reluctant to enter the training room. It seemed that she was the first one here. If it really was some sort of trap designed to test her, she rather disliked the idea of going in first, and alone. It would make her the sole and unsuspecting target of whatever was on the other side, rendering her vulnerable. If she didn't have any indication of what the trap was, it would surely be able to eliminate her before she could react. However, if she waited like this, she might fail whatever test this was anyway. In the end, there was only one option: enter the door.

So, slowly, painstakingly, she put a hand on the knob. She opened the door, and swung it open, then dived to the side, as though expecting some sort of projectile to be sent flying at her as soon as the door was opened. No such attack came, so she took a glance around the door frame before swinging her head back, in case there was some sort of delay. It looked safe enough, but looks could be deceiving. Still, there was only one thing she could do. She was a marionette, only moving where she was told to. Her strings had been pulled, and she had been commanded to enter the room. It was the only thing she could do, the only thing her nature would allow her to do. So reluctantly, she followed the movements of her strings, and took a careful step inside, her copper eyes scanning the room quickly. It looked to be... some kind of forest? This supposed "training room" didn't seem to be much of a place for an indoor garden. Was it some sort of simulation? She couldn't tell. Either way, it was a bad place to be when you didn't know what else was inside with you. There was a great deal of cover, meaning an ambush could be hidden almost anywhere. She didn't like this. She didn't like this one bit. She stopped just inside the door, not wanting to be cut off from the exit in case something happened.

"So... Who's in here?" She asked coolly, looking around, wary of every tiny aspect of the room. "I doubt I'd have been called here unless there was someone for me to meet."

Grimm

The morning sun shone in through the sole window that peered into the outside, and a young blue jay perched on the branch of the gorgeous tree in full bloom, covering the tree in white flowers like snow in the middle of winter. The naive bird, curious, peered in through the window, wondering what sort of being would only desire a single window.
A muttering figure sat transfixed on the floor, unanimated. Sitting in the only chair provided in the room, it's back was faced almost directly in the direction of the lonely portal. The sun scattered the shadows to the four corners of the room. The shadows seemed to willingly comply to the sun's intrusion, as if they were hiding from the beams of light on their own accord.
"Where is it... where is it... where is it..." The figure muttered over and over again as it kept it's eyes glued to the floor in front of it. Not a shadow was revealed in the sun's presence, with the exception of the shadows of the furniture. The chair, in this shadow world, remained empty. Void of any being or other object. The bird took a short flight onto the windowsill, where it peered in to get a better look.
What the bird couldn't see was the darkened shadows creeping up on the wall, devouring the meager amount of light that the window had allowed to reach the wall it stood on. As soon as they reached the edges of the window, they sat there, waiting for the prey to move it close enough for it to devour it in much the same fashion as the light, slowly, painfully, drawing out it's eternal light force that kept it moving.
The bird took a step into the window, attempting to see what the figure was staring at, and if, in the good naivety of nature, it could do anything to help.
A tear slid down the cheek of the figure, still dwelling on where its own shadow disappeared to, trying to remember the life before the constant tests, mental, physical, and experimental.
All of a sudden, the bird flew off, hitting the glass once. The child turned and looked at the noise, snapping out of his stupor. The shadows had fully retreated back to the corner it had drawn from, saddened that they couldn't devour their prey, though had it within their grasp. The child stood up, shaking slightly from the experience of the startling noise, he shook his head and looked around. The room was smaller than the one he could see through the mirror door, with a lightly laden bed, a single dresser, and a single chair. His eyes caught sight of his name tag. A white sign hanging from the front of his bed with black letters etched into the wood that read Grimm hid a small clipboard with various notes and graphs and numbers that made no sense to the child. The other room seemed to not have such a name tag, in fact, as Grimm peeked into the opposing room, it was vastly different. And he thought it was just a mirror for his own room. He shook his head as he felt something nudging him towards the door. He sat back down in his chair and refused to move.
The nudging got harder and harder until he had his arms wrapped around his head muttering, "Make it stop, make it stop." His head was pounding as the voice got louder and louder.

It all stopped. He was enveloped in blackness. The voice no longer shouted in his head, but other noises started to sound. Squawks, grunts, shuffling. Something shot out across his vision, and for a split second, he saw a dark line cross his field of vision. He jumped back, almost falling off of his chair. He caught himself, but he could still hear the noises, still feel like a thousand eyes were directed all at him. He curled up in a fetal position, returning to begging for it all to stop.

It did. The darkness was removed and he found himself staring at the back of a tree. He blinked and just sat down, not wanting to move after that awful experience.

Boo

A woman's voice announced they reached the sixth floor and the 'jaws of despair' finally released Boo's ponytail. "Youuuu....evil...", she squinted at where she thought the woman's voice came from.

"You're the one controlling this monster aren't you? Come out wherever you are!", Boo suspiciously looked around the elevator,"Or are you the monster itself?" Then she noticed the the silver-haired "girl" had already gone out. She gave the elevator a kick and yelled "Ha! Take that!" and ran off in the training room.

"Wowowowow....", Boo breathed as she stepped inside. It was all so fascinating. How did the forest get here? Are there bears and mooses? Oh wait, they're only in Canada. Were there werewolves and vampires? Oh wait, that was only in Twilight. Anyways, as far as her eyes could see, she saw trillions of trees that seemed to reach the sky and a kaboodle of plants and mosses that covered the entire ground. All around was green, green, and green. Sunlight escaped through the roof of leaves above and touched the earth as beams of light while the rest remained in the shadows. The place seemed to have some sort of eerie but ethereal quality to it, like a setting for a hazy peaceful nightmare.

"Woohoo!", Boo quickly explored the area, examining everything. Climbing up trees, then falling back down, sniffing the moss, chewing some leaves, and lifting rocks to pet the bugs underneath. "Ohemgee, this is awesome!",she looked all around her eyes shining like a 1000 watt lightbulb. It hadn't occured to her that this was all an illusion, a hologram of some sort; no, it was all too real for Boo. Her childish brain often mixed up fantasy with reality and that was a line that was often crossed. Therefore she had lack of perception or sense of alertness in these type of things even though she should've clued in when she just came through an elevator and a door to get here.

Boo spotted another white haired girl, different from the one she met from the elevator. How did she know? Let's say she noticed this one had longer hair, and how do you say it? More blessed with a more developed feminine body? Boo jumped off the tree branch and landed on front of her looking into the girl's orange-brown eyes(well, she tried to, considering the 3-inch height difference). She was uncomfortably close to the girl's face, just centimetres away(10.712 exact) and she stared deeply into her eyes and said , "You have a really smooth face you know that?". Then she rubbed her cheek against hers and then giggled away trying to find the other "girl".
