Erin is a body hardened by years of hardship. Although she is clearly a girl, she has quite a few boyish features, such as a rather broad face and posture and well-toned arms and legs. She keeps herself in top physical condition, even if she isn't entirely well-fed. Indeed, she has apparent abdominal muscles but a rather modest chest. Erin isn't exactly always so clean, however. She is always either charred, dirty, bruised or riddled with some sort of imperfection that would make her appear less attractive. Probably one of the only clear features that mark Erin as a woman is the long, untrimmed hair that trims behind her, hair that grows all the way down to her knees. This too is also often dirty and ungainly.

Erin tends to wear the same clothes all the time, namely a white dress shirt and baggy red trousers held up by suspenders, despite how horrifying the sight of a woman wearing pants is to most. Her clothing has very distinct signs of wear, which can be indicated by the many places where they are either sewn up or patched. Erin also wears red and white ribbons in her hair, perhaps either to retain some form of gender identity or to tie up her long uncontrolled hair in bundles. She usually allows her hair to flow rather freely, but when she needs to, she'll tie up her hair in a single braid. Erin also wears men's leather boots, although they have long lost their shine and are constantly falling apart.

๏ผฐ๏ผฅ๏ผฒ๏ผณ๏ผฏ๏ผฎ๏ผก๏ผฌ๏ผฉ๏ผด๏ผน
Erin is quite manly despite being a girl. She's short-tempered, ill-mannered, and highly rebellious. She prefers to get into fights instead of cooking and would rather wear trousers than frilly dresses. It's not difficult to liken her to a man, and not even a gentleman. If you provoke her, she's going to do what she can to protect her dignity.

That isn't to say she's all bad though. For the most part, she's rather kind toward good-natured people, she just doesn't take any crap from others. Erin values fairness overall, so if she ever feels somebody is being wronged, she'll easily go out of her way to help them, although she hates being used or being told what to do or how to do something. . Erin holds grudges easily, yet gain her trust and she'll be very loyal to you.

Now Erin might sound to be quite the hothead, but a lot of the time, she's got a cool side, although she only really is calm when she's alone or around people she trusts. When she's calm, she tends to reflect on things, such as herself, other people or just her current state of affairs. Indeed, she doesn't mind a little quiet time. When she's calm and collected, it's a bit difficult to get her going again unless you challenge her pride.

๏ผฌ๏ผฉ๏ผซ๏ผฅ๏ผณ
Fire - What's not to like about fire? It keeps you warm, cook food, scares off animals, lights up dark spaces and is both highly destructive and grows easily. Plus, it doesn't hurt Erin, not one bit. All it takes is a little bit of fire and everybody begs for mercy.
Food - The best way to this girl's heart is through her stomach. She's especially got a taste for meats and hearty foods like stews and soups. No meal is good unless it's steaming hot.
Toughness - Might is most often right. Anybody who dares question her toughness for the simple fact that she's a girl is prime for receiving a knuckle sandwich. If there's a challenge, Erin's most likely to take it up.
Children - Indeed, she's got a certain soft spot for children and teenagers alike, especially those who have goals in mind. She feels that children understand something that adults forget, and although she has a hard time defining exactly what that is, she describes it as; "The inability to define everything using numbers.

๏ผค๏ผฉ๏ผณ๏ผฌ๏ผฉ๏ผซ๏ผฅ๏ผณ
The Rich - They don't need to do much and have absolutely everything. Not one is honest and none of them know what true hardship is. Erin's not afraid to give any prissy little rich boy a piece of her mind, if she could get away with it. Of course, she doesn't mind the rare few good-natured ones in the world.
Unfairness - If one person's got more than another for no good reason or one person's wronging another, Erin's bound to step in and give lectures; most of the time with her fists. To Erin, all men are born equal and it's karma from their actions that defines their value. Obviously, woman are included.
Liars - Everybody lies with a certain intention in mind. Erin hates when people try to deceive or manipulate others for ulterior purposes, especially to herself. Because she's gullible, she has difficulty trusting people she doesn't know all that well, but will easily believe what is said by those who she trusts.
Her Stepmother - Not often a topic of idle conversation. Erin wishes to find her and kill her some day, if she's still alive. She still has an unfulfilled drive for revenge deep within her heart, a drive to kill the person who betrayed her and took everything dear to her.

๏ผด๏ผก๏ผฌ๏ผฅ๏ผฎ๏ผด๏ผณ
Pyromancy - Erin's main magical skill is the manipulation of fire. She can create fire out of nothing, or she can manipulate already existing fire in any way she pleases. Naturally, the more fire she has to create with a lack of fuel present, the more energy she uses. Also, she is completely immune to fire or any sort of burns. Not even her clothes can catch fire if she doesn't allow them. Of course, this doesn't mean she's immune to smoke or getting dirty from soot. Erin only uses this ability when she's alone for ordinary purposes or to entertain her when she's idle and nearly never uses it for harming another person unless it's an emergency. In fact, she avoids burning others as much as possible.
Physical Combat - Erin was literally raised on fistfights. Erin is very good at fighting with her bare hands and whatever other part of her body is at her disposal. Indeed, she's got quite a bit of muscle to back up her punches. She may not have any skill in terms of using weapons, but she's pretty confident when it comes to fighting another mano-a-womano.
Urban Survival Skills - Having experienced living in poverty for the majority of her life, she knows how to survive with poor living conditions, such as how to get food and where to find safe places to sleep. This does extend to somewhat to outdoor survival skills, although anything outside of the wall is beyond her expertise.

๏ผฆ๏ผฌ๏ผก๏ผท๏ผณ
Low Stamina - Like a match, Erin burns brightly but burns out quickly. Whether its her fire magic or her fist-fighting, Erin fights hard, but isn't built to last. She's not much of a marathon runner either.
Hot-Headed/Gullible - Erin has quite the one-track mind. When she puts her mind to something, she's going to do it. Unfortunately, this has its own flaws. If one were to get her angered or riled up, she's going to be pretty determined in getting back at you. If something hits her emotionally hard, then you can count on her to let her emotions run wild. Call her a lady or a ma'am and expect a world of pain. If she trusts somebody, she'll put her life in their hands. Also, if you challenge her, she's going to take you up on your challenge, honorably as well, regardless of how much of a scumbag you may already be.
Uneducated - Erin's not too hugely educated. She's moderately good at reading, although the way she speaks might not be perfectly articulated or with perfect grammar. Her printing is rather mediocre and her mental math beyond the basics isn't all that good. Naturally, she's got no idea how things like machinery and chemistry and such works.

๏ผฆ๏ผฅ๏ผก๏ผฒ๏ผณ
Death - While she's lived a good long life, Erin is still not ready to die yet. In fact, Erin is still entertaining the thought of eternal life, seeing as ever since she reached 20, she didn't seem to be aging at all.
Loss of Friends - Just as she fears her own death, she fears the deaths of others, as well as other sorts of awful fates. The fact that she lives longer than them doesn't help that. Erin also hates to have friends forget about her or betray her. After all, friends are all she has left.

"I've already been burned."

๏ผข๏ผฉ๏ผฏ
Most of Erin's memories as a young child are cold. Erinโ€™s family was nearly always struggling, so much so that as a child, Erin often had to sell her fatherโ€™s matches on the street with her brothers just to be able to feed the family. Erin had two elder brothers and a father who owned a haberdashery and they all lived in a small yet older village. Due to economic depression, the shop was nearly always empty, customers being rarities. The childrenโ€™s mother had died from pneumonia while Erin was still a baby.

Still, the family always stuck warmly together. The three children supported each other and their father with a loving bond, even if times were hard or there were disagreements. Though the father was often melancholic and rarely ever left the shop, he was always knew what was best for his children and always consoled Erin whenever something had upset her. Growing up with two brothers, Erin grew up to be rather boyish herself. She always wore trousers and played boyish games, as well as learning how to act tough. Sheโ€™d even back her brothers up in fights. Most adults would have heavily disapproved of Erinโ€™s actions, seeing as she was a girl and should have been learning to be more ladylike, but her father didn't care too badly. In fact, he encouraged her to do whatever she liked, regardless of what other people said.

This period of time didn't last forever, however. At some point, while Erin was eleven, her closed-in father had managed to open his heart once more and had fallen for a beautiful woman, Mykeisha, whom he married. Life from that point suddenly seemed to be becoming easier. The shop expanded its wears from just men's goods and ended up becoming successful and the three children didn't have to be afraid of missing out on meals. While life was getting easier for the family, the relations between family members wasn't. Mainly, it was Erin that seemed to be the troublemaker of the family. Both of her brothers had been growing distant from her as they matured and she was always quarreling with her stepmother, who was always trying to make her become 'a proper lady'. Her father never took her side of these quarrels either. Both of her brothers went to school and became well educated while she was still only being taught the bare essentials at home.

It was around this time that Eric had told Erin about a game called "Witch's Dare" which he played with his friends. In it, a person had to hold matches between their fingers and let them burn up. The goal was to hold the match for as long as possible, before it burned you. If you didn't hold it longer than the last person, you were a Witch and had to try again and let the flame burn you to be proven "Not a Witch". It was a test of guts. Erin wanted to try playing it, so she did so with Eric's friends, despite being younger than them. Although, once she actually had the match between her fingers, she got scared quickly and released it as soon as the flame flickered from her breath. Erin was promptly teased as a Witch even by both her brothers until she would play again. Absolutely hating being teased, Erin began to practice using her father's matches whenever she was alone. She may have been caught once by her stepmother, who gave her a proper punishment, but that didn't stop Erin. She continually lighted matches between her fingers to get as close to feeling that burning sensation as possible. It never came.

In fact, every time the flame got between her fingers, it seemed to simply burn out. It never hurt, it never even left a mark. Just a somewhat pleasantly warm sensation. Erin would continue to play and experiment with matches, even holding them in the palm of her hand, only to find that fire didn't harm her, despite everything she knew about it, such as being told of the dangers of fire (like from her stepmother) as well as seeing people burn themselves with stoves and such. At some point, Erin managed to light her entire hand on fire. Unfortunately, at this time, her stepmother had caught her in the act, having smelt smoke. She was shocked, of course, although she seemed to realize the truth rather quickly. Erin was a witch. Erin didn't need to be told what the implications were. Her stepmother, however, decided to use the situation to her advantage. She threatened to reveal Erin's identity if she didn't bend to her will. She was also forbidden from using magic. Erin had no choice but to comply. Besides, her father had a hatred for witches.

For over a month, Erin was forced to do just as she was told without complaint. Her stepmother was never unreasonable with her requests, yet every time Erin was told to do something, she absolutely resented it. Her stepmother seemed to want to keep a close eye on Erin and spent a lot more time with her, having Erin help her make meals and assist her with chores. Every now and then, when nobody else was around, Erin's stepmother would allow a temporary lifting of the magic ban whenever it was convenient (such as lighting up stoves and such).

There was one evening, however, that Erin would never be soon to forget. She was awakened by the shouting voice of her father, who was arguing with her stepmother. They attempted to keep their voices down, but Erin had never heard her father so angry. Erin could hardly hear what they were talking about, but apparently it was something about witches. The most clear part Erin could remember was the end of it, when Erin's father had told her stepmother to leave. She didn't hear much after that, so she went back to sleep.

Erin could never quite recall what was it in specific that woke her up again. It could have been the sound of a person in the room, it could have been the banging noise in the other room, it could have been the smell of smoke, it could have been the sound of matches being lit or it could have been that familiar warmth. The memory was very fuzzy, yet also very distinct. What Erin could remember was her stepmother standing above her, lighting matches. The room was dim, yet there was a flickering light. She gasped when Erin stirred and grasped something dark, possibly a pan. "I'm sorry," is what Erin could remember her saying, before she was knocked cold.

When Erin came to, she was buried in ash and rubble, sore and with a throbbing headache. She could hardly move, hardly even understanding what was going on. She shouted and yelled for help, which came. Quickly, Erin was dug out of the rubble by people she barely knew, as well as guards, and brought to her feet. At the time, Erin hadn't realized it at first, being in shock, but she was able to see exactly what had occurred. The small old shop she lived in all her life had completely burned down, leaving nothing but rubble, ash and stone foundation. A few of the buildings in close vicinity, especially in the direction that the wind was blowing, were also heavily damaged. Many people were on the streets, trying to clear all the leveled down buildings in hope of finding valuables and victims. There was much commotion as well as grief. Erin didn't even have the chance to thank her rescuers, however, before people started calling; "It's her!" "She's Elijah's daughter!" "It's who Mrs. Fawkes said it was!" "That girl caused all this!" "She's the witch!"

Erin was promptly arrested before she could ask what as going on. It was in her cell that she learned what they were all talking about; Apparently, early in the morning, Mrs. Mykeisha Fawkes had emerged from the burning house screaming that her daughter was a witch. According to her, Erin was fighting with her father that evening and went into his room to murder him, setting the shop ablaze. Apparently, in her madness, she killed her two brothers and would have gotten her stepmother as well had she not defended herself with a cooking pan. Erin was absolutely devastated when she heard that the death of her family was confirmed, although her anger when directly toward her stepmother. Erin was knew her stepmother was lying and even was able to convince herself that she killed her father and two brothers, the only true family she ever knew. For what reason, Erin did not know, but that did not matter.

Later that afternoon, Erin was dragged out of her cell into the forum where the ancient courthouse stood. She was kicked and spat at, but she lashed out however she could at anybody and everybody, mostly people Erin knew her whole life, people who believed she ruined theirs. Yet, once all her fight was beaten out of her, she gave in and was finally dragged to a wooden post that stood in the very center. It was declared that she was sentenced to be burned at the stake. If she wasn't a witch, it was mere execution for her sins. If she survived, then there were much worse ways to die. Ankles and wrists tied and post raised over firewood, a wet cloth placed over her chest, the executioner lit a match. There were angry cries and anxious whispers all about. The fire may have burned, but Erin felt nothing, nothing but anger that was.

They say it was quite the spectacle. For the first few minutes, the fire burned and Erin could be seen struggling, but she only stopped once everything was ablaze around her, everything but her. As if she were made of asbestos, the flames never seemed to touch her. She didn't scream nor cry and neither her clothing nor skin caught fire. There was a great deal of awe as the realization had occurred that she was an honest-to-goodness witch. It may have been the first time a person was burned in that old village's forum in 50 years, yet it was over 300 years since the accused survived for more than ten minutes. However, it was said that after 15 minutes, the witch, Erin, began to stir again. They say she screamed, addressing her stepmother, saying that she was betrayed. Apparently, she vowed for revenge, which was answered by shouts by the crowd for her to repent. Then, with a howl, the flames grew drastically, just as they were beginning to die out. Erin's body was encompassed in the flames as she screamed. The flames were bending to her will as they transformed into a foul creature, a large silhouette of a blazing bird. With the expansion of its wings, it spat flames out in every direction, creating more fires as it towered above the crowd. Every sane man had ran for their lives. Erin, too managed to escape.

After then, Erin was never heard from again. Neither was Mykeisha. Erin seemed to have disappeared, vanished without a trace. Although the small village would never forget the tragedy that occurred because of her, the rest of the kingdom would. Erin would not be seen by any human being for 5 years, but after that, she began to hide in Capitol City. At this point, her hair had lost its color, although how it occurred, nobody truly knows. Also, her ordinarily short hair had grown very long and ungainly. Erin refused to cut it as she vowed to not cut her hair until she had her revenge.

In Capitol City, Erin learned to adapt to living on the streets. She was used to living in poor conditions and had new-found experience in living homeless both in her village and outside of it and decided to live in the big city, where she would be easier to lose track of. Erin would learn, however, that living in the streets of Capitol City was a lot different, as she was far from the only poor person wandering in the back alleys and such. Erin learned exactly what being a criminal was like, working with other more experienced and equally as desperate thieves for the sake of getting both food and money. Of course, she learned exactly how to deal with guards, from evading them to bribing them. Naturally, her ability to use her fists and her guts eventually gave her a reputation overtime and although she mostly kept them secret, her magical skills also put her in high regard among close allies. At some point, Erin became part of a street gang known as the "Falcon Clan", a group of people, often from poorer backgrounds, who supported each other and stole from the upper classes. Being both a loyal and a capable member for ten years as well as becoming close personal friends with the former leader, Erin eventually took upon the former leader's untimely death.

Ever since, Erin was very reputed among the Capitol's underground, often known as The Phoenix for her fierce attitude and ability to recover morale in any bad situation, as well as her reputed elemental abilities over fire. She's rarely known to use her abilities to harm others, instead using her simple physical capabilities either for fairness or mercy when it came to resolving disputes between people. It's said she values fairness overall, which is why she only allows members of her clan to steal from the rich and the upper-class. Hardly anybody questions the word of the Phoenix. In fact, she only allows people to refer to her as the Phoenix unless they are talking with her directly for the sake of her safety, as she wishes to conceal her identity somewhat for the sake of her safety, which in recent times has become much more important.

Recently, the Imperial Guard has been heavily enforcing the persecution of magicians as of recent, due to the new decree. As such, somehow, they have gotten wind of the rumors about the Phoenix being a witch and have been continually breaking down on nearly all forms of crime in search of the Phoenix. Naturally, Erin had become extremely worried, not only because her life is at stake, but so are the lives of people who she considers her closest friends. So, Erin, being as well informed as she was, had caught wind of a group of magicians who were planning on escaping to somewhere beyond the wall. Although somewhat doubtful at first, Erin decided she was in. Erin is ready for whatever the future may bring to her long life.
