Description

Human Form:

(He has no wings)

True Form:
Image

Name: Kenneth Madoc

Nickname: "Two-Face"

Faction: Angels

Race: Demon

Age: Over 200+ No one knows his actual age. (It's really 237.)

Height: About five feet ten inches. He's about average height. When he transforms he is five feet tall at the shoulder, eleven feet long, and about three feet wide.

Weight: Skinny, though not scrawny. He weighs 147 lbs. but it's all muscle. He's very well put together. When he transforms he becomes much more muscled and bulky, weighing about seven hundred pounds.

Eye Color: Amber. They're the perfect mix of warm golds and browns that make you feel safe when you look into them. When he transforms, his eyes become icy blue and devoid of all emotion.

Hair Color: White. His hair is white like freshly fallen snow. It's almost shockingly white. This is the only constant about him, when he transforms his hair color doesn't change. Instead, black stripes race through his fur, but the majority of his remains white haired.

Description:

He is your average everyday human when not transformed. The only thing that would give away his otherworldly origins, is his stark white hair. He has no odd physiology that would belay his demonic nature. He uses everyday colloquialisms, and does his very best to blend in. He has assorted scars all over his body from the fights he's been in, the three most notable being the one on his cheek that extends from his mouth on the right side, giving him an eternal smirk. The second is on his left shoulder, it stretches diagonally from his armpit, over around his collarbone, and down his shoulder blades before stopping mid back. The last scar, or archipelago of scars, really, are on his belly and back and look suspiciously like bite marks. Finally, he has a tattoo on both of his wrists that form the seal on his powers.

Abilities:

In human form, he is vastly weaker than his other Demonic brethren, but don't let it fool you, it's due mostly to the massive seal placed on his powers. He can handle the High Magic relatively well, but is definitely not a master, he can still make mistakes when he uses it. He specializes in fire and light magics. He is a very adept hand to hand fighter, and will not shirk away from physical confrontation, though he would rather avoid it. He can't hurt you too bad and risk blowing his cover, could he? He is also very proficient with his bow and glaive, though he prefers not to use them unless the situations truly calls for it. His eyes can always see anything's true form. Using this ability, he can see if something is a demon or a human, but he can divine no other information from this ability. Kenneth, like all demons, has the ability to transform into his true form. However, if Kenneth releases his seal while still in his human body, he will instantly transform. His full power is so massive, that his human body is unable to contain it. Finally, if Kenneth were to ever transform before removing his seals, his true form would have a pair of shackles on the front legs.

Unlike most other angels, Kenneth's transformation is particularly destructive. When he transforms, his body becomes shrouded in a corona of blue flame, and his body swells and grows explosively into being. Kenneth's transformation, is the form of a huge white tiger, wreathed in flame. The flame is intensely hot, burning up the air around it, and not stopping until it has consumed it's target. The flame only burns what Kenneth considers and enemy. If he doesn't consider you a threat, it won't burn you, further, it will burn away any impurities if Kenneth considers you an ally. For example, if an ally were to be stabbed with a poisoned weapon, Kenneth's fire would burn away the poison. It won't however, heal the wound, it must still be treated. While transformed, Kenneth's natural abilities become massively enhanced. His body becomes much more powerful, he moves faster than the human eye can follow, without magical assistance, and his reflexes and basic locomotion skills speed up to match. He has one special ability that can only be accessed in this form, he can create a roar laced with the blue flame, creating a massive blast of blue flame in a single direction. Anything caught in the blast is ignited and takes massive damage.

Equipment:

Kenneth has a few possessions that he keeps on him at all times. The first is his bracelet that transforms into his combination glaive/bow when it's fed magical power. The other is a bingo book that he uses to keep tabs on all information that the higher ups in the Angel faction have collected on their evil counterparts. The last keepsake he has is a locket with a picture of his mother and father in it. He was separated from them at birth and hasn't found them yet. He still doesn't know where they are or if they're even alive.

Personality:

Outside of battle, Kenneth is a decent enough guy. If you're a friend of his, he'll be super jovial, happy enough to see you, and help out with whatever problem you'll ask him for help with. However, the second he gets into battle, with an angel or a demon, his personality shifts entirely, garnering his nickname of "Two-Face". When in battle, he becomes very self-righteous, very bureaucratic, and incredibly condescending.

History:

Kenneth's birth was slightly different from every other demon's. He was separated from his mother and father, and was, instead, raised by a member of the higher-ups in the Angelic society. They took him to what amounted to a a gladiator's academy in the slums of Angel society. There he was trained to be a peacekeeper from a young age. He was always told that he was never good enough. He tried as hard as he possibly could every day but he was never good enough. He was beaten daily, and was told every day that he would never be able to leave because his entire life would be spent there, training for the battle field he would never see. However, unbeknownst to the higher-ups, he spent most of his nights training. Kenneth refused to believe that his life was meaningless, and he was going to leave some day. However, what Kenneth didn't know was that the higher-ups just told him he was worthless so he wouldn't get a big head, he was actually progressing right on schedule, however, due to his extra training, he was surpassing their expectations. Finally, after one hundred years, he was told to leave the training grounds and search the human world for his parents and his purpose as an ambassador to the Angels. Lately he's taken this to mean the extermination of ALL who oppose the Angels. He fulfills this purpose with extreme prejudice and entirely bureaucratically. He won't move unless it falls to the side of justice or if it fits what the higher-ups told him.

Extra Fluff/Other:

~He's actually incredibly awkward around women, but he doesn't want anyone to know.
~He keeps a journal of all of his activities and he writes in it every night.
~He likes to look at his locket when no one is looking. He can't live without the idea that someone out there loves him.
~He likes cute things, and is unexpectedly sensitive to plushie toys.
~He likes to eat sweet things and doesn't like sour tastes.

So begins...

Victor took a breathe and relaxed, picking up and reorganizing his notes and placing them safely away. He glances at the clock and it reads 2:30 Well know is as good a time as ever. He makes his way to Kenneth's apartment building and knocks on the door. Upon being let in he looks at the physically non imposing man standing before him, Victor knew from experience that Kenneth was a much better opponent than he appeared. I need to tread lightly here, we aren't on the best of terms at the moment . "Kenneth I was hoping you had some information my reconnaissance notes were lacking." He said confidently, "There is a demon I ran into today that I don't know anything about. His human form is a relatively tall man, with blood red eyes and black hair. He also seems to have an aura about him that spreads uneasiness. Any information you have about this demon would be appreciated, I would like to be prepared should he choose to start something." Victor hoped that Kenneth was in a good mood and would be willing to share the information Should I tell him about the girl? I can't be sure but if that demon is following her it could cause me trouble, then again I don't know for sure, I'll keep it to myself for now. Victor waits calmly and patiently as he awaits Kenneth's reply.

Contrary to popular belief, Kenneth had spent most of his day lounging around his apartment and futzing around with his newest toy, a laptop computer. Most of Kenneth's "friends", acquaintances really, would call him almost eternally active. Which was true any other day, Kenneth usually spent most of his time training his hand to hand combat, or practicing his magic, though most of his "friends" didn't know he did magic. They were all human. Kenneth spent most of his time in complete disguise, attempting to hide within the sea of humans while protecting them from the Devilish scum that wanted nothing more than to wipe them out. For justice, for peace, for his own personal honor. He had to, so that one day, he could finally find his parents.

While Kenneth was busy transferring the contents of his bingo book to the laptop, in order to protect them, he spent his day lazing about and doing nothing for a change. He bummed around his well furnished upper mid-class apartment, typing all the while. He had just managed to finish the section on the B's after the A's when a there was the sound of a knock on his door. Kenneth quickly picked up his bingo book, locked down his laptop, and walked over to the door. Sure enough, it was Victor. He'd called him earlier to tell him he was on his way. "Yeah, come in." Kenneth said curtly. Victor walked in silently, sizing him up as he walked past. Kenneth smirked. The pair weren't exactly friendly. Sure they were respectful to each other, they almost had to be, but there was no way Kenneth was going to go out of his way for Victor. That's when Victor spoke up, "Kenneth I was hoping you had some information my reconnaissance notes were lacking." He said confidently, "There is a demon I ran into today that I don't know anything about. His human form is a relatively tall man, with blood red eyes and black hair. He also seems to have an aura about him that spreads uneasiness. Any information you have about this demon would be appreciated, I would like to be prepared should he choose to start something." Kenneth nodded, "Sounds familiar, lemme check my book." Kenneth walked over to his couch and sat down. "Yeah, Jon's his name. Demon, like you said. Red eyes, black hair, carries a scythe, and stronger than most humans. That's all my bingo book's got. Why? You go looking for trouble again?" Kenneth asked with a smirk. "Anything you need my help with? I've been lazing about all day, I could use some action." Kenneth probed. Usually, Victor was always the first to find something tasty, and Kenneth was tired of bumming around all day. Kenneth tried to play it off like it wasn't a big deal, like Victor was being way too nosy and antsy, but he knew that Victor was just trying to be prudent, he was usually pretty good about stuff like that.

Kenneth proceed to give Victor the information he asked for, not too much, but then again Victor was aware that Kenneth's book didn't have all the answers. He received enough information to be prepared. "Anything you need my help with? I've been lazing about all day, I could use some action." Kenneth asked jumping at the chance to do something. "Well I'm gonna let him be for a while, if I find him near Arlette again then something might go down. For now, I think I'll either spend some more time training, or maybe some research on some hunter's I used to know, actually would you have any information on them?" He asked, but Kenneth simply shook his head, it was clear he had no information. "Darn, well I guess I'll have to look through records the old fashioned way then. Care to join me?" Victor ran his hand through his hair, something he does quite regularly. Maybe if I give him something to do, he'll quit complaining.

When Victor asked him about hunters, Kenneth only shook his head. His Bingo Book only had rudimentary information on Devils and Angels, while Kenneth was being sent more information on them everyday, he only knew so much. "Darn, well I guess I'll have to look through records the old fashioned way then. Care to join me?" Victor offered, running his hand through his hair. Kenneth shook his head again, then flopped dramatically onto the couch. "Blegh! I've been doing 'homework' all day, I wanna play!" Kenneth mock whined, trying to sound as juvenile as he possibly could. "Well, if you wanna pour through some old books, be my guest, I'm headed out." Kenneth stood, grabbing a brown flak jacket to throw on over his white shirt and tossing on some old school tennis shoes. Kenneth grabbed his bingo book and cell phone, slid on his bracelet, double checked his seals, and headed over to the door. "After you," Kenneth said. "I'm heading out, and I can't have you snooping around in my place while I'm out. I've got my cell so if you need me, you know where to reach me." Kenneth stood aside as Victor walked out of his apartment. Kenneth walked down to the street with him silently, before waving and turning the other direction. Surely, there was something for Kenneth to get into out and about town. It had been a long time since he last went devil hunting, maybe he could go train at the gym. The city was open to him, and he wasn't going to give up this first real chance to delve into it's depths.

As Kenneth was walking through the downtown, he felt a horrendous presence in an adjoining alleyway, definitely demonic. Kenneth snapped his head to the side, sighting an unusual shadow, it was the middle of the day, why would there be shadows like that? Kenneth trotted down the alley, taking note as the sun slid over one of the buildings, and the shadow clinging to the walls of the place. Something nasty was going on in here. That's when he heard it, the sound of screams. They were muffled, but it definitely there. It was a man and a woman, a pair of them. Kenneth poured himself through the alley, racing down into its depths. Finally he made it. However, the second he got there, Kenneth ducked behind a dumpster. There were seven of them, beating on the man while the woman tried to escape the eighth. Growling in disgust, Kenneth brought his hand up to his face. "Time to go," he said. Standing, Kenneth swiped the hand down to his side, channeling his raw, demonic might into the bracelet on his wrist. The bracelet shown for a moment with bright blue light. A gold and teal bow sprang into existence, a blazing little fire shining at the arrow rest. "Alrighty boys, that's enough of that." Kenneth said. For a moment, he caught their attention, they stopped beating the man. Then they just laughed, returning to their previous activity. Kenneth began to smolder with anger. Raising his bow, Kenneth drew back on the non-existent string, an arrow of fire forming from his hand. "I'm not someone to ignore." Kenneth said, taking aim. He released, and a flash of light blazed through the air, piercing the offender's head. The thug collapsed, dead before he hit the ground. Kenneth lowered his bow. "Oi! I said that's enough!" Kenneth yelled, returning the bow to a bracelet. "You can all leave right now, and I'll let you go home, or you can stick around and end up like your buddy there." Unfortunately, the would-be muggers had different plans. They rushed him, trying to count on their numbers to overpower him. Kenneth once again filled his bracelet with power, and a golden glaive with a teal gem in the center of the blade sprung into being, sharp as a razor and bright as daylight. Setting himself against the charge, Kenneth gripped the staff of his glaive. As the first attacker got into striking distance, Kenneth lashed out with his glaive, cleanly slicing off his head. Kenneth spun the blade halfway around his body, then whipped it back around himself, slicing the next attacker in half. Raising the glaive above his head and spinning rapidly, Kenneth stepped back and set the glaive for a thrust. Kenneth sunk deep into his stance and speared the next thug, skewering him like a bloody marshmallow. Kenneth breathed out deeply, and pulled his glaive out of the thug with a sickening squelch. He wasn't tired at all, he was mostly just disappointed. There was blood splattered everywhere, but it wasn't because Kenneth fought sloppily, it was mostly that these... worms, infuriated him into striking much too harshly. He had to teach them a lesson, the hard way. How dare they pick on the meek. How dare they trample the innocent. "You damn rats, you trash. How dare you!" At that, Kenneth charged, finishing off the remaining thugs with cruel and horrible efficiency.

At this point, it wasn't about protecting the people who they'd assailed, it was about giving the filth in this part of the city an example of what was to come. Kenneth was intent on purging the city, and he'd do it one piece of trash at a time. Finally finished, his body soaked in thick red blood, Kenneth walked over to the victims. He smiled, despite the fact that he was covered in blood. "If you are weak, this will only happen again. I can't be there to protect you every time. Next time, if you're not strong enough, you could die." Kenneth said, deadly serious. The pair only nodded. "Now," Kenneth said, waving his hand in front of their eyes, quickly casting a spell to remove any memories they might have about magic. "Go home, leave this place now." Kenneth said, standing up and watching them leave. Once more he raised his hand, and cast a spell to remove the blood from his body. He managed to get rid of the red and the stains, but some of the smell remained. He needed to get out of there fast or else he'd start drawing attention to himself. Kenneth took off down the alleyway, quickly making his way to the local mall to mask the smell with the free cologne samples that those incredibly annoying and unnervingly perky kiosk venders sprayed in your face even when you didn't want the sample. Once he made it to one such kiosk, he quickly sprayed himself with something that smelled nice, would cover the smell, but wasn't too overpowering. Realxing a little, Kenneth actually decided that he might as well stick around and see what there was to see, he hadn't been to the mall in quite some time.

Victor watched as a young man walks up to him "So tell me what is one of your kind doing here? Don't most of you go to some warehouse to drink and socialize?". The young man clearly hated demons, and appeared to be a hunter. Victor took a breath and a minute before responding. "Young man, what makes you assume that someone such as myself, would want to spend my time in those horrid disgusting places and drink that filth with those lowly beasts?" his tone was neither angry nor upset, but rather came off noble and informative. "I am here as a peaceful patron enjoying a nice glass of bourbon after a long day. You clearly don't frequent places of class such as this, or you would have seen me before. Now would like to ask your question again and show me the respect I deserve?" He explained, his comments did not sound threatening despite the words that were said, in fact they sounded calm and peaceful as if he were simply telling the man about his day. Victor takes a drink from his glass, sets it down on the bar and places a hand in the pocket of his cloak, in the pocket he grabs his phone and sends a text message to Kenneth, it read; 'Come to the bar, the usual one. I might have some fun for you'. After sending the message he takes his hand out of his pocket and grabs his drink once more. "Now please, introduce yourself. Might I be of assistance to you, or are you bothering me simply because of what I am?" he asks looking at the man with a stern look on his face.

Victor sat for a minute listening to this hunter spout rude comments. "Do they allow smoking?" he asked. "I would prefer it if you kept that toxicity away from me." Victor stated curtly. He thought for a minute "I may or may not have the information you desire, but based upon the conclusion's I draw from your actions here, I doubt you have the ability to handle the demon you describe. Further more you have done nothing to show that you can be trusted." Victor grabs his drink and takes another sip. He signals the bar tender, hands him a large bill "This is for both our tabs, keep any extra." He turns to the hunter, "If there is nothing more we need to discuss, I shall be taking my leave." And with that Victor stood from his seat and left the bar. When he got outside he picked up his phone and began to look through his contacts, he decided to call Kenneth, whom he knew had gone out to find something to do. The phone rings a couple times and then he answers. "Kenneth, how are you, I grew tired of the bar. Another hunter being disrespectful, you know how it goes. Anyway I'm feeling particularly social, have you found anything interesting to pass the time?" As he asks he finds himself thinking of the woman he met this morning Why does she feel the need to train so hard, most humans that aren't hunters, and I didn't feel she was a hunter because she didn't recognize what I was, don't train in combat like that. They don't take it that seriously. He begins to walk towards down town, as he listens to Kenneth's reply.

As Kenneth strolled through the mall, he bumped absentmindedly into different people. He wasn't watching where he was going at all, he was mostly people watching, trying to sniff out demons and make sure that no one was causing a scene. He was positive that the scene he'd caused earlier was garnering him unwanted attention. It wasn't that he couldn't handle it, it was mostly that there were civilians here. How could he protect them without changing? Trick question, he couldn't. Regardless, while Kenneth was strolling around, highly strung and jumpy, he bumped into a golden haired woman near a jewelry store. "Oops," Kenneth said, "I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going, you ok?" Kenneth asked.

That was when he did his double take. The woman was gorgeous, but it wasn't just her outward beauty that intrigued him, though it did distract him, causing him to blush slightly. Kenneth shook his head and did an actual double take, before looking back at her again. There it was! It was her eyes! They were a very interesting, very bright, shade of green. A very specific shade. Where had he seen that exact color of green before? Kenneth pondered it for a moment, lost in her perfectly green eyes. The way they reflected the light was so familiar, they sparkled like emeralds in the light. Try as he might, Kenneth just couldn't grasp it. The longer he stared at them, the more familiar they seemed. It took Kenneth a moment to realize he was gripping her tightly by the shoulders and staring deeply, almost mesmerized, into her eyes. He'd been doing so for a good long while. Kenneth immediately let go and nervously rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm really sorry, I'm not myself today. I just thought that I recognized the color of your eyes, and it made me wonder. Blegh, this is such an odd meeting, I'll just get out of your hair, I'm so sorry for the trouble." Kenneth blushed bright red. Here he'd met a very pretty girl, and just like that he was sure he'd scared her away. Man that was awkward... Just then his phone rang. It was Victor. "Ahh, hey Victor, what's going on?" He paused, there was the sound of a male voice on the other end. A noble, rich voice. "Fun you say? Nah, I'm hanging around the mall, just creeped the hell out of a blonde girl with green eyes." Another pause. "You know her? Gimme a second." Kenneth turned around, and grabbed the girl by the shoulder and spun her around. "I know this is weird, and I'm very sorry for any discomfort I may have caused you, but a friend of mine, Victor Evangelo, says he wants to speak to you. Do you know him?" As awkward as he was, Kenneth wasn't going to bother her if she didn't know him, and he had no intentions of harming or embarrassing the girl he'd just so awkwardly bumped into.

Arlette was lost in her thoughts of her Parents, smiling to herself. She didn't usually think too much about the past, but it was nice to think of the happy times. She missed them dearly. It was 6 years ago next month that they both passed away in that terrible car accident...she was only 17 at the time. She was lucky to have had such amazing parents, but 17 years just didn't seem long enough to spend with them. She absentmindedly twisted the ring on her middle finger, which was a beautiful silver wedding ring with a trio of diamond nestled at the top. She had worn it since the day her Mother passed, and had her fathers as well, put away safely. Her stomach suddenly grumbled, bringing her back to the present. Yikes! She better find some food. She was about to step away from the jewelry store window, when she was abruptly bumped into by a silver haired man. He apologized immediately, asking if she was okay. She noticed his stark white hair immediately.
"Oh, I'm fine, it's no problem..." She replied, smiling slightly in reassurance. She had been spacing off too, so it wasn't all his fault. he had taken a double take at her, and was starting to blush, making her blush just a little in return. She offered another small smile before starting to turn to continue her search of dinner, but was caught by the man's hand gripping her by the shoulder. He seemed lost for words, and almost shocked as he stared into her eyes. It was like he was searching for something in them, lost. She didn't know how to react. It didn't seem like a violent hold he had on her, or even a perverted one. He had a look on his face that would almost say that he recognized her, and was in disbelief that she was in front of him. Arlette would usually react instantaneously by jerking away and defending herself, but something told her he meant no harm. She gazed into his eyes, the warm mixture of golds and browns were gentle and comforting. She felt safe, but she still didn't know this man, so she started to pull away gently to probe him from his thoughts; he seemed to snap out of it all the sudden, releasing her. He looked quite embarrassed to say the last, rubbing the back of his head and apologizing about how he thought he recognized the color of her eyes. So he DID seem to recognize her in some way. Hm. How strange. She wasn't one to have a very familiar face that people thought they knew, especially with her shocking shade of green eyes. Was it just a pick up technique he was trying to pull on her. From the way he was acting, it seemed unlikely. His face was bright red, standing out with his light complexion and white hair.
"It's okay, it was an honest mistake..." She said, but was cut off by his phone ringing. He flipped it open, the name Victor springing from his lips. Victor?! It couldn't be the same Victor she had met previously, could it? She shook her head to herself. Nah, this city isn't that small. She turned to make her leave, when Kenneth mentioned he had run into a blonde haired green eyed woman. She couldn't help but giggle a little when he said he had probably creeped the hell out of her. She heard a rich muffled voice respond, and was yet again grabbed by the shoulder. Oh dear. What now?
She turned back, raising an eyebrow at Kenneth. Her face turned to one of surprise when he said Victor's full name. So it was him?! With their white hair, they could almost be related. Although Victor's was more of a silver.
"You could say I know him...we met briefly earlier this morning." She said, taking a step closer. "I'll talk to him, sure." She smiled, tentatively grasping the outstretched phone being offered from Kenneth's hand.
"Hello, Victor?" She spoke into the phone, unsure of what more to say.

Victor listened to Kenneth as he told him what he was doing, he then heard him speak of a woman that sounded much like the woman he had met earlier "What are you doing, what no I don't need to speak to --" He said before being cut off by a voice on the other end of the line "Hello, Victor?" he heard a voice that sounded much like Arlette's. "Hello Arlette, how are you? I was just about to get some food with Kenneth, he would be the man I was speaking with before he gave you the phone. Would you care to join us? My treat." He said. After he received her response he contemplated walking to the mall, he laughed and began running, knowing he could close the 4 miles in about 20 minutes. He enjoyed running at full speed, he didn't do it often, and he couldn't do it for extended period of times, in fact he would be pushing his limits with this run. When he arrives a the mall he wanders around attempting to locate Arlette and Kenneth. He gets distracted by an antique arms store. He wanders into the store and begins looking at swords I really doubt I'll find it here, but I like swords. The store was completely empty save for the owner. Victor waves at him as he walks in and begins looking at different swords. He see's a few broadswords that show potential but when he picks them up they feel wrong. The blades aren't made of the right material nothing but human blacksmithing used here he thinks as a frown develops on his face. He checks his watch and realizes he has forgotten about Kenneth and Arlette. He waves at the owner again before leaving the store and continuing his search for Kenneth and Arlette, not even thinking to call them.

Arlette held the phone up to her ear, awaiting Victor's reply. His voice came through strong and clear, and if she didn't know any better he sounded just a little irritated. But he quickly invited Arlette to dinner, with the man in front of her as well, who was named Kenneth. Her eyes glanced over to Kenneth as Victor Spoke, and she pondered for a second. Going to dinner with two men she just met today? Well....why not? They both seemed nice enough, even though Kenneth was slightly awkward; which she found amusing. She never went out with other people, so it would be a nice change. Especially sharing a meal. She eats alone most of the time, so she welcomed the company tonight. It was a bit of a risk, but she was ready to switch her routine up. Life was becoming a little droll as of late.
"That sounds wonderful. Thank you so much for the invite Victor. Me and um...Kenneth, will wait for you at the mall." She said, a little uncertain about waiting with Kenneth, but she shrugged the feeling off and reassured herself everything would be fine. Victor's line went dead and she too hung up, closing the cell phone and offering it back to Kenneth.
"Well, Victor has invited me to Dinner with the two of you. I hope you don't mind Kenneth." She said, hoping it wouldn't be a problem. By the way he had looked at her before, she doubted it. "Oh, and now that I know your name...mine is Arlette. Nice to meet you Kenneth."

Kenneth stood in silence as the pair talked on the phone for a few minutes. As soon as he heard the blonde woman say she was going to meet them here for dinner, Kenneth started started sweating bullets. Dinner? With her and Victor? Yikes. As fun as Kenneth was sure it would be, that gave him a decently large window of time where he would be alone with her.

After a short while, it seemed the pair had finished talking, as the woman hung up and handed Kenneth back his phone. "Well, Victor has invited me to Dinner with the two of you. I hope you don't mind Kenneth." She said, to which Kenneth smiled. Who knew, maybe it could be fun? Regardless, Kenneth was just about to speak up and properly introduce himself, when she spoke up again. "Oh, and now that I know your name...mine is Arlette. Nice to meet you Kenneth." Kenneth smiled again, and awkwardly offered her his hand to shake. "It's nice to meet you Arlette. I hope we can become good friends." Kenneth said, trying to let go of his nervousness, but it clung to every word. Kenneth shook his head a few times and patted both his cheeks with his hands. "Sorry," he said. "I'm really nervous." Kenneth said, blushing. "It's not your fault or anything like that. I feel like I recognize your eyes from somewhere, and I don't know why." Kenneth explained, he wanted her to understand. Sure she was pretty, but that wasn't the real reason why Kenneth was nervous. For some reason, her eyes, her face, something about it was familiar to him, but he couldn't quite grasp why. Kenneth stared off into the distance wistfully, trying to remember though the reason escaped him.

"I'm not trying to feed you a line or say that 'we're meant for each other' or some crap." Kenneth explained, "I'm not so low that I'd feed a complete stranger some cheesy line to get her into bed with me. For some reason, your eyes just seem familiar and it's throwing me for a loop." He looked back at her, blushing red, "I feel like I know you from somewhere, like I've met you before." Kenneth said, fumbling over the words like a teenage boy would while telling a pretty girl that he likes her. "Blegh, listen to me, rambling on and on like some wistful old man. Let's start over, first impressions are everything in this day and age after all." Kenneth said, shrugging. He stepped back a little and extending his hand for her to shake once again. "Hi I'm Kenneth. I'm a friend of Victor's. It's very nice to meet you." Kenneth said with a smile. He knew, for some reason, that this girl was important. He could see it in her eyes, those perfectly green, shining eyes. He had to figure it out, and being friendly, really getting to know her, would lead him to what it was. Plus, she was a friend of Victor's, even if he and Kenneth didn't always see eye to eye, she couldn't be all bad. It would be nice to just have a good friend in this city. Not some NPC of fake friend who'd leave you hanging out to dry when being there for you wasn't convenient.

As Arlette handed Kenneth's phone back and introduced herself, he did the same and extended his hand out to shake. His voice was a little shaky, and he still looked pretty nervous. But why? She moved her hand to grasp his, but he patted his cheeks as if to shake himself out of how nervous he was. His face was blazing scarlet as he stumbled through his words, which usually Arlette would find annoying, but in this instance she did not for some reason. He was genuine in his explanation that he swore he had met her somewhere before, she felt the truth to his words and saw it in his eyes. But how could they have met before? She would have surely remembered such a unique person such as he. There had to be some kind of explanation as to why he felt so intensely that he knew her. Arlette's pink lips were lifted in a small smile the whole time Kenneth spoke, letting him sort through his feelings and get his words together. She covered her mouth in a giggle as he compared himself to a wistful old man, her eyes sparkling as she tried not to laugh louder. She almost felt the urge to tease Kenneth for his nervous behavior, but held herself back for his sake.
After a minute, he composed himself and decided it was best to re-start his first impression with her, stretching his hand out once again. She accepted immediately, clasping her petite soft hand in his, giving it a surprisingly firm hand shake as she leaned forward slightly.
"Hello Kenneth, friend of Victor. It's a pleasure to meet you as well." She said, smiling as she played along with their second introduction. Releasing his hand, she put her finger to her plump bottom lip, her brows furrowing together.
"Well Kenneth, I really do wish you knew where you thought you knew me from. It's going to eat at me for a while.." She grumbled, her emerald eyes studying him closely as if to jog her own memory of possibly meeting him somewhere. Her eyes narrowed as she looked over his features, not thinking about if it would be awkward for him or not. She was positive she hadn't seen him before. Then, suddenly a realization hit her. Oh no. What if he's seen me in that blasted magazine?! Ugh...please no, not that! She suddenly looked a little uneasy, biting her lip like she usually did while in thought. She HATED it when someone recognized her from that. Meeting a man who had seen her in skimpy lingerie wasn't exactly her favorite thing in the world. God she needed a new job. She was getting sick of being apart of that world. It made life so...awkward sometimes. It was good money though, unfortunately. She huffed to herself, and quickly realized she was spacing out and snapped out of it, turning her attention back on Kenneth.

As she played along with their second introduction, Kenneth couldn't help but smile. She seemed nice enough, even if she set his knees wobbling and his heart thumping. The more Kenneth looked at her, the more he realized just how pretty she was. Oh man. Kenneth thought to himself. Just what have I gotten myself into here? I know I recognize her eyes from somewhere, but I can't remember for the life of me. Not only is she way prettier than I first realized, but she's a friend of Victor's, this is such unknown territory. Kenneth puzzled silently to himself for a moment, almost not hearing speak to him. "Well Kenneth, I really do wish you knew where you thought you knew me from. It's going to eat at me for a while..." She said, her finger placed on her bottom lip, and inspecting him as if she might be able to divine where he knew her eyes from just by looking at him. Kenneth felt himself blush again, and rubbed the back of his neck once more. "I'm really sorry." Kenneth said. "I just don't know where I recognize your eyes from. It's been such a long time since I last saw the ones yours remind me of, it seems I've forgotten her face as well. Ahh!! It is a she, I knew it."

Kenneth remembered a woman's voice. Soft, gentle, and nurturing. She had those eyes, she was so kind to him, but where was she from? What was her name? How did Kenneth know her? There were so many questions to be answered. However, during his own reverie, Kenneth had missed out on Arlette's turning his attention back to her just after she looked back at him. Kenneth thought nothing of it. She must have been trying to remember where he knew her eyes from too. Kenneth spoke up again. "I remember those eyes from a long time ago, with a soft voice. She looked after me... I think. I'm not entirely sure. I just remember those eyes and a gentle voice." Kenneth sighed. "Damn, so close, and yet so far. I'll have to see if I can jog my memory later, we're out of 'us' time. There's Victor." Kenneth said, waving to Victor and calling out to him. "Oi! Victor! Over here ya white-haired idiot!" Kenneth smirked when he called out to him. "Hey man. SO glad you could drop by." Kenneth said, and he was. Kenneth had just about had enough stimulation for one night. He'd been alone with a pretty girl for far too long and was starting to lose his focus as to why he was there. He didn't even remember anymore, all he knew was that he was meeting Victor there with Arlette for dinner. "So?" Kenneth asked Victor, turning to face him after he and Arlette had finished greeting each other. "Where did you have in mind? Any place in particular? Also, I don't care where it is or if we're deciding right now, I have no intention of letting either of you pay. Victor covered me last time without telling me, and I got paid today, so I don't care what we're eating, the bill's mine!" Kenneth said, looking directly at Victor, almost challenging him in the way that friendly rivals do.

Victor was walking around when he heard Kenneth call out to him, he walked towards them shook Kenneth's hand. " So, Where did you have in mind? Any place in particular? Also, I don't care where it is or if we're deciding right now, I have no intention of letting either of you pay. Victor covered me last time without telling me, and I got paid today, so I don't care what we're eating, the bill's mine!" Kenneth said as they shook hands. Victor turned to Arlette and was stunned, he knew she was attractive when he noticed her in the gym, but now she was absolutely gorgeous, "Hello Arlette how are you? And might I add that you look stunning." He said to her shaking her hand before responding to Kenneth "I wouldn't dream of taking that honor from you Kenneth" He said with a sly smile. "Also I have not been contracted for a job in about three months, so no payday in just as long." He explained, although Kenneth being Kenneth probably already knew that. "I honestly do not have any preference tonight, I only came out to eat because I was not in the mood for yet another boring night at home, wherever the two of you desire to eat would be more than fine" He said, he would never pick the restaurant if he was not paying. "However I can offer my recommendations, I do know that this mall contains a wonderful Italian restaurant, although it is a touch pricey, on the other hand there is a restaurant that serves Chinese food, the food is fantastic."

Arlette was surprised at how taken aback Kenneth was about her, and she felt bad that he couldn't remember whom she was reminding him of. By the way he talked about the eyes and kind voice that went with them, this person must have been an important figure to him. He must have been pretty young to not be able to remember, since he didn't look much older than herself. Early twenties she guessed. She was extremely curious now though, she had to admit. But, they would probably never figure out who it was, if anyone at all. It could be just one of those weird things where you think you recognize someone for no reason, but in this instance he seemed pretty sure about it. Arlette was relieved that he hadn't actually recognized her from that stupid magazine, and she relaxed instantly, her body becoming less tense. After a moment she was dragged from her thoughts by Kenneth announcing that Victor had arrived. She turned to see Victor approach, giving him a small friendly wave as he made his way up to them. Victor shook Kenneth's hand, and then extended it out to her. She shook his hand with a surprisingly firm grip just like with Kenneth and released it with a smile on her rosy lips. Her cheeks suddenly turned a bright red at Victor's comment, but she tried to shake it off without it phasing her too much.
"Thank you, it's nice to see you again. Thank you for inviting me!" She responded, beaming. She chuckled at Kenneth's comment about Victor paying last time, and by Victor's response she wasn't quite too sure if he wasn't going to try and do it again. They seemed to be good friends, with a friendly dose of rivalry. She liked that. They appeared to be two perfectly nice gentlemen with a normal friendship, which is just what she needed. Nice, normal people with normal relationships.
When Victor mentioned he hadn't been contacted for a job in a few months, she wondered what he could possibly do for a living. By the way he dressed, he seemed decently well off. Maybe she would ask at dinner if she felt it was okay. She turned her attention to Victor when he offered his recommendations for where to eat. Italian and Chinese huh? Hmm. She put her hand on her growling stomach as if to see if it would tell her what would be best, but of course it didn't, so she made her decision quickly.
"Well, I wouldn't mind some Chinese. I am a sucker for Orange chicken!" She said with a playful wink, getting Victor back for winking at her earlier that day to see what his reaction would be for the fun of it. She was in a good mood, and intended on fully making the best of tonight and having fun, and hopefully making some new friends.

"Well, it's decided then." Kenneth said with a smile, his smirk scar stretching up and giving him an impish appearance. "To the Chinese food." Kenneth said, pointing and leading the charge, marching like a drill sergeant. He got to the restaurant a little earlier than Victor and, not putting anything past the sneaky white haired man, walked up to the front and paid for the table as well as any and all services required for dinner that night. "Here," Kenneth said, handing the woman at the front desk two-hundred dollars. "That should be enough for anything we might order, as well as the tip for your cooks and the person who waits on us. If you need any more, please don't hesitate to ask me, I'm footing the bill tonight, do NOT let the other man pay, ok?" Kenneth said. He wasn't intimidating or mean while he said it at all, in fact he was wearing a very large smile. He spoke softly and gently, as if he were asking for a favor. The maitre d' smiled and nodded her head, "Can do sir, however, this should be more than enough..." Kenneth cut her off, "I wouldn't put it past either of my dinner partners, I'm sure that's quite enough, however, if the case arises, where we order more than I've paid for, please come directly to me, do not accept any money from either of my other dinner partners. Ok?" Kenneth asked. It was imperative that neither of them paid, Kenneth was fighting for this as if his pride itself were on the line. The maitre d' once again nodded, "Absolutely sir," she said.

After a short while, he was joined by his dinner partners, Victor and Arlette, and smiled at their approach, "Alrighty, everything's ready to go, they'll seat us momentarily." Kenneth said. As Victor walked past him, Kenneth shot his hand out, quickly and quietly catching Victor in the stomach with his palm. Simultaneously, he cast a wordless spell that would allow him to manipulate the shoelaces on Victor's left shoe to simply untie them. Kenneth's hand hit Victor with no where near enough force to be painful, or even considered a threatening move, just enough to stop him for a moment and convey that he had something to say to him, which he did. "I've already paid for everything, don't even think about throwing any of your money on this. Please just do me this favor and let me treat you. You've covered me before, and while I always get you back, I want this bill. OK?" Kenneth spoke quietly, far too quietly for a normal human's ears to pick up but plenty loud for a demon.

Kenneth stepped away from Victor, "Dude, shoe's untied. What if you tripped? You'd look awful stupid in front of all these people." Kenneth said with a smirk. "Good thing I'm such a good friend or else you would have made a complete arse of yourself." Kenneth said, a wry smile on his face, full of mischief. However, luckily for everyone, Kenneth's particular brand of mischief is fun, lighthearted, and never serious whatsoever, he'll even let the joke fall on himself just to let everyone have a good laugh.

Kenneth was his usual silly self, marching towards the restaurant quickly. Victor chose to walk slowly with Arlette, they walked together in a comfortable silence. When they arrived Kenneth held out his hand and stopped Victor and made yet another request to pay for the evening Victor just nodded in response. While Kenneth said this Victor felt a small bit of power flow out of Kenneth "probably just some stupid prank Victor thought before Kenneth removed his hand and continued to speak, "Dude, shoes untied. What if you tripped? You'd look awful stupid in front of all these people." Kenneth said with a mischievous smile on his face. "Good thing I'm such a good friend or else you would have made a complete arse of yourself" Kenneth continued with that ridiculous smile still on his face. "Why thank you Kenneth, your spell to untie my boot would have been significantly funnier for everyone around had you let it go." he said smiling back at Kenneth. He has got to learn that I know when he uses magic around me he thought as the hostess appeared and told them their table was ready, "Well shall we?" Victor said to the group and began to follow the hostess. As they sat down she handed them all a menu, "A server will be right with you to take your drink orders" she said smiling at them. Victor took a breath in before speaking, "Well, while we wait for a server why don't we get to know each other better, Arlette what do you do for a living?" Victor asked casually, fully aware she would probably ask him what he did, I'll just have to come up with a decent way to describe what I do without scaring her off, I could do with more friends in town, sometimes Kenneth can be quite annoying. He thought as he awaited Arlette's response, thinking about life and if he would get another job soon, not that he was worried about money, his line of work pays well so he as a large amount of cash in his savings. But Victor was bored and work was always exciting. Maybe I should ask Kenneth if he knows of anything I need to take care of, or maybe I could make sure that hunter I met doesn't die on his mission.

Arlette and Victor walked in silence after Kenneth, who marched his way to the restaurant some distance ahead of them. She glanced sideways at Victor, who was looking straight ahead at Kenneth with a small smile of amusement on his face. She also smiled, and folded her hands behind her back as she sauntered into the restaurant, Kenneth facing them with a large mischievous smile plastered across his face. Arlette raised an eyebrow with a small smirk. Hmm, what was he up to? By the look on the Maitre d's face it looked like she won the lottery, Arlette could practically see the dollar signs in her eyes.
She turned to look at the guys when suddenly Kenneth stopped Victor in his tracks. She could see his lips moving, but his voice was so quiet she couldn't hear even a whisper. She was curious as to what they were saying, but it looked playful enough. Boys will be boys.. She thought, grinning.
Only a few moments later they were greeted and then escorted to their seats, a nice booth next to the window. Arlette let her coat slide from her bare shoulders and slipped it off, draping it over the back of the booth. She pressed her skirt against herself as she sat, scooting in next to Kenneth and across from Victor. The woman who showed them to their seats announced that a server would be there soon to take their drink orders, but for now Arlette took a sip from one of the 3 glasses of water that were waiting or them.
"Well, while we wait for a server why don't we get to know each other better, Arlette what do you do for a living?"
Arlette could barely contain herself from spraying her water back out, but controlled her reaction and swallowed as elegantly as she could. No need to freak out woman..it's just a simple question. Of course it would be asked, it's a typical thing to be asked when getting to know other people. You just don't need to go into full detail... She thought, taking a deep breath. They would probably either be disgusted of her or see her in a new light if they knew, she would rather she kept the rather decent reputation she had so far with them.
Placing her glass back on the table, she smiled pleasantly, "My main occupation is Modeling, although I do some boxing lessons and painting on the side occasionally. My paintings don't really go for much, but i sometimes take them to small bazaars or markets on the weekends." She said, smiling as she subconsciously played with the straw in her water, twirling it in circles. "Mind of I ask what you do? I noticed you mentioned you hadn't been contacted for a job recently..must be nice not having to work all the time."

Arlette took a drink from her water, but seemed almost startled by Victor question, That is strange. It was a simple enough question. he thought to himself as she answered. "My main occupation is Modeling, although I do some boxing lessons and painting on the side occasionally. My paintings don't really go for much, but i sometimes take them to small bazaars or markets on the weekends." She responded to his question after just a moments pause. She sends a smile to Victor "Mind of I ask what you do? I noticed you mentioned you hadn't been contacted for a job recently..must be nice not having to work all the time." She asks him. Victor takes a deep breath and thinks about his response, Well now, how do I answer this without getting myself into trouble? Victor looks toward Kenneth, making eye contact before smiling back at Arlette "I see why you might think that not working would be nice, but honestly I find life boring when I'm not working. If I don't have any work to do I usually end up spending my day training at the gym or bothering Kenneth until he kicks me out." Victor said with a slight chuckle. He reaches for is glass of water and takes a drink from it before continuing. "As for what I do, I am a private contractor with a very specialized set of skills and I deal with very specific problems. I usually take one or two jobs a month but lately business has been slow." A slightly mischievous smile creeps across Victor's face I might be able to distract her from asking for details with Kenneth, sorry buddy but looks like you'll take one for the team here. "Kenneth, since we are all getting so close, why don't you tell Arlette about your carreer as well?" His hand subconsciously drifts towards Yamato's handle as it often does when Victor doesn't know what to say or do.

Kenneth wasn't really paying attention to much of anything. Arlette had scooted in next to him and he was much too busy having, what looked like, a minor panic attack. He was beginning to sweat, his eyes were starting to roll up into his head, and his cheeks were becoming slightly blushed. 'Of course.' Kenneth thought snappily at himself. 'The beautiful woman sat next to me, instead of Victor -SCORE! TAKE THAT YA ASSHOLE!- and now I have no idea what's to do. Congrats Kenneth, you're well on your way to living a long, lonely life.' During his fit, Kenneth really only picked up on the words, "occupation, modeling, private contractor," and "specific problems." The last two were Victor, 'Nice dodge on the whole, 'We kill demons for a living, isn't that nice?' bit.' Kenneth thought slyly to himself. The first two, however, made Kenneth completely snap out of his fit, sit up straight, and take a casual sip from the glass of water closest to him, making sure not to grab Arlette's or Victor's. Arlette was a model. It all made sense. She was beautiful, she was wearing some nice clothes... and she was hanging out with Victor? Ok, so the last one made no sense, but the first two presented a wonderful truth to Kenneth. He could relax! There was no way in hell he'd be able to do anything that would ever get a model to come home with him. Sure he could be friendly, but there was no future there! He didn't have to be impressive, which wasn't that hard next to his buddy Victor. Still, it made him feel better, and Kenneth instantly loosened up. Then Victor spoke up again.

"Kenneth, since we are all getting so close, why don't you tell Arlette about your carreer as well?" Kenneth subtly shot him the dirtiest look he possibly could. 'Nice man. I thought we were off the whole 'We kill demons! Did everyone get that? We're Angels! Everyone got it? You all understand? Good.' Thing.' Kenneth smiled, turning his attention to Arlette. "I, like Victor, also take on specific jobs tackling specific problems. In fact, I've partnered up with Victor before, for the bigger jobs." Kenneth said, trying to be as vague, and simultaneously descriptive as possible. "That's just my side gig though. More recently, I've taken to Venture Capitalism." Kenneth explained. He then launched into a long and slightly funny prepared speech about just what Venture Capitalism was with as many strange, and simultaneously secretly dirty, hand gestures as possible. If Kenneth got to be awkward, so did everyone else! "So basically," Kenneth said in summation. "I have an amount of money. I use that money to start up businesses that I feel are worthwhile. I make that money back, along with a slick little profit, and then start over." Kenneth finished. "Make sense?" Kenneth asked, however, before anyone could answer, Kenneth spotted their waitress walking directly towards their table. She was finished with her other tables and was finally coming around to them. "Ooh, and we're out of time. Do you all know what you want? Our waitress is back." Kenneth said.
