a character in “Diamonds to Ashes”, as played by prophetic_fury

Age: 24

Height: 5ft. 10in.

Weight: 167lbs

Eye Color: Green

Hair Color: Dirty Blonde

Description: Trent sports a well built physique. His body is what is expected of man that makes his living through hard labor. His eyes usually dart about in search of a hidden danger. Keeping his head up he hopes his confidence will dissuade potential criminals. He keeps his hair short for easy and one less thing for an enemy to grab.

Trent chooses his clothes for utility rather than fashion. A white t-shirt (sometimes black or brown) usually stained with grease or other lubricants, over this he wears a pair of orange mechanics over-alls. The knees and shins are padded and painted black. The over-alls hold fast with suspeneders over his t-shirt, and sport plenty of large pockets for parts and tools. HIs over-alls are draped over a pair of tan steel-toe work boots. A pair of goggles are usually found strapped to his forhead pushing up into his bangs.

Personality: Trent is a casual man. He rarely looks more than a day ahead. He has given up on make plans. In his experience goals never seem to pan out so why bother. As long as he can get a meal and a place to stay the man is doing fine. Trent buries himself in his work and has few hobbies. In work he can excell and enjoy the feeling of a task accomplished. This fact makes it hard for him to connect with anyone outside of his occupation. He feels under-appreciated in his current tasking though and is starting of tire of menial tasks.

Trent feels he doesn't have a role to play in the restoration of the human race. He is rather bitter when it comes to the salvage drifters that make up the majority of his people. Dreamers and wishers, he sees them. It's time they finally swallowed the truth the galaxy has thrown at them and stop staring into the future with starry eyes.

Skills: Trent is an undervalued mechanic. He spent his childhood learning the ins-and-outs of starship engines and systems. Trent's has a very keen memory and mind, enabling him to troubleshoot and repair most defiencies while the competition is still knee deep in technical manuals. He has learned to handle himself well with his fists in a brawl though.

History: Born aboard a drifter colony to a pair of loving mechanics. His mother specialized in electronics, while his father loved engines. Trent spent most of his early years accompanying his parents while they performed their duties. His father would regale him with tales of Trent's grandfather and of the engineering projects, Ol' Carson Keller, was performing for the government back on Earth. Trent's father told him of the days the Legion and Ary'a had battled in the stars, and how Carson was busy at work almost every day. All was not happy forever though. Poor sanitation and extremely close quarters aboard the ship allowed disease to fester. At age sixteen a devastating bacterial infection began ripping through the colony. Trent watched as both his mother and father wilted away in pain for days before finally succumbing. It wasn't long after that Trent packed up and ran away into the cosmos. For many years he spent jumping from ship to station and back to ship performing odd jobs and mechanical work. For the past two years Trent has been working at Gabin Frontier Dockyard. The Gabin race are smaller than humans and rather hateful towards them. Many times he's been jumped and nearly robbed on his way to his dorm. Only a handful of humans work at the dockyard and most are janitorial staff. Out of discrimantion the Gabin foreman continues to force Trent to work jobs well below his skill level.

So begins...
