The Bare Necessities
Powers/Abilities:
Mulan doesn't have any powers, per say, but she has plenty of abilities. She is fully trained as a soldier in the Chinese army, and she's quite good at thinking on her feet.
Strengths:
Mulan knows her way with a sword, and is a great warrior overall. She also has a good knack for thinking up plans on the fly, and just defying the odds in a general sense.
Weaknesses:
Mulan is still very much human, and has weaknesses and flaws. At times she can be insecure about herself and what's she's doing. Her sense of duty and honor can also cloud her judgment at times, as well.
Fears:
There is very little that Mulan fears these days. But if there's one thing she does fear, it's losing what she has left of her family.
Quirks:
Mulan is a bit clumsy, and she has a habit of making quite the fool of herself at times. Otherwise, she isn't a real quirky individual.

Deeper into the Rabbit Hole
Goals:
To defeat the Huns and kill Shan Yu, stop this Coalition in general, and restore peace and prosperity to her ravaged homeland.
Significant Relationships
Mulan made quite a few friends during her stay in the army, though she's unsure if any of them are even alive now.
Most significantly, she got quite close with Captain Shang, and later married him some time after the Hun Invasion. Mulan loved Shang deeply, and wished to start a family with him, before her life collapsed around her. There isn't a day that goes by that Mulan doesn't grieve Shang's death, and wish that he was still alive. He was a great man, and she will never forget him.
Family
Mulan had a small, but close-knit, family consisting of her mother, father, and grandmother. Her grandmother had passed away some time before the Huns returned, so she was thankfully spared seeing that madness, but her mother was unfortunately slain during the Hun attack on her village. Thankfully, her father still lives, and Mulan is determined to see that he stays that way. Her mother and husband may be dead, but she isn't losing her father too!
Personality:
At her core, Mulan tries to be a kind and sweet young woman, friendly to everyone around her. Still, she isn't quite a 'normal' girl, so to speak; she does not fit in with the expectations of a young girl in her culture. Despite her natural beauty, she is clumsy, outspoken, and independent, rather than graceful, obedient, silent and demure. However, her courage, intelligence, and determination, has helped her through her adventures, so Mulan tends to take pride in her 'abnormal' traits.
History:
Mulan has had quite an extensive history, to say the least.
Her life was mostly unremarkable until the Huns invaded China, sometime after she had turned 16 years old. Mulan's veteran, crippled father was called into service, but she did not want him to die out there on the battlefield, so she stole his armor and orders in the middle of the night, planning on posing as his son so he wouldn't have to go himself.
Mulan had a rough time of fitting in at the army camp, at first, but after awhile she earned the respect and trust of Captain Shang and her comrades. After a certain point Mulan's unit was called into service, to join the main army in fighting the Huns. When they arrived at the rendezvous coordinates, however...
It was a massacre. The entirety of the Chinese army had been slaughtered by the Huns, including Shang's own father. Soon after Mulan and the other soldiers engaged the Huns in fighting too, though it did not last long. In a bout of quick thinking, Mulan took their last remaining canon and fired it at a nearby mountain peak, unleashing an avalanche with her explosion. Mulan survived the fallout of the natural disaster, but not before being wounded by Shan Yu; she later fell unconscious due to blood loss, and was patched up by the unit's doctor.
As a result, however, it was discovered she was a woman. Chi Fu, the Emperor's adviser, ordered for her execution, but Shang decided to spare her life instead. Mulan sulked on the mountain for a brief time after she was abandoned, until the unthinkable happened.
Shan Yu and a select number of the Huns had survived the avalanche, and made way to the Imperial City. Hoping to stop them, Mulan got her act together and raced after them, arriving at the capital in the nick of time. The Huns launched their ambush just as Shang presented the sword of Shan Yu to the Emperor, kidnapping China's leader in the process.
What followed was quite the intense battle. Mulan banded together with Captain Shang and three other soldiers of her unit, and together they defeated the Huns and rescued the Emperor. Shan Yu and his remaining forces were dead by the end of this engagement, and the Emperor himself awarded Mulan for her deeds.
Several years passed, and life moved on. Mulan retired to a more quiet and peaceful life back home, eventually marrying Shang a few years later. She was even ready to start a family with him, when everything went wrong.
Somehow, through some sort of evil and twisted magic, Shan Yu and his Hun army were brought back to life. They carved their way through China and sacked the Imperial City before the Emperor could raise up the army, executing the elderly man before the frightened and cowed citizenry. Eventually the Hun hoard made its way to her village. Mulan put up a brave fight with the men of her village, including her father and husband, to buy time for the rest of the village to evacuate, but in the end, it was just too much.
The small squad of Huns sent to conquer her village were dead by the end of the engagement, but so was just about everyone else. When the fight was over, Mulan was bloody and wounded, her husband and mother were dead, her father was badly wounded, and her entire life was thrown upside down.
After a time, Mulan retreated with her father and Mushu, tending to their wounds, as they evaded Hun patrols. two months has passed since this horrible event, and Mulan has only one thing in mind, now that she's recovered: revenge.
The Huns, Shan Yu especially, will pay for what they have done to China, and to her family. They will regret the day they messed with Fa Mulan.
