Nicknames: "Oh please. I do feel that 'Bas' would rather suit a seventy year old prostitute, as apposed to myself. Just keep to Basil."
Age: 23
Disney Movie: Basil, The Great Mouse Detective
Birthday: 2nd July
Gender: "You can't tell? Hmph. You must be more idiotic than I thought..." Male.
Sexuality: "Romance isn't a speciality of mine..." Bisexual.
The only memory left: I remember being in a toy store... It was really rather bizarre. Myself and a chubby... mouse, chasing after a scrawny bat with a peg leg... Extraordinary, the things the mind can create..."

Likes:
  • Drama's, Crime's and Scandals. -"I honestly can't see any harm enjoying these. It's a real challenge for my mind to figure them out. Anyone can do it. All you need to do is think."
  • People who speak with the Queen's English. -"Those who speak with 'slang' and such just seem to irritate me."
  • Tea and Smoking. -"It really does help me think..."
  • Playing the violin and composing.
  • Reading.
  • Toby, the dog. -"My one true companion. Although he's an idiot, he's an idiot that'll always be by me."
  • Mixing up chemicals and experiments. -"Sometimes, I just do it to see what happens. And it usually ends in some sort of explosion..."

Dislikes:
  • The people who try to act smarter than himself. Or, when he's beaten at something and tricked. "..." *No comment*
  • Having someone dear to me in trouble. -"It's usually their fault... But there's not many people dear to me anyway. I don't have friends."
  • Rat's. -"I despise them terribly. They're just so... filthy."
  • The Arrogance and boldness of some people -"I'm not a fan of those who are... Out there and... too fond of themselves. In reality, they're the worst looking, and dim-witted ones."
  • Leaving something unsolved -"Even a humble crossword puzzle, I can not leave it with blank spaces. It's just a nuisance."

Fears:
  • Agraphobia -Fear of being sexually abused. -"I mean... what kind of sick sod would want that? That could be Virginitiphobia (Fear of rape) too, but that's more or less the same difference, isn't it?
  • Decapitation -"Honestly? Reasoning? Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather not be chopped up whilst still alive or awake. Imagine watching the blade slice through your limb and suddenly no longer having it. I've seen enough crime scene's in the books to know that it's not pretty..."
  • Cats -"Around them I just... freeze up. They really do scare me, and it truly is ridiculous, and I know it..."

Personality:

Well, if you've met me at all, you'll know that I'm smart and unafraid to show it. I guess I'm a bit of a show off really. But what is there to hide about it? It's easy to tell the life story of someone by the way they speak and the objects they possess. It just takes a little extra thinking. I think to others, I must come off rather arrogant and pretty annoying. Well what they don't realise is half the time, they annoy me too. I kinda get a thrill out of danger. Sure, you could lose your life, but what more have I got to live for? The chase is rather wonderful if you ask me. Puzzles are one thing that I'm slightly obsessed with. That and books. Both are rather fantastical and will keep me occupied for quite a long time. I rely mainly on my brain, but it's not like I'm physically unfit. I do an awful lot of running about and therefore manage to keep myself in shape. And I do know a little bit of defence. Though against someone who's a master of some sort of martial arts, I may not always turn up on top. I am, after all, more developed in the brains department

I think that being this way is kind of a downfall too. When I go into my mind deeply, I'm less aware of the things going on around me, and I notice a lot less than usual. I notice a lot when I'm my normal self, so this is a real downfall for me. I think you'll also find a weakness of mine is that... well, have you heard the phrase 'curiosity killed the cat'? As much as I hate felines, I do feel that this applies to me. Sometimes I just try to find out too much, and I know it could get me into a real sticky situation... Though that said, my curiosity when experimenting and such can be quite intriguing and exciting for others. Although you may not think it, I am rather good at acting as well. To those who don't know me, I may approach them in any way and get away with creating a marvellous first appearance without them even doubting that I am actually this way. It's rather funny actually when you think about it. But then again, this may not be a surprise when you see how easily I can depict someone and get information out of them.

Most people who meet me believe that I'm rather cold hearted, old Fashioned and rude. However, I can be a bit of a softy. I just rarely show it. Although I may act as though kids annoy me, some of them can appeal to my better nature. That, and although it's shown in very concealed ways, I can be caring to others. I think, since no one seems to identify this, I can be incredulously lonely... You realise, I would never admit that... I mean, I have my dog, Toby, but, I guess a human companion or a friend to act smarter than or... well... just to depend on, and know that I have someone there to help me... Well...That would be... nice... I know that if I were to gain a friend, I would be silently very attached to them. Probably act mean, but... Well, Maybe, just maybe, life would be different with them.

Biography:

Before the island...
This tiny hero is Basil, a Holmes-like rodent who solves crimes in the company of his friend and chronicler Dr. Dawson. Basil and Dawson are retained by the daughter of a mouse toymaker, Olivia, who has been kidnapped by the diabolical Ratigan. The villain hopes to force the toymaker to construct a fake version of the queen who will grant power to the bad guy--or at least, for that part of the world behind the walls of London. Through a series of events, including entering a toy store for clues and finding the large dopey dog Toby, having Olivia kidnapped and having to rescue her from Ratigan and his henchman, though nearly eliminated by Ratigan, Basil and Dawson trap the villain in the fast-moving mechanisms of Big Ben. Basil almost died himself in the process, but rescued himself by riding on the mechanisms of a blimp. The toymaker was reunited with his Olivia and then Basil invited Dawson to solve crimes with him, which he happily accepted. However, it wasn't long after this that Basil was taken away from his new friendship and put onto the island, laying on the sand with an overgrown body, small ears and a lack of fur and a tail.

On the island...
"My mind has been going mad ever since we've gotten here. I'm missing something. Something big and special and it's aggravating that I can't figure it out. I feel like I'm someone who should be able to figure things out. I can work out what some of these people are like just by looking at their clothes, their stance, their eyebrows, and yet I can't even remember a single thing about myself. It's something that I'll be looking into more and more the longer I'm here... I know it will... Oh, the people here? Well, in my opinion, most of them are pretty narrow-minded. Most women here seem to have a knack for singing and are looking for love. Am I the only one curious as to how I got here and who I was before?!" The tall man sighs softly as he rubs at his temples in a circular motion, gently tussling his own black curls as he attempts to soothe his mind. "...Yes, the island's lovely. And I guess... Most people are not... that bad... but that's besides the point. I do not have time for friends. I'm determined to not only find out my history, but the history of most people here. And I really don't care how long it takes."

Anything else?He has a Basset Hound named Toby That he got when he was on the island. Not a typical sniffer dog, but one that seems suitable to Basil. ((Also, did you know that Basil was named Basil in the film because the original actor for Sherlock Holmes was Basil Rathbone?))
