P e r s o n a l i t y : I think I'm a pretty great guy. I mean, I'm nice, helpful-- I'd even venture to say I'm heroic. I will go out of my way to try and help or protect someone. Some people may consider me vain. I mean, I do like myself, and I try to take good care of my body and I take pride in my physical achievements. I mean, if I can't take care of myself and keep in shape, how am I supposed to take care of anyone else? Socially, I like to have a good time and goof off with guys, and yeah, I love the ladies. I would consider myself a gentleman, though. But it seems like a lot of the girls here take my attempts at chivalry the wrong way.

Before the island: Hercules was born on Mount Olympus to parents Hera and Zeus, the king of the gods. While his birth was a joyous occasion for most, His uncle Hades, the lord of the Underworld wanted to have him killed. He learned from the Fates that if Hercules fights, Hades's plan to unleash the titans and take over Mount Olympus would be ruined. Hades knew that he could not kill Hercules as an immortal god, and told two of his minions, Pain and Panic, to kidnap Hercules from Mount Olympus and to give him a potion that would make him mortal. They did so, although Herculed did not finish every last drop of the potion and therefor still kept his godlike strength, and Pain and Panic were unable to kill him.
Baby Herc was found by Amphytryon and Alcmene, who had been unable to have children and considered Hercules an answer to their prayers to the gods. When Zeus and Hera finally found Hercules, they discovered that he was now mortal and therefore could not return to live on Mount Olympus, so they left him in the care of his loving adoptive parents. As he grew, he was clumsy and awkward and could never quite control his godly strength, which usually ended in him wreaking havoc and being labeled a freak and a menace by those around him.
After one such disastrous incident, his parents finally decide to tell him how they had found him, and showed him a medallion that had been around his neck bearing the symbol of the gods. Hercules decided to travel to the Temple of Zeus for guidance. While he was at the temple, Zeus himself appeared embodied in a stone statue of himself and told Hercules that he was his father. He told him that he could not live on Mount Olympus as a mortal, but if he became a "True Hero" he could regain his status as a god. He was reunited with Pegasus, which had been a gift from Zeus when he was born, and was sent to find Philoctetes, a satyr, who would train him to be a hero.
After much time training with Philoctetes, it was time to prove himself as a hero in Thebes. People were skeptical of him at first, but he began gaining celebrity as a hero as he started to defeat monsters and disasters that that were wreaking havoc on the city. He returned to the Temple of Zeus to tell him of all he had accomplished, only to learn that he still wasn't considered a true hero. It was as he was leaving the temple that he fell from the story onto the island.
On the island: It has been an interesting week since I woke up with no memories here on the island. Seems like everyone is in the same boat. I've had a little bit of time to look around. There's this mall, and it's got a gym. I spend a lot of time there working out. Oh, and Max's hangout is great too. Honestly, this place isn't bad at all, it's just... I wish I knew just exactly where I belong. You know?
