Personality:
“Well I’ve been known for acting like a dude quite a lot. I guess I have a lot of qualities that remind others of guys. But hey, like I give a flying ape shit about it! I mean, I am who I am. And if I’m someone who has all the attitude and spunk that a chick shouldn’t have, well I don’t care. I’m definitely a tomboy that you won’t want to mess with. Especially when I’m angry. TRUST ME! When I’m mad, I’ll rant till your ears burn off. But hey, don’t like it, then I’ll always shut up when the quiet ones seem to explode in my face. Heh, I guess I react well to surprises. But what can you expect? I think that I’m pretty accepting towards others. I seem to be able to befriend most, and although they may not understand my sarcastic humour, I guess it’s just something people have to get used to with me.
I’m a very playful girl. I enjoy playful wrestling and fighting, often shouting abuse at the people I care about. You know, all in a joking manner. I do like flirting, but I find I’m never one to start it. I guess relationships and such has never been a big wow-factor for me. Just thinking about kissing one of the guys is… Ugh, it makes me feel queasy actually. Somebody, get me a bucket! I suppose I’m certainly no princess that waits in her tower for true loves first kiss or any of that crap. I’m a bit more of the girl who’d ram herself against the walls before jumping out of the window and finding her own way out. Independence, that’s what it’s called honey. And I don’t find romance to be a strong point in that independence. I love to find my inner rhythm and drum on anything nearby. Jamming is probably my love. Just having a bunch of guys around, hitting things and making a groovy beat, I can’t help but shake the tooshie. I think I must have the jungle rhythm within me. I think you’ll find with me, if I’m dealt something sad, I’ll take it out on others and have ‘emotional constipation’. When that happens, I need someone to snap me out of it, and then I’ll go back to my normal self. I fight for what I think is right, and you can’t take that away from me. Although I do more or less anything for my closest buddies, I do believe that I do what I think is right… (even if I'm wrong…)”
Biography:
Before the island…
Terk is one of the young female gorilla’s in Tarzan’s ape family. She is one of the few people to go see Tarzan whilst he’s a baby and says, “He’s pretty funny looking, that’s what he is.” However, after Tarzan fumbles with her hair and climbs over her a bit, Terk sees some sort of cuteness in him. It’s at this point, that Terk seemed to become like a big sister to Tarzan. She seemed to be very protective of him, but at first, seemed a little embarrassed to be friends with him. It’s only later, when Tarzan tries to get an elephant hair, that she sees the extent at which Tarzan would try to gain a few friends. It’s from then on out that she was BEST friend and proud of it. She went on many little adventures with him, watching him go from boy to man, still unknowing to what he truly was. However, things went a little downhill when the humans came along. Her first REAL encounter was when they went down to the human camp and Terk started to make rhythm’s out of a type-writer, smashing a few plates, and banging a few spoons on some teapots. However, that seemed to attract the humans to return, and she had her first encounter with Jane. Things for the family seemed to go down from there. Tarzan stayed with them less and less, hardly seeing any of them at all. Until, one day, Tarzan came to her and told her to dress up in the human clothes. She was… unamused, to say the least. But, she did it anyway. However, when they returned, she found that the humans were with their family, and Kurchack was FUMING! Tarzan protected the humans and tried to keep them in safety. Later, when Tarzan decides to go with the humans, Terk and Tantor hear Tarzan’s cry of anguish and after Terk is confronted with her ‘emotional constipation’, Tantor and Terk go and save Tarzan, Jane, Professor Pott’s and all. They return to find Clayton and the pirates trying to lock up the gorillas. After a battle, Clayton is dead, as is Kurchack, but Tarzan decides to stay. As does Jane. However, it was the point at witnessing the two of them exchanging a kiss that Terk found herself blacking out and arriving somewhere new…
On the island…
“Well… I can’t remember a thing… and trying to look back on it makes my head hurt. It’s a real pain in the head, thinking too hard. I try not to do it often. So far, this island has turned out to be one of the best things that has happened to me though. I don’t know what my life was like before, but I’ve tried alcohol, and MAN! I ain’t never going back! That, and have you SEEN the things around here? I’ll admit, I’m found smashing things more than actually using them. But I’m pretty sure the grooves I’ve gotten out of them all sound great in the end! The people around here are real great though! I’ve found myself hanging around the guys more than the girls. The girls I do stick with are seen as being more… Well, tomboy-ish. Like me! I will say, there’s some people that I… eeeeh… I just can’t put myself out there to really understand. I mean, they’re all too quiet or nice! I mean, it’s kinda cute. But it’s also a little annoying. Something I don’t think I can get over with some people. I’ve been called a guy at least twice since I’ve been here… I don’t get it. Do I look like a guy to you? Don't answer that. But I'm warning ya, You don't wanna mess with me sweetheart!"
Anything else?Has had a knack for drumming ever since she arrived at the Island.
