God Name: Kairos & Laylandra
Titles:The Stormcaller, The Mageweavers, The Hidden, Keeper of the Book, The Elder, The Younger, The Broken God. Maiden of the storm.
Holy Symbol: The Sign of Magic - A ancient tome standing open with a clasp placed across over the inside of the spine and decorated in runes and with a single purple gemmed eye staring outwards.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Portfolio: Magic, Storm and Knowledge
Patron of: Travellers, scholars, Magic users, Fishermen
Gender: Male and Female respectively
Appearance: Both deities are in essence a personification of magic at their core and this is often represented in their outward appearance being formed from storm clouds wreathed in lightning as they exude pure energy. And when you stare into their eyes you can see the depths of the knowledge kept at their core.
At first glance they can seem quite imposing, especially when they’re caught up in their elemental as the gods mirror the nature of the domain in their mercurial nature. Despite this Laylandra is often the more easily approachable of the pair as Kairos rarely maintains a stable or solid form, being naturally disposed to existing as the very personification of the raging storm clouds which encircled the world.
Though when Layla does wish to appear among the mortals she often takes upon the guise of a dark-skinned woman with piercing blue eyes and raven hair.
Opinion of mortals:Layla sees them as interesting and creative creatures and often delights in inspiring them to create new magic or attain greater understanding of themselves and others. Kairos on the other hand has very little if any interest or care for them and while he does enjoy seeing their progress or innovation beyond that he rarely acknowledges them.
God’s Domain: WIP
Avatar Name: Kae’larotrax the first-born
Alias: Kae'la
Title(s)/Rank: The first-born, Dragonqueen
Avatar Appearance: Kae'la often appears as a youthful girl with long silvery blonde hair and bright eyes while her body is covered in tribal markings across her skin which mirror the marks across her natural form.
Age: Unknown, but confirmed to be before the great conflict.
Personality: Despite her age Kae'la is a rather playful creature and harbours a love of tricks which cause her to invent a myriad of ways to invoke laughter and surprise in others whenever she can. Though she does exude an aura of merriment and warmth to those she meets when roused to anger she can become equally as fearsome as she turns her vast knowledge towards suffering instead. Part of the reason she wanders the world seeking to learn from and teach those she encounters is because she feels a disconnect from the world and those in it which comes in flashes that mirror the discord of her patrons; so she hopes to calm them and herself by engaging the mortal races to embrace their full potential.
Magic Abilities: As the Avatar of the gods of magic Kae'la has an almost unequalled grasp of the intricate nature of magic which allows her to perceive the complex weave that each spell becomes and narrow those down to their bare threads allowing her to unravel even the most intricate incantation given time. In ages past she’s used this understanding to turn the tide of numerous conflicts though now she more often lets her experience weave a magic all its own as she teaches what she knows to younglings in the hope of advancing their studies.
Terrain Preference: Mountains. The Storm-born Islands are a roughly hewn chain of mountains that form a demi continent in the southern seas. Permanently ringed with storms and turbulent waters it is a rather unknown land since few venture there but for those that have in the past the coast is littered with traitorous rocks just below the surface to serve as a final warning to all those who run afoul of their keen edge.
Name of Kingdom/Empire: Lindórinand
Capital: Meneltarma
Major Cities: None
Society: The Dragons of the world, regardless of their cultures down through the ages all agree on their firstborn, the Dragonqueen. But in turn they also afford a modicum of respect for the order of Storm Dragons who guard the histories and artefacts of their kind.
While some dragons are more than happy to meddle in the affairs of other mortal races and others prefer to stay clear the dragons who make their home on the Storm Isles as many are of the mind to leave them be unless provoked. The mix of breeds on these islands varies as many herald from other clans to study or live with their elders but the majority still lies firmly with the Storm Dragons who made these lightning ringed mountains their home and build upon them and within a sprawling city of wonder.
Each flight of dragons, with but one or two exceptions is usually a closely knit group bonded through blood with an oligarchy of the eldest dragons at their head. While each of these conclaves effectively governs itself and all those of its clan they all offer fealty and obedience to their Queen despite her self-imposed absence from any such position of power save for the historical fact of her legacy.

Background:
During the war between the archaic gods and their younger counterparts life was not easy for the gods of magic as while they simply sought to maintain the flow of energies throughout the world they were swept up in the conflict. At first Laylandra spoke out against both sides, citing a need for peace and cooperation while Kairos ignored events, preferring to focus on his own matters as he had always done. However when his counterpart was wounded by one of the younger gods it brought him to rage and from that point on the god of magic were fully dedicated to the destruction of these upstarts, even if Laylandra still tried to stay Kairos’ killing hand as best she could. In the great war more often than not Kairos was venturing alone against his enemies with little regard for himself or for anything of import save returning with their heads and as such his control of magic had become irrational and out of control.
It was during one of his hunts that the young gods and their minions decided to try and remove the merciful goddess and they stormed the great temple at heavy cost but succeeded in capturing their quarry and almost in ending her had the fighting not caused Kairos to return to her aid. Even so they were both outnumbered and on the verge of being overwhelmed when Kairos channelled the last of his fading lifeforce to protect his love and smite those who threatened her. The result was catastrophic, calling down unquenchable fire and lightning that fed on the magical energies leaking from his wounds they tore apart the once beautiful temple and devoured the intruders in a maelstrom of chaos. Kairos himself was almost lost as well save for the ministrations of Laylandra that spared his life, however the cost had taken what remained of his mind and left him a broken husk of pain and confusion. Since that day the ancient gods have been at odds with one another more than ever with Kairos barely able to focus on events.
These days he exists primarily as the heart of the storms that roam the seas, appearing at most as a shadowy figure from time to time but vanishing almost as soon as he appears. Despite his disconnect from the world at large his love for his other half is the only thing that grounds him and for the most part they serve to balance eachother; ensuring that in his addled state he doesn’t completely descend into the madness he verges upon and unleash his fury upon the world.
If one seeks an audience with Magic itself then it is to be expected to deal with contradictions at every turn.
