Markings
Faint and numerous as throughout time people thought marking the genie would make him theirs exclusively.
"You get three wishes. Yadda yadda, read a book and make them count."
| MANIPULATIVE | CALCULATING | OBEDIENT | HUMOROUS | LEVELED |
The shallow side is the initial response Evander gives to people. But can he be blamed? Serving a bunch of fools for over a century is bound to get exasperating. He only has to serve them not treat them kindly unless they wish otherwise; it's in the job description. However he tries not to creep under the master's skin too much in case they invent a wish that can have bad consequences for him.
Inside, there's an active human with abnormal abilities with the purpose of slavery. Some days he doesn't mind this, other days he does. But he would never allow his master to see the animate side to him. Being underestimated is often the upper-hand he has.

Strengths/Abilities/Skills
- Granting Wishes: A power all genies have.
Sly: A necessary trait for a genie to have some control of situations.
Manipulative: Again another power matter so he can perhaps put to use where it goes with some masters and trick them for his own or amusing outcomes
Observational: To be witty and sly Evander must know his master so he takes careful observation of them until they can be classified as somewhat predictable
Adaptability: Evander can speak and blend into the necessary society his master resides in.
Weaknesses/Flaws
- Pretty doe eyes: When he gets to know his master on a somewhat personal level and finds their eyes innocent, he can get distracted and confused with duty
His arrogance: Sometimes, Evander can get ahead of himself and forget his place.
"Sometimes I felt genuinely loyal to my masters"
He is unable to reflect on all his previous masters in details but when friend turned on friend it was flattering yet predictable. He's been around the block with masters. Some were spoiled, mean, nice, needy, cruel, reckless, wise, the list goes on. To some it was like he was a slave and others a good friend.
"The common mistake is people not taking genies for beings with their own thoughts and feelings"
