Description:
Although none in Claire's family have been athletes, they are built with the potential for it, all tall and toned, able to develop muscles with less effort than others. Such is the physique of Claire, with toned arms that hint the strength beneath them. She is relatively pretty, with prominent eyebrows that she once hated but now adores, and dark hair matched with similarly dark eyes. Basic appearance aside, she is a sloppy dresser, typically seen in T-shirts and sweats or jeans. V-necks and jeans are her definition of dolling up, although she has been known to occasionally wear patterned blouses when in the mood. Her at rest face is rather intense, but once she begins speaking the girl has an expressive face that can be read like a book.
{ Focused, Competitive, Loyal, Sincere, Goofy }
Claire might come off as somewhat goofy when around her friends, but all who know her recognize that the young woman has an intense sort of focus, probably nurtured by a childhood of athletics and a competitive streak a mile wide. When she is interested in something, her vision will often tunnel onto it, and while she is thus able to focus her energy and work hard on these things, it is not always a good thing. She can be somewhat nearsighted, not seeing the importance of things that don't make the cut into her circle of priorities. More infuriating, for her at least, is the fact that what she focuses on sometimes does not take her desires into consideration. More often than not she will be stuck overanalyzing things that don't matter, or spend hours researching a topic that she isn't genuinely curious about, but has become caught up in. It is difficult for her to stop something once she's begun it-- most often it simply needs to run its, wherever that may lead her.
This focus applies to people and competitions as well. Being a twin is probably what contributed to Claire's desire to set herself apart, and she's often found competition to be a way to do it. Whether it be the basketball team, grades, etc, she can be rather competitive. She isn't the sort to get bitter about it, Daniel helped to prevent that, but just like with all else she does run the risk of getting carried away with things, and it shows. On the bright side, it also leads her to be an intensely loyal person. Outside of unimportant matters like friendly competition, she considers supporting a friend the default. This is something she learned from her parents, though her inability to accept when a friend has lied to her may be a problem derived from that. When it comes to friends, she can be altogether too naive and idealistic, and it has the potential to backfire. Luckily for her, it hasn't so far. But college is a different world than high school, of course.
A sheltered childhood is clear in Claire's goofy sense of humor and sincerity, things frequently overtaken by cynicism and sarcasm in others. She loves corny jokes, silly pranks, and things that are so dumb they're wonderful. She's a typically honest people, and simply expects the same from others --perhaps part of her slight naivete. She says what she means, and makes jokes that are impossibly terrible, and friends tend to either love or hate these two traits. But it's just Claire. She's stupid and naive, focused and competitive, and not always the most unique of individuals but quite content to be herself for the most part.

Claire was three years old when she and her family moved out of Hungary to live in the US, and thus the home of her parents has become little more than a vacation spot visited every summer and the occasional winter when they tour Europe and meet up with relatives whose faces she rarely sees. That being said, she was raised with the Hungarian language, and carried an accent until she began formal schooling. Her dropping the accent was accelerated by peers poking fun at it, but it was inevitable anyway. She was raised by parents with a strong work ethic and desire for their children to succeed in whatever they pursued. They put Claire and her twin brother, Daniel, into gymnastics at a young age to teach them discipline and fitness. This is the source of much of her habits today, although she outgrew gymnastics when she began to tower over the other girls. The child of an engineer and economics teacher, it is no surprise that Claire has been raised to put great emphasis on academics, and throughout high school she was one of those who seemed to focus on little else but academics and extra curriculars, her social life placed on the back burner frequently. Debate, Basketball, and School defined her life, and while this landed her an excellent scholarship, it does mean that she is only used to a small social sphere. She joined the dodgeball team at the behest of her brother, who had planned on playing defense but had been unable to due to an injury. She's focused and competitive regarding it, but it is likely she will place it second to academics [her ambition perhaps putting her at risk of letting down the team].
