Alok

Stupid humans! They think they own everything!

0 · 352 views · located in Alaska, Earth

a character in “Dog and Wolf”, as played by Grim_reaper

Description

Name:: Alok
Nickname:: Loki, Al
Age:: 1-1.5 years
Gender:: Male

Rank:: Omega
Personality:: Alok is a headstrong young wolf who really, really hates humans. He enjoys scareing the humans when they go on raids but always stays in line. He always looks out for the pack and fights his hardest, never giving up, no matter what. His actions are always for his pack (so he says) and never wants to see anyone get hurt.
History:: Alok was born and raised in the pack. He loved playing with the other pups his age and never thought about a lack in food. As he grew up, the food was slowly diminishing and that meant scraps for him. He would go out on hunting trips and only bring back a doe or a fawn. They started to raid the humans homes, searching for food, for life. He hated the pained expressions everyone wore when they where hungry. They had to move, but he didn't want to leave the home he grew up in. He was angry with humans and always has a sensation to kill them.

Veiw on Dogs:: "Dogs?...Their okay, i mean, i could care less... No, who am i kidding? I hate dogs! They're freinds with the humans that are killing our pack! Who could ever like them?!"
Veiw on Humans:: *Snarles* "I HATE HUMANS! I hope they rot like fox dung!"

Appearance in words:: Alok has very fuzzy fur that is soft to the touch. His fur is white with gray splashed on his back and head. It kind of looks like someone took a washed-out grey paint and dumped it on his head and back. The fur around his paws is a light red from killing animals though it's fading and his tail tip has a splash of grey aswell. His left ear has the grey while his right ear is white. There is a leaf-like white spot in the center of his forehead. His eyes are a light green, like seaweed.

ALOK
Alok woke to the gruff sound of his leader calling him to a hunt. He stood slowly, exaustion and hunger pushing him down. He shook his matted fur and walked out of the den, knowing his leader was already long gone. He gaped and blinked, remembering that the humans had created this exaustion and hunger for him and his pack. Anger fueled his actions and he was soon running towards the edge of town, itching to cause the humans mental or phisical harm. He slowed to a jog as he got close and padded up behind his leader, happy to finally hunt for the pack agian. "I'm here" he barked.

Cherokee
Cherokee snapped at Alok, "Sshh!" He glared at the young wolf before catching sight of a human and a dog. The human had gone inside leaving the dog outside near the shed that held food. The dog was white and about the size of a wolf, but it probably wouldn't be able to fight as good as one. Where is IceHeart? Isn't she the Beta? A wolf who is supposed to be my second in command? he thought impatiently and angrily that she wasn't here to help them carry more food. "We can't wait for IceHeart." He growled out before stepping out into the open heading directly for the shed.

Snow
Snow heard him before she saw him. She sat up and watched the primitive creature make it's way toward her. It's powerful muscles, and it fine head caused Snow to stare for a moment. Getting over the way the wolf looked, Snow stood up and barked at the wolf causing it to stop. She wasn't as big as the wolf, but her breed was built to be hardy and protective, and right now, she was going to protect her home. Baring her teeth, she growled at the wolf, "Get away!" She went into a crouch and charged forward, stopping short from a few feet away from the white wolf. The brute snarled at her, baring it's yellow ragged teeth and actually seemed to become bigger. "Run away pet or else face the teeth of real putnars." Snow was a bit suprised the wolf talked to her but was really curious about the way the wolf talked. Their words were different, holding a deep note with a growl underneath it all, reminding her just how wild they truly were, how tame she was, not wild.

A longing started in her chest, a longing so painful and achingly beautiful that she was stunned. Snow wanted to attacked the wolf in front of her, to throw him to the ground and stand over him. To become the dominant animal here and to make him submit to her. She growled back at him not bothering to talk because she was afraid she'd do something stupid.

ALOK
Alok winced at his leaders tone but understood it all the same. He followed him out and smirked at the foolish dog. Theres no way you're going to beat my leader you stupid dog, you should just move he thought to himself. He put himself into a fighting position, behind and to the side of his leader. She cant beat both of us he thought, growling at the dog in a very menacing way. He could smell the fresh meat behind the door and shot her a glare full of hunger, anger, and down right bloodlust.

One minute. Nearly there. One of the sources picked up in intensity and hunger. He wanted to fight for whatever he was after. Male wolf, no doubt, there was enough difference between males and females to tell easily. Two males then, and a housedog. The snow silenced his approach and he was relieved to find the shadows thickening. In shadow, all that could be seen were his eyes. She had gifted him with this so that he may sneak up on prey and survive, Moon be thanked. He raced on, desperate to get there before blood was spilled.

The growling snapped Clio out of her thoughts. Her body began to move without thinking to the trio. She came to a quick halt right besides the house dog while keeping a wary gaze at what seemed to be intruders. She knew she couldn't fight them off, she just didn't have it in herself. Yet she couldn't turn the other way when she saw a dog who is so loved by by their humans get hurt. It would end up hurting the humans as well. I can't be of much help but I can still take some hits for her, Clio thought to herself after seeing the fangs the two were baring at them. She gave out a snort, shaking away the thoughts of how much it would hurt once they went for the bite, and instead prepared herself for it.

There! Nyxmel skidded to a halt in the snow, crouched in the shadows of the trees overhead. Best to scope out the situation before rushing in like a bumbling bear. His glowing, silver eyes slid back and forth between the two parties. Two housedogs, two wolves, big ones, and one had the smell of an alpha. The sleek wolf shook his head to clear the memories of alpha problems, and looked again. There was no time, he had to act. Leaping out from the shadows, the Moonlight lit his back in a dazzling silver gleam. His bright eyes looked back and forth between the two, and sparkling snow rested on his muzzle and shoulders. Ears pricked and breath fogging in and out rapidly from his sprint, he ran between the two parties. "Stop! Stop now!" He said, eyes commanding. "There's never any need for conflict. We can work this out." He held an air of authority about him, despite being the smallest one there besides one of the housedogs. "I'm Nyxmel, and whatever the issue is we can fix it without bloodshed. Everywolf can go back to their lives, well and unharmed." He looked between the rival pairs, ears alert and every muscle tensed.

ALOK
Alok glared as another dog joined the first, but dismissed the thought that it would be tougher for the new femal dog looked like she didnt want to be there. Suddenly, before he had the chance to take even a pawstep towards the dogs, another wolf bounded out of the forest calling them to stop fighting. He studied the wolf with curiosity and hostility. Alok did not think the wolf shoud be messing with others affairs. "Says yo..." he began but quickly cut himself off. It was not his place to speak.

The one wolf, a beta, he supposed, began to speak. Nyxmel snorted out a foggy breath in humour, "Yes, says I, sir. Now, what is the problem here?" He felt the four canines glaring at him, but didn't care. He would stop the conflict or die trying. Maybe not the best way to spend a birthday, but if it was in the name of bettering the world, Nyxmel would give his life to fulfill the purpose.

Snow
Snow licked her teeth as she kept a steady gaze on the wolves. Although it did spook her a bit when Clio showed up, she only gave the dog a small glance. Since the wolves wouldn't take a hint she was about to show them when someone else appeared. Someone who wasn't a dog but wasn't standing beside the other wolves showed up. It was smaller than her and had a silverish glint to it's fur. It made her fur stand on end. She growled at all the wolves unsure of what to do now as she backed up a little ways.

Cherokee
Cherokee felt the protectiveness enter his veins as he glared at Nyxmel, but he supressed it by shaking his head. The Alpha codes here were different then any other wolf packs and it made sure he treated rogues like guests unless they kill or harm any of their packmates. He glared at the white and black dogs before he turned his full attention to Nyxmel. He looked at the wolf's face, not looking into his eyes longer then two seconds, for it was rude of an Alpha to stare into another's eyes that wasn't part of his pack. "I am the Sunset Pack Alpha. You say we wolves can go back to our lives unharmed? But you see that their is rarely any game here to fill one wolf's belly now that these humans and their dogs have intruded in our territory. They take our food, leaving my pack to starve and I can't let me pack starve now can I?"

Cherokee growled before continueing, "They hold the food in one of their dens there. It's all that we can get to feed my pack, but what would a rogue like you care? You don't have a pack to feed, or wolves you have to keep in line from killing themselves just to come raid the humans for what little food they have during the daytimes."

Nyxmel listened silently, staring at the alpha's face. He was an impressive wolf, and obviously cared a great deal for his pack. He also honored the code, which showed more to Nyxmel than anything else. This wolf was a leader, and a good being all around. "I can see why there's a problem, but it's not only these housedog's faults. They love the humans, and the humans love them. The humans can be... an issue, at times. But, I can help you." He relaxed a bit, and thanked the Moon for her help in advance. "I can help to feed your pack, provided you don't blame the housedogs for their master's idiocity." He shot an apologetic glance to the two housedogs on his left before turning his head back to the wolves. "I can help you to hunt. You could say I've had some success in the past at feeding hungry mouths." His tail twitched at the memories of the Moon showing him prey to feed his clan, no more than a cub. That was the night before the battle.

He shook his head to free himself of the memory, like trying to relieve himself of cold snow or a burr. "Tonight, I shall help you hunt, but we must leave the housedogs in peace."

Alok didnt trust this wolf and he did not want it to be with them but they needed food for the pack and he respected his leaders authority. He waited fkr his leader to respond. While he looked the wolf over, he got shivers down his back, not from the cold but because the wolf looked mystical and mysterious with the moonlight shimmering off his fur. To Alok, mysterious meant dangerous and he couldnt help but feel anxious wwhile stareing t the rogue.

Cherokee
Cherokee stared at the rogue as if he was beginning to grow antlers out of his head. "Did you not hear what I just said? There's no point in wasting valuable energy on searching for prey that is not there." He snorted before turning his attention back on Snow and Clio. "Now. If you don't get out of our way, we'll just go and take food from some other human den." his words were crisp, and sounded feral as he bared his teeth in disgust at the dogs. His ears layed back he walked by Nyxmel and began to head toward the shed.

Snow
Snow growled at Cherokee's words on how terribly awful his pack was. It would've torn her up inside if he hadn't been trying to steal food from her humans. Growling, she was a bit suprised by how bold Cherokee was to just walk by her and expect her to not do anything. She snarled as she jumped sideways and bit down on Cherokee's ear. The wolf snarl as he recoilded and stood on his back paws, twisting the wolf bit down on her shoulder. Snow whined but then let go and used her weight to push Cherokee over and they ended up twisting and writhing in the snow. Blood was shed, and furs were stained, and jaws were snapping in thin air trying to bite down on flesh or fur.

Noises began to clatter inside the house and the door opened. Voices screamed and yelled, but Snow ignored it as Cherokee wrapped his paws around and forced her into standing on her hindlegs. She snarled and bit down near his neck as she tried to use her shoulder to push him over. A gunshot rang out. Someone howled out in pain.

Cherokee
Cherokee let out an admiral snarl at Snow before shoving her away and turning to back away. His eyes glazed in pain and anger, he turned and barked out for Alok to follow as he darted away from the village. His left hindleg bled, leaving crimson drops of blood on the snow in his wake. He stopped near the entrance to the den, where he sat lied down and began to lick the wound.

Snow
Snow was a bit shocked that Damon had shot at Cherokee. She had backed away when the wolf shoved her away, but she had stared after him when he ran off. Her white fur was pink in some areas, but dark red in others areas. The pain of course hurt but she was... Angry and... Feeling something else. Pride at been able to hold her own in a fight? She didn't know what the feeling was, but it's partner was a deep rage, a sorrow at having been a pet. She would've died or lived through the fight, but if she had won then she would've truly been a dominant dog, but if she died, then she died. Not because she was a dog and not a wolf, but because she had been weak and not strong enough to survive.

Alok let out a bone chilling growl at the dogs before running after his leader. Cherokee had gotten far ahead but it isn't hard to follow a wounded wolf. The snow was dotted here and there with his blood and Alok was worried. He pushed himself harder to catch up with his leader and soon found him licking his wounds. "Cherokee, are you all right?" He asked in a respectful manner. Anger swelled within and he had to clench his teeth to stop from howling in outrage.

Clio immediately pressed her body against the floor at the sound of the gunshot. Her attention was driven from the wolfs to the human who had appeared. Her tail began to wag as the two wolfs ran off into the woods. Snow just stood there, her pure white coat covered with red and pink stains. Clio then noticed the lone wolf still standing there, looking straight at the human. She herself was both curious and confused at what he was waiting for.

Alok was down trodden when Cherokee said this. He didn't want to leave the place he grew up in but it was in the intrest of the pack. "Where would we go?" he said unintentionaly aloud but the question was one that needed to be answered. Alok sat in the snow and looked his leader from head to toe. Let's hope he dosen't want to move the pack right away he thought, noting his leaders wounds.

Two hares thick in his mouth, Nyxmel followed the scent of blood to the wolves' den. He strode confidently into the camp, glad for the shadows. He was pitch black without the Moon's rays, but his eyes still gleamed with the light that was present. He followed the trail of blood through the clan's site, looking at no wolf, but straight ahead. Eventually, he found the alpha. He unceremoniously dropped the rabbits before him and remained standing, silver eyes watching the two for potential danger. "It's nothing big, but it's something," he offered.

Shadows shifted in the corner of Alok's vision. He turned towards Nyxmel with hostility, no kindness shown in his eye. Alok was seriously ticked off by the wolf and he showed it by his stiff movments. Nyxmel ungraiciously dropped two lumps of fur in the snow. Alok waited for his leader to speak, would he run Nyxmel away? Would he kindly take the offered food? The thought of taking it kindly was unbearable but after eyeing it over, Alok was aware of his hunger. Keep your salivating mouth shut! he thought to himself, trying ever so hard to keep from looking unpresentable in front of Cherokee, don't drool, please don't drool!

Cherokee
Cherokee stared at the two Hares, knowing exactly what Alok was thinking. The young Omega probably didn't have the strength he had to hold back, most likely because of the weights he didn't have on his shouders. Envy seeped into his gaze as he looked over Alok, his wound forgotten, he let himself hate being an Alpha and having to have been the only one to stay. Growling he shook himself mentally before gathering the strength to stand. Cherokee looked at Nyxmel and made a small motion with his head sort of like a wolf's version of a bow, he picked up one of the hares. Backing up he settled down in the shadow of a tree before yanking out the fur of the rabbit and peircing flesh. He swallowed chunks at a time, having a hard time controlling himself.

Snow
Snow looked at Clio and grinned a grin that looked so much like the grin of a wolf. Flicking her ears back the white Akita lied down just as DAmon appeared with warm water and a cloth. He washed out her wounds and made sure her fur became white not that of a patchy pink with white. It was almost after midnight by that time and Damon yawned as he slicked back her ears and rubbed Clio behind the ears before walking upstairs to sleep. Snow yawned a teethy yawn and curled up, closing her eyes and falling into a dreamless sleep.

Nyxmel huffed with satisfaction at the alpha's acceptance. No use in pointless death or conflict of hunger. There was plenty of food around, you just had to know where to look. Another pack he had come across had a food problem, and the alpha was too proud to allow Nyx's help. When the traveller had returned a month later, the majority of the pack had died out, alphas and betas among them. He helped the few survivors to find food as they were too weak to hunt and went on his way. Pride was often the downfall of those in power. Like another clan he knew far too well...

No time to think about that. With Cherokee's individual approval and the... beta, he guessed, for he didn't yet know the wolf's name... the beta's hunger was equally obvious, he approached the salivating wolf. The male stared pitifully at the hares as his alpha devoured them ravenously. "Come with me, we can feed the rest of your pack for the night," he ordered. Without waiting for a response, he padded silently out of the camp, inky tail swishing behind him and black form hard to follow in the shadows. He looked at no wolf, though they all stared at him. No doubt he smelled of reject, not to mention food, and that would earn him evil stares to be sure. He learned to keep his tail up long ago. No use fighting what you can't control head on, better to weave around it. His own stomach growled a warning at him, but he ordered it to hush.

Tally of things accomplished on his birthday: Fail to stop a fight. Check. Go hungry. Check. Earn a packful of stares. Check. Gain an alpha's gratitude. The Moon only knew.

Nyxmel left the camp. He didn't know if Alok was following or not, and he wouldn't care at the moment. He had to go back to the human town and clean up their tracks. He hadn't had time when leaving, but if the humans traced the blood in the snow back to the pack's den, he would blame himself. If Alok was following, he had to hope that trouble wouldn't be caused.

Once out of the deep shadows of the pack's den, patchy moonlight began to shine through the mighty trees. Nyx smiled up at his Mistress and thanked her for at least the little victory he had achieved by bringing the alpha acceptable food. He asked her for more luck in his endeavours and howled at her in thanks, the mystical sound carried on the crisp wind wherever it felt like going. He then set on his way again, headed for the village.

A few minutes later as he approached the humans' den, his nose caught the scent of smoke, food, and people. His stomach growled in displeasure again at the middle, but he again forced it into submission. Another scent... Dog. Probably just residual from the earlier conflict (the memory of which made him whine despite himself). He continued on to the cusp of the town and walked just in the shadows of the treeline, fur gone ink black in the lack of Moonlight. He sniffed for the alpha's blood and soon found the trail. Without a second thought, he broke the treeline, seeing as how humans were diurnal and the lights were off in the house near the trail minus a fire inside. Once he stepped into the light, the rays reflected off his coat to give him that same ethereal aura. His coat literally glowed with the reflected light, and his fluffy coat went silver on top, the shadows of his own body leaving his belly darker, but the reflected beams from the snow still lit it some. He began scratching at the trail and licking it to erase any mark that the alpha was there. It was when he looked up to take a breather that he noticed the dog only a few feet away from him.
