Introduction
We went about that day, four months ago, in August, when all this shit started, living our normal lives: working, school, home. We never could've expected the hell that was to reign down upon us from the heavens above. It started with a single flash of light, and then hundreds all over the celestial blackness of the sky. They came during the night, scaring the shit out of the kids and making the adults tremble in terror. At first, we thought that maybe the life beyond our stars could be friendly. We found out the hard way that we were wrong.
It started with blasts of inferno-like gunfire, emnating from guns in which the likes we'd never seen. They were ominous, almighty beings made of the blackest abyss. Their visages still haunt my vision when I close my eyes. They destroyed New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Antonio, Boston, and finally here, Seattle, as well. They introduced these bombs that seemed to be made of light before they rendered blackness unto everything in it's radius. I don't know how we're going to survive.
We've been making our way towards California, steadfastly traversing southward. Rumors of a safe haven being constructed in Van Nuys have surfaced. We make our way there now. . . .

Note: So far, this is just a concept. I have plenty of idea circulating for this roleplay, but I do not intend to start it up or make/accept characters until I see some interest. Of course, input from players is openly welcomed, which shall be placed in the OOC section ONLY. Also, I plan on making this an advanced, story-driven roleplay. Saying that, I will not accept mediocrity as I grow weary of watching roleplays die out due to generic roleplayers. This roleplay will have limited slots with no reservations allowed.
If you have any questions or concerns, or any comments or ideas, please leave them in the OOC section. I eagerly await your responses. However, I'm going to be in Texas until Friday, so if I do not respond, do not worry. I'll get to you ASAP and we can discuss this roleplay's direction.

Collectibles

[OOC] Downfall: The Vanquishment Of Man
"Downfall: The Vanquishment Of Man" is a science fiction invasion/survival roleplay, set in present-day Earth Seattle, Washington. The Earth is being overrun by an alien race known only as the Syn.
So far, this is only a concept roleplay, to be developed further by the opinions and ideas of myself and other roleplayers. This will require some thinking outside of generic themes seen in many other roleplays, so it is emphasized that mediocrity needs to be displaced for this roleplay.
If this seems like something that would interest you, please leave your input.
As stated on the roleplay's overview, I am leaving for Texas until Friday, so there is a chance I will not be able to check on this roleplay this week. Still, feel free to leave your expressed opinions here in the OOC, or PM me any ideas and I will return to them eventually.
