Ches smiled. "Best day already, huh? And what makes it so good?" He questioned. He didn't mind the way they were standing, and even if they hadn't got a chance to spend too much time together before they separated, it felt like they knew one another so well. "How about that good luck charm I was talking about?" He said, smirking up at the dragon.

Rad'hin raised an eyebrow curiously and grinned down at Ches. "I could definitely go for a good luck charm.", he replied as he hands stroked the wyvern's sides gently. He couldn't get enough of touching him, even though he had to admit that he didn't know him as well as he could have. He'd fallen hard before they were separated, and now that he was seeing him again, he never wanted to let him go.

Ches couldn't help but keep smiling as he reached up and pulled the black dragon's face close to his. "Don't get too carried away." He said before closing the gap between them. He was excited to be kissing the dragon that he had such feelings for, though he knew that right about then, Taniss was having a fit and he couldn't help but find it slightly amusing.

Rad'hin froze for a moment, hardly believing that Ches was kissing him. It didn't take long to break out of that though and a moment later he was kissing Ches back with fervor. Sure, the wyvern had said not to get too carried away, but how could he not when he had dreamed about doing this very thing.

Taniss growled as he watched the kiss down on the field. The king had said he just wanted to watch, not go make out with one of the racers. Even if Taniss knew that Ches had been pining for that certain racers for weeks... It was his protective instinct to want to go down to the field and pull them apart.

Thankfully Varia was having none of that. He remained close to Taniss's side and lifted his head to nuzzle the other dragon's chin. "Calm yourself.", he said softly, smiling at the blush that spread over the guard's face. He lifted his hand, bringing it to Taniss's face and tilting it towards him. After that, it was easy to close the distance between them and kiss him gently, effectively taking his mind off their king.

Ches pulled away from the kiss and smiled at Rad'hin. "Now remember, win or you'll be sorry." He reminded him again. "I have to go back up to the box though, if people notice me missing it could spell trouble." He said as he pulled away a bit. "But don't worry, I'll be watching." He didn't want to go up to that box, it was boring, but if the King was missing from the King's Race, it would be troubling to anyone who was watching...

Rad'hin nodded dumbly for a moment, still lost in their first kiss. "I'll win for you.", he stated once he'd come back to himself. "I swear it..." He smiled at Ches before reluctantly letting him go and taking a step back. It wasn't long after that the bells rang, signaling that the next race would be beginning. Rad'hin made his way over to the start, determined to win every race from there on out.

Ches made his way back up to the box, hurrying so he wouldn't miss the race that was about to start. He was careful though, that no one saw him go in as well. "Did you two have a nice time without me here?" He asked, obviously referring to the kiss that he'd seen him and Varia shared while he was on the field. "It's about time you two did something."

Taniss frowned, his face red as he turned quickly and looked out at the arena. He stood stiffly and didn't say a work out of embarrassment.

Varia on the other hand was suddenly full of giggles. He smiled at Ches and made his way over to the wyvern, collecting his cloak and helping him back into his royal garb. "The question is, sire... did you have a nice time with that racer?", the ice dragon asked, all smiles as he led Ches to his seat. Taniss had actually fetched a few cushions in the king's absence, so it was much comfier now.

Ches sat in his now, much more comfy chair and smiled. "It could've proved to be a longer time, but it was nice anyhow." He replied as he leaned back to watch the field. "A day full of races... it's going to take forever." He murmured as he heard the bell ring. He watched the racers closely, some just weren't keeping up very well, which was odd considering what class they were in.

"Your racer is quite determined, isn't he?", Varia noted, taking a seat next to Ches once a servant brought him a stool. Neither he nor the king were too surprised when Rad'hin won the next few races he was in. Thankfully it didn't take forever for the semi-finals to come about. Varia and Ches had taken to talking about Taniss while they waited, much to the guards embarrassment. But as the bells rang, signalling the start of the semis, all three of them had their eyes on the arena.

Rad'hin was doing well, seeming to keep a pretty good lead, though a large red dragon was baring down on him from behind. It still looked like Rad'hin was going to win though... that is until the last lap. The red dragon surged forward, overtaking Rad'hin in a flurry of wings and claws. Rad'hin's right wing buckled as the other dragon used it as a push off point, sending him zooming ahead while Rad'hin fell back.

A few more racers whizzed past him as he fought to regain his balance, and he had dropped to forth place before he could make it over the finish line. He changed within a few feet of the ground and dropped heavily, clutching his shoulder as he landed.

The new king was quick to get to his feet. "Foul Play!" He stated loudly, causing the entire crowd to go silent all at once. "Purposely harming another racer to gain an advantage is against the code. Sinith, you are forfeit from the race." He knew the judges down below would look past the obvious foul, he'd raced many times in the arena, and the red dragon had a record of doing these things. "Varia, go tend to Rad'hin. Make sure he gets medical attention." He ordered. He was glad that he had memorized the rules and regulations of the racing conduct. He knew everything about the races. "Taniss, I cannot sit here. I have to go check on him."

Varia hurried down to the field, needing no other orders. He made his way over to Rad'hin, where other dragons were already helping him. The racer had a nasty gouge on his shoulder from the other dragon's claws, and with the way he was holding his arm, there was no way it wasn't dislocated or worse.

Taniss frowned and looked out into the arena, watching the commotion for a moment before turning quickly back to Ches. "Come on.", he said with a growl and started off down the steps towards the arena. He didn't have to look back to know that Ches was right behind him. They made it down to the field quickly and Taniss easily cleared the way so that the King could make it easily over to Rad'hin.

Ches rushed over, not caring who even saw. "Rad'hin!" He said as he made it over to the dragon. "Are you alright? That was a dirty move. Sinith went too far this time." He stated as he looked at the racer's shoulder. "It looks pretty nasty, are you going to be okay? You don't have to race if you're this hurt." He explained. He watched the other dragons, then the crowd before looking back at Rad'hin, who was very obviously in pain.

Rad'hin hissed in pain as a medic tended to the gash on his shoulder. "I'm fine...", he grumbled, though it was a weak lie. He wasn't going to let anyone pull him out of the race though, injury or not. He had to win. "I'm not out yet.", he stated, though his fierce expression broke into one of pain as his shoulder was jerked quite roughly back into place. He cursed and looked over at Ches, reaching out for his hand, holding it to calm himself, though he ended up getting blood on the King. "I have to win.", he murmured. "I said I would..."

Ches frowned. "I could easily have you forced to sit out the rest of the day, but I won't do that, because I know you. So, either you win, or you'll make me regret my decision, and you'll probably make me look bad in front of everyone. You don't want that do you? Plus, I have a pretty special first prize if you win." He explained. "Now, the next race is going to start soon, you'll be ready by then, right?" He didn't want the dragon to push himself too hard, but he knew Rad'hin was going to just that. He was going to push himself so hard because he wants to win, and that's just the way he was.

Rad'hin simply nodded, not trusting his voice not to waver if he spoke. His shoulder felt like it was on fire, though that changed quickly as icy fingers began to massage his skin. He looked over quickly, seeing Ches's assistant rubbing his shoulder with those frosty hands of his. With a small sigh, he looked back over at Ches, squeezing his hand confidently. "I'll be fine...", he stated. "What ever that first prize is I'm going to win it, and you're going to have to award it to me yourself." He grinned despite the pain he was in.

Ches nodded. "That's right. For now though, I will return to watch from the box. Don't make me have to stop the race." He said, a slight warning in his tone. He turned and made his way back up the stairs, not taking very much time to get there. The crowd was a bit rowdy, but that was normal for the King's race. It was the finals after all, people were tired, hungry, and uncomfortable. Not to mention those that were cheering for Sinith were now upset that he'd been kicked from the finals.

It was almost too short a time before the next race started, but Rad'hin took his place at he starting line despite his injury. A lot of the other racers looked on sympathetically, but the black dragon wasn't naive enough to think they would throw the race for him. Even still, he was determined, and when the bell sounded to start the race, he was off in a flash. His injured wing burned once again, the gash starting to bleed again. Rad'hin pushed on though, flying passed other dragons until he was in second place.

Ches watched closely as he could see blood dripping from the black dragon that held second place. He was closing in on first, but it looked like he was in a lot of pain. The young king covered his mouth with his sleeve, biting it a bit while he watched. Rad'hin had to win. He just had to!" His plans would be messed up if he lost, even if he was in second place. The other dragons were close behind him, but he saw the last burst of strength that Rad'hin gave, winning the race with it, though quickly landing on the ground as he shifted.
