Damn it! I don't know who to fight! If I turn into a dragon, I'll only make a bigger target. But like this, I'm screwed if a sniper trains on me! What am I gonna do?!
Final jumped as something skidded into his leg. Looking down, he found a magnum, completely loaded, hanging from the hand of a headless human. It took an amount of willpower to keep himself from gagging. Gingerly, he pried the gun from its owner's hand, holding it akwardly. As a dragon, Final hadn't had alot of experience with human weapons.
Peaking out of his hidding place, Final noticed one dragon amidst the chaos that seemed to be enjoying it, rather than dismayed. The fire dragon observed the situation with delight, which disturbed him greatly. As if on some silent signal, the dragon made for one of the tunnels nearby, instantly disappearing from the scene.
Now what are you up to, Final thought questioningly.
With one last look over the bench, he rolled from cover, moving as fast as his legs would carry him in his human form. Just as he was closing in on the tunnel, a glint of steel to his left made him bring his gun up, stopping a sword blade just in time before it lopped off his head. However, the impact sent him sliding across the ice a few feet, his hand numb to the wrist. Again, Final barely fiented to the left before the sword again nearly cleaved him in two. Blindly, he struck out with his foot, rewarded with a groan as he nailed his adverssary in the stomach. With his enemy distracted, Final swung his gun around in a wide arc, hitting his opponent in the temple, dropping him cold.
Quickly gathering himself, Final made his way into the tunnel the dragon disappeared through earlier. His steps echoed down the narrow space as he followed the strange smell of his target. Before he rounded the next corner, he stopped, hearing rapid footsteps.
"Nah... you don't mind."
The voice startled him as he glanced around the wall of ice, seeing the dragon from earlier, obviously a female, and... a girl who looked like royalty. He was about to change so he could intervine until he spotted two other figures walking towards the two from another tunnel. They wore dragged cloaks and seemed heavily armed. This didn't look good at all.
I can't fight them on my own...
Slowly, Final made his way back down the tunnel he came from, mentally kicking himself the whole way. He didn't want to leave that girl, but he wasn't going to be much help to her without backup. He needed to find the dragon hunters, and fast. So he bolted down the tunnel once he was out of earshot, heading for the treaty room to get help.
“Make sure the king and queen stay safe!” The squad leader shouted.
She ran toward the King and Queen then giving them a shallow bow while took off her riffle.
“We will take you to a safer place.” she said and directed them to the exit. “Blacktide, protect our back.” And she would take the front, killing anyone who came too close to them, friends and foes alike. Well, she didn’t know the difference between friend and foe right now. They could be friends or they could be one of the traitors. Better safe than sorry.
They went to the door and exit the disastrous room. She didn’t know whether the Blacktide guy really cover their back but if he was a traitor too, she would make sure he died in her hand. She shook her head. Worries and suspicious feeling could be taken care latter, for now the royal family safety was first priority and she would need his help.
And was immediately bashed over the head with something hard. The vase shattered and Ron exclaimed out as he turned to obviously a dragon in human form. who had struck him with the vase. "I'm on your side!" Ron said as she reached for a silver tray to the side of her bed. "Hunter, Ron Gregorio." He said quieter which made the woman finally stop, the tray already halfway raised to strike his head again.
With her silence, Ron ran over to the window and poked the barrel of his rifle out the window, and took a few quick shots into the courtyard. Hit 2 targets missing 3. Well, it did what he wanted. They had to think that there were still more snipers, when there weren't.
He stood back up and backed away from the window. He unloaded the gun and went back over to the woman that was there. "Hey, mind if I keep this here for now? Kinda useless to me now, but my boss will have my head if I lose it." As the woman was still processing what was happening she nodded slowly. "Thank ye kindly." Ron said as he tossed the rifle under her bed and proceeded to the door. But he paused for a moment before leaving and turned to the woman smirking slightly. "Next time, start with the tray. Got me?" He chuckled.
Then he exited back into the hallway, much more relaxed than he was when he was on the roof. "Alright. We gotta get to the main signing room, with hell in our wake. Sound fun right? You gals up fer it?" he said to the pair of girls with him as he took a quick sip from his flask.
A pair of men came out of hallways in front of Sync. Before they could even get their guns up, they were both down from shots to the temple. Sync had given them a chance. He took a sharp turn down a hallway and into a tunnel. He heard sounds echo from down the tunnel, so be broke into a dead sprint. He would not let the princess get hurt on his watch!
He soon came to stop in front of a strange sight; the traitor on the ground, bleeding out, with a massive dragon blocking the path down the tunnel. Normally, Sync would have been relieved, but something in his senses cried out in alarm. It was like a sliver underneath his skin, just instead of pain, it was a sliver of fear and warning. This situation was wrong. Everything should be fine, but somehow it wasn't. His eyes narrowed suddenly without ever looking away from the dragon.
"Well, thank you for stopping the traitor, ma'am, but what happened to the princess?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The princess ran through the tunnels in fear. What was going on? One minute everything is normal, the next she is being dragged along by some Hunter, and then a dragon saves her and tells her humans can't be trusted and she needed to go with her people. Aria was scared. She hoped that Sync was alright. She was absolutely sure that he wouldn't betray her.
A man led her along tunnels out to a hole in the side of the ice. The man ordered her, "Now change into a dragon and follow me." Aria started to back up, shaking her head. She couldn't leave here without her parents! The man again ordered, "Out, now!" She started to shake her head again, but her world went black. She fell quickly into a dreamless sleep.
"Bring it on!" Jess smirked and allowed the fire within her to seep out of her fingertips coating her hands in warming blazes. The tip of the arrow in the crossbow began to glow red hot as the fire on her hand licked upwards over the tip. She turned and waited for confirmation from Ron's partner, who she was pretty sure was a dragon. Jess wondered why the girl hadn't turned into a dragon yet to kick butt, she'd always been jealous of their awesome powers and way superior fire breath.
Thorn hesitated for a moment, but shifted into her true form ripping the clothes she wore. Black scales replaced human skin, her tail growing out and her wings started unfurling. Her claws were always the slowiest to change but this time they grew out fast enough to claw some dragon opponents. "So, is this a friend or not?" She asked Sync as she went into a battle stance ready to attack the dragon. Smoke rose from her nostrils and her eyes were actually turning a fiery red.

"Bring it on!" Jess said confidently as she manipulated fire to make an arrow loaded in her crossbow grow red hot. Jess looked at Charoi, who realized the human was looking for some sort of confirmation.
"Uh... Let's do this!" Charoi said with a little less confidence than what Jess had. She looked through the scope of the gun, trying to figure out how to use it.
Meanwhile...
----
The girl walked slowly through the tunnels without a care at the current situation until her stoic face showed a smile full of cruelty, increasing her pace the girl shifted into her dragon form, a gray one, and started roaring in a strange way, sounding like if she had something stuck in her throat, and soon the same sound was answered by many others... the signal to attack.
The original plan was simple and very suicidal, first the group would go separate in ways, then some would stay stationed in the corridors while others continue walking to zones with enough space to fly, then Drexza would call the attention of all the guards attacking the king while her two companions kidnapped the princess, a signal would be given and repeated by each member until each one of them answered, like a beacon system from the old days, to start the last phases.
Hopefully, for most of them, humans had changed many of the variables of the plan forcing them to move to the lasts steps... Full scale attack time, shifting into their real forms many dragons and wyverns started to fly around going in separate ways, some to the ceiling and many others diving to attack humans, either were Hunters or enemies, and dragons alike.
And that was only a diversion to cover the others dragons and wyverns whose goal was to let very big rocks fall from the ceiling, with the small exception of one dragon carrying a rock over a very specific group, such tactic would be repeated until the overall goal was met: do as many damage as they could to the guards and the city until it was time to retreat...
((Number of dragons attacking=75. By the way Lightning´s group enters in specific target.))

Back to Drexza
----
Drexza showed a bored look to the boy and the dragon infront of her before she started to glow, like if flames sorrounded her, shifting into her human form. While the shift was completely normal the "showy" part was thanks to a spell, or a ritual something like that, from another dragon to change some scales into clothes... Not that she cared, in perspective she was all the time naked, but she had to admit that it was a good idea to not be the only one without clothes while walking among humans... Although it kinda lost it purpose as she still showed many of her dragon parts just a little "smaller". Including her size but right now her instincts and guts were telling her that it was the worst of the ideas to give the guy in front of her a free shot, funny... Even funier was the idea that she was having such reaction from a human, while the now girl... for now she was in a small threat level.
"You know... once I saw a butterfly flying like if the world belonged to it. Without a care of what could happen, I can´t describe the feeling I had at that moment..." Drexza turned and walked some steps away from the pair before turning to glance at their reactions and stances "An emotion that was telling me to reach ... And crush it. Same feeling... This time this man was only the one receiving it."
Drezxa crossed her arms over her chest, the clawed one over the human one, and showed a small smile as some strong noises and roars started to resonate in the tunnel "Well that sound means I have to do... other stuff..."
Drexza turned once more and walked away some steps before stoping to look over her shoulder and show her sweetest smile, the only thing that showed that she in fact had a combat presence, something she had learned to hide with the centuries, this particular smile carrying massive amounts of killing intent to the pair behind her.
"Now let me tell you this tunnel is coming down, nothing personal I just don´t like it... Actually it annoys me greatly, I don´t know what the Snow dragons were thinking when they did it." Drezxa´s body started to glow showing several marks or runes over it, actually all her scars, while the temperature slowly raised. "It is your call if you want to stay or get away from here... Don´t care... And by the way... the princess is being dragged to one of the lowest tunnels so her beloved parents can come out and you know... get kill. How I know this?"
Drexza showed the same smile just wider. "We are the ones that captured her."
Thorn knew she shouldn't engage in a fight like this with the other dragon, but she was going to anyway. She sized her opponent up as Drexza turned. Drexza was a bit bigger then her, probably about fifteen to twenty feet taller and maybe somewhat wider then her. While Drexza was red and bigger, Thorn was a sable black and she was a younging compared to most dragons but she was lethal in fight.
Thorn stalked forward, barely making any noise. She also knew that if she did this, Sync would probably be angry at her later and suspend her for a year but she wasn't really caring right now. "Oh come on. Just let the princess go and we can negotiate about your freedom and quite possible your life. If you don't I get to... lets just say, I get to expiriment with your life line." Thorn sounded insane there but hey, living half your life with humans did sort of drive you insane. Snapping her jaws, her tail twitching excitedly she smiled sweetly.

Ron turned and walked backwards for a few steps, facing the pair smiling slightly once more at his squad before turning around and walking forwards again. He then pulled out his radio and radioed into Sync. "Cap, ditched overwatch. Got a regular ol' Delta Force headin for the main objective. going to be engaging shortly. Over'n'out."
Ron then slowed his pace as he came upon a corner leading to the balcony looking over the entrance hallway. He crouched down at the corner before sneaking a peak, and then retreating his head. He then looked back to the pair with him holding three fingers and motioning around the corner. There were three targets immediately around the corner and two more on the other side of the balcony, but he could drop them after the gals helped him with the incoming trio. He double checked his weapon and motioned for the girls to do the same then smiled at them, trying to think of something motivational to say.
But then he realized that was nothing like him at all.
So instead he just whispered, "Yippie-kiyay mother..."
and he stood up and turned the corner unleashing a round into the center of the incoming patrol on their side of the balcony.

Ron peeked around a corner. Then he looked back at Charoi and Jess and held up three fingers while motioning around the corner with his other hand. What did that mean? Charoi thought back to her training. His signals probably meant there were three people around the corner, she guessed. Creeping quietly to the corner she jumped when Ron opened fire. The time for subtlety was over. Charoi took a quick, clumsy aim of someone unexperienced with a gun. When she pulled the trigger she was knocked back by the recoil of the rifle. She was aiming for the left most person of the trio and hoped she hit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Out in the streets a battle raged. Humans with weapons battled fearsome dragons at the same time the Hunters tried to keep the peace. It was chaos itself. Five human figures watched the pandemonium unfold from a lofty perch in the chasm. The one in the front turned and spoke to the group. "See now as the Dragons and Dragon lovers are driven into chaos by our forces. We are striking a great blow today, but this is only the beginning. You all know what must be done; go and find them. Once that happens, we will establish humanity as the dominate force in this world once and for all."
Flashes of light emanated from each member in sequence until there was only the leader left. A deathly calm smile could be faintly seen as he surveyed the carnage before him. "Soon..." he whispered, before he too vanished in a flash of light. A cold wind blew through the caves, uncaring at the death being sowed; hopefully it wasn't a sign of worst to come...
Not that she cared at current situa... No, there was something... one little detail that brought one cruel smirk on the dragon´s mouth. The reaction... it didn´t matter how good he could keep his "calm mask"... For a moment Drexza could felt so much anger... something that she could abuse in the future, it was a mistake from his part to show that to her and he would have to pay for it... The dragon that was with him in the other claw was... dissapointing, probably she lacked self control or was not used to control herself at this kind of situations...
Drexza shrugged as she stopped glowing and entered the tunnel walking slowly her way out. The echoes of the battles made her head tilt to a side as she waved her tail. How many would be out of battle before it was time for group to retreat? The dragon smirked evilly as she saw some rays of light, nothing would stop her this time and she was sure that no one expected what she had in mind.

An ebony dragon, bigger then Thorn was now, with a bigger bone stucture was standing in front of her growling at something behind her. She was only a two week old hatchling during this moment.
The bitter cold brought her back to life after her shocking moment of a flash back. Thorn looked at Sync then sighed, "So... Than what do we do?"
The gunfire was fierce as Sync entered the room, so made he immediately went for cover and tried to assess the situation. A small knot of Hunters stood around the king and queen, doing their best with whatever makeshift cover they could find. Across the room the waves of human attackers came through a breach in the wall that went straight to the outside. Where in the hell were all these enemies coming from, anyway? He worked his way over to the defenders, not pausing to look at the bodies of the fallen Hunters. Many good men and women had died here today, he could see that without looking around at all. They would have time to honor the dead after.
The Hunters around the royalty cheered when they saw him. They knew exactly who he was and how good he was supposed to be. He took an offered assault rifle and told the men, "I saw a heavy machine gun on my way into the room. I need one of you to get it and set up over here while we all keep suppressing fire. Thorn," he added to the dragon, "can you keep your fire breath on the door for a minute or two?"
