Firia was cold. In the darkness of the forest, she could barely see two trees in front of her. She decided to fly as high as she could to get a better view. From up there she could see the vast forest, and on the horizon, the wastelands. She scanned the ground to see if anyone else was there. Deep in the forest, she thought she saw a flicker of movement. She moved closer to investigate.

Firia swooped down and saw what had caught her eye deep in the forest. It was a man, his sword drawn, ready to defend himself. She hovered just in front of him, studying him. She suddenly remembered the story of a man with a the fiery eyes. He was a good person, she had nothing to fear. She put on a friendly smile. Hello, Chariot de Scorio, I am Firia, nice to meet you. she said to him.

Chariot looked at the girl before him, red eyes blazing as usual. When the girl had introduced herself, Firia was her name it seemed, Chariot had no surprise when she stated his name, he was an ex-hero after all. He nodded, sheeting the sword in its scabbard. "Pleasure to meet you too..." he stated, his voice stoic and cold. He looked the girl over, she looked pretty average for a half breed, some sort of bird hybrid. He looked around and sighed, "What is a girl like you doing in this area? I suppose you were lost?" He said, the wind blew harshly as he said that. Unlike others, Chariot could see perfectly well, so could take in every detail.

Chariot looked at her inquisitively, "Oh? The forest isn't the safest place to live," he mentioned. His red eyes seemed to glow as the clouds shifted slightly revealing the sun that hung over head. A shift in the woods accompanied the crack of sticks and rustle of leaves. Chariot shifted into a defensive stance, sword drawn as quick as the breeze. It wasn't assassins but mindless half breeds, lost their sanity to the forest's darkness.

I know it isn't the safest place to live, but it's better than the volcano, or the wastelands. Firia said.If I went there, they could kill me. Here, most of the others can barely see through the fog and darkness.

"Sorry to break it to you, there is species that can see in this mist." He said, it wasn't sarcastic but a little bit off information.

A creature, twisted by the forest, crawled out of the dark roots of some tree. Chariot noticed it almost immediately, "Can you fight?" He asked, red eyes gleaming in the dark.

Uh, yeah, I have a two swords Firia said, pulling them out in a flash. I guess we have no choice. The creature lept forward so it was standing right in front of Firia and Chariot. It was a hybrid of a human and a owl. I guess flying away is not an option Firia said, Let's do this.

"Four more..." Chariot muttered, not paying any attention to the burning corpse. He heard Firia's statement, and so he turned to her, "Ridding the body is the kindest thing you can do to a dead man, " he said, charging at the rest.

Chariot smiled, killing two in a single blow from his sword. Their bodies burned quicker than the last one, turning to cinders quickly. One was left, it seemed to be a dragon half breed as it did not faulter to a strike in the back of the knees.

The half dragon turned to attack Firia, but she dodged and slashed it in the neck, killing it instantly. That was a close call she said, breathing heavily. We should keep moving before we run into more. Just then there was a loud crash to their right, very close by. A chilling roar followed the crash. Firia knew that sound. It was a forest dragon! RUN! She yelled.

Chariot only smiled, he knew he could beat a forest dragon, even in its natural territory. The green dragon tore through trees. It wasn't the biggest dragon he'd ever seen, but it was certainly older than him by a few lifetimes. He raised his sword, shifting into a fighting position. Instead of channelling his flames to the sword, he flowed it through the ground. The bodies burning almost erupted, pieces of cinders and ash flowing everywhere. A smoke prevailed over the sight of all, allowing Chariot the cover he needed. He ran towards the dragon, swinging to maim, not kill. "si apologise isthasy, dout sins tepoha provailed vur turned wux. jaka vdri, vur rocen anew.*" He spoke in his natural language of flames. The smoke drifted around him and the larger dragon, The dragon dressed in forestry collapsed on the spot, a coma. "May you sleep peacefully," Chariot spoke, placing his hand on the dragon's snout.

"You know my name and most likely my tale. I am a dragon of cinders, a forest dragon is almost too easy to force into a slumber. You should never kill a dragon, as they protect and feed where they live, even if they have turned to the darkness." Chariot sighed, erasing the smoke that had filled the small area. He looked around before kneeling on one knee, "Maybe I should formally introduce myself. I am Chariot de Scorpio, Dragon of Cinders and adviser of the ex-king of the human kingdom. May we make acquaintance" He bowed his head politely, his voice formal and full of chivalry.
