|Personality|
Skylar is an outcast in her family regarding her job and overall personality. Growing up in a strict Catholic family, she had been taught the basic principles every Catholic must follow: no lying, no disrespecting others, no swearing, no sex, etc. She's kept some of the principles, but not all of them. Not lying and respecting others she tries her very best to stick to, and she is almost always perfect with these two. However, swearing is her weak point. It's not out of Sky's character to drop the f-bomb, or use a word too vulgar when frustrated. As a stripper, Skylar knows her boundaries and the boundaries of her clients. Despite what others might think, Sky has not thrown away her virtue. She is trying to wait for someone special, but she is a major tease and sometimes gets too carried away.
Skylar loves a great party every now and then, but for the most part she prefers sitting in her room and painting. She usually comes off as shy or indifferent, but once she feels comfortable around others, she's quirky and a great friend. She loves to listen to others and tries to help them out whenever possible, but only interjects when she feels necessary. She has her priorities set, and she wants to go far with her art and not be the bum her parents paint her to be.

|History|
As Cameron grew up, she learned quickly how vital her religion was to her family; every Sunday consisted of going to Church, and every meal had to be officially started after grace was said. Her parents raised her to live according to the faith and made no exceptions. Skylar grew up how her parents wanted her to, but started drifting away from them and the lifestyle upon entering high school. She always was quiet and obedient, but as she expanded her horizons and saw all the opportunities ahead of her, her personality changed "too drastically" for her parents. She went out more, came home later, shut herself in her room for extended periods of time--nothing out of the ordinary for a teenager. Her parents didn't like it, so the last few years at home she grew indifferent to her parents.
When her 18th birthday finally came around, she decided she was leaving home immediately after graduation. Her family had never been rich; they had always made a decent amount of money, and whatever money was left over was donated. From the money her parents would donate, Skylar would "borrow."
She never considered it stealing, because she told herself it was part of God's plan for her to leave home. After graduation rolled around, Skylar bought the first plane ticket she could get from her small town of Forks, Washington, to New York City.
Her parents , mostly her father, did not want her to leave. He scolded her and told her if she left she couldn't come back. Her mother, however, was more supportive. She told Skylar she was okay with her parting, and it was a good idea for her to explore the states while she was still young. Her mother also had always been supportive of her artwork and her dream of becoming an artist. Her father, a pretty successful businessman, was not. He believed she should follow in the foot steps of her parents and not "waste her talents" by aspiring to be something "so idiotic." She was deeply hurt by her father's words and packed the night he said that. She left her parents without as much of a "good-bye."
