Power: Can shape-shift into a cat. Specifically, a thin, long, grey tabby/Siberian long-haired cat. When she does this she is, obviously, without clothes or anything else she has on her, and for this reason she only ever shifts in private. On shifting back she often experiences disorientation and lightheadedness. She shifts when she wants to be alone or unrecognised, and enjoys walking across the school roof, which she can reach from her bedroom window. She has requested a room alone every year for easily guessed reasons.
Personality: Timid, shy and mousy (ironically), though intelligent. She shies away from new people, especially loud or outgoing ones. She's deeply afraid of crowds (enochlophobia, see?) and hates attending classes. Despite this, she's too meek to skip them. She's hardworking and mature, and utterly alone. Strangely, this doesn't bother her, because she's yet to find someone she cares enough about to come out of her shell for. As far as she sees it, as long as there's nobody she doesn't mind being with, there's nothing bad about being on her own -- the only person she truly loves is her brother. As a cat, she's twitchy and flees fast from any stranger.
Background: Jade hails from northern Europe and lived with her compassionate older brother, who knows about her power. They were abandoned by their mother after their father left, and lived off the savings they had. Unfortunately, before long, money became short, so she spent all her cash on moving into Dusk Academy. She writes to him regularly, and he to her.
Appearance:
She doesn't care for makeup or jewellery, because of the cost, though she washes her face diligently twice every day, and showers each night. She's often dressed in plain clothes, always comfortable, and is rarely seen without jeans on. Her favourite item of clothing is a wine red woollen jumper.
