Mary sat in her room. Alone. She was always alone, of late, and that didn't bother her. No-one visited, called, texted or even just... said hi to her in the street. Everyone knew who she was - and everyone stayed clear. Mary got up from her chair and examined herself in the mirror. Pale white skin and mad black hair with a black, lacy corset and skinny jeans. The combat boots were her best attribute, she had figured, by the fact that they were steel toe capped. She nodded to the mirrored version of herself, shot it a smile and proceeded to walk outside.

It was far too bright for Bloody Mary's liking. She'd always taken to darker places even in the city, but today seemed like a nice day. She wandered around the pretty empty streets of the inner city and had hoped to find the book about herself, and change it.

She stumbled upon the library. Mary slowly walked inside and pressed the bell on the counter.

Belle unlocked the doors to her library with a sigh and stepped in, turning the open sign on for people to see that the library had been open. She smiled softly as she made her way into the back room and began tagging the new books for the library while she waited for readers to stop by. Everything was peaceful and quiet for a couple hours as she made her way down the book aisles and placed the new books upon the shelves where they belonged. The female pulled her long brunette locks up into a ponytail as she began making her way back towards the back room to repeat the cycle.

A couple hours went by as she was all alone in the library after tending to other customers either checking books out, returning them, or buying some that were on sale. There was no sound to be heard until she heard the front desk bell ring which made her jump slightly from being startled. Belle giggled at herself as she lifted herself up from the desk and circled around the building to the front desk.

She was surprised to find that Mary had been standing before her. Of course she heard the many stories about her floating around town and noticed how everyone treated her, but that never mattered to her. Belle always believed that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and that's exactly what she lived by. With a soft smile upon her pale face she stated, "Hello, what may I help you with?"

Mary took a moment to take Belle in properly. She was pale and pretty - a man's perfect dream. Quiet too. Belle hadn't changed too much since they'd come to the city, that's for sure. Always the quiet bookworm. Polite. The perfect librarian.

"Er... Where's the bit on our folklore?" Mary was somewhat happy with Belle's response, as she'd sort of missed seeing people smile at her. She examined some of the other folk in the room. Ichabod Crane was sitting across from the Headless Horseman and Cinderella was browsing a bookcase labeled "Poetry". She turned her attention back to Belle, and smiled somewhat menacingly.

Belle smiled big happy to see that someone was interested in the books about their own kind who weren't the normal people from this city. The brunette began making her way from behind the front desk towards one of the book aisles. "Follow me," she stated as she waved her hand at Mary.

She made her way through the long aisle of shelves and finally stopped towards the back of the building and looked to the left of her. "Everything you need should be there. Is there a certain book you're trying to find?" Belle asked a bit curiously, hoping that she could possibly help her out a bit more. She loved showing that she cared for others, even the ones most of the city never seemed to even notice most of the time.

Mary obliged and followed Belle, scanning books as they passed. Some of them had quite odd names, but she dismissed it as the normal people's books. Story books most likely - they seemed to be obsessed with stories!

"Right at the back, then." Mary chuckled to herself, glancing at the rows of books on folklore. She attempted to see some of the titles from a distance, but sighed and slackened, huffing. "Well, you know who I am, right? I'm looking for my book. I'm sure I can find it. Pretty easy if it's in alphabetical order or... something."

Belle smirked softly and nodded her head at her answer. "Of course I know who you are..." she trailed off down the aisle and found the book exactly where she placed it not too long ago. The brunette lifted the book from the shelf and handed it to her. "Here you go Mary, is there anything else I could help you with?"

Belle glanced around through the book cases to see if she could find her book, now curious about her own story. As long as she had been in this library, she had never thought about reading her own story to see how the normal people interpreted it.

"No, no. You can go and see if anyone else has turned up to gather dust like the books." Mary nodded and flicked through the books. "Oh, wait, I'm going to borrow this. Not for long, only an hour or two? Now you can go." Mary nodded again to Belle, then scanned through the book whilst walking towards the door.

She stood wandered to the local park and lay across a bench, holding the book across her head and ripping pages out. She let the pages fly away and she prepared her pen from her pocket as she began to write her real story on the back.

Belle smiled and gave a polite nod. "Alright, you have a great day Mary," she called out to her as Mary was walking out the door. At that moment she decided that it would be time to read the story about her, to see if everything they put in it was true or made up. Of course she wasn't going to change any of it, she was just highly curious about it.

Belle trailed down the aisle where she led Mary just a few minutes ago and began looking for her book. She found it way down at the bottom of the bookcase, surprisingly covered in dust as if nobody touched it in a few years. She shrugged her shoulders and picked up the book as she blew on the front cover to get the dust off. She coughed a couple times, breathing in the dust by accident.

Scarlet made a face of mock surprise and hurt, though inside she was gloating, " I cannot believe that the infamous Bloody Mary doesn't know who little ol' me is." Her hair seemed to glow an even brighter red just then, "I can't blame you though, being unnoticed has gotten me everywhere." She smoothed out the folds in her pastel pink floral dress, "who I am isn't important right now," she said this in a lower tone keeping her head down, "but I should tell you that we are being watched." Digging around in her messenger bag she pulled out a pack of cigarettes pulling one out and placing it in her mouth lighting it with a simple silver lighter letting out a puff of smoke after a few seconds.

No longer was she playful and malicious but completely turned around to be cool and reserved. She tried keeping her expression normal but couldn't help but feel uncomfortable at the invasion of eyes. She turned to look at Mark taking off her glasses to look directly at her, "to be honest I came here for selfish reasons, I wanted to meet you pure and simple." The truth never came easy to her and this was her first interaction with anyone outside of work in monthes and she didn't appreciate getting noticed.

Wolf waited till Rose was gone, and walked over to Tom.

"alright buddy," he growled while pulling the man to his feet," time for you to get your drunken self outta here."

Tom mumbled something under his breath and stumbled out the door. Wolf sighed and realized his shift was over.

" alright, doc, I'll be going then," he said to the bartender. He really didn't know why he called him doc, it just came naturally. The bartender nodded his head and wolf walked out the door and into his pickup truck. He thought maybe he'd stop by the library and get a few books, since he wouldn't have much else to do that night. He pulled up to the library and walked in.

" hello?" he said, looking for someone, anyone.

Belle was sitting in the library's office reading one of her favorite books when she heard a male's voice calling out to see if anyone was there. The brunette placed her bookmark into the book and set it down upon the table beside her before making her way out the office and behind the front desk. She smiled softly and spoke, "Is there something I could help you with Sir?" At this point she just wished it wouldn't take too long for her to help him with what he needed to find because she really needed to close up the library.

As she was speaking with the male she turned the sign on the library door to show that it was closed but decided not to completely close up until she helped him out. Belle took a second look at the male standing before her after turning away from the door and noticed that it had been the famous wolf that many people have talked about. She also heard rumors about him and Rose, Little Red surfacing throughout the town about things that had happened in the fairy tale world. Belle rid her mind of all of those rumors and focused on what he needed so she could get out of there and just get to bed.

Terrence thought for a couple of moments, then I sudden curiosity struck him.

"Er... could I have any books that have to do with the Big Bad Wolf? For... research purposes."

The young lady attending to him seemed very familiar for some reason. He just couldn't put his finger on it. He was curious to see how books portrayed him though- to see how others saw him. Whenever he couldn't stand it anymore, he asked her,

" I'm sorry, but you look familiar. Are you a.... fairytale, per chance?"

Belle smiled at his words as she began leading him down one of the book aisles. She couldn't quite grasp why everyone was suddenly interested in reading about their own stories, but she didn't mind it. She loved helping people out, especially when it deals with her favorite thing in the world...books.

After hearing his question she nodded her head, "Yes, I'm Belle."

She bent down finding some of the books about the wolf and handed them to him. "Here you go, these are all I have right now," she stated in a soft tone.

Terrence nodded when Belle told him who she was. " I thought you looked familiar." He accepted the books she handed him, and checked his wrist watch. "Well bloody- sorry, it's getting late. Thank you," he says graciously. He walks down the aisle and out the doors. He walks up to his truck and jumps in, starting the ignition. He drives down the block, constantly glancing over at the books, calling him. When he can't take it much longer, he just pulls up by the sidewalk and picks one of them up. He stares at the book fora second, maybe even longer. Then, with a sigh, he begins to read. And read. And read. His brow furrowed the whole time, whenever he is finished he sits back in his seat and vigorously rubs at his eyes. Oh how the world must HATE him. These books are just recorded truth as to how fairytales and humans alike have utter contempt for him. Not to mention Rose. His mind began to wander back to a state of guilt. He knows that past is past, but deep down he felt he would always feel that way. He sighed and dragged his hands down his face. And just sat there for awhile, letting the peace and quiet of the night seep into him.

"They're watching you from all sides, each one of these buildings hold a half a deck each if you're lucky. But the royal guard is impatient and they won't stay back for long, also you might want to be careful who you talk to cause they might become a target too." Mary raised a sarcastic eyebrow at the girl, and scanned the area again. Watched? Why? No-one seemed to be 'watching' them apart from Little Red. And why would anyone else be targeted? "Trust me, kid, I've always been watched." Mary said simply.

"You probably won't see me again but if you ever need me here's my card," Mary examined her card, looking at the bird on it. Her mind started to slowly tick as the girl continued to talk. Mary's eyes darted to the girl again, taking her in, then examining her card. Birds... Birds.... Who's the one who does the bird thingy.... Snow? No, not Snow.... Mary nodded goodbye to the girl and headed to the library.

She entered silently, barely acknowledging Belle and then moved swiftly to the back and put her vandalised book back, before searching for the other book. "Flaming bird... flaming bird.... .... OH!" She jogged around to the historical section and took up a book on Greek Mythology. "That was Phoenix?" She flicked through the book, finding the pages about the girl. "Huh. She's been around less than me."

Belle was just about to pick up her things and head out of the library to head home before seeing Bloody Mary run back inside the library. She slowly made her way over to the brunette with a soft smile. "I'm sorry Mary, but the library is closed. If you'd like I could check that book out for you and you could take it home with you," she stated in her soft tone as she tucked her brown locks behind her ear.

When Belle glanced down at the book she noticed that she was reading about the phoenix. Truth be told there weren't many of them left in the world, even in the fairy tale world for that matter. It would be very rare for anyone to come into contact with one.

The Phoenix's words ran through her head as her attention was caught by Belle. "Right, right, sorry." She slowly closed the book and put it back. "I was just.... Researching." Mary did her best to be polite and headed to the exit. She glanced over her shoulder at Belle again, then a thought sprang through her head.

Belle looked so innocent, and everyone knew she would never hurt a fly.. Who would suspect or target her? Not those royal cardsmen, surely... "Listen... Belle..." Mary turned at the door and walked back to Belle. "Can we talk? I might..." She groaned, the unfamiliar words refusing to leave her lips. "...need help..."

Belle nodded her head at the female's words. Of course she was a bit surprised that Bloody Mary was asking for help from her, but she was going to do all she could to help her out. After all, there weren't many people Mary could have gone to for help because of her reputation. "Sure, would you like to talk here or at your place or my own?" the brunette questioned.

There was no denying how curious Belle was about what was going on and she wanted to know what it was as fast as she could possible. But she just wanted to make sure she was in a place where Mary felt comfortable about telling her.

Mary smiled a little, pushing herself to be polite. If anyone would know what that woman was going on about, it would be smarty-pants Belle. "Your place." Mary said quickly,. "It'll be far safer for you." They would never suspect Belle at all. Why would they?! She nodded quickly and headed to the door again. "Lets go. Quickly. No-one needs to see us."

Belle nodded her head in response and began leading Bloody Mary out of the library. After locking up the building, she walked a couple blocks down the street and turned into an apartment complex. "Just a couple more minutes and we should be at my place," she stated calmly. All this time Belle pondered about whatever it was that was so important that Mary had to talk to her about. She just hoped that whatever it was, it wouldn't be dangerous.
