[xxнєigнтxx] - 5'3"
[xxwєigнтxx] - 106 lb
[xxєтниiciтyxx] - 75% Italian, 17% Russian, 9% English, 9% Swedish
[xxรkiиxx] - Kass has pale skin with little to no blemishes.
[xxнαiяxx] - Kassia's hair is an extremely dark brown color that looks black half the time. It has cool undertones and glints dark red in certain lighting. Kass' hair is straight, although it can carry a slight wave to it at times. She usually has her hair down, but when it's up, it's usually in a side ponytail of sorts, splayed out on her right shoulder.
[xxєyєรxx] - Kass has blue-green eyes that change color slightly, depending on the lighting. It can sometimes look a pale silver tinted with green, yet it can also seem bright green or deep blue. Her eyelids are usually smudged with natural - though not nude - eyeshadows.
[xxиσямαl αттiяєxx] - Kassia doesn't stick to one style, although she usually wears either preppy, comfortable, or sporty clothes. Some of her clothes can also fit the girl next door type of look. She tends to not dress very eccentrically or exotically. Kass usually doesn't where something too bold, like punks or goths do. None of her clothes are especially bright-colored - no hot pinks or neon yellows. Kassia tends to stick with neutral colors, like blacks, grays, and whites, along with muted colors, like light pink, or the classics, like navy blue.
[xxαccєรรσяiєรxx] - Kass isn't the person for accessories. She used to have her ears pierced, but let the holes close since she didn't really enjoy it.
[xxdєรcяiρтiσиxx] - There's really not much to say about Kassia. She has somewhat of a slim body, but it's not especially muscular since she's not a fan of sports or athletics. Her semi-wavy locks are breast-length, and her skin is quite clear. Her eyes, usually a green with the slightest tint of blue, are her most striking feature. Kass isn't the biggest fan of makeup, although she does wear it. All Kassia wears on a semi-regular basis is eyeliner, though. She'll only wear eyeshadow, lipstick, or mascara when it's paramount.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

timid • decisive • secretive • overachiever • charming • mysterious

Kass was never the type of girl who'd crash a midnight party, whooping her lungs out. She's definitely not that rambunctious or bold. Kassia seems to be a rather timid person. She's not easily frightened, but she simply isn't that person who'd volunteer to demonstrate a dive in swim class, or that person who'd bravely ask her crush out. No, but while she's more of "keep quiet in class" type of person, she's definitely not like Fluttershy from My Little Pony.

Despite Kassia's timid nature, she's not afraid to stand by her choices. She's a naturally decisive person, and isn't one to constantly doubt her decisions. Kass isn't stubborn, though. She simply knows how to make a decision and stand by it. She has a calculating nature and a genius mind. Kassia tends to measure all the pros and cons in her mind (at practically superhuman speed, so she doesn't take forever to make a choice), and choose the best option based on those.

Want someone to keep a secret? Kass is the gal for you. She is far from a blabbermouth, and has an extreme talent of working around things so she never even goes close to having to reveal her secrets. However, she's not the most trusted person out there. Kass doesn't just keep secrets for you, she very often keeps secrets from you as well. Whether it's personal, or a project for government satellites, Kassia has a talent for avoiding questions which she doesn't want to hear or answer.

Kassia may not be that one person everyone admires for their charisma, but she could list off her achievements all day. She's an overachiever, always wanting to be the best and do the most. She's very selective about her tasks, though, choosing to pursue the things that will benefit her now or in the future.

Despite Kass' timid nature, she has this sort of quiet charm to her that makes people not hate her. She's the polite one at dinner parties, but she's not like a robot or machine. She may not be the bright and bubbly one, but Kassia knows how to make people actually like her.

Kass is not an open book. With her secretive and introverted nature, she's a bit mysterious to others, since many don't know her well at all. She has no dirty rumors about her floating around campus. She hacks into everybody's tech, but she doesn't flaunt her achievements. Barely anyone knows her personally - she's a true enigma.

S T R E N G T H S

[xxнαckiиgxx] - Kassia is one of the top students in MIT. In her turf, the students hack each other to get extra credit. Kass is incredibly good at finding the weaknesses in the firewalls, and at the same time, is good at making her own tech much harder to hack.
[xxтєcниσlσgyxx] - Kass knows the ins and outs of technology. She can do much more than hack.
[xxiитєlligєитxx] - People like Kassia are never stupid.
[xxkєєρร нєя cσσlxx] - Kass doesn't have a short fuse. She knows the significance of keeping her cool, and anger doesn't blind her common sense.
[xxรkillєd мυรiciαиxx] - Kassia is far from being the next Mozart, but years of practice on the piano and viola has made her skilled. She's not naturally talented, though.

W E A K N E S S E S

[xxรρσятรxx] - Hey, she has to be bad at something, right? To be honest, Kass doesn't suck at sports - she's only mediocre.
[xxwσяkαнσlicxx] - For Kassia, this is a bad thing. She works way too much.
[xxємσтiσиlєรรxx] - Kass isn't the one to gush about her day to her friends. She may almost seem bland at times.
[xxиσт vєяy bσldxx] - In elementary school, Kassia was never the one willing to shoot the soccer ball into the goal, in fear of messing up. She's not very bold, and prefers to stay in her comfort zone.
[xxdiรтαитxx] - Although Kass is far form cruel, she isn't the friendliest person out there.

L I K E S

[xxρiαиσxx] - She's been playing since she was five.
[xxviσlαxx] - Kassia picked this up a bit later, but she still likes it.
[xxнσт cнσcσlαтєxx] - She likes it. Not much to say.
[xxfiяєwσяkรxx] - The noise doesn't bother her.
[xxclαรรicαl мυรicxx] - She prefers it over rock music.
[xxbαkiиgxx] - Kass isn't going to be the next Master Chef, but she still enjoys baking. However, she only bakes with a recipe on hand.

D I S L I K E S

[xxรρσятรxx] - They're boring. The only thing Kass likes about sports is the Olympics.
[xxяαρ мυรicxx] - Of course, there are a few exceptions, but for the most part, Kassia strongly dislikes rap music.
[xxcнildяєиxx] - Kass isn't a kid person.
[xxнαяяy ρσттєяxx] - She tried to read it. Kassia actually failed.
[xxтєlєviรiσиxx] - It takes up too much time, and it's not good for your eyes if you watch it for too long. Kass needs to work.
[xxρнσтσgяαρнyxx] - She can get the lighting right, but Kassia can't actually take a good picture.

F E A R S

[xxkαkσяянαρнiσρнσbiαxx] - fear of failure or defeat
[xxglσรรσρнσbiαxx] - fear of public speaking
[xxkαтαgєlσρнσbiαxx] - fear of being ridiculed or embarrassed

H I S T O R Y

Kassia was born to a bio-engineer named Silvano Aiolfi and an overachieving brain surgeon named Janette Aiolfi. Kass had a pretty decent home life, growing up. Although she and her eldest sister, Acacia, who was five years older than her, had their occasional arguments, they definitely had a good relationship. However, Kassia was closest to her older brother, Willoughby (or Will), the middle child in the family, who was 2 years older than her. The two were practically attached at the hip.

Life was going pretty well for Kassia, although her family was definitely not average. Both her parents told her that success was always more important than happiness. After all, how could you be happy if you weren't successful? Growing up, Kass was always told that she had to listen to her mind over her heart. People who are led by logic may seem a bit cold and inhuman, but at least they are making the most logical decisions. Kassia's parents told her that if she listened to her logical side over her emotional one, there would be little chance that her judgement would be clouded by emotion, therefore, there'd be little chance that you would make the inconvenient choice.

Although Kass definitely had friends and emotions growing up, when it comes down to it, she'd listen to her mind over her heart. She may seem reserved and a tad cold, but Kassia has the best intentions at heart.

Although Kass' family is quite brainy, they also were known for excelling at athletics. Before he became a bio-engineer, Kassia's father was a professional soccer player. Although her mother didn't play sports professionally, Janette Aiolfi was the track, tennis, and softball star of both high school and college. Acacia was the leading softball and field hockey player in high school and college - after she graduated from Berkeley, she went on to play for the US field hockey team. Will wasn't much different. He graduated from college one year early and went on to play professional football.

Of course, with this legacy of theirs, Silvano and Janette expected their youngest child to follow suit. But while Kass was the smartest of three children, she was the least athletic. Although she wasn't horrible, she didn't have the natural athletic talent the rest of her family had. Going against her parents' wishes, Kassia ignored sports altogether, and instead focused on getting into MIT.

Finally, at the age of sixteen, Kassia got accepted (yes, she skipped two grades). Her parents grudgingly accepted the fact that they were proud of her. At age twenty, this is Kass' last year at college. She has a major in brain and cognitive sciences, and a minor in chemical-biological engineering.

P E R F E C T I O N

[xxdαтєxx] - Kass wouldn't like something too romantic. She doesn't have specific requirements for a perfect date, but overly romantic actions would make her feel uncomfortable. She'd rather have the date almost be like something that would happen between friends instead of lovers.
[xxραятиєяxx] - Kassia has never invested herself in love, so she doesn't have a good idea on what she'd like her perfect partner to be. Intelligent is a requirement, though. Kass would like someone open and warm, and person who doesn't constantly make dirty jokes. Someone sincere and not overly sappy or romantic. And although Kassia knows she shouldn't mark this as a requirement, she'd like it if he was nice to look at.
[xxσυтรidє σρiиiσиxx] - If her parents figured out that Kass was using eBAE, they've berate her and be highly disapproving. They don't believe in "the superficiality of a computer system that is eBAE". Kassia's parents believed that eBAE was for people too lazy to find a match who hasn't been manufactured for them.

Acacia would be highly surprised and a tad disapproving. She doesn't believe in going on a date with a computer system. Will would be somewhat similar, except he'd be more accepting of Kass' decision than Acacia or their parents.

Having been assigned to one of the few rooms whose windows faced the front of the house, Renne pushed the white curtains aside in order to look down at the car that was pulling up the driveway. The sleek black doors opened and out stepped a person-- someone else who would be residing in this mansion for the few following weeks. Renee did not know who else was coming to this session since everything was kept anonymous prior to the hook-up, but either way, she could not tell whether the person outside was a human or one of the machine people. Baes, they were called, but to Renee, this concept was still all too bizarre for her to be able to call them that.

It was the first person she had seen in the since being hooked up apart from the driver who hadn't spoken a word to her, the red-haired Eva, who had introduced herself as the estate's hostess and completed her check-in, and a bellboy who had escorted her up to the assigned room she was now in. Of course, it had been an hour since her arrival and Renee had not left her room. Perhaps everyone else was already here and had just stayed in their rooms like she had.

With a sigh, she let go of the curtain and took a step back. The room was nice-- the dark wood, the white and burnt yellow accents, and the industrial design undeniably created the perfect room for the young writer. If it had not been for her greater purpose, Renee was sure to have spent her days lounging in the room, writing in the ocean of earth tones.

A beep! caught her attention and she walked over to the door. Next to the door, on the wall, was a screen with the words, Message from Eva, in bold letters. Renee had been told that she would have screens in her room from which she could order things, call the staff, and receive messages. It was one of the few things she had been told since arriving here, actually. Clicking on the bold letters, an invitation popped up:

Renee,
You are cordially invited to an event in the back patio at seven.
Food will be served there.
- Eva, hostess

Renee looked at the message for a few moments. She really wished a friend or someone she knew would have walked her through all of this, or that they would've been clearer about it all. Closing down the message, Renee returned to the chair and table where she had placed her luggage. Pulling out her phone, she tried to check on the signal. Nothing, of course. It made sense since there was no reason there would be data, the only way to contact the outside world was by asking Eva and setting a direct connection, but Renee still had decided to bring her cell phone along since it contained her phone numbers and some other important information in regards to her writing.

She looked at the time at the top of the screen. Seven-- that meant she had an hour and a half to get ready. The thought made her laugh. Get ready to meet a fictional person that she didn't even know how they looked. What had her life come to? And it was all for the sake of writing.

Image

Renee had gotten ready pretty fast, putting on a simple black Peter Pan dress. She had been writing when she heard her alarm, which she had put so she didn't lose track of time. Saving her file and closing her computer, Renee stepped off the bed, put on her shoes, and made her way out. Opening the door, she looked down at the ground, where she saw a small white box. Frowning, Renee picked it up and opened it. Inside, there was a small purple pin and a note that indicated that she should wear it. Doing as instructed, Renee put the pin on the left side of her chest before tossing the box towards a chair inside and starting down the hall.

Kassia quietly drove through the relatively empty road, Chopin's Étude Op. 10, No. 12 in C minor - more commonly known as his Revolutionary Etude - playing faintly in the background. "I can't believe you out of all people, are actually doing this," Anya Sutton, Kass' best friend outside of MIT, droned on, her voice slightly altered coming out of the phone. The call between Kass and Anya had lasted 20 minutes.

"I can't believe it either," Kass reminded her friend, almost wearily. The two were polar opposites, in appearance, personality, and interests. While Kassia was short and fair-skinned with dark hair and green eyes, Anya was tall with an athlete's body. Kass' best friend sported blonde hair and a bit of a tan due to playing so many sports, and her eyes were as dark as obsidian.

They were different in demeanor as well. Kass was timid and reserved, but she was a hard-worker, and as Anya said, had a certain charm to her. While Anya was outgoing, relaxed, and had many friends, she couldn't exactly be described as charismatic. And of course, out of the two, Kass was the intellectual while Anya was the athlete.

"The only person who's less likely to use eBAE," Anya continued cheerily, "is that 16-year-old junior at your university with the high cheekbones and galaxy eyes. She's the genius who constantly commandeers motorcycles for fun but can still get away with it because of her older brother, right? What's her name? Aiden? Jayden?"

Kassia laughed quietly. "It's Kadyn, Anya," she reminded her friend. "She's popular in a way where everybody knows her and hates her. Technically, she has heterochromia. Although her eyes strangely resemble the crab nebula."

There was a pause at the other end of the line, and Kassia quickly hurried to explain. "Outer space, Anya. Not a meal or an animal."

Kass' blonde friend understood. "Oh," she stretched the vowel. "Yeah, okay. Anyway, this is so exciting! I'm so happy for you! Squee! You, Kassia Catarina Aiolfi, are finally finding love! Or as you would say, 'going on a simulated date.' But everyone will see that under all that studying, math, and science, you are such a sweetie!"

Kassia chuckled weakly.

"Relax, Kassie," Anya continued, no change in her tone. "I would tell you to calm down, but you're always calm. So relax."

"Thanks, Anya," the brunette said sincerely. "Oh, wait, I'm here. Thanks for chatting with me."

Kass heard a bright "You're welcome!" respond to her as she shut off her cell.

intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.

Most people were driven here, but Kass specifically requested to drive herself. eBAE had allowed her to rent a car from them; a driver came as soon as Kass stepped out and grabbed her things, the tall man replacing her in the driver's seat. The black car slowly disappeared into the distance.

After that, it was all a blur. Kassia met the redhead hostess, Eva, and was escorted to her room, where she was currently. Her window faced the front, so she could see the cars pulling up. The actual room was decent by Kassia's standard. The interior design didn't really matter to her. It wasn't too posh, but it was fancy in a cozy way, with the browns, bricks, and lights.

A beeping sound caught her attention as Kass approached the door. Hmm, a message from Eva.

Kassia,
You are cordially invited to an event in the back patio at seven.
Food will be served there.
- Eva, hostess

According to the clock, Kass had half an hour to get ready. That wasn't a problem, Kassia wasn't one for extravagant clothing or makeup anyway.

knowledge is having the right answer; intelligence is asking the right question.

Kass zipped up a black faux leather top with shimmering rhinestones decorating the collar (it was a miracle she could reach the zipper on her back). She then slipped on her knee-length geometrically patterned skirt, the light nude waistband fitting snugly. The skirt was an almost muted orange color, with stark black squares and very pale cream triangles meticulously lined up in almost a diagonal pattern. Kass wasn't one for accessories, but she chose to slip on a thin silver chain bracelet. She then placed her feet in simple black leather flats. After that was done, Kassia opened the door to see a small white box at her doorstep. The green-eyed brunette opened up the box and saw a small blue pin. The note that was in the box instructed her to wear it. Kass shrugged, pinning the accessory to the right side of her chest before carefully placing the white box atop a tabletop, heading out the door.

Kassia did not have a good feeling about this. It was evident in her mannerisms. She was holding a glass of champagne, and was definitely tempted to start stress-chugging it.

She had a very difficult time with love and romance. Over the last twenty years of her life, only one person had even caught her attention. And he also happened to be her long-term boyfriend who broke things off after four months.

Then again, Kass couldn't exactly blame said boyfriend. To be honest, she wasn't a very good girlfriend to Brandon - it wasn't exactly a Sherlock Holmes mystery. She spent all her time studying, because after all, Kass was admittedly not a natural genius. Her IQ was only around 135 at most. To some, that might be quite high, but to Kassia, it was a mere average or even worse. Einstein's IQ was around 160. Sir Isaac Newton's IQ was definitely somewhere around 190. Heck, Leonardo Da Vinci had an IQ of 220 at the least - anything higher than 200 is deemed immeasurable genius.

But Kassia Aiolfi was not the type of person who'd let a low IQ stop her from achieving her goals. She studied so much for a good reason. Getting into and becoming one of the top students of Massachusetts Institute of Technology was definitely not enough though.

Kass sincerely hoped that eBAE was smart enough to craft her a highly intelligent date.

Suddenly, out of the blue, someone had started laughing in an almost maniacal manner; to say that Kass was irked out by the blonde, blue-eyed giggler was an understatement. Good, Kassia thought to herself, relieved. I don't see a blue pin on him. He's not my date. After all, why would he be? eBAE is known for making their clients perfect dates.

After a quick scan, Kassia realized that Blondie wasn't wearing a pin at all. That can't be right, she thought. The most possible explanation is that he had forgotten his pin in his room. If that was true, than that meant Blondie could very well be Kassia's date after all. At that thought, Kass had muttered out an uncharacteristic statement under her breath as she turned towards a wall, champagne glass to her lips.

"Oh, shit."
