{ H E I G H T }
Approximately 5'8".

{ P H Y S I C A L--D E S C R I P T I O N }
Even as a child, Teddy maintained an athletic figure as she spent the larger majority of her time swimming at the local pool or diving off the pier by her house. She was always strong, and a fair bit taller than most of her peers. These days she trains daily at home and has a slim, toned figure to show for it. She is a notably attractive young woman with strong features, piercing blue eyes, long brown hair that stretches to just below her breasts in length, and a pale complexion that clearly hasn't seen much sun recently.

{ N O R M A L--A T T I R E }
Prior to her retirement, she typically clad herself in an outfit that was tailored specifically for her by a dear friend. It consists of a black tunic, tight trousers, long boots, and a three-quarter length coat -- all of which are made from a strange black material. She claims that these garments are impenetrable (armoured), and do not become dirty no matter how much she wears them. Although they've been locked away in her wardrobe up until now, she is wearing them on her vacation... just as a precaution.

{ A C C E S S O R I E S }
If it serves no purpose, she will not wear it. So slapping on a few accessories just for the fun of it isn't something she does often.

{ O T H E R }
Her entire right arm is inked in tattoos of nonsensical symbols and images, from wrist to shoulder length. They are completely black, with no other colour to be seen whatsoever.

{ P E R S O N A L I T Y }
Teddy has - in the past - been described by friends, family, and comrades as someone who is "strong-willed, intelligent, sharp-tongued, and who doesn't suffer fools gladly." She was always very independent, confident, and perhaps too proud for her own good. She had next to no friends growing up, since she believed her peers were little more than a bunch of uneducated half-wits, but that was okay. She had her books, hobbies, and most importantly she had one hell of an imagination -- which she puts down to her Uncle and his wild, creative stories of hidden magical worlds and creatures of myth. She also gained her sense of humour from her Uncle; she could be silly and childish, or she could be silver-tongued, sarcastic, and entirely ruthless. It would really all depend on her company and/or the situation. Despite everything, Teddy was a good child. She never rebelled against her parents, who she loved with all her heart, and she did well in school. It wasn't until she got wrapped up in the wrong crowds that she began to change.

Nowadays, however, a lot of the traits she possessed as a wilful young teenager have been pushed to the furthest reaches of her self. She is seemingly very quiet, preferring to view the world and those in it from a distance. She observes people with a sharp, judgemental stare, and is more likely to slap the taste out of your mouth as she is to sit and have a civilised conversation you. Much that she is trying to lighten up a bit, she lacks trust in people and is visibly wary of everyone around her. She is still as sarcastic as she used to be, but nowadays she is more aloof and distant. It will take a lot of effort to break down her walls, if that's even possible.

{ S T R E N G T H S }
â–ē Resourceful & Observant // Teddy is known to be very intelligent; she can solve problems to get herself out of difficult situations with ease, and at any given moment she is carefully analysing those around her. She notices even the smallest shift in body language or facial expression.
â–ē Loyal // Once she develops a friendship with someone, she remains wholeheartedly loyal to that person.
â–ē Hand-to-hand Combat // Her mentor saw to it that she was trained by the most skilled professionals in the arts of Kenpo Karate, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, and Capoeira. She shows proficiency in punches, kicks, elbows, headbutts, and throws. So... she's an all-round talented fighter.

{ F L A W S }
â–ē Without Magic // Teddy always relied fairly heavily on her magic, more so the alter-ego that would usually show up to save her from life-or-death situations. She lost her magic after the incident, and feels truly and utterly lost without it. She can sometimes panic if her life is truly put at risk.
â–ē Stubborn // If someone has the nerve to tell her what to do, she will actively go out of her way to do the complete opposite. She'll make a real show of it, too. In her own mind she doesn't have to answer to anyone but herself.
â–ē Distrusting // Teddy has the hardest time expecting anything but the worst from people. Either that they're not worth her time and effort, or that they'll turn against her at the first given opportunity. Sometimes it's just easier for her to stay on her own, and because of that she made a habit of keeping everyone at arm's length... Can't get hurt if you don't let anyone get too close.

{ L I K E S }
â–ē Anyone with a decent sense of humour.
â–ē Strangely enough, she likes being sincerely complimented.
â–ē Treating herself to junk food.
â–ē Music and movies from the 80s.

{ D I S L I K E S }
â–ē Being talked down to or underestimated, especially by those she refers to as "mortals."
â–ē Guys who think they can get any girl they want.
â–ē She vehemently despises vampires, as per her past with them.
â–ē Tight, confined spaces.

Teddy is one of the main protagonists of a series under the name of, "the Unseen." It covers nine books, one for each time that Teddy and her friends have been relied upon to save Ireland (and subsequently the world) from those who would seek to conquer or destroy it. The story itself focuses on a hidden magical world, as well as the various creatures that dwell within it.

Teddy was recruited by a secret society of Mages at a very young age after her keen wit and penchant for getting herself into trouble had her involved in some very nasty business with a group of rogue sorcerers. Her wily spirit and intelligence helped her develop an unbreakably strong friendship with her saviour; the man who later became her trusted mentor. Together they would go on to solve mysteries and crimes all across Ireland. Through sheer luck it was discovered that she could do magic. She dabbled in many different kinds over the years; elemental, shadows, and towards the end of her career she could manipulate what can only be described as pure light energy, almost resembling white lightning.

Through the course of the books, Teddy has saved the world close to eight times and nearly destroyed it once after a grave dip in sanity and a surge in power caused her to turn her back on her friends. She vowed to destroy every planet in every realm of existence that she came across. She didn't even come close, however, as she was subdued by her mentor and thereafter lost touch with all the magic she previously possessed. Guilt and regret forced her into hiding, where she has stayed until now.

{ L O V E--L I F E }
Teddy has only ever dated two guys in her life, and they were kind of at the same time. She met her boyfriend whilst investigating a couple of strange disappearances in town, and after a year of turning him down, she finally agreed to date him. He was sweet enough in his own right but... he was safe. He was like a lovesick puppy, and she grew tired of him. That's where the other guy comes in. He was gorgeous, charming, and a little dangerous. Everything her boyfriend wasn't, for he was a vampire. Long story short, she saw both of them for a couple of years, before it all went downhill. She broke up with her boyfriend after telling him the truth, and tried to reject her "side piece" but he was already too obsessed. He tried to take her life, stating that if he couldn't have her then no one could. So she had no choice but to kill him first.

{ P E R F E C T--D A T E }
Teddy isn't the sort of girl to dress herself up, go out on the town and get wasted with a guy. She hates going to restaurants and isn't particularly fond of cute little "couple" activities, or at least the idea of them. Truth be told she hasn't really been on a date since the age of 16, and even then she didn't do much beyond just hanging out, so she's not entirely sure what she wants now.

{ T H R E E--A D J E C T I V E S }
Based on her dating experience so far, she doesn't think she'd cope well with people who are too sweet and romantic. Her ex was a gentleman, through and through, and she got bored of that real fast. But neither does she have it in her to trust those who come across as total players, especially guys who think they're god's gift to women. Realistically, she'd respond well to someone who is strong-willed, unconventional, and genuine.

{ F A M I L Y--I N P U T }
Teddy's current friends, of which there are very few, are the only reason she agreed to go on this vacation in the first place. They thought she needed to meet some new people, and maybe at least one of them would be able to crack her cold exterior. She agreed to go only to get them off her case, truth be told. She hasn't seen her family in years, but she imagines they'd find the idea rather amusing if they ever found out.

Having been assigned to one of the few rooms whose windows faced the front of the house, Renne pushed the white curtains aside in order to look down at the car that was pulling up the driveway. The sleek black doors opened and out stepped a person-- someone else who would be residing in this mansion for the few following weeks. Renee did not know who else was coming to this session since everything was kept anonymous prior to the hook-up, but either way, she could not tell whether the person outside was a human or one of the machine people. Baes, they were called, but to Renee, this concept was still all too bizarre for her to be able to call them that.

It was the first person she had seen in the since being hooked up apart from the driver who hadn't spoken a word to her, the red-haired Eva, who had introduced herself as the estate's hostess and completed her check-in, and a bellboy who had escorted her up to the assigned room she was now in. Of course, it had been an hour since her arrival and Renee had not left her room. Perhaps everyone else was already here and had just stayed in their rooms like she had.

With a sigh, she let go of the curtain and took a step back. The room was nice-- the dark wood, the white and burnt yellow accents, and the industrial design undeniably created the perfect room for the young writer. If it had not been for her greater purpose, Renee was sure to have spent her days lounging in the room, writing in the ocean of earth tones.

A beep! caught her attention and she walked over to the door. Next to the door, on the wall, was a screen with the words, Message from Eva, in bold letters. Renee had been told that she would have screens in her room from which she could order things, call the staff, and receive messages. It was one of the few things she had been told since arriving here, actually. Clicking on the bold letters, an invitation popped up:

Renee,
You are cordially invited to an event in the back patio at seven.
Food will be served there.
- Eva, hostess

Renee looked at the message for a few moments. She really wished a friend or someone she knew would have walked her through all of this, or that they would've been clearer about it all. Closing down the message, Renee returned to the chair and table where she had placed her luggage. Pulling out her phone, she tried to check on the signal. Nothing, of course. It made sense since there was no reason there would be data, the only way to contact the outside world was by asking Eva and setting a direct connection, but Renee still had decided to bring her cell phone along since it contained her phone numbers and some other important information in regards to her writing.

She looked at the time at the top of the screen. Seven-- that meant she had an hour and a half to get ready. The thought made her laugh. Get ready to meet a fictional person that she didn't even know how they looked. What had her life come to? And it was all for the sake of writing.

Image

Renee had gotten ready pretty fast, putting on a simple black Peter Pan dress. She had been writing when she heard her alarm, which she had put so she didn't lose track of time. Saving her file and closing her computer, Renee stepped off the bed, put on her shoes, and made her way out. Opening the door, she looked down at the ground, where she saw a small white box. Frowning, Renee picked it up and opened it. Inside, there was a small purple pin and a note that indicated that she should wear it. Doing as instructed, Renee put the pin on the left side of her chest before tossing the box towards a chair inside and starting down the hall.

As the door closed behind her, Teddy allowed herself a few silent moments to survey the room she'd been assigned for the duration of her stay. She wasn't the sort to stay cooped up in one place for too long, but depending on the company she'd be keeping on this vacation, she might have to spend a lot, if not most of her time here.

The room itself was a little too fancy for her tastes, but she was in no position to complain. She hadn't paid for this trip herself, so she'd take whatever she was given while keeping her complaints to herself. She set her bag down by the bed and wasted no time at all picking off the unnecessary amount of pillows, tossing them to the far side of the room where they formed a messy pile, as well as the additional sheets/blankets that she knew she wouldn't need. Eventually she'd stripped it down to one pillow and one thin blanket, which she was much more pleased with.

She picked her bag up and placed it on the bed, zipping it open to reveal some rather questionable items. A pair of black gloves and a mask, both the same armoured material as the black clothes she was currently wearing, as well as knives, batons, handcuffs, and some formerly magical items that seem to have lost any semblance of it. There was even a small packet of biscuits in there just in case. She could only imagine that the food here would be as needlessly fancy as the rooms. Nothing at all like the simple meal of a hamburger and chips she'd grown used to. And at that thought, her stomach gave a low grumble. She'd likely have to venture out of her room soon enough.

Suddenly there was a loud beep from the other side of the room, causing Teddy to flinch slightly. She released a deep exhale and quietly reminded herself not to be so on edge, before her eyes scanned for the source of the noise. There was a screen beside the door that she hadn't noticed when she'd first arrived, and on it sat a message. "From Eva," she murmured, her eyes narrowing slightly. One quick tap on the notification brought up an invitation, which she read aloud. She was to attend some sort of meet-up at the estate's patio, where she could meet the people with whom she'd be living for the next month. Much that she knew the experience would be a terrible one, at least for her, she tried not to worry too much about it. Getting all stressed and cranky wouldn't help her situation.

After reaching down to check that the knife she'd been carrying was still tucked away in her boot, she felt adequately prepared to deal with whatever was beyond that door, and after taking a deep breath she turned the handle and stepped outside.

Teddy hadn't noticed the small box waiting outside the door of her room until she kicked it with the steel toe of her boot on the way out, sending it scuttling across the floor until it hit the adjacent wall. She gave a sigh as she bent to retrieve it, before lifting the lid to reveal a small red pin. According to the note, her designated "partner" for this meet-and-greet would be wearing one of the same colour. Fantastic, she thought. However, wearing the pin as it was meant to be worn would not be easy with these armoured clothes, so instead of clasping it to her coat she merely closed her fist around it and returned to close the door of her room.

It began to dawn on her how real this all was. Even before she went into hiding, social interaction had never been her forte. She was more likely to ignore someone and walk away than she was to entertain even the thought of being friendly. Yet here she was, on her way to meet a person with whom she was meant to chat and get to know. She gave a silent prayer to the poor soul that ended up with the other red pin...

Teddy had no intention of heading straight to the patio, where she imagined the rest of the guests would already be heading. Instead, she took her time wandering the halls, like she'd done with the lower floors upon arriving, familiarising herself with every hallway and door she came across in order to create something of a mental map of the estate. It's not that she expected anything to go wrong on this vacation, but it would be foolish for her not to prepare herself in the event that something bad did happen.

Before long she found herself nearing the patio, and noticed that she was the first to arrive there. Seems she hadn't spent nearly as much time perusing the halls as she'd thought. It was almost a relief, but she knew better than to let herself become too comfortable. The worst was yet to come.

Teddy stepped up to the banister and looked out at the garden with a huff. It was a gorgeous view, no doubt about that. Still she couldn't quite bring herself to appreciate it, what with the sudden sense of irritation that she hadn't bolted when the opportunity was staring her in the face. She couldn't even remember what had possessed her to turn up here in the first place, let alone what was actually keeping her here. Shaking her head, se unzipped her jacket and slowly removed it, revealing a pair of impressively muscular arms - one of which was inked entirely in nonsensical symbols and images - and strong shoulders that most would kill for. She slung her jacket over the back of a nearby chair, but didn't take a seat. Instead she returned to the banister and leaned her weight on it, eyes fixed on the view ahead.

——— child of the night. ———

While nobody else was particularly left questioning the rural location of the state, considering that they had never been at eBAE or that perhaps a rural state was indeed their perfect setting for this sort of thing, Leo had been shocked -confused and, really, sort of annoyed as well- when he found himself in a car riding down a dirt road through the countryside.

Like every other guest, Leopoldo had been approached by Eva upon his arrival. The hostess was different physically from the other hosts of the sessions he had gone to, but she had the same charisma and warmth that the hosts had.

He had been escorted up to his room and was glad to have found that at least his room was exactly like he always had: unharmonious with the estate's elegant decoration, his room white and modern-- cold compared to the rest of the house. Despite loving colors on his canvas, Leopoldo was very particular about the colors of his home and where he resided. The places had to be predominantly white-- it always made him feel a little calmer and cleaner. Which was not something very common in his life.

As the first to have arrived to the estate, Leopoldo had been here for several hours by now. He didn't worry about having seen no one else apart from those managing the estate since he had gone through all of this before, although it had been a hotel in the city and not in something as rural as this. What Leopoldo didn't know is that for him, the first glitch in the system had occurred. It was a minor thing: the first guest arriving hours before everyone else, since people usually arrived by increments of thirty minutes.

As the first to have arrived to the estate during the late hours of the morning, which was actually way before anyone else has arrived, Leopoldo had been at the estate for several hours by now. He had lingered around his room for sometime before deciding to open the blinds and look outside. His eyes rows raised slightly as he saw the green scenery. It was indeed beautiful and if he were a realism artists, he would have loved to paint the contrast of the white flowers in the garden below and the blue of the pool against the green. Well, maybe he would do something if he was inspired. Leopoldo always tried to put painting aside during these days since he came to forget the real world, but sometimes he was extremely inclined to do it.

After contemplating the view for a few minutes, he had walked back to his room and laid down on the mattress. It would just be a matter of time until he got a message from Eva about the meet-and-greet where he would meet his partner for the time being. Maybe all of the estate just for staying during the day and he could drive to the city or something to party. The thought of actually being here did not cross his mind because he figured that maybe something in his profile had changed and that everything would eventually work out.

Leopoldo really hadn't been worried about finding the estate basically empty. He knew it usually was like this and had decided to take a walk through the gardens. It was through his smart watch that Leo received the message from Eva. Although he knew there was the meet-and-greet, he still needed to know what time it was at.

He had already received his pin since they were placed at each door shortly after each person arrived. It was red-- a color he found very fitting. Leopoldo had pinned it to his white collared shirts, which he had pair with dark blue slacks, and had headed out. Now, looking down at his watch, Leopoldo saw that it was time. He always waited like ten minutes to actually get there, knowing that sometimes his partner, Erica, which had been the same Bae he had met since his first time, was late.

When he finally got to the patio, Leopoldo began to look for her. He frowned, wondering what had happened when a flash of red caught his eye.

"What?" he asked under his breath, a frown forming on his face. This was not Erica.

Before she could see him, Leopoldo took off his pin and slipped it into his pocket. He took some time to approach the woman actually and managed to quickly pass down two glasses of champagne from one of the waiters, which he knew wouldn't actually do anything to him but he needed to drink something.

Leopoldo wasn't sure what was going on-- why would she have the same pin? It was definitely the same color.

He kept glancing over at her throughout these few minutes, however, and after a moment he finally began walking towards her.

"Hello miss," he finally said when he was close enough. There was still a certain coldness in his state, although this wasn't too unusual with his personality, but there was a lopsided smile on his lips. "It seems like we have been given the same pin," he added, pulling his out from his pocket.

Simon arrived to the estate via car, as he assumed most would. The only issue was that he didn't know how to drive, so he was confined to the back seat, fiddling with the several hematite bracelets he wore while being lost in his own thoughts of what would come from this experience. Sure he may enjoy himself and meet a girl that wouldn't reject him after five minutes, but he couldn't rid the thought from his mind that this was not permanent. And he really couldn't afford to come here again.

Best make the most of it while I'm here then, he thought to himself, peering out of the window to see if they were any closer to their destination.

At the end of the day, Simon was simply too excited - and far too foolishly optimistic - to regret his decision to come here. Above all else, he just needed a vacation. A break from the stresses of family, work, and dating any girl that would have him. The prospect of meeting a young woman specifically designed to suit his romantic needs had taken a sort of backseat the second he laid eyes on the estate. Of course he was still looking forward to that part -- he's only human, after all.

When he walked through the doors, he was greeted by the apparent hostess of this session, a woman who had introduced herself as Eva. It was all a little unsettling, but he did try his best to be polite. There were several moments where he would stare a little too long, or give a delayed reply to a question or statement. Thankfully the situation was over quickly, though he was left with some small doubt that he would be just as uncomfortable in the presence of his assigned Bae.

After the check-in process had been completed, he was escorted to his room on the second floor of the estate by one of its bellboys, who had taken it upon himself to cart around Simon's larger-than-normal suitcase. It was his nature to over-prepare for everything, and since they'd be here for a month or so he knew that packing light wouldn't be the smartest idea. He carried his own smaller bags, however.

As soon as the door closed behind him, Simon released the handle of his suitcase, set the additional bags down on the floor beside it, and ventured further into the room, smiling in appreciation of its design. It was a lot fancier than anything he'd ever experienced in his life, so to say the absolute least he was in heaven. He could really get used to being here.

He was in the process of freshening up in the bathroom when the notification came through to his room, and he looked up in confusion for a moment before setting down his toothbrush and peering around the doorway. The screen beside his door that had previously been blank upon entering was now alight with a single message, which held an invitation to the day's meet-and-greet. It came sooner than he expected, but he was glad for it nonetheless.

After checking himself once more in the mirror, Simon eventually left his room, closing the door behind himself. There was a small white box sitting at his feet when he turned around. He wondered for the briefest moment who had left it there; he hadn't heard anyone outside of his room in all that time. Picking it up, he inspected its contents only to find a set of instructions and a green pin, which he proceeded to pin to the right side of his chest; the green standing out against the deep blue of his tight shirt.

Navigating the halls of the estate was no easy task for Simon, but off to the meet-and-greet he went, curious to discover who would be waiting for him when he did arrive.

A fair amount of time had passed since Teddy arrived at the patio, and over that time she had begun to feel little conflicted; on one hand she was growing rather impatient, wondering when people were finally going to turn up, but on the other hand she hoped they simply wouldn't.

"Hello miss," came a voice from behind her. Teddy turned only her head at first, peering over her bare shoulder to see a young man in his twenties looking in her direction. Her eyes traced his features for the briefest of moments, before he spoke up again. "It seems like we have been given the same pin," he added. She shifted her focus to the red pin he now held in his hand, pursing her lips at the sight of it. For whatever reason, she glanced at her own pin as if she hoped it would have miraculously changed colour in the time it took her to explore the manor. But alas, it was still red. This man was to be her partner for the meet-and-greet. The moment had finally arrived, and there was no escaping it.

At this realisation, she straightened up until she was no longer leaning on the railings and turned to face him fully, giving an almost inaudible sigh as she did so. He was a handsome lad in his own right; a little short for her tastes, in truth, and she'd never been a fan of facial hair in general. Other than that he wasn't too shabby to look at. Not that it mattered, of course. She wasn't here to meet someone.

Every instinct in her mind and body was telling her to shut this conversation down before it had the chance to progress further, mostly because she had the strangest feeling that this guy wasn't the sort she could get along with easily. Teddy was no fool -- there was something hidden behind that smile he wore, something in his eyes that hinted maybe she wasn't what he'd been hoping or looking for. Still, she knew she shouldn't jump to conclusions without even giving him a chance, as well as acknowledging that she was being the biggest hypocrite in the world for judging his cold demeanour.

Friendly, Ted. You should at least try to be friendly, she reminded herself, and wondered briefly if she even knew how.

With as much effort as she could muster in this situation, Teddy forced a smile to lift the corners of her lips, though it was gone as quickly as it had appeared and her expression relaxed into the usual soft frown she wore every second of every day. "Ah, yes... I s'pose nice to meet ye'," she replied, her strong Irish vocals filling the brief silence that had fallen between them. She gave a short nod as she spoke, shifting until she was leaning with her back against the railing and her arms were crossed against her chest. "Name's Theodora," she informed him. "Ye' can call me Teddy or Theo, I really don't care which."

She wasn't particularly fond of nor familiar with gestures and non-violent physical contact but part of her debated whether or not to extend a hand for him to shake, halted only by the fear that he'd think she was odd if she did. This situation really didn't need to get any more uncomfortable for her.

"What's your name then, lad?" she asked, not because she genuinely wanted to know -- it was mostly out of common courtesy at this point.
