❝Two ships pass at night, they've finally found one another.❞

It was strange. Both of them were suffering intensely as a result of their fun last night and yet despite the mutual hangover and the way both girls were hardly able to do anything but moan and whine about their many pains everywhere... it felt right. It felt good, just being here with Reyna, suffering with her, Corona didn't mind it one bit. Nami was gladly gone, and Corona just wanted today to be for her and Reyna, if such a thing was possible. Knowing their sisters, it wouldn't be, and she tensed, as if expecting the uninvited to burst in out of boredom. A part of her wondered exactly, what the heck did all the trials and challenges even mean, some of them were just so random that it was impossible for it to be a metaphor!

Well, whatever the case, it hurt to think too much, so Corona decided, nah, she wouldn't, she would just lay in bed and ignore the steamed flavored bread and just focus on snuggling and being with Reyna. With the blinds closed, the room was much more dim, a very thankful change to the morning sun just earlier. "If I try drinking... I'll die."[/color[ Corona said with absolute sincerity. She truly believed that ingesting anything, even a substance as harmless as water, would kill her. [color=#9757ff]"Peachshine... we should be more careful... in the future..." No more drinking! Or maybe, only drink a little bit! Both of those sounded like good ideas, certainly. It did taste great though, maybe even amazing. If Nami made it, Corona had to wonder how much of it was aphrodisiacs, and how much of it was their hearts wanting to connect and ignoring the brain in order to do so.

"Yes... stay close... it helps." Corona's voice was very quiet, to the point of being inaudible if you were anyone other than Reyna. She placed her hand gently over Reyna's as both girls lay on the bed, pretty much in the nude and neither minding it one bit. "Maybe bath later.... bed is best." Bath meant moving and waking up, but remaining in this sleepy heaven was just right for Corona. Both girls sharing body heat, there was nothing better than this. "Please stay forever." Corona was becoming possessive again, a sly grin rising on her face as she inched her body closer to Reyna's.

The grin only grew wider at Reyna's admission. "Was it... a naughty dream?" She asked teasingly, but there wasn't much energy behind it. She delicately pressed a finger right on the crest between Reyna's legs, quickly removing her hand, just a teasing little touch. "Perhaps a little... reminder would... would serve your memory well." A faint pink glow nestled on her cheeks as she spoke. "I remember... every cute noise you made, every gentle curve of your body - and all of your best spots to touch."

Reyna had heard of all different sorts of stages of drunkness. There were angry drunks, happy drunks, lusty drunks, blackout drunks, etc, etc. She had never imagined herself being any sort of drunk because Reyna preferred her mind whole and uninfluenced by aged concoctions of wheat and barley. Nami had been ever so sneaky in her plan to make the girls impaired so that they would open up to one another. Had Reyna perhaps spilled secrets that she would never otherwise say while sober? Was Nami's plan to get them so drunk that they could say whatever first came into their heads and spill their deepest, darkest secrets with complete confidence in the other. If Corona had told Reyna any of her's, Reyna most certainly would not be able to recollect them. She never wanted to drink again after the previous night, not if it ended with these consequences every time. Unless that was just a first time drinking thing?

"Nami's clever," Reyna admitted, "using a juice as strong as peach to mask the scent of the moonshine." It was ingenious, far too clever for Nami's typical train of thought, unless of course, someone had been assisting her in her exploration of mixing drinks. The only other girl Reyna could think of who liked to drink as much as Nami was Shannon, but that was for an entirely other reason. Had the two worked together on this little scheme while both girls were out of commission and recovering from being poisoned? Whatever the case, it had given Reyna and Corona the privacy and chance to connect that both were seeking but were too afraid to admit. Perhaps Nami wasn't the clueless, slightly scatterbrained Mother they all thought her to be, perhaps she was a devious genius of love; the exact person she had been claiming to be since arriving on the island.

Corona placed an arm over Reyna, the two of them snuggling close underneath the blanket, just in case one of the girls burst in. That was the thing about living with seventy six other mermaids, you never had any privacy. Reyna had never minded it, she had never had privacy as a child either and knew how to hide things but now, well, this wasn't something she could hide. Unless someone was guarding the the door, the two of them were going to have to be very careful in the future and take care that no one could sneak in on them, especially not Nami. "You're so warm," Reyna admitted. It wasn't a bad warmth, a nice toasty warmth that heated her right up. When had Corona become the dominant one? Reyna didn't know, but she didn't mind letting Corona take the lead. Reyna had been a follower her whole life, whenever she tried to make a plain it never failed to go badly and she would be glad to follow Corona if it meant being spared from the pain of failure. "I'll stay," Reyna said quietly.

Reyna blushed and shook her head. "No, it wasn't, it was um, just a regular dream, I think." Regular for Reyna maybe, but surely others didn't have flashbacks of foiled assassination attempts and being caught by the enemy? Corona's hand slithered down and Reyna gasped, not an unpleasant sound. It was quick, just like that, corona's hand was gone, leaving Reyna's cheeks and Netherlands to heat up. "Y-you're making me b-blush," Reyna stuttered, suddenly feeling very small and vulnerable in Corona's gasp.

It wasn't the first time Nami exhibited intelligence behind that far-too-smiley face of hers she always wore, that's for sure. Corona was having a hard time trying to figure out who the real Nami was. Was she just an airhead that kept on getting lucky all the time with the things she did out of utter spontaneity? Or was she a genius that knew how to read people and knew how to make them happy by being sneaky and silly about it? It was anyone's guess at this point and Corona had no idea what to expect from their new Mother. "Let's... prank her later." Corona said, wanting revenge. The only question was what kind of prank would even work on someone like Nami? What was there that she wasn't confident about? Corona had no clue.

Glad that Reyna promised to stay, Corona knew that she had the chance to tease and bully Reyna a little bit. With their positions as they were under the blanket, Corona was facing Reyna, but Reyna was facing outward. This meant that the former had access to the latter's body but the opposite wasn't true. She could simply reach around and touch and stroke whatever needed it, making Reyna give the appropriate reactions each time. "I don't see a powerful agent here, I just see a cute girl whose body I can control like a toy." Corona's voice became a tiniest bit husky, she was feeling warm as she bullied Reyna's body with every light touch and tap. "But don't worry, I'll make the princess feel-"

And that was when Corona realized exactly what she was saying and her entire body went beet red. "I - uh... argh, I ruined it." Well, whatever. And so the two spent some indeterminate amount of time cuddling like normal people instead of doing what Corona was doing, and then, well, they did need to have some sustenance. "I'll go first... wish me luck." Corona drank the water and rubbed her head to try and help stop the head pain. She then munched a little on the bread. It was delicious, but it also made her feel sick. And eventually with effort, Corona knew something needed to be done.

"We probably smell awful." She said with a tiny quiet laugh, because every sense was just far too sensitive as of right now. "We really should get cleaned up... should we help each other to the bathroom?" It had been a few hours since waking and although it wasn't much, Corona did feel a tiny bit better, a tiny bit more able to move. "Don't worry, um, I won't do anything weird in the bath... promise." There was only so many embarrassing things she could say before reaching her limit.

Reyna couldn't help but blush and wriggle as Corona touched and taped and squeezed wherever she pleased. Reyna couldn't exactly reach back at this angle to return fire either. So while Corona played her like a finely tuned instrument, Reyna was completely under her mercy. "C-Corona!" Reyna moaned at one point when her friend, turned lover called her a toy. In that moment, Corona stopped, confidence faltering, but the heat was already there and Reyna didn't know how to make it stop. Corona was the one completely in control now, or at least until she decided that she had ruined the moment. It seemed that those needs were going to have to wait. "I don't think you ruined it," Reyna shook her head and very slowly sat up, it seemed that it was time for food after all.

Reyna joined Corona on the other side of the tray. "Good luck," Reyna said and picked up her own glass, raising it ever so slightly before chugging. Heaven almighty, that certainly made a difference! Her head no longer throbbed as badly after the second glass, the only different was that now Reyna had to go the bathroom. "It helped, I know it hurts right now, but try drinking as much as you can." Reyna put the bread down, just like Corona, Reyna was far too nauseous to eat and was now full from the water. "It's not bad, I just wish it were a bit more bland, my palette is not tolerant of the flavor today." Aside from that, the bread was quite good. Perhaps Reyna would feed it to the birds later so that Nami didn't know it had gone to waste. They tried not to waste anything, their resources had always been limited and every ounce of food was precious.

Reyna sniffed herself, "I guess after a week long nap we need to bathe?" Reyna stood slowly and helped Corona to her feet, the two supporting one another on their trek to the bathroom. Once they reached it, Reyna started the water. There were no clothes to worry about since they were already nude. "I'm not worried," Reyna assured Corona, although she wouldn't mind if the pressing heat was dealt with. If Corona wanted to do other things it was fine, or maybe she had done this on purpose to make Reyna beg for it? Reyna was not going to, she was good at keeping things inside. "It's so nice," Reyna sank lower into the water, there were bubbles foaming at the top, the scent of lavender heavy in the air.

"I don't know what I would have done without you," Reyna admitted. It would have been awfully lonely, here on the island without her best friend. "Without you, I probably would have lost myself." Was Reyna getting all sappy again? Perhaps, but these were things that needed to be vocalized, or at least Reyna thought so.

Corona was feeling a tiny bit better but her nausea was getting worse even if the water did magically help her headache by some small amount. Reyna too, was noticing the effects and she was feeling better as well. Sadly for Corona, after their play was over, Reyna didn't seem particularly bothered or in heat at all. Was what she was doing having no effect? It was working last night, so what could be the problem? She shook her head in confusion, not understanding. But she did take more water, which helped make her feel better. "We really should have tried drinking sooner." She noted with a sour expression. "Well, maybe not... I wasn't sure I could handle it sooner." She tapped her belly as if to try and make it not explode in green.

Both girls sank into the nice warm bath after a good mutual struggle to get there in the first place. The lights were kept off, of course, and to make matters even better, they let the water run slowly so that it wouldn't be loud coming out of the tap. It was still a marvel how advanced the plumbing and heating systems had gotten, you could hardly call this the Victorian Age anymore. Corona grinned, she must have taught Allison well after all, huh? She didn't remember it being this sophisticated before! "Ah, this feels like Heaven!" She exclaimed softly, letting the heat blanket her all over. Corona felt as if her whole body was melting in the most pleasant of ways, this was truly amazing.

"That's how I feel too." Corona added when Reyna finished her piece. No, Coro didn't find it to be cheesy or sappy at all. It was simply how they felt from the heart, what was so bad about that? Ogygia without Reyna, it was unbearable to think about. "That day, when we were both kidnapped... I wouldn't have wanted to be safe on the island without you. I'm happy I was taken too." It was a weird emotion, for sure. Maybe alone Reyna could have gotten away safely... but Corona didn't want to risk the chance that Reyna wouldn't be able to at all. She blushed then for some strange reason. "...Do we have any wooden boxes?"

Yes, fine, she had no choice but to admit it, really. Corona felt the best when sleeping in a box. Unless it was a bed with Reyna, a box was the best bet for her. The only explanation was that it was Coral's integration into her soul that did it, that idiot and naive mermaid that didn't know how to attack the ones who were the real enemy the whole time. And then her head started spinning and Corona's eyes fluttered, she was in the hot water for too long now but she had no will to get out, either.

"A box?" Reyna taped her chin thoughtfully, "no, I don't think we have any of those." She shook her head, "but I'm sure we can ask around and see?" Wood that came from the ocean and was stripped off the boats was normally salvaged to make repairs around the house. Things had improved a lot in the past four months with Ally as the head engineer, she had a lot of ideas that she implemented to update their home and island. "One of the girls could always build you one too. They had been in the bath for a long time, Reyna figured that it was about time to get out. "Want to cuddle again?" She suggested, hoping that Corona would build up the nerve to take care of the heat.

Corona was thinking about something, but she had no idea how she would ever get to the point of ever mentioning it. They were mermaids now, not humans, so marriage - well - okay, she was blushing just thinking about it which was probably not good if she wanted to try to be secretive. "Um, well, I guess it doesn't matter, boxes are probably weird anyways." If her plan went well, she wasn't going to need to sleep in a box for comfort anyways, right? In any case, the dizziness was overhwhelming so thankfully Reyna decided it was time to get out as well. "Let's go back to bed." She declared and hobbled out of the bath. Back in the room, there were two glasses of ice water waiting. "I - um..." Corona was fidgeting, but she was too cowardly to just go out and be honest. "I didn't look, okay?" She exclaimed, louder than she needed to, and it intensified her headache quite a bit.

Reyna didn't exactly understand what boxes Corona was talking about, or they they were weird, but she figured it was one of those things she wasn't supposed to know. The mermaid shook her head and wrapped her torso in a towel before heading back into the main room, where two cups of fresh ice water were dripping with condensation. Reyna took af few sips of her's, the cold water feeling good after such a hot bath and sitting in there for so long. "Didn't look?" Reyna inquired, 'So you didn't like what you saw?" She felt daring as she allowed her towel to drop and stepped over it, baring her assets for Corona to see. The bodacious chest and supple curves that had driven plenty of men on land wild with desire. Would it have the same effect on Corona?

Her face went even redder than before when Reyna bared everything, every curve, every slope, every hill, all there for her to see. "U-it it wasn't that I didn't..." The girl was turning into a puddle of hormones, it was just embarrassing! Why was Reyna taunting her like this! She couldn't just - and then Corona realized that this was her chance to turn the tables. "Aren't you just asking for punishment?" The girl dropped her towel and then pounced Reyna, her hands pressing against the soft mounds that Reyna posessed. And then sense snapped back into her head and she held up a finger first. "O-okay, wait, before we... I want to make sure of... of something." Corona looked almost as if she were going to cry. "I know m-ma... we're girls, we can't... and we're not even human... but a mermaid version of... of binding our souls together, do you think.." Corona shut her eyes, unable to speak anymore, too scared and shaking, just thinking of the idea that Reyna would say no.

Reyna hadn't expected Corona to respond so quickly. At first, she blushed and squirmed exactly how Reyna expected, but then pounced, leaping like a lioness to claim her dinner. Reyna was pushed back on the bed as Corona grabbed and kneaded Reyna's chest. Reyna let slip a soft moan, the heat building up below once more. Corona suddenly stopped and sat up, still straddling Reyna's middle. "What is it?" Reyna asked, propping herself up on her elbows. Corona's question made Reyna blush. "Do you mean... marriage?" She inquired, hardly able to get the word out. Marriage? but they had just started-well-technically they had been on the same island, closely interacting, for over a hundred years. Was Corona asking Reyna to marry her? Reyna wasn't sure, this was all so strange. Could girls get married? Could mermaids get married? Reyna's heart beat faster in her chest, but as she spoke her answer, she knew it was the right one. "Yes."
