Carul-Ei Runeliulus is loyal to any he deems trustworthy and superior, but not to the point where he will do all he is told without question. He is untrusting of strangers, and is unlikely to do favors or errands for those he does not know. He is a battlemage, specializing in heavy metal armors and axes. He is proficient in most all spellcraft, but cannot cast any lightning based spells for unknown reasons. He believes in the eight divines, but does not worship them very devoutly. He prefers traditional steel armor, but will wear different armors if the need arises. He does not wear a helmet, but instead has a green cowl that hinders ice spells used against him. He has a fascination with the Dwemer and will take with him most any dwarven artifact he can feasibly transport. Carul-Ei travels to see sights, to collect interesting items, and to one day learn more of his father. He grew up in The Imperial City, his mother, Reekala Cayleesh, an Argonian and his father, Kaesius Runeliulus, an Imperial. Kaesius was an explorer trying to uncover ancient mysteries and uproot lost oddities. He provided for his family immensely with his findings, what he didn't sell to various merchants and collectors, he took home as trophies. 27 years into his exploring careeer, and 11 years into his son's life, he died at the hands of a Dwarven Centurion, armed with a spear and sickle. This same centurion was slain 17 seconds later by a member of the exploration team Kaesius was a member of. Luckily, Kaesius' exploits provided his family with enough fortune to live comfortably for the rest of their lives, but Carul-Ei wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and become an adventurer. He decided he would serve as an Imperial battlemage for a few years, hone his skills, gain experience, and after 4 years of service, retired, bid his dear mother adieu, and went off to wander.
