Personality: Franklin Milner has 4 main traits. These are: being laid-back, being philosophical, being good, and (most noticeably) being a bit perverted.
Franklin Milner's laid-back attitude is one of the more noticeable traits of his personality. Indeed, he can be so laid-back that he is often mistaken for being lazy, or unobservant, which may not endear him to people who only know this side of him. However, as he is a skilled martial artist, he recognizes the value of hard work. A great way to describe this aspect of his personality would be to say he is a hard worker, but does not see the value in showing everyone he works hard, or adding needles work or stress upon himself.
Even people who know Franklin well are not sure if being laid-back gives him time to be philosophical or if he is laid-back because of his philosophical nature. When he walks, he tends to think about the nature of things, and before sleep he reads at least 15 minutes of philosophical writings. Occasionally he will talk about (or at least attempt to talk about) philosophy with anyone , from best friends to strangers on the street. His own philosophy is a mixture between existentialism (which advocates for choosing your own purpose in life) and utilitarianism (which advocates for the greatest good for the greatest number of people). Essentially, he believes that people should find a purpose in their lives that help others.
Again, it is unknown whether Franklin's philosophy inspires him to help others or if his essentially good nature lead him to the question of what is right in this world. Regardless, Franklin is a good person, and his just nature helps to inspire others around him to do good. Of all the virtues he displays, benevolence is the one he is most known for. He has helped many people in his community, especially the poor, who have rewarded his kindness with their loyalty.
Even though Franklin is by far a great man, he does have a flaw. He is very... attracted to attractive young women, almost comically so. While he has some scruples (No making a girl feel very unsafe, no ogling a girl who seems like she is in a relationship (although this scruple may be one more based on self-preservation rather than a moral idea), and no bothering a girl who has made it clear she is not interested in him, among others), he is by and large the biggest skirt-chaser in his community. While Franklin maintains that what he does is harmless and in fact healthy, it is one of the odder quirks of his personality.

Fears/Phobia(s): Franklin's main fear is being powerless, and it is from which all of his more specific fears (prison, death, and anger (which is often caused due to someone involved feeling powerless)) originates.

Personal History: As Franklin's life has been shaped dramatically by the use of magic, it would be appropriate to begin Franklin's story with the first time he used his magical abilities. At the age of 6 he conjured up a sword while playing a game with his friends. While all of the kids were overjoyed and impressed with their friend, when Franklin's mother noticed she immediately recognized what a danger Franklin's power was. Fortunately for Franklin, the children's stories were not believed by their respective parents, and Franklin's mother and father were able to explain the importance of keeping his powers hidden in terms the young boy would understand. Realizing that Franklin would need to learn how to defend himself eventually, they enrolled him in a martial arts school, a hobby Franklin found he enjoyed greatly.
When the fateful government crackdown of 2040 came, Franklin's parents were killed in the chaos and Franklin himself barely escaped with his life. Left an orphan, Franklin became a slum drifter for a while (the slum was the only area available to him where he was safe from the government's prying eyes) before eventually being taken in by a kindly poor couple. Despite the harsh realities of life in the slum, the couple found it in their hearts to accept a child at moderate personal risk to themselves, a decision that would further expand Franklin's good nature. While in the couple's care Franklin continued to improve himself, physically (through martial arts), mentally (through reading), and spiritually (through doing good).
At the age of 18, with the assistance of the couple, Franklin opened a low-cost martial-arts academy. Even today he continues to run, having earned the respect and loyalty of his students (yes even the female ones).
