Daniel Veltrez's Story

Eva shook her hea when he asked what the general direction was. "Straight." The guy had finally finished stretchin and Eva was getting excited to run like crazy. The bag was going slow her down, but she was determined to win. He counted down and when the word escaped her lips she took off into the woods clutching onto her bag. She was dodging sticks and trees and she could see where he was. He was ahead of her yet she was keepig pace. She blames it on the bag. She was having way too much fun. She forgot that she was even racing. She picked up the pace and started lauging. She had no odea where she was or where she was going, but she was going to pass Daniel. She wasn't tired yet which means she could possibly be in the lead. As she was runnig her memory of the dream came flodding back. She slowed down a bit, but not dramatically. It was a bad time for it to show up. She tried her best not to think to hard about it or she would actually hit something.

He was running and enjoying the fact that they were running, he hit a couple of branches and got some scrapes and bruises. Nothing to serious though, but the couple of scrapes and bruises were not going to stop him from winning this stamina race. His jacket was zipped up to avoid it getting stuck on a branch and him getting hurt, but his eyes were taken off of the tree that was in front of him. He slammed into the tree and fell onto the ground losing his balance. He was bleeding from his hand, but he quickly got up. His leg was bruised and his hand was bleeding, but he was still going to run. He wasn't about to ruin this race just to stop because he had minor wounds or so he thought that they were minor. He tried ignoring the pain as he ran, but it was visible that he was in pain due to his sloppy running compared to his earlier running. He was slowing down and kept on trying to force his body to run faster, but his body wasn't made to withstand this much abuse. Eventually he fell on the ground and couldn't stand up due to weakness. He finally gave in to the pain that was in his body and stopped trying to get up. "I think I'm going to stay here for a bit, you can go ahead without me. " He didn't want the girl to have to carry him and he hated being a nuisance to people. His notebook with the drawing of a dragon was laid on the floor, but he didn't feel like picking it up due to more pressing matters. He wrapped something over his wound, so the blood wouldn't freely flow and cause him to go unconscious. He looked for the girl hoping she had left him and went to finish the race.

"Heh, yes it was. Sorry for making us stop, but I doubt I can run at the moment. Anyways, do you have any idea where we're at? I wasn't really paying attention to where we were going. " He was a bit confused due to falling and losing his bearing, but he didn't want to be a burden to the girl. He didn't want to die either, but he knew he would just be a burden to her if she had to worry about him. "I think it would be better if you left without me I should be fine here. " He winced at the end of that sentence, but he wanted the girl to go and not worry about him and his bleeding hand. He pitifully tried standing up, but his legs were visibly weak. He started to try and run back to the school, but he would keep on falling no matter how determined he was to get back without being a burden to the girl. "I can make it back on my own, but you should go on ahead and go back to school. I've kept you occupied long enough. Thanks for getting my drawing back to me." He decided to stop and sit against a tree and remember the great times he had as a kid, of course he wasn't dying. He was just tired and decided to stop for a bit, so he wouldn't force his legs too much. He didn't want to go unconscious and have to be carried all the way back to school. He laughed remembering how playful and naive he was back then, usually having fun with Alec. His wound was healing slowly and he fell asleep, and he began having a dream. His notebook holding all his memories as a child was in the pocket of his jacket, but he wouldn't mind if someone read it. He just would be a bit worried if the person who read it would reveal his family secrets to others, but occasionally he let people read it. Only people that he trusted were allowed to read it though, like Alex and Charlotte.

Once again, Leah had gotten out of class early. All she needed for her Printmaking class was Lennox paper. She had several sheets leftover from Print I, but she would need more. Knowing how big the sheets of paper were, she decided to take her car. Taking her purse, Leah headed out of her dorm towards one of the student parking garages. Like with all universities and colleges, parking could be a pain. She hoped she'd be able to find a park space when she got back. Turning the corner, Leah accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oh I am sorry." she said, looking at the person.

Alec was about ready to leave his place when he got a text message. He saw that it was from Daniel. Actually this was the second one he got from in the past few minutes. He frowned when he said he wanted to meet up at 4 pm. That wouldn't work unfortunately.

4 pm won't work. I have another class at that time. Maybe tomorrow morning might be better at the cafe? You are always busy on first days.

It wasn't like the world was going to end if Daniel didn't get his dream back right away anyway. ((Yes that's a pun lol.))

Minerva was a bit startled by the new girl as well and just stood and watched them interact. Michael was a pleasant and than mentioned sitting down. That was a good idea, and maybe some lunch.

Looking at the lovely girl who arrived, Minerva addressed her, "Excuse me miss? Do you know any good places to eat or have heard of any?"

((Now I realize Demetra is a new student too, but maybe she's heard of the cafe. I'd actually like the chars to head there so Minerva can meet Orion there.))

"I shall follow you to the establishment, but I'm not sure if I will be able to pronounce the names of specific things that they serve." Micheal saved himself from an embarrassing moment later, since he could not pronounce a lot of the names and he would have had to ask them for assistance while feeling idiotic. He was wondering where Demetra got the map, or if it came with something he was given earlier. He would ask someone later if they knew where a map was to be located for him to have a picture of the layout of the town. Exploring was fun, but only when it was something not explored before. He walked at the same pace as the girl, observing his surroundings and making a mental map of the location of buildings and roads. For now a mental map would have to do, but he would make it a priority to get a map of his own later.

Daniel was dreaming pleasant dreams, but these dreams were interrupted by the dragon that would never let him sleep peacefully. He woke up instantly feeling a sense of deja vu, but he noticed that it was only since he had that dragon in dreams before. He was still sitting against a tree, but the blood on him dried up by the time he woke up. He grabbed his phone and noticed the time "Damn, I was asleep for some time." He decided he would check his messages, to see if anything interesting was happening. Nothing besides the fact that people are already talking about a rich couple coming into town. "Good thing they don't know that the rich couple is my parents." He stood up and started walking, but his body was still aching a bit. He slowly walked to the town, with his clothes dirty, hair ruffled, and bloodstains on him. He laughed, since he looked like if he was in a fight or something like that. Too bad it was only him being careless and hitting a tree, but he guessed it could be considered a fight against a tree. He would draw him running into the tree later and bleeding from his hand, but he would need to draw the girl as well. He decided he would ask the girl if he could draw her later, but he needed to get new art supplies before that. He remembered his current state and decided to go clean up and see how bad his wounds were. Too bad the doors to his dorm were locked and he didn't have his keys on him, so he would have to climb up the side of the building or ask the school secretary to open the door to his dorm. He checked his messages again and saw that there was one from Alec himself, so he read it as fast as he could. He thought about it and decided he would be able to clear up his schedule if organized it " That seems good, we might even get time to catch up and share the information we gathered about the new students. "
