She'd grunt atbeing knocked to the ground, glaring at serith as Lyle helpedherup, pulling away as she held out her hand as the scythe appeared back in her grasp. "Well I don't have time for selfish peole like YOU who destory everything for the fun of it!" she growled back at him, her grip tightned on her scythe as she glanced at Lyle. "We may have fought along side each other but I came here for the King" she stated, getting in her stance to attack. "I'll fight on his side rather on my own kinds, what good has other shadow elementalist done for me anyway?" she spat, her eyes narrowing at them.

Jt was able to move out from the blade just enough to where it wouldn't cause too much of injury. He looked to Tranquil and held his blade in hand. He listened to Serith and Lyle and slowly moved closer to her. He leaned towards her and whispered in her ear, to where just she could hear. "You better be lucky that Lyle just saved your life. Next time i see you, you're dead..." He sent his fist towards Tranquil's chest. He was aiming to knock her away. If his fist hit, there would be enough force that would force Tranquil backwards, and out of breath.

Her eyes narrowed at his words, just barely moving out of the way to where hit her already sore ribs, causing her to slide back as she tightly held her side. She grit her teeth as she glared at the male, a tight hold on her scythe. "I'm not scared of you," she hissed, "It won't be me dead next time if you continue to bother me. All I want is this king, then we can simply move on" she managed to finish calmly, eyeing everyone in the room.

At Tranquil's words Serith couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, Tranquil! Do you really think you could lay a scratch on me? You're merely a rogue. I only feed off your anger anyhow. If you want the king so badly then by all means, just take the fool. " Serith then stepped a side with a hand motion towards the king clearing out of Tranquil's path towards him. By now everyone fighting had paused uncertain of Serith's next move. Truly he had left them all puzzled. Serith glared at Tranquil with a cold smile. The kings eyes were narrowed on Serith as he tried grumbling words through the piece of cloth in his mouth. However, the knights were not so pleased in allowing the king to leave with Tranquil, no one trusted her nor the other foreign intruders in this room. It was becoming difficult to figure out Serith's real intentions here. In fact, he had no plan in killing the king at all, he wanted the king alive and well to watch the destruction of his palace. However, Serith was starting become quite impatient with how slow things were going. He no longer found amusement in fighting the knights with his sword, he felt all their anger and hatred pulse through him. His power was flourishing with strength and evil which was a beautiful thing before he delivered the final blow to this castle with his head elementalists.

She eyed him, her grasp never loosening as the path cleared before her. Her eyes narrowed as she walked towards the king, never letting her guard down as she removed the gag from his mouth, facing serith. "As for your comment earlier, it may be true that I can't touch you now but one day I will kill you." She said politely, she even managed a small smile. "It's kind of a personal goal now."

JT looked to Serith not really expecting what he just did, but Hell it was Serith, he does stuff like this. JT stood there applying pressure on his shoulder, stopping the bleeding. He knew Serith was growing angry and impatient. JT looked to his Tribe Leader and then spoke "We should destroy the castle now. We have accomplished our mission." Jacob held his blade up towards the Knights "Either drop your weapons now and run, or die." Jacob ordered. He then changed his mind, stabbing his blade into the ground and waved his hand, as the shadows in the room began to move, swirling around the knights. "In fact, just die." Jacob then pulled his hand towards his chest. As he done so, the shadows engulfed the knights, screams could be heard from the knights as the were being engulfed, and then quiet as the shadows returned to their former spot. The only thing left from the knights were the swords that they carried. JT looked to Serith, knowing that Serith probably didn't expect JT to have gained so much power since he left to go under cover.

Before she could stop it, the damage was done. Now her head swam for new idea, they weren't going to kill the king, which was good on her part, but how was she going to stop them from doing even more damage to this city? She couldn't handle them all on her own? Especially since by the looks of it, most of them were already dead! She managed to hold in her growl of frustration as the king sputtered nonsense at seeing his knights killed so easily. Her eyes narrowed at all of them, for now she would just have to stall for as long as she can until she thought of something to help her situation. But for now, she simply asked him the question that nagged her from the moment she saw the city, "Why, dear Serith, are you so set on destroying this city? What made you think you had the right to kill so many people?" she asked boldly, who knows, might as well have some fun and piss him off along the way, she thought.

Eiryn heaved a breath at the outskirts of the town where she found herself yet again. Quickly dismounting she doubled over beside Rayko as a cough rattled through her body. She was weak with exhaustion and for a moment she had difficulty recalling exactly what had happened.

So upturned she was, her memories and emotions a scramble...she had fought as long as she could in the city, but then instinct had taken over, and she had forced herself to flee. Faithful to her whistle Rayko had come for her, thankful for it she was as a gut wrenching feeling told the girl she had escaped only moments short of her own demise.

You...have...failed.

The words ripped through her soul, sending another fit of coughs tearing through her. "Damn it...damn it all!" She screamed, falling to her knees, driving her fists into the soft soil beneath her. Eiryn knew that she had nothing...she never had, and she never would. She was a soul without a purpose and yet... "And yet I ran like a sorry coward." She spat the words. Her eyes turned up towards Rayko and she knew it was time to let go. Time to free her soul unto a better world.

It was then that she heard the scream.

The horrific scream of a child sent chills to her core. Before she could even fully process it, Eiryn was already upon her feet, moving hastily towards the sound. There, up ahead lay a tiny house, burned and broken now...and outside knelt a small boy, staring down horrifically at two crumpled bodies before him. A girl a bit older stood behind him, her eyes stained with tears and loud sobs ripping from her lips. Eiryn's heart broke in a moment.

Her stomach turned as she recalled the night she had lost her own parents...she had felt so alone...even if she had caused the flame by her own hand. It was a sort of hollow she had never filled. In an instant she was beside the girl, wrapping her arms around her gently.

These...bloodstained hands...holding a child? The small girl buried her head into the other, staining Eiryn's chest with warm tears. Slowly reaching towards the boy, Eiryn lightly gripped his shoulder. With sad eyes he turned...his young face wearing a strong look of determination and will. His tiny hands curled into fists, and he gazed up at Eiryn...pushing all tears aside. "Please, lady...help us." It was in that moment that Eiryn realized why she had been directed to this wicked place. Squeezing the girl tight with one arm, she reached with the other to gently wipe away a smudge of suet from the boy's cheek.

"You'll be safe now..." Her eyes fell a moment to the other figures. "But its okay to cry." She whispered to him, holding his sister dear, as a whole new case of the girl's sobs erupted into her chest. With that the young boy nodded, and a single tear rolled down his cheek. Then she took his hand and lead him away.

These children were her true chance of redemption. They would give her a reason to live now...a reason to fight and survive. No matter what this war brought about she would protect them, and it would be doing so that Eiryn would dedicate the rest of her willpower too. For no better purpose would she gain in life. And so taking them by the hands she brought them away...never again would any of them look back. No matter what happened, she would teach them to always move forward. Always overcome.

Lyle watched the rogue carefully but made no move to interfere this time as with JT near her she made a signal that they should get the king out of here while they culd before other Elementalists and humans would begin to attack the city perhaps. Drawing her cloak hood over her head and turning her face downward just a tad, she walked over to the bounded king and jerked him to the side. Glancing at Serith for a moment wondering what was on his mind to do abou Tranquil.

Knowing that even though Tranquil considered her no friend, Lyle still had a hard time leaving her to be finished off by Serith if he chose so. Not an insult to her abilities simply the known fact that Serith was more powerful. When she turned her head for a moment a glance of a human behind the curtain who had just jumped off onto the roof of the castle from the window made her sigh. Making no attempt to pursue she then looked again at the others. "We need to get moving."

JT watched Tranquil closely. He ripped a piece of cloth off of his shirt and tied it around his shoulder to stop the bleeding and to cover it for now. Jt decided that he would be fine until it was safe to take care of properly. He wasn't sure what was going to happen now, that Serith was staring Tranquil down. He slowly stepped back, not out of fear, but to be able to make a quick escape incase the enemies attacked the castle while they were still in it. "Serith, i know of the main weak point to bring this whole place down. Get out of here and i'll make sure this place falls." JT spoke in a strong, yet gentle voice.

She stood tall as she stared down Serith, surprisingly, she wasn't scared. Just really annoyed. For a moment, she had no idea what to do, she save Lyle take the king but at the moment she didn't care. Suddenly, a plan flashed in her mind and she used every muscle in her body to keep her from smiling or smirking. As soon as she thought it up, she put it into action, her eyes becoming dull and dead looking as she continued to stare Serith down. 'Onyxxx, Here boy... I need a favor...' She thought about her plan thoroughly, it flashing through her mind as a single 'Meow..' echoed in the depths of her brain. As soon as she heard it, she lunged.... towards Lyle and the King, hoping her sudden movement would take Lyle off guard just for a second. A second was all she needed so she could snatch the king and fling herself out of the window. 'I guess it's worth a shot, I've gotten this far taking a chance, why not take another one? she thought, her speed picking up drastically as she shot towards Lyle and the king.

It wasn't until the last moment that Lyle noticed the swift movement of Tranquil - had only drawn her sword as the other girl seemed to snatch the king and make an attempt towards the window which led to a steep roof. With a glance at the others, it was a second later when the noise came. JT who was moving towards another position when this sequence happened probably heard it sooner, Lyle wasn't sure as the whir of something coming closer to the castle whined. Forgetting about handling the king who had been kidnapped form them as well and of whom she was thankful was unconscious through all this, Lyle sprung backward towards another window. "I Suggest we get going!" Her voice yelled over the sound.

She almost laughed out loud as she flung herself outside the window and managed to get on the room to see swarms of people running into the castle. She grinned slightly, knowing how fast Onyx worked, most of them were already in the castle and might even make it to the room in the next few minutes. She looked down at the unconscious king and hoisted him up on her back, she should get far enough. When the king wakes, she decided she was going to have a very LONG conversation about what to do next, but for now, she just let him rest as she ran and jumped from roof to roof with ease. 'Good Boy Onyx! Meet up at our halfway point then we'll figure out what to do next' She thought to her companion as she continued to run, picking up her speed.
