Description

The Triad of Phi Buvvoti

Image

The Village "Phi Buvvoti" lies in the far north of Scotland at a small stream (Zplion), surrounded by a large magical forest (Folx Reefz), far away from both muggle and wizarding civilization. It is always filled with a very peaceful atmosphere which is only interrupted by the soft murmurs of the Serpentes performing one of their many rituals or the clear sound of steel on steel from the sword fights of training Warriors. At the entrance of the village there is an old bridge leading over the stream which also is the only way to access the village and only when you are included in the ancient wards that surround it.

Phi Buvvoti is the home of sixteen magical families, mostly purebloods, as they rarely marry outside their village. Should this occur, these "Strangers" have to take the Oath of Secrecy in front of the Triad, like all members do when they turn 15, the age of consent in the Phi Buvvoti. Three of the ancient families are part of the so-called Serpentes, the healers and leaders of the rituals in Phi Buvvoti. From an early age on, their children get educated in the history of their village and the magical society at large. They learn how to conduct rituals and practice various healing spells. They are also educated in science and all subjects covered at school should they not be send to Hogwarts. Their symbol is a snake, which has always been known for its wisdom and connection to healing. The three heads of these families also work as the advisors of the King and as such hold some of the highest positions in the village. The Serpentes wear long grey robes; white robes when they perform a ritual.

ImageTwelve of the families belong to the so-called Warriors which also explains what their position in the village is. They are trained in magical and physical combat, but they also learn to hunt, ride and take care of the creatures that live in the forest. The children are taught to fight with swords and shields, bow and arrow and axes in case the village should be attacked. They study the magical creatures of the forest and learn to live and lead them with the knowledge that has been passed on since centuries. They were trained to fight in the shadows, aiming to kill subtly and silent instead of causing destruction. The normal wear for Warriors are dark and made of leather, to protect them during a fight, but leave them mobile enough to react quickly. If they would have to participate in a war, they would were an armor. The first-born of each of the twelve families receives a special training to become an assassin. They are called the Shadow's Twelve and are responsible of protecting and guarding the village from danger. The main purpose of the Shadow's Twelve is to make sure that the balance between Light and Darkness in the wizarding world remains intact and so they are often sent out by their King to support either side when the other gains the upper hand. Their symbol is the Hellhound.

The last family is also the leading family in Phi Buvvoti. Currently, there are two brothers and one sister, called the Triad. The oldest brother is the King of the village, very strict, but just in his actions. He aims to keep his people safe and make sure that the balance between good and evil remains intact. He rarely participates in battles, rather remaining behind with those members of his village that are too young, old or ill to fight. His symbol is the Dragon and he stands for the black part of the Triad's Unity symbol. In the few instances, that he does fight, he wears an armor that always keeps his face covered and in the darkness. The King is the one who decided whether the Warriors will fight or not.

The second brother is called the "Shadow" and he is the leader of the Warriors, especially the Shadow's Twelve. He supervises the training the children and adult warriors go through and guides them through battles, always fighting right at the front. Unlike his brother who is calm and very thoughtful, which is important in a King, Shadow is very fierce and brave and quite loyal to those that fight alongside him. Like his Warriors, his symbol is the Hellhound and he stands for the red part of the Triad's Union symbol. As the second brother, he has to follow the King's lead, but they usually discuss everything with their Advisors.

The youngest subling of the Triad, is the young woman who leads the Healers and Advisors. Like them, she carries a long robe which covers her body and she is the one to lead the rituals in Phi Buvvoti. Her opinion is very highly valued by her brothers and unlike them, she shows her kindness openly, though, she too has been trained in combat fighting techniques, just like them. She is called the White Lady and she stands for the white part of the Triad's Unity Symbol, her animal being the snake.

All members of Phi Buvvoti carry an amulet with the Triad's Symbol.
