History:

When Adara was born, she was stolen away by a nearby kingdom. Her kidnapper knew he could use her powers or sell her for money later, but when Qunrith invaded the kingdom, her captor was killed, freeing Adara. She wondered the streets before the king of Qunrith found her, and took pity on her. He took her back to his castle and soon adopted her. She was named Adara and grew up as the only heir to the throne. Adara was celebrated, the king had never married and the kingdom feared that there would be no king or queen when he died. Everyone was shocked when the heir didn't grow up to be cold and harsh like the king himself.

Adara grew up raised by a troupe of servants, rarely having anything to play with. She had to study all the time to understand the government in case the king died at any moment. Adara never really got to be a kid, and was mature at a young age. She took no joy in studies, but loved to ride horses and go to the forest. She also loved taking care of animals there, and would often just spend hours after sneaking out at night. As she grew, she did it less often as the studies arose.

Once Adara turned 17, most of her studies included looking good, getting dressed in corsets and ordering a court. Adara liked these studies even worse, if possible. When she waked up, her heart would just sink at the thought of studying. She would zone out, thinking about how ungrateful she was acting. She actually was getting an education, something that only royalty got to have.

Her father forced an arranged marriage to happen when she was 18, and she was miserable. After only three months of horrible marriage, he died by being run over by a horse. Adara was almost glad, he beat her many times. It only made her love horses even more.

Evanescence/My Immortal
I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

[Chorus:]
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me

You used to captivate me by your resonating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face – it haunts my once pleasant dreams
Your voice – it chased away all the sanity in me

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

[Chorus]

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
I've been alone all along

[Chorus]

...me, me, me.

Adara stared out the stone window at the clear night sky. Crickets chirped loudly as Adara set her feet down on the floor. She smoothed out the covers on her bed and opened her dresser. She randomly picked three dresses and quickly changed out of her nightgown into a deep maroon colored one. She looked at all her tiras and reached out to touch one, but then jerked her hand back as if they had a disease. Adara hardened her facial expression and silently crept down the staircase and went outside.

Adara smiled at her horse, Gavotte. She petted the top of his head and picked up a satchel she had prepared the night before. She mounted her horse and gave him a small tug on his reins, then pushed them forward. Adara could feel the wind rushing through her hair as Gavotte ran through the forest, barely dodging trees. This was going to be amazing. She had been thinking in bed all night, wondering if she should leave, but now it was clear. She didn't want another arranged marriage or more schooling. She didn't want to be queen once her father died! Couldn't anyone understand that?

Adara leaned forward as the horse gained momentum. Gavotte suddenly reared up and whined. "Hey!" She whispered, the soft words escaped her mouth. She climbed off the horse and got next to him. "What's wrong boy?" The horse whinnied again. Adara looked behind her. There was a small campfire. "Oh, don't worry, it's fine! Just a little fire!" The horse ran off. "HEY!" Adara rushed after him, the satchel banging against her thigh. "Come back!" She called as she slowed to a stop while Gavotte ran out of sight. Adara's shoulders sagged. She sulked and sat by the fire, holding her hands over it. She was chilly, the wind was like a slap across the face. It was cold and harsh. Suddenly, the fire blew out. Adara frowned.

Adara laid on the ground. Suddenly, the harsh wind turned into a warm, gentle breeze. Adara closed her eyes as she relaxed herself. If she had opened her eyes, she would have seen that the wind had swarmed around her like a butterfly in a cocoon. YOu could see the wind, intertwining to make a gentle blanket for her. Adara drifted off into a dreamless sleep, still unaware of what was going on.

Giotto Jingshi

Fire flickered everywhere, as Giotto looked around wildly. Screams of unknown people, he could almost identify them. Swords clanging loudly against each other, as the sparks of flames lit up the night. "No...No!" Giotto heard himself yell out looking around wildly. "Is anyone there?!" He all but cried out. Then he felt himself disappear.

Giotto got up with a start, breathing heavily. He looked around wildly, expecting to see burnt up ruins of his old village...only to see himself in a room, on a bed. He let out a sigh of relief, as he ran a hand through his blond hair. The blanket that was around him bunched up around his waist. That dream always haunted him, even to this day despite being years ago. "Gio? Are you up there? He heard the doctors voice called. "Yes doc, i'm up! He called back down, standing up. He grabbed on a white shirt, slipping it on quickly before going downstairs.

The said doctor was downstairs, running around busily, making medicine, sorting herbs and other task. It amazed him everyday that the doctor could seem to be everywhere at once. The doctor quickly informed of a low stock of herbs, telling him to get more from the forest. He offered a nod in return, walking out the door but not before grabbing his sword and strapping it to his waist. Never could be careful. As soon as he walked out, he felt the arms around his legs. He looked down and smiled to see teh kids he usually played with. "Gio! Let'splay again!" A little girl of 10 said. Others were nodding wildly. Giotto smiled again, then said "Very well, let's go to the forest first. I need to get some things. The kids followed him, walking behind him or on the side of him. Some even ran in front of him.

As tehy reached teh forest, Giotto stopped and said to the kids "Okay, play around here so I can watch you." Said kids nodded quickly and began a play of tag. He smiled, watching before bending down, picking herb leaves quickly. Until he heard galloping coming their way. He shot up quickly, seeing the animal that caused his noise. A horse that came charging down. He spotted reins, but no owner? Was this a run-away. "Everyone! Get to the side!" He yelled, his small group of children obeyed quickly, running out of the way of the horse. The horse showed no signs of stopping.

Giotto grabbed the reins of the horse quickly, before jumping on top. The horse reared back, before letting out a snort and shking its head. Giotto let out a sigh of relief, and let go of the reins. He wiped his brow before going off, pulling the horse by the reins. The kids came out and started to ask for rides. Giotto put some of them on the horses back as he walked where the horse had charged out from. It's owner must be around here...

Adara twisted and turned, slowly falling into a dream. The air grew around her and she slowly hovered around the ground by a few inches, then by about a foot. Adara hair blew everywhere as the air around her increased, but only around her. Of course, some of the air blew the leaves of nearby trees. Her sacthel fell to the ground, making a loud clap. Adara's eyes shot open, and she fell to the ground. "OOF!" She yelped.

Adara looked at herself. "What the-" She heard a whinny. "Gavotte!" She exclaimed. She crept through the forest, then saw other villagers, mostly children. They were eagerly petting the horse and gawking at it. Adara almost grabbed the reins, but then remembered how easily she was to recognize. If someone saw her late at night, it would be bad. She just stood there before one of the kids looked her way. She ducked behind a tree, making some noise. Adara hoped they hadn't seen her.

Giotto sighed, as he held the reins, tightly in his hands. He couldn't seem to find anything here. The children were busy squeling with delight around the horse. He could only smile at them, as they touched the horse with their small petite hands. Giotto was in a hurry to find whoever owned this horse. It seemed very strong, and well cared for. Whoever lost his horse might be in despair over it. Horses were troublesome to take care of after all. He covered his face as he felt wind blowing strongly for a second. "Such strange wind..." He murmered quietly to himself. Hopefully a storm wasn't brewing.

One of the kids pulled Gio's pants to get his attention. He looked down, his amber eyes meeting green eyes. He smiled and picked the boy up. He was pointing to behind some trees. The boy was scared obviously. Giotto put him back on the horse, before saying "You kids, stay here, alright?" The man smiled at the kids, and they all nodded. They knew to listen to him, or else they wouldn't be able to play with Giotto. They always had to listen to him when he gave directions. That was his only rule for their play time.

He walked quietly, and closed his eyes to listen around him. He could hear leaves rustling, the wind blowing, insects chirping...but also breathing. Being on teh road most of his life allowed him to become very sharp with his senses. He drew his sword silently, and slowly so it would not make any noise. The man stepped quietly, until he could reach the tree where he heard the breathing from. Quickly, his hand moved fast and he was in front of her with his sword point to her neck. His warm orange eyes instantly changed into a cold, hard amber. "If you do not mean any harm, get on your knees now. Any other movement shall make me believe you mean harm." He said simply, his voice cold. Anyone wandering at this time was bound to be suspicious.

Abara yelped. Her hair fell out of her face, revealing her familiar face. "Please don't hurt me!" She whispered, getting on her knees. "Please," She repeated. Gavotte trotted away from the group of kids and came up beside Adara. He whined happily and stuck his head in her satchel. "Gavotte, get your head out of my bag please," She whispered, turning her head slightly. The horse snorted and grabbed an apple that was bruised and battered. "That's my food!" She called after him as he galloped away with the apple.

Giotto blinked as he watchedthe girl yelp, and follow his instruction. He sheathed his sword, watching the girl carefully. He watched the horse pull that stunt, and made the connection. So, this girl was the horse's owner? Strange, since he expected it be a man. Gitto looked at her face again, before realizing who this was. the princess girl of this kingdom. What was she doing out this late? Was she even aloud? He silently mulled over this twist. Had he just committed treason?...Though...why was a young girl like this on her way out at this time of the day?

"On your feet, Princess. Please, allow me to apologize for my behavior." He said simply, though he watched her carefully. The kids had come toward him, looking at the princess with big round eyes. "Gio? Who's this?" They asked while some other kids were silently, standing behind the doctor's apprentice. He remained quiet, his orange colored gaze boring into her. He was aware she was a royal of this place, but didn't exactly know why it mattered. Living in small villages all the time, he didn't actually start to care about royalty until he moved here.

Adara nodded. "T-thank you," She whispered. Suddenly, he watched kids run over to them. Adara glanced at Gavotte. "Wait! Gavotte!" She ran as fast as she could, faster then most people would imagine a princess to run. She caught up to Gavotte and jumped onto the back of the horse. "HEY!" The horse reared up and stopped. Adara made him turn around and picked up her satchel. "Uh, thanks!"

One of the kids grabbed at her dress before she could ride off. Adara fell off her horse and hit the ground. "Ow!" Her nose starting to bleed, and her forehead was also cut. "Ow..." She muttered, rubbing her head. Blood spewed over her hands. She winced and pulled herself up, but then fell backwards, tripping on some slippery mud. Before she hit the ground again, a stream of her air pushed her up. She stared at the ground in surprise. What had just happened?

The doctor raised his brow in slight amusement, as a kid grabbed onto the royal's dress. He sighed as he watch her fall to the ground. He walked over, taking the horse's rein and tied it to a nearby tree to prevent the strong creature from running off once again. With that done, he turned to the kids, giving them a smile and said "Only play around here, alright?" With that said, the kids resumed there game of tag as Giotto looked back at the girl.

He swiftly opened a pouch, pulling out a herb. He ripped of a piece of his shirt, and handed it to the girl wordlessly. He wanted her to hold the cloth over her nose to keep it from bleeding. Giotto then wet the herb, using a flask of water and mashed it up into a pulp and gently spread the mixture on her forehead. The bleeding stopped instantly, and quickly as the mix was applied. He looked at her hands, running water over them to get the blood off. Once she stopped bleeding he spoke again. "I apologize once again. I did not realize who you were...but...if I may ask...why is a girl of your status here?" His voice was soft, and warm once again, comepletely the opposite of just moments before.

Adara's shoulders sank at the question. "I-I..." She stuttered. She didn't know what to say. "I-my father..." Adara didn't know what to say. Instead she rolled up her sleeve and pointed to multiple bruises on her shoulder. Some viewed her father as a gifted strategist, but he was crueler then he looked. After she protested against an arranged marriage, he had beat her. Of course, it wasn't the first time. She had been beaten so many times, but the last time was the last straw. "I wish I had never been found, I'd rather be six feet under at the age of three," She muttered.

Giotto looked at her shoulder, concern easily shown on his calm face. "I see...so I assume you are running away?" He said simply. Hehad heard rumors that the princess wasn't really the daughter of a king, but of adopted status. Though he never really paid attention to rumors, this one stuck him as odd though. From living here, he knew the king was not a nice ruler, so why would he adopt a child? It never maid sense to him. Now it did...this poor girl was beaten, most likely recently.

"Perhaps you may be taking actions too far. It's highly likely he will send people after you. The way you are going is quite the common route for traders and merchants. It would be easy to track you." Giotto said carefully. Ashe lookedat thekids who were playing before turning back to the girl.

Adara straightened up. "Say what you want, I only got this far to start out. I'm not going to look like this forever," She stood up and grabbed her satchel. "I'm fine," She added. "Thank you for your help," Adara said. She made her expression hard, just like the servants taught her to. She honestly didn't know what she was going to do. Adara felt embarrassed, she was completely clueless. She felt extremely stupid. Gavotte pushed her in the back. "Let's go," She muttered, jumping on the horse with ease.

Giotto tilted his head, as he watched the girl mount back on the horse. "Very well, please have a safe journey." He said simply, ignoring the hard look from the girl. She was just faking, he could tell. He would have offered his help, but unfortunatly the girl didn't seem to want or need it. He turned away from the girl, calling the group back to him which they allcame and went back to where he previously was. He still needed to pick herbs after all.

The kids began to play once again, as he picked the herbs carefully, making sure not to damage any. The blond knew he shouldn't think about the princess but couldn't help too. That girl obviously had no idea where she was going. Maybe he should have just pointed to the direction of the next village...though he knew it wasn't his business. With a sigh, he wiped his hand, covered in dirt on his side getting most of it out. If the girl came back and asked, he figured, he would tell her the directions.

Adara galloped off. "What am I doing?" She asked, but no one replied. "You have to accept that you're on your own," She whispered. Gavotte ran faster. Adara's hair blew all around. "Stupid wind," She muttered, shielding her face from the cold wind. THe wind suddenly stopped. "What the hell is going on!" Adara yelped. Gavotte whinnied and reared up. Adara gave him a swift kick, and he was off.

Adara stopped once her horse got tired. She rested for a moment and ate a peach. It was juicy and delicious.

"Now this is what I call entertainment."

Dell laid lazily on his stomach, residing upon the comfortable segment of earth he had conjured up for the sake of his enjoyment. He had heard of other elemental power-wielding beings, who hid their powers and used them sparingly ; he, on the other hand, used his gifts for just about anything. Whether it be to do tedious tasks, or simply for his amusement, Dell completely accepted his powers and used them as much as he could. At the moment, he was using his ability to observe the Princess - who obviously wasn't where she was supposed to be - and the Villager (who identified himself as "Gio"), as they quarreled. "Observing" people was one of the ways Dell spent his time, and he justified his spying by the fact that no matter how much juicy gossip he heard he didn't exactly have any friends to tell.

"I'm fine...Let's go."

Dell tsked, and shook his head. The Princess obviously had no idea where she was going, yet had the nerve to reject a "lowly" commoner's offer to help. Despite the fact that she was beaten by her father, and that their personalities were completely different (so said the rumors), she apparently shared one trait with him; his pride.

"I 'spose it's time that Mr.Perfect gets down their and helps," Dell smirked, "after all, it looks like they could both use a little help."

Dell stood up, brushed the dirt off of his pants, and stretched in a leisurely manner. It was time to get to work. Putting one foot far behind the other, Dell launched himself off the earthy platform, landing on a newly risen chunk of earth that he had quickly conjured up in front of him. He continued the pattern, jumping from one platform to another until he caught up to the currently peach-eating Princess.

"Hey there Princess," Dell announced as he hopped in front of her, "What're you doing here? The Castle's the other way, you know...But oh, let me guess. You're running away, aren't you?"

Giotto Jingshi

Giotto let out a breath, as he wiped his brow. Placing the last herbs in his pouch he stood up, dusting himself off. Looking around once again, the kids were still interested in their game of tag that they didn't notice as Giotto looked in the way of where the princess and her horse ran off in. The girl had not returned to ask for directions like he had hoped. Oh well, sh was on the common route. Perhaps she had met another traveler. He sighed inwardly, as he picked up his pouch. Too bad, that was one person he didn't help when she clearly needed it...though it certainly was not his fault.

"Gio!! Tim's lying!" One of the kids shouted. He turned and saw the kids gathered around one of the boys. He was twelve, slightly older then the others. "But its true!" The kid cried out, pointing in the direction where the horse had trotted away. "I saw a guy hopping on flying rocks going that way!" Giotto smiled and walked over, kneeling down. "Is that true?" He asked. Was that possible? Well...he had ability to control fire so...The kid nodded, and said "It is!I saw it!!" Giotto smiled once again, and looked in the direction of where he was pointing. It was quite an eventful day so far.

The blond walked over closer, looking in the distance. Indeed, the ground looked quite uneven. He would know, since he was here for hours. Brushing it off, he walked back to the group. "I am finished, we should head back. Before your parents get worried." They let out a groan in unison, but followed anyway. As they reached the town once again, the group went to their parents. The adults had walked over to him, thanking him while he just smiled and offered a nod in response. When all the kids went back to their houses and parents, he started heading back to the doctor's hut.

"I wouldn't call it running away. TO do that, I would have to have a chance out here. I'll call it running like hell," Adara muttered. "The king may be clueless, but he's a bastard. And bastards get their way," Adara muttered. She tugged at a necklace that she was wearing. It wasn't the typical jewel necklace, but a piece of twine with a light blue stone with black wavy strokes, like air.

She had been found with the necklace, and the servants had ripped it off her and had thrown it out the window to the pigs. That night, she snuck out and grabbed it. She always wore it, but wore it under her clothes so no one would see. TO her, it was a sign of her own rebellion. Adara ran her fingers around the tough rope. It hurt, but she was going to have to get used to pain. Like she said, she was running like hell.

Dell rolled his eyes, and let out a sigh.

"Princess, I'd say the clueless one is you," Dell remarked, "If you're going to run, then do it right. Run like hell? What's the use if you'll be caught either way?" Dell paused, and jerked his thumb back in the direction of place she had just come from. "If I were you, I would go back and take that offer."

Dell bowed dramatically, putting his left hand behind his back, and tilting his head slightly towards the ground. "Well then, I'll be taking my leave. So long, oh honorable princess."

He then proceeded to saunter lazily towards the commoner Gio's location.

Adara frowned, but then shook it off. She could still make it, it wasn't like the king would notice until awhile. She wouldn't be surprised if he wouldn't know until the servants notified him. He was too arrogant to be caught up in finding her anyway. Adara got back on her horse. "Huah!" She grunted, lurching forward. Gavotte galloped faster, and faster, picking up speed fairly fast.

Adara noticed something in the way. "How long until I stop getting distracted?" She muttered, slowing Gavotte to a stop. It was a small box. She picked it up and opened it. A blast of air hit her in the face. "Ah!" She squeaked, closing it. "What the hell was that?" She asked. She stood to the side and opened it slowly. THe wind blasted again. She put her hand in front of it, taming it. "What?" She frowned. Adara removed her hand, letting it snap branches off trees. "What the hell is going on?" She asked, taming the air once more.

Holly Knight-Walker

Holly pushed a strand of loose hair out of her eyes and scanned the village in front of her. An irritated and confused expression rested on her face as a few people passed her wordlessly, seeming to be unaware of her lost aura.

Letting a gust of air out of her lungs Holly looked down at the small map in her hands.

"This map is worthless." She muttered furrowing her eyebrows as she tried to read the small foreign looking paper. Shaking her head she glanced up at the village again, trying to match it with the picture shown on the map. "Last time I buy from a traveler." Holly grumbled pursing her lips as she crumbled up the map and quickly shoved it into her small worn out looking satchel.

"Hey umm excuse me sir!" Holly called out stopping a man with a child. "Can you please point me to the doctors hut?"

"Sure, just take a left and then go straight, you should come up onto his place after that." The man said pointing in the direction he was mentioning.

"Thanks!" Holly said watching as the man nodded before walking back on his way.

Walking towards her designated area Holly took in her surroundings excitement seeping into her chest at being in a new place. She was hoping that the this doctor she was going to see needed help or needed someone to hire.
