Taking a glimpse into Calvin Donovan's closest, you'd think you stepped into a high end boutique. His clothing is trendy and fashionable, thanks to his celebrity fashion stylist mother. He prefers fitted clothing to show off his physique, add a pair of dress boots or clean sneakers. He likes greys and natural colors the best, sticking to blues mostly, but he does keep to a neutral color palette due to his lack of understanding regarding color coordination. Being an athlete, he likes activewear and isn't ashamed to walk around in sweatpants and a tracksuit. His mother would kill him if it wasn't in style at the moment and, yes, she still dresses him. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..." for Calvin, he's a beauty in everyone's eyes. His precious dimples and a smile that can only be described as blinding, Calvin is somehow adorable and hot at the same time. His unique heritage gives his light brown coloring, and is unusual green eyes. The usual mirth in his eyes can't be contained, but an emptiness will make a brief appearance if anyone cared to look long enough. His eyes are framed by thick, black eyebrows that seem to take up half of his forehead. Calvin has black hair of the same color that he keeps tamed into a short afro. His attempt at growing sideburns isn't working, looking there's unnatural hair there. With a tall height, lean body, and large shoulder span, Calvin is built like a swimmer, because he is one. His shoulder to waist ratio is odd to look when comparing his small waist to his shoulders. While his muscles are there, they don't make an appearance unless in use. He isn't fond of piercings on himself, and would love to get a tattoo if his sport didn't prohibit it.

Everywhere he goes, Calvin ends up the mantle of class clown. He always has a joke ready for any situation, turning the most stoic into a giggling fool. He has magnetic, goofy charisma about him that demands people be around him. He makes people feel lighter around him, like whatever issue you might be having is trivial. His charm doesn't always work in his favor since many think he's 'too silly' or 'not serious enough,' his dad's words mostly but others share the same response. He prefers to keep things light, not wanting sadness to overtake anyone.

While you may be a victim of one his pranks at some point, Calvin at his core doesn't want to hurt anyone. His pranks are rarely malicious, since hates to see people cry. He helps freshman students out that he notices are having trouble or will sit with someone he doesn't know at lunch if they're sitting by themselves. He cares about other people and wishes them the best with their endeavors, unless it's a competition then his competitive streak comes out. He has a kind heart, one that has felt more pain then he would like.

He wishes this front he puts up with people was how he truly felt. He is this happy person, or once was. Now, he's struggling to maintain this lighthearted, positive glow. He wants to make others happy since it distracts him from his sown sorrow. All of his so called 'friends' are fake, wanting to use him to better themselves. The ones who should care about him either leave, don't care, or die, so he's given up on any true connections with people. Everyone is kept at an arm's length, though people seem to think they are closer to him than they really are.

Recently, his behavior has become more destructive. He no longer cares how his actions affect himself. He'll bend over backwards for something else, but wouldn't dream of doing that for himself. Calvin doesn't make himself a priority, especially when most of his life has been doing what others want him to do. He's lost and doesn't know what to do with himself. He lacks ambition since most of his talents have come easy to him without much effort. Calvin lives in the present, since the future terrifies him.

Calvin remembers a time when his father wasn't so wrapped up in his work. He was supportive and encouraging, always wanting to present in his son's life. Lately, he's become a workaholic, spending long hours at his office and rarely taking work home. The few moments he is around are spent pushing Calvin to be better, to be the best. If it wasn't for the occasional smell of alcohol on his breathe, he might take it seriously. Now, Calvin does care for his father, but he's become more of a roommate lately. His father doesn't see the cracks in his son's exterior nor does Calvin expect him to.

Also not as a present due to work affairs, Calvin's mother makes attempts to be involved in her son's life and learn about him. She also doesn't see how he's breaking so it hurts Calvin to tell her everything is okay when all he wants to do is scream. His mother has been a shaky support during these difficult times, but Calvin sees she's struggling to stay strong with what happened. He hears her crying at night when she thinks he's asleep and notices the extra men's clothes that belong to neither him or his father.

CJ was not only an amazing older brother, he was also Calvin's best friend. Where one was the other was following and they wouldn't have had it any other way. The day he died, three years ago, changed their family forever. A tragic car accident, CJ had been trying to drive through an intersection when someone ran a red light. He died after being rushed to the hospital. Calvin's world collapsed that day and he hasn't recovered from the loss. He visits his brother's grave once a week, just to talk.

Calvin and his brother had been begging for a dog since they were children. After his brother's death, Calvin's parents caved when a counselor recommended having a pet might help with the grieving process. It didn't, but Calvin was happy to have a companion when his parents weren't there. Cruz acts mostly as a exercise partner when Calvin has to work out, following him in the pool and sleeping on his lap when workouts are over. Cruz has a sense when Calvin begins to spiral, snuggling him and whining to get his attention.

H I S T O R Y
When Christian Donovan traveled to Italy to expand his business's international trade, he never expected to meet, the then, Allessandra Aquino. Their courtship lasts for about a year before he asked her to marry him on his sixth trip to Italy. The ambitious couple made a name for themselves in Miami, Florida. Allessandra became a stylist for the starts and Christian's security software was highly sought out. They started a family, first with their son Christian and then Calvin, both named after designers.

Calvin had it rough in his early years. He was so much taller than the other students and was lanky, awkward with his long limbs. It made him a target for bullying, which he kept quiet about. He tried to funny about it, but children continued laughing at him instead of with him. It wasn't until middle school where everyone started to become awkward too that he started to blossom. The past bullying was forgot as his jokes began to get genuine laughs, but in the back of his mind, he couldn't help remembering when people laughed at him.

His family were a welcome relief when school would become overwhelming. Family dinners and outings were a regular event. Calvin and his brother both took up swimming like their father. Calvin had a natural talent for it, partly thanks to his height, that his father began to nurture. He would win all kinds of awards and although he loved it, it became more for his father's approval, although he didn't need it.

Tragedy struck when Calvin was fifteen. His older brother was killed in a car accident. The driver wasn't paying attention and ran a red flight, slamming his brother's car into a big rig. Calvin had been waiting for his brother to pick him up from school when it happened. His family was devastated, Calvin mostly because he felt responsible... maybe if he had gotten a ride from someone else and didn't call his brother to come get him. His family decided to have a fresh start and moved to Orange County, California, an idea that an been in the works before.

Calvin never had much time to process and mourn what happened when he was suddenly moved across the country. His parents buried his brother at a nearby cemetery and bought a huge mansion on the west side of town. He attends Orange County High (OCH) thanks to his father's money and his mother's connections. Calvin kept his grades high enough to stay afloat and quickly got back into his role as the class clown. He found poetry to be a calming outlet, but his writings have become darker, worrisome if someone were to read it.

He began to have major depression a year after moving to California. Everything from his past, which he keeps hidden from his school, along with the pressure at OCH began to weigh down him. He never told his family or friends what was going and began to buy antidepressants from a dealer on east side of town. It helps to calm him when he begins to have an episode, but he knows he risks his future with his slowly growing addiction. He worries his habit may come to light with the adding of the San Bernardino students.
