Akilah Oriole Valentina

Image

Role: Commoner

What's Your Character's Hometown like: The town of Acci is a very small town near the center of Gai. Homes in the town look mostly like tree houses, built upon or around the gigantic trees which grow in the forests. The town of Akki is not known for much and is one of the more quiet towns in Gai where people mostly mind their own business. What Acci is known for, however, is the Valentina potions shop that belongs to Akilah now that her father, Dimitar, is dead. It sells some of the best potions in all of the Kingdom and, now that Aki is in charge, it is also the cheapest.

Age: 18

Race: Mixed Race --- Hawk Faaras (mother's side) and Alcatraz (father's side).

Description: Akilah stands at 5'7" with lightly tanned skin and a womanly frame. She is not lean and toned like some women, or shapely in a decidedly seductive way, but rather she is shaped like an average young woman who spends her day with her nose in a book while making potions. Her bosom is ample and perky, her arms average in their shape and muscle, and her waist curves in slightly to allow for shape but is by no means perfectly trim and flat. Her hips are decidedly curved, her bottom is average and perky, and her thighs are smooth and slightly fuller than most girls. Over all her frame could be considered beautiful by some, while others would pass her off as below average except for her well endowed bust.

Her hair is two toned, fading from a dark blonde at the crown of her head to a light sandy blonde color at the tips. It reaches her lower back in voluminous waves, layered and parted to the right. The most shocking part about her hair, besides the natural two tone color, is the fact that thin hawk feathers grow in long strands amongst her hair. They grow at the same pace as the rest of her hair, following it's natural waves, and can be styled in the same way one styles normal hair.

Akilah has a small heart shaped face with soft cheek bones, a rounded chin, and a gently sloped jaw line. Her lips are full and bow shaped, tinted a light pink in color, while her nose is small and turned up slightly at the end. Her brows are thin and shaped in a high arch, dark blonde in color, and bring focus to her vibrant eyes. Her eyes are wide and round in shape, framed by surprisingly long lashes that vary in length to create an intriguing look. Her eyes are amber in color, fading from gold to a red-orange around the iris which is larger than most peoples' irises.

Aki chooses to wear loose clothing that she can move in, comfortable shoes, and colors like brown, green, and tan.

Faaras Form: Red-Tailed Hawk.

Abilities:
Enhanced Sight and Hearing: Aki has the sight and hearing of a hawk. She can see things at a great distance, when focusing, with amazing detail and can also hear things which others would never be able to hear. This super sensitive hearing can be a nuisance, however, because when she is in crowds it becomes overwhelmingly loud and sometimes painful. Her enhanced sight is amazing for looking into the distance, but when viewing things up close her eyes are average. However, when she wears her glasses, it acts as a magnifier on her eyes and she is able to see things in intricate detail which allows her to make very precise measurements in her potions.

Transformation: She can transform into a hawk, but only for very short periods of time and sometimes it won't work. She needs to focus very intently on the transformation for it to work and, once she is back to her human form, she will feel completely exhausted.

Potion Maker: Akilah is an expert potions maker and is known throughout the kingdom for producing some of the most effective potions around due to her Alcatraz blood line and her hawk eye sight. She is also quite inventive, creating new potions which far surpass what others have created. One would think she would have many customers because of this, but her mixed race background does not sit well with everyone and she is often ridiculed for it.

Weapons: None.

Personality: Akilah is shy, reserved, friendly, polite, and self conscious. She is what some would call a 'door mat' because you could do whatever you like to her, say whatever you want to hurt her, and generally walk all over her and she would simply take it and likely thank you for it after. She hates to cause a scene and would never express her opinion without being asked for it. All of this aside, however, she is incredibly bright and inventive. Her intelligence spans a wide range of topics, due to her spare time being spent with her nose in a book, and people are often surprised by her intelligence when she speaks. Aki simply wants the best for everyone and would give the shirt off her back to save someone even if it meant freezing to death her self. This stems from a deep seeded idea that she is less important than everyone else and she matters very little when compared to others. Most often she looks like a shy scared girl, blushing a pleasant shade of pink, but when she is talking about potions (whether it be making them or trying to sell them) she comes alive and seems to be an entirely different girl that is vibrant, confident, and determined. Akilah is also a complete romantic and often day dreams about the boy she is in love with: Galvin Seraphim.

Bio: Akilah was born in Acci, a very small town in the Kingdom of Gai. Her parents loved each other very much, but love could not save her mother (Raeline) when the birthing process went wrong. Despite being an expert potion maker, Akilah's father (Dimitar) could do nothing to save the woman he loved with all his soul. Dimitar blamed Akilah for the death of his beloved and could never look her in the eye or treat her with any form of respect or love. In fact, all the kindness left him the day Raeline died and he became a bitter man.

Akilah grew up in the Valentina potion shop in a bedroom at the top of of the house in the attic where she used her father's books to teach herself everything she could because he would not even stand in the same room as her. If she tried to help, or offer advise, she would be lucky if she was only yelled at to leave. On more than one occasion her father struck her or threw bottles at her from across the room so that, after a while, she became mute around her father.

Being a half-breed, many ridiculed her and made fun of her as she walked the streets or went to school. No one seemed to like her or take pity on her, except for one person: Galvin Seraphim. He was a baker's son who lived down the street and had been born blind, but also born handsome. He was tall and lean with auburn hair, tanned skin, sandy brown wings, and white-blue eyes. He often stood up for her at school and visited her often in the shop, getting around by communicating with the birds who lead him either by foot or by air. The pair became close friends, but Aki developed an embarrassingly big crush on Galvin in the process.

When Aki was 16, her father had been commissioned to create a rather strong potion for a customer to be used as a sleeping drought for dragons. She happened to be in the room when her father was mixing the potion and, due to her enhanced sight, noticed that he had made a minor error in his measurements that would not only ruin the potion but make it incredibly dangerous. She tried to protest as he went to ad the final ingredient, but he would not listen. He had told the customer he would test it on himself, saying a single drop would be enough to put a man to sleep for hours and that he could, after all, use a good sleep. However, when he placed the drop on his tongue (despite Aki's pleas), it burned and blistered until it traveled down his throat and to his stomach where it boiled and smoked. Within a minute her father was dead on the floor, leaving Aki an orphan.

Akilah took over the shop, lowering the prices of everything so that everyone could afford her potions. For a while she had very few customers, but eventually word spread about how cheap and effective her potions were and she started to have an unbelievable amount of business.

Who is your fiance: To be announced.

Love Interest: Galvin Seraphim, a blind faaras (sparrow) that lives in her town.

Theme Song:

Katy Perry - Firework

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards, one blow from caving in?

Do you ever feel already buried deep?
Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing
Do you know that there's still a chance for you
'Cause there's a spark in you?

You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July

'Cause baby, you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, oh
As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go, oh
You're gonna leave 'em falling down

You don't have to feel like a waste of space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow
And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July

'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, oh
As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go, oh
You're gonna leave 'em falling down

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It's always been inside of you, you, you
And now it's time to let it through

'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, oh
As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go, oh
You're gonna leave 'em falling down

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

So begins...
