It was like a flame in the the darkness, a flare of light bright enough that all the others dimmed into almost non-existence in her mind. Alice had been blocking the smaller lights but she hadn't been on guard against something like this, and it brought her senses to forefront of her mind. She drew a sharp breath as she felt the intense prickle of energy along her skin, like a weight it pressed against her, if she reached out it would pour into her and she would feel it as the pain it was.

Alice looked up from Riley and Jeremiah, and the stuck-up new girl who had just arrived, to seek out the source among the crowd. However she barely had a chance as someone collided with her chair. The two of them ended up on the floor with the chair between them.

A snarl began to form on Alice's lips in the way of a 'watch where you're going, you bloody berk!', but it died in her mouth as she looked up at person in question. It was a young guy and for a moment he appeared apologetic before an expression, as familiar to Alice as her own face, crossed his features. It was a cringe of pain; clear in the sharp intake of breath, the tightness in his hazel-brown eyes, the set of his jaw.

This was the light on her radar. With him this close she barely needed to concentrate to focus her awareness of it, without feeling it she could tell the pain was sharp and intense, and mostly occurring in his back. Without thinking Alice ignored what she usually thought to be almost an invasion of privacy and reached out with her powers to get a better sense of not just the pain but the type of injury that could be causing it. She got a vague notion of the spread of it, of open wounds, and broken skin. Her instincts nagged at her, like a pulling in the gut, to wrap her powers around that pain and injury it a draw it to herself. For all her hard exterior it went against some basic nature of her power, of perhaps some fibre of her own being, to sit and do nothing.

Accepting the injury could be messy but then she could hold the pain in stasis. Holding the injury in stasis would mean accepting the pain; it wouldn't be the worst she'd had. And then there was the matter of consent, some people got spooked or aggressive at the sudden removal of their burdens. Still, she could take some of the pain, share it between them, he might not even notice...

She didn't have a chance to really decide, had only barely begun to allow a taste of the pain to seep into her, when the guy suddenly forced out a breif "Sorry," before walking off quickly. He went to the closest wall, resting against it. Alice just stared after him in dismay, a slight sting in her back.

As she righted her chair and sat down again, she realised that even with her sympathy she'd been looking at the matter clinically. The pain, the decision to transfer, she hadn't really questioned it. How had he been injured? Guys hurt themselves all the time; playing sport, showing off, drunken accidents. Another possibility stirred in her mind. Had this been done to him? Alice's anger flared at the thought, and the desire to find and unleash her powers upon any person responsible burned bright. It was a heady rush of power knowing she could inflict the same damage she accepted.

Alice suddenly realised she was half way out of her seat. She glanced at Riley and Jeremiah, and back at the guy across the room. He was looking at her warily.

What exactly did she intend to do? Sympathy mixed with rage and the constant demanding sense of her power. At her old school she'd made a small living accepting people's injuries for petty cash. A student footy player who wanted to do something about his stuffed knee before the grand-finals, a senior with migraines during final exams... but this was different. Possibly.

Alice turned to Jeremiah, 'Uh, just hold that thought, I'll be back in a moment. Get to know my pal Riley here, or something.' Without waiting for a reply she started across the room. She was vaguely humoured by how it must look to the outside observer, she being knocked over and then determinedly stalking after the person responsible.

As she came up to him she allowed herself to survey the person before her. His hair was cut short, and he wore a dark sweater over broad shoulders and lean frame, and she imagined his face was quite stunning when he smiled; rather than when it was marred by pain and the expression he made upon seeing her approaching. He's rather nice looking, all-in-all, she thought, a thin smirk curling her lips.

"Hey," she said. "I'm Alice Ender." 'And can I transfer your injuries?' she thought about adding.
Or: 'You should really get some bandages and painkillers for that.'
'Who did that to you and can I hurt them?'
'I'm invading your privacy; wanna be friends?' 'Or more?'

Instead she just said, "Are you okay?"

Anabelle had been sitting there holding her phone leaning against the building, at the moment she was terribly exhausted and she just wanted to sleep, but she was happy not a lot of people were around because then she wouldn't have to deal with all the emotions that they all felt and the auras radiating from them like a strong smell. It had given her a headache and she just wanted to go back her room, which was a suite that the heads of the house often shared, Annabelle would try to help with orientation if she could but the headmaster would understand if she couldn't, even though Annabelle was a talented student in the regard of using her power, there still came a line where she couldn't control it and ever since she could remember, she's never been able to control how she has an empathy link of sorts. It's not an exact empathy issue, as that is a whole different power but given she's in a good radius she can feel the auras that people give off which makes a wave of their emotion go over her, which makes her go between states a lot and hence it drains her energy and can cause massive headaches.

Soon she felt her phone vibrate and she opened her eyes and she saw the text from Robert and she smiled. He had been wondering if she was free tonight and if she wanted to go to dinner with him and his brother and Anna knew it'd mean a lot to Rob if she went, if she could just sleep before then, then she'd be alright and be good to go anyways. She'd go either way. She began to write out a message back to him.

"Sure! I'd love to go Robbie. :)" She sent and then she clutched onto her phone as her eyes closed again.

Annabelle had fallen asleep where she was but eventually as the time passed she felt the presence of someone near by and she shot up and woke up. She rubbed her eyes and then she saw Robert there, and she got into his car and then she kissed him softly as she came back and strapped her seat belt on, and then smiled at him. "Thank you for coming and getting me Robert." She said smiling and then she managed to get comfy in the passenger seat. "I think I'm going to just tell Headmaster Ryan that I'm horribly sorry for not helping with orientations and that I'm just going to try and get some sleep, I didn't really sleep last night." Anna said, she had told him of her chronic insomnia, and because they were in the academy with each other for so long he already knew about the effect her powers had on her sometimes. "How was your morning?" She asked smiling at him.

Kian could tell something was up with Astrid when he put his arm around her, her body stiff and not reacting, not leaning into him as she usually did. He pulled it away a few feet away from the car, making his way to the car in silence. He mood was effecting him, and as the car ride went on his emotion seemed to drain, and he felt uncomfortable. He'd never seen the aura color coming from Astrid before, so he had no idea what it meant, but he didn't like it. When she planted a kiss on his cheek, he hardly reacted, nodding his head in goodbye and exiting the car.

His body blindly led him toward the back of the school building. Kian came here to smoke last year, and though he'd been trying to break the habit, old habits die hard. Walking slowly and silently, he pulled his water bottle out of his bag, taking a few sips, then putting it back. His feet came to a stop when he reached the spot. It was likely the headmaster as well as most if not all of the professors knew he smoked on campus, but no body seemed to care too much. Maybe it was because they didn't know how to help him.

Lighting up a cig, he took a breath, slowly releasing the puff while closing his eyes. What did he do wrong? Being farther away had taken away most of the emotion he'd gotten from being with Astrid, and he was now able to think. What'd made her feel that way? "Damn it," he muttered, punching his hand hard against the wall, then just standing there as he kept puffing. As he finished his cig, now completely recovered from Astrid's emotional surge, he felt relaxed, from the combination of alcohol and nicotine in his body. He made his way back to his room, changing his clothes into a different uniform, applying cologne and brushing his teeth. He then made his way to the cafeteria.

His eyes found Lucy immediately, and after making a quick eye contact with her, he made her way towards her. He had said they were going to get lunch, but he assumed he wouldn't freak her out.

Quinn's eyes shut for a few seconds, taking a deep breathe to drive away the screaming pain, then opened his eyes again. They were planted on the chair, the now empty chair. Where had the girl gone? His eyes searched the room, sweeping left and right in shock, until they fell back upon her, now making her way toward him. As she arrived next to him, he saw her look him over, taking in his appearance, and he did the same. He cleared his face of the pained expression, and pushed on a bit of a smirk. Why had this girl taken in interest in the stranger who bumped into her chair?

He nodded slowly, taking in her concerned expression. Why was she so concerned? His eyes searched hers for some type of hint, but finding nothing. "I'm Quinn, and I'm fine," he said, but as he said this he could still feel the stinging pain of each mark. He'd have to change soon, or the wet marks on his back would become evident.

Tiffany let out a sigh as she stared at her notebook. No ideas were coming to her. It was so hard to find a decent prank that won't get her in trouble or killed. This is why she needed Astrid. She was good at coming up with things like that. She could pull a prank on Lucy, Her reaction in the end was always hilarious. But people liked her too much. They would be all over Tiffany. It was a huge mess that she didn't want to deal with at this current time. Annabelle was also fun to prank, but Astrid had a strict no-no on that one as well. Which didn't leave very many choices. When Astrid shows up she could as her.

"What are you planning, Tiff?" Speak of the devil Tiffany thought. She looked up at her friend. There was a devious smirk on her chest that made her very happy. It meant that Astrid was ready to plan a prank. "Nothing! I can't think of anyone decent to prank," Tiffany said shutting the notebook. They have practically pranked everyone and done every prank known to man. Coming up with a new one was going to be hard. Astrid took a spot near the windowsill just as Tiffany has done.

Then a thought came to her head. Freshman. It was always easy to prank the freshman. And they could do small simple things that won't cause too much damage. "Tiff, if you had the choice between someone you really like and someone you have sex with, who would you choose?" Tiffany raised and eyebrow up at Astrid. Where the hell did that question come from? she thought to herself. They didn't really have conversations like this, but Tiffany did have an answer. "Someone I like. The sex would be ten times better." she replied opening the trick not book back up. Now she had an idea of who she wanted to prank.

Some kid came over and gave Astrid a drink and it made her laugh. Astrid practically had the entire school wrapped around her tiny little finger. Except for Tiffany. They always had this mini battle of popularity. Neither of them will follow each other around like little lap dogs. But when they are together, they are force that shouldn't be reckoned with. "So, what's the plan, mi amiga?" her friend asked of her. "We prank all the new freshman. They won't see it coming and it is a great welcoming gift" she said with a smile. "I just don't know what the prank should be."

Jeremiah's attention was still on the other girls. Lucy wasn't jealous, she just wanted to get out of the cafeteria. Of course not being rude, she was going to let Jeremiah talk to the girls as long as he wants. It was a trait that Lucy wish she didn't have. If she was a rude bitch like most everyone already thinks she is, then Jeremiah and her would have already left the cafeteria. A sigh escaped her lips and she looked down at the ground as they spoke. Just then a guy crashed into one of the girls. It was Quinn. Head of her house. They didn't talk much, but it isn't like they would want to talk to each other. They could barely talk to other people. But now there was one girl left that needed to be gone. Just then her phone vibrated. It was from Kyle. Which is strange since Lucy was just thinking about him.

He was inviting her to dinner with him and his brother, Robert. And where Robert goes, Annabelle follows. So it was a dinner of four. Two people, Lucy cared about and one that Lucy won't even give a second thought too. Nothing could possibly go wrong. Except for everything. She sighed and send a reply back. She wasn't going to reject them. They were the closet thing to a 'family' that she could get. She was going to go to this dinner.

To:Kyle
From:Lucy
Dinner sounds good

The message sent and she pocketed the phone. Her entire day was booked up. Breakfast with Jeremiah. Lunch with Kian. Dinner with Kyle and Robert. Today she was miss popular. Wonder what Tiffany would have to day about that. she thought. She turned her head to look at Tiffany and saw that she was talking to Astrid. Her only friend. They were always plotting something. Many time Tiffany has tried pranking her, but it has ended badly for her. And now Lucy knows what their pranks look like. Turning her head back to Jeremiah she saw that he wasn't moving from his spot. And this other girl was going to continue talking to him. Just then she made eye contact with her other friend. Kian. Finally someone was coming to save her.

She stepped away from Jeremiah and started walking toward him. He was moving toward her as well and they eventually met in the middle. The automaton facade that she put up for the girls had gone away. Her bright green eyes had a bit of happiness and relief filled in it. Her thoughts were coming back in a random fashion and she didn't know how to handle her thoughts moving that fast. But she didn't let that show. She gave her friend a small smile. "Hey" she said simply. "We weren't supposed to meet until lunch," she joked.

"Hi."

Riley turned her head and looked at the girl who just approached their table. Her 'hi' was more of an uncertain one kind of uncomfortable if you look at her facial features. Though could be just a cover up but Riley doubted it. Most people weren't like that. Oh well she hoped most people weren't like that. "Hey, I'm Riley but you can call me Riles. What's your name." It couldn't get any former than that. Riley even added in her breath taking smile which she prayed eased the tension at the table. The sound of a crash annd a grunt pulled her attention from the girl to the two people residing on the floor.Riley squinted trying to figure out who cashed into Alice. Someone she hasn't seen before. Which is a lot of people since Riley is an incoming Freshman.

Next thing you know he pops up mutters a sorry ad gone he is. "Um okay..? That was something. Are you okay Alice? Riley said concern plastered on her face as she watched her friend right her chair again. They are friend's right? Well Riley thought so so for henceforth Alice is her first Eltz Academy friend. Hooray. Riley moved Caramel off her lap not feeling her thigh anymore. 'Uh, just hold that thought, I'll be back in a moment. Get to know my pal Riley here, or something.' Riley rolled her eyes playful at the word pal. Such an old word. Alice get u and goes back over to the boy who knocked them both down.

Riley turned to Jeremiah and the Newcomer. "Hey do you guys know who that guy was?" Riley asked voicing her thoughts. It's not like she was going to hunt him down or anything but it's nice to know as many names as you can so things don't get awkward. That would be bad if you bumped into someone you saw everyday but never knew their name. Embarrassing. The Newcomer looks at her phone and off she goes. Riley pouted a little. She never got her name. She shrugged it off and gave her full attention t Jeremiah. There was a light pink tint to her cheeks and she breath out. "Well, i had plans to go into town with Alice but she's gone so do you want to go with me?" Riley asked.

"I'm Quinn, and I'm fine."

Alice smiled her eyes narrowing. Liar. 'Hello Quinn.'

Some people don't like to reveal their pain, for so many reasons. They didn't want to appear weak, or did't want to burden others. And that's their right, Alice tried to remind herself. It's funny how small pain is eloquent. A paper cut will be complained about long and loud, but real pain is harder to express, yet requires fewer words.

If I were to pat him on the back I'm sure he'd be more expressive. Alice thought, a little spiteful in her exasperation, she'd already had a small taste of that pain felt like. For a moment she considered being courteous, respecting his right to privacy. Her power felt like a headstrong dog on a leash, tugging, whining, trying to get at what it desired, and she honestly tried thinking of a scenario in her head where she walked away.

Then she turned and leant against the wall next to him, crossing her arms over her chest. Proximity was heady enough without adding skin-contact to the equation; she kept her hands tucked away. Looking back towards her table where Riley was talking to Jermemiah and the other girl, rather then at Quinn, she said in a low voice, 'Funny, you Americans must have a different definition of 'fine'. I didn't think it tended to involve your level of pain.' Only then did she glance at him, eyebrows raised, to see his reaction.

Jimmy felt bad bringing Eleanor when meeting new people, so he gave the girl his number so that if she needed anything, she could call.

From Jimmy, this was an innocent move, and Eleanor laughed when he did flirtatious things and was unaware of it.

They continued into one of the less used hallways where Jimmy had a room for migraines. He wouldn't realize until the next few minutes how handy it would be.

They sat against a windowsill, idly chatting, when the migraine hit him full force. Jimmy cried out, curling up into himself. His head seemed to be pounding in sync with his heart. When his mind is clogged with a migraine, many of the systems in his body go out of order. His pain center was sending signals off in every direction, encircling his body in agony. It was a reminder of all the electric shock.

His body was transforming in and out at a rapid pace, many different forms flickering on his body.

Jimmy had never done this in front of anyone except the Headmaster and Professor Lawrence. His body dropped to the floor with a thud. Jimmy's eyes were shut tight and he was gasping for breath. His head was pounding too hard to function.

"E-el, E-el-lie, the roo-roo-room, there." He managed to pry out. It was a relief she knew him well enough to know he hid himself from everyone when his migraines occurred. He'd never gone into detail about their origins, but she'd only seen him lying on the bed, fans blowing at his half-naked body as the heat flashes of the migraine attacked him.

As soon as they were in the cold vicinity of his attack room, the flashing transformations subsided. His head still felt like it was going to split open, but his hands and feet had only a tingling sensation left in their sensation pads.

Jimmy supposed, now that he could think straight, that he would have to tell her at least all that the migraine did to him. The origin, however, wasn't something he was too found of sharing. That was something no one knew about, except Headmaster Ryan, and his deceased siblings. Not to mention the people that tortured him.

He forced himself away from those thoughts and regulated his breathing from its current hyperventilation.

This was definitely not a good day.

A smile fit to Kian's mouth when him and Lucy made eye contact, and his walk sped up slightly as she met him halfway. He saw relief fill her eyes, and though he wanted to hug her, he didn't. Lucy didn't like a lot of the things he did, but that what made them such good friends. He chuckled lightly at her comment, tilting his head towards the door to signal her to start towards it.

"I guess I missed you, kiddo," he said, slipping his hands into his pocket and smiling as he used one the many nicknames he rotated on Lucy. He continued to walk at a steady pace, not really sure where he was taking her. They ddi that often, just roamed and hung out, because the two could go hours with nothing on mind and both have a good time. Kian mentally gave himself a slap across the face when they took a turn in the hallway, everything going blurry for a second. Lucy didn't like alcohol, and he knew that, and she didn't like cigs either, and he hated the fact that he did it.

But now, having just drunken and smoked, he felt especially bad about it. People, unless they were close to him, could never tell he did either. He was always so happy, so friendly, and people associated smoking and drinking with bad people, so it was always a shock when someone realized he had an issue. Then again, most people didn't realize it. Take Lucy, as far as Kian knew, she had no idea about his struggle with both addicting substances.

Kian came to a pause as he realized they were at his room. To someone else, this might look strange, a boy taking a girl to his dorm, but Lucy knew Kian wasn't trying to get with her. They often hung out in his room, since he had an impressive coffee machine, music collection, and book shelf. One time they'd sat in their for the majority of a weekend, ripping through a few books and a few too many pounds of coffee beans, and it was awesome. "It's kind of a mess," Kian muttered, nodding for Lucy to enter and turning on the coffee machine. He put out his arms and Max, his cat, leaped into them, leaning into him and instantly purring. He turned and looked at Lucy.

"How've you been?"

Quinn could see in the girls eyes that she was thinking, though about what, he couldn't tell. There was a certain glint to her eyes that told Quinn she was used to getting what she wanted, used to working things out no matter what it took. And it kind of scared him. He watched her, and when she spoke, his face stayed blank, however a single vein in his neck pulsed. His eyes slowly lifted from the ground to her eyes, looking to see her expression, but it didn't help with his confusion.

How did she know about his pain? And how much did she know? Did she know how he got it? How much it hurt? How his body was marred with traces of past injuries much worse? Without thinking, he grabbed her hand, pulling her quickly out to the hall with him, and around a corner to an empty dead end. He didn't say anything, pushing her softly against the wall in front of him, and putting an arm next to her head, hand against the wall, his face less than a foot away from hers as he looked her dead in the eye. "What do you know, and more importantly, what do you want?" He said, his voice it's usual emotionless, cold self.

No emotion crossed his face. Then he grabbed her hand.

Alice wasn't prepared for that. Pain flared suddenly across her back as her powers flowed of their own accord. She stumbled slightly, as Quinn quickly led her from the hall, but was too distracted to resist, instead her mind frantically raced to cut off the transfer of pain and reinforce the necessary mental barriers.

She gritted her teeth when she found her back pressed against a wall. The pain had steadied once she'd regained control, no longer increasing but still present. It wasn't a complete transfer, his pain might have lessened but it certainly wouldn't be gone, instead they both carried some of it. Absently she hoped that a little pain was all she'd transferred, she was beginning to feel a little less charitable, and that Quinn's injuries were his own to bear.

She stared up at him, resentful that her breath was quick and her eyes still a little wide. His face was very close to hers; his eyes were cold and fixed upon her, his face expressionless. His arm rested on the wall by her head and she recalled his firm grip on her hand, the lean strength was more clear close up. Unwillingly, she drew a shuddering breath, and wished she could blame on just the pain.

This wasn't right. She was never vulnerable, not in a long time. Usually it was she who commanded a situation. Pain was a constant in her life, she didn't feel it the way other people did any more. It was her companion and her weapon. Only the ignorant and the foolish assumed to come against her since she'd learned to transfer pain away from herself.

"What do you know, and more importantly, what do you want?" Quinn demanded, interrupting her racing thoughts.

Alice glared up at him defiantly. She was angry; angry that he could scare her, angry that his closeness affected her. Straight answers would be sensible. But there weren't many who had ever accused her of such a virtue.

'Want?' she looked him up and down, her mouth set in a condescending sneer, trying not to let her eyes linger. She leant forward, reducing the distance between them even further. 'Sweetie, I don't want anything from you,' she bit out harshly.

'As for what I know? Well... I know a lot of things,' Alice smiled.

The Russian had taken and scored over thirty shots before he noticed someone watching him. When he was on the field it was as if nothing else existed except him, the ball and the goal.

When Vas' eyes finally left the ball to see who was watching him he was in the middle of a shot and his accuracy suffered harshly. The ball after leaving his foot took a high arc and went wide of the goal. "Shit" he murmured under his breath as he jogged off the field and toward the bleacher where the ball had landed. As he approached the seat the man who had been watching him made his way over.

"Thats quite the leg you got their kid." Man said as he extended his hand.
"Thank you sir" Said Vas as he shook the man's hand firmly with a confused look on his face.
"Well look I don't want to take you way from your practice or anything but we're starting a youth soccer team in town, and I was wondering if you would stop by and show the kids a thing or two. They could learn a lot from someone as talented as you."
The man seemed sincere and slightly desperate
"I..I'd love too" A look of embarrassment on Vas' face was soon over taken by wide grin at the thought of being able to help kids pursue their passion for soccer.
"Great! thank you so much, We start practice today after the kids get out of school and we have it 3 times a week, hope to see you there!" The man walked away dialing a number into his cell phone to make a call as Vas finished collecting the ball which by now had rolled deep underneath the bleacher.

"Well at least i don't have to worry about finding something to do after class" He thought to himself still smiling.

The Russian had worked up quite the thirst during his work out and began to feel slightly dehydrated. So he made his way back inside in search of water and in the hopes of spreading his newly found good mood.

Soon after reentering the school Vas saw what he could only describe as an awkward situation. He noticed a girl was pinned against a wall by boy slightly shorten than himself and although they were close in face they didn't appear to be having a relationship moment, but then again Vas wasn't in the best position to judge so he simply decided to walk past the two with soccer ball in hand and continue on his way.

Once again Vassi found himself in the cafeteria only this time the sea of people was less dense and more people were seated with only and handful standing up. He immediately noticed someone he had seen from earlier, A girl in a red beanie with blonde hair, She seemed much more alive now then she had earlier in the day and he swore to himself that even saw her smile a little as she exited the cafeteria with a boy who was similar in height to himself. As she passed him they exchanged a smile and continued in their different directions.

He continued on his way to the vending machine with his track pants making a "swishing" noise with every step. when he finally reached the machine he stopped in front of it and starred at it with a puzzled look on his face. "Umm how do I get water out of this thing without breaking it" he pondered. It had been three years for him since he had used one of these and he wasn't quite sure what to do. As he looked around he noticed 5 people relatively near him, on one side it was the guy and the girl with the dog he walked past earlier this morning. They seemed to be enjoying each others company so he decide it was best not to bother them. On the other side of him were three girls one sitting by herself reading a book and the other two sitting by a window. Vas decided it would be these two he would ask for help not knowing any better.

"Excuse me could either of you ladies show me how to operate that machine over there" His Russian accent accidentally slipped through as he pointed to the vending machine with an embarrassed smile on his face his.

As they were with the girl, Eleanor felt her phone in her back pocket. When she looked at the text, it was from the head boy of her house, Kyle.

"Hey, Eleanor I was just wondering how the freshman orientation plans are going, I was thinking we could give a brief introduction to what their responsibilities are"

The girl didn't take long to reply before putting her phone back in her pocket.

The plans are going well but, we may have to meet up to just make sure everything is okay.

The two were as close as the two could be, seeing that they were both a bit closed off to the idea of getting close to a lot of people. It wasn't easy for them to as close as her and Jimmy were. But, like most of the head students of the other houses, Eleanor felt something for him and she would be lying if she said that she never wondered what it would be like to be with him and actually be more than friends. Then she would remember who exactly she was; She was Eleanor Sinclair, a girl who really liked her space from most people, a girl who never liked letting people touch her, but more than anything. She was the girl who's father left her to be with an abusive mother and would constantly remind the young girl that she was nothing special. Nothing but a mistake that couldn't be erased or taken back and after awhile she began believing it herself and has ever since.

Not long after them going over to the girl, Eleanor's anxiety began to form and Jimmy more than likely could tell which was why he just gave the girl his number before walking away with Ellie by his side as they headed inside to hopefully make Jimmy's forming migraine more tolerable.

When they made their way to a vacant hallway, Eleanor just sat across from the best friend on the large window as the two began chatting, about random things. In all honesty, Eleanor just wanted to get his mind off of the migraine and hopefully make him feel better. She wasn't used to seeing him like this and she never wanted to see it again. But, it wasn't long until he was curled up in pain and cried out. She bent down and put her hand his back as she tried to find out what was wrong. Her eyes darted from his eyes and the empty hallway around them before looking back at her friend as he talked to her. "E-el, E-el-lie, the roo-roo-room, there." She didn't even say a word as she helped him up to his feet and helped him to his room. She had been in the room a few times when she was trying to find her best friend. She laid him on the bed and stayed by his side as she waited for him to return to normal.

She wasn't used to seeing this happen to him but, she wasn't going to let it scare him into leaving him to suffer through it himself. Nothing would make her leave him like this. She walked in front of him before bending down to meet his eyes with hers. She offered him a small smile as she put one hand through his hair to move it off of his forehead and away from his face as he tried to stop his hyperventilating. "Just breath in and out, Jamie. Everything's fine. Just take your time and if you feel like something's about to happen, let me know." She assured him as she moved her hand back to her side and watched him carefully, making sure that if something bad was going to happen, she was going to be right there. But, for now all she could do is wait for him to show signs of being okay.

Quinn smirked lightly when she drew in a breath, his face still right in front of hers. He could smell her, whatever it was she smelt like, and it smelt good. His eyes traced her features as they displayed a cruel sneer, too cruel to belong to such a beauty as herself. As she leaned forward, Quinn not willing to move, they were near inches away from each other, so close he could feel her breath.

And then she opened her mouth, her words forceful, cutting like any blade. He was shocked, slightly, but didn't show it. He was used to being sneered at. But it did scare him slightly.

What did she know? How did she know it? And did she know where it was from? He flexed his back, out of habit, and for a mere second his face was yet again stricken with a cringe of pain as a sharp sting phased him, and he immediately collapsed his back, falling slightly forward. He was now leaning his whole body on his arm, which was partially bent, and was only a few inches from Alice. His breath came quick and heavy as he slowly straightened, blanking his face slowly, but unable to clear the pain from his eyes.

"What... what do you know?"

When Quinn fell forward Alice reactively placed a hand on his chest to steady him. She could feel the heat of him even through his sweater. Her lips were parted slightly in surprise and she had pressed herself against the wall but the gap between them was trifling. I am so fickle, she admonished herself; it was difficult to maintain her resolve and anger with him so close, especially when the expression of pain flitted across his face. Although Quinn quickly schooled his features back to impassiveness, it didn't reach his eyes, and he seemed genuinely distressed when he repeated his question to her.

'I... I know...'

His eyes were brown. Well, kind of hazel. It was a warm colour, flecked with yellow. This, apparently was what her brain decided to focus on when she had a guy leaning over her close enough to feel his breath on her skin, rather than formulating words or actions. That, and pulse of his pain calling to her powers. What had this guy done to himself? The pain was sharp and raw, and just like that she knew he must be bleeding.

And damn her own bleeding heart, but she eased her barriers down.

'I don't know what stupid sort of things you get up to to damage yourself like you have, but I know you're in pain and I know I can help.'

The pain spilled over and her breath hitched but Alice kept her faced composed as she absorbed the pain, felt it burn along her nerves, leaving Quinn enough so that he was still aware of his injuries and wouldn't aggravate them accidentally. It was only once she had cut the off transfer and finally pushed the pain into stasis, that she realized her hand had clenched on his sweater. She quickly loosened her grip and dropped her hand to her side

Sighing deeply with the sudden exhaustion that filled her, caused by holding the pain that was now her own at bay, Alice rested her head back against the wall with a lazy smile. 'We really ought to do something about that back of yours," she murmured, 'I feel like it's gonna need more than just a plaster.'

More like, half the supplies in the medical bag she had stuffed in the bottom of her luggage. The pain had felt like her entire back had been torn up. She could think of what might have caused it just from the pain. Had he been in a road accident and grated his back along bitumen? Or maybe he'd been attacked by some sort of animal? Alice glanced up at him from under her dark rimmed eyelids, watching the rise and fall of his chest as her eyes slowly tracked up to his face, still so close to hers.

Jeremiah Raimin

Jeremiah smiled the way he usually does when someone acts some what odd around him. Riley was acting odd but then again this might be the way she acts normally. "Oh yea, everything's good over here." she said after his comment. "Good I'm glad."
He then introduced himself to Alice and she asked about his finger. Then right as he was about to answer she gets bumped into but a man I believe she name is Quinn or something like that. So she takes off after him but not before Lucy stands behind me and is probably making a slightly lost face. The her phone goes off leaving just Riley and Jeremiah. Riley asked about the boy and then asked about going into the town. Jeremiah didn't see a problem and checked his watch.
"I believe that mans name is Quinn or something of that nature. Also sadly as much as I would enjoy taking you into town it getting quite close to first class. No worries you don't need a book for this class but just in case you need them I always take notes." He laughed a little bit like that was somehow funny.

Andrei Stepanov

Andrei was walking to the front office like it was no other day. Scarlett was being very quiet and Dre wondered if she had something on her mind. He was about to ask her when his phone went off. It was Astrid looking to make a plan for a little downtime later. He had no objections. It usually ended being a small two person party. He texted her back\

From Dre
to Astrid
You know me well how can I deny my kryptonite.

He put his phone back in its case and looked over at Scarlett. He had to see if something was wrong. He grabed her wrist and pulled her to the side. "Are you alright? Your acting kinda funky?"

Lucy followed Kian out of the cafeteria. She felt a bit a bad for leaving Jeremiah, but he seemed okay with the orange haired girl. And she really needed to get out of the cafeteria. There was way too many people and Lucy was already having a bad start to her day. That last thing she needs to do is get sent to the office for hurting someone. That would be very bad for her and the person she hurts. Just for some reason the pill she took this morning wasn't working like it should. It was making her lose her mind and her her sense of what was real and what wasn't. She had seen her brother this morning and even though he is gone, she could still hear his giggling and random annoying questions. It was becoming a problem.

Without even realizing it, they had ended up in Kian's room. Now she understood why Tiffany thought she was a whore. There are multiple accounts where she would be caught entering or leaving the room of another male. Of course they weren't doing anything, but talking. Or in Andre's case, being told off. Lucy didn't really yell at him, she just wanted him to cease wit the flirting. It was driving her insane and she couldn't handle it. But with Jeremiah and Kian, they would just talk, or read, or listen to music, or sit in silence. When it came to Kyle and Robert, they were always talking. Lucy only really ever opens up to those two. They know the real Lucy. Even though they don't know what she did, they knew enough. That practically makes them family.

Kian's room was a bit of a mess, but it wasn't a big deal. Just small things that were out of order. Lucy could still see the floor which what truly mattered. Lucy gave what seemed like a smile when Max leaped into Kian's arms. Max reminded her of Lucky, her cat, and Lucy loved Lucky. She doesn't truly know why, but she does understand that there is some form of love there. Heading toward his bed, she starts to think about the question she just asked him. "How've you been?" Lucy can't answer that question because she doesn't know. She never knows and today hasn't been that great of a day. She wasn't going to give Kian the details. A sigh escaped her lips before she responded. "There have been better days. How have you been?" she replied.

At this point, Lucy hopes Kian starts talking and holding a conversation with himself. That is why Lucy even keeps him around. He doesn't ask much of her and doesn't expect much either. She could utter three words to him and he would be just as satisfied. Lucy just enjoys sitting, being silent, and letting him talk. It is easier then having to respond to whatever he says.

Kian knew, more or less, what Lucy's reply would be before she answered. It was always the same, but he continued to ask, hoping that one day she'd eventually have an answer somewhere along the lines of good. But until, this would do. Max snuggled into his chest, then caught sight of Lucy. He liked Lucy a lot, and the cat leaped from Kian's arms to the floor, walking to her. He slowly walked around her legs, purring loudly, causing a smile to erupt on Kian's lips, as he contemplated an answer to Lucy's question.

"I've been good," he said, pouring out two large cups of coffee. "Did I tell you about the new book I picked up two days ago?" Kian asked, making the coffee the way she liked it, and handing it to her. He hardly waited for an answer, only pausing long enough to take a few sips of the black coffee. "It's actually pretty cool." Kian sat down on the other side of his bed, leaning against the pillow, preparing for the long words he would soon say. This was the usual interactions between the two, Kian talking, telling a story, explaining something. Kian just talking about anything, and Lucy listening. And that was fine, Kian liked hanging out with her, but he knew they'd never become super close, because she'd never open up to him. But that was fine.

"It explains, in depth, the thought process of the man who created lie detectors..." And with that, he went on a near 20 minutes summary of the book.

When Lucy's hand was placed on his chest, he shivered slightly at her touch, and reluctantly leaned in more. He opened his eyes back to their normal size, and from this close, Lucy's eyes were bright and large. Their eye contact only lasted a few seconds, but it was pretty strong. And distracting. He was brought back into focus when she spoke.

Her words confused him, but that didn't matter. He chuckled, bitterly, breathing heavy after her first words.

When the pain decreased, his eyes opened wide, catching Alice's face fall into a pit of pain, her breath hitching. Her hand was clutched onto the front of his sweater, but he was now able to stand straighter, but he kept his arm close to her. When she leaned her head back, his pain still highly evident in his body, but not nearly as bad as it had been, he put his right arm under her elbow, supporting her more. "I'll be fine," he said, watching her reactions closely. It was weird, being this close to someone he didn't know at all. But it wasn't bad. His breath calmed to an even pace, their eyes connecting again. "It's not that bad," he said, thinking that compared to a few of his past injuries, it was fine.

But even as he said that, he could feel the wet, bloody sweater now sticking to his back. He needed to change, soon, or else it might start to drip. He connected his eyes with her, letting her decide where to go.

It came and went, the pain.

There were moments where he felt he could go on, and then he would be attacked again. There were layers almost visible of tears on his face. His mind kept replaying the fateful day where he became an only child in his personal Hell. He needed the medicine Headmaster Ryan had given him for the attacks. He always wondered if they were actually helping or if it was a placebo to trick his mind into getting better. Regardless, his mind searched for them. "El, I have to get to my room." He called to her. She was so faithful to him, he could think of anyone that had been at his side for so long. If only she knew how much he cared.

With her help, he returned his sunglasses to his bloodshot eyes and slowly made it out of the room. The brightness attacked him and he had to slam himself against the wall to stable himself before he was brought to his knees. He knew she was worried, and she had a right to be; he'd never had a full-blown attack in front of her, and decided he never would again.

With all the strength he could muster, and a slow twenty minutes, they were inside his dorm room. It was mostly tidy, bookshelves of different proportions on every wall. A movie shelf hung in front of the screen he kept in his bedroom. On the counter, in front of a picture of his two sibings, was the pill bottle. He held it with shaking hands and took a simple pill from it's body. The effects were almost simultaneous; his headache subsided, the brightness dimmed, and he could finally relax from the constant pain of tension. He took Eleanor in a hug, "thank you for helping me, I know it was probably strange and pretty scary." Jimmy murmured with his head nustled on top of hers.

When they parted, he checked his watch. It was ten minutes to Professor Lawrence's class and it took fifteen to get there from his part of the dorms. "Shit," he breathed, taking Eleanor's hand and breaking into a sprint. Hopefully, with the speed they could share, they would get to his class in time. Jimmy didn't want another detention for being late.

Luckily, they both made to the classroom to witness the projection Professor Lawrence was using. It was a beautiful scenery, and Jimmy gasped in awe. But all too soon, the scene melted, and Jimmy felt that familiar tug of someone's power on his mind. Terror coursed through his veins and down his spine; the professor's mind had latched onto Jimmy's own and was starting to project his memories. Before the cell could fully reemerge and thoroughly scare the living shit out of Jimmy, he filled his mind with the hills of Ireland, his laughing family, and the lake he called home. The dank smell left as soon as it entered, and he breathed a sigh of relief. Hopefully, Eleanor was too focused on something else to have noticed the first projection.

The freshman; Astrid smirked.

Freshman were the kids who got her lattes, punching bags turned punchers, and Astrid was all for a little lesson in humility. It was a trait not many Dreist students had. She was already brewing up a scheme that Tiff would be more than happy to put into motion. "Well, orientation is before lunch, and I think they may be a bit hungry, but they'd have to earn it, of course. Now how they will pay the price is up to you, Tiff." Astrid planned, sipping on her favorite latte. Some of the Driest freshman had qualities she liked to see, but she would have to test them all to give them a seal of approval.

As soon as she went to continue, her phone buzzed. It was from Andre, calling her kryptonite. He was right, she hadn't found a single boy that could resist her charms.

To: Dre
From: Star

Call me Kryptonite. See you tonight, 'Dre (;

As her manicured fingers taped away, a Russian-accented boy asked Tiffany and herself for help on the vending machine. Tiff would have been all for flaunting her body as she bent to catch the boy's choice, but Astrid wouldn't give herself the pleasure. "Of course, though I have to ask why you could get it yourself." Astrid sneered, but only in a playful way. She returned with the boy to the machine and tapped away to get him the water he desired. As he went to get it, she scanned him.

This boy wasn't unattractive, though there was the quirkiness of a Ruhig student. "Astrid," she said as she extended her hand. She would have this boy wrapped around her finger before Tiffany could blink. They were always in a mini-competition for popularity, but for her, it was getting people to like her, not getting people to know her. Astrid's biggest pet peeve was having someone dislike or hate her. Once the boy revealed his name to be Vassi, she clicked her nails against her cheek. "I suppose you're new here, considering I've never seen you before. He certainly had a fit body that would bode well during combat class. She fluffed her hair and tried to focus her attention on the boy when she already had a lot on her mind. There was the event from earlier, and the choice between Andre and Kian, which was beginning to figure itself out, so it was hard to focus, especially with a lingering pain in the back of her head.

Walking near her, Robert saw Annabelle sleeping, he didn't want to wake her but considering the school hour is approaching soon, he walked near her. She just shot up super cautiously, he laughed "get up, sleepyhead, you can go sleep on the car" and yes, of course he meant it considering the school was a while away from the coffee shop.

Watching her get cozy in the passenger seat, he laughed, she is just so adorable, it's hard to believe they been with each other since forever.

"How was your morning" she asked
"Well, you know the usual" laughing, of course...he didn't want her to find out about him sleeping in, and not eating breakfast, because he has a feeling someone is going to start lecturing him about breakfast being the most important meal of the day.
"What about you?" he asked, changing the topic.
After hearing the answer he said "thank you for coming to dinner again with my brother and I don't know where I'll be without you, I need to make you up a dinner sometime just the two of us"
Until he just remembered he is just sitting in the car, not driving...oops....running late need to get started
"You look really tired get some sleep, you'll need it, considering there is so many classes to come"

Looking at Eleanor's response, he realized he has to find time for it before the Freshmen decides to go crazy around the halls, well maybe not crazy, but hey that is what all freshmen do. Get a little crazy and use the fact that they are new as an excuse, trust me Kyle has actually done something like that. During his first year with Katherine...things got a bit out of hand, they did end up getting butterbeer on their bedsheets, but from then on they realized the serious consequences of their actions, so they never ended up doing anything of that sort there, and look where he is now.

Walking down the hall he replied to Eleanor:
"so when do you have time to meetup to discuss it? you know the first few days are always hectic. Give me a call if you can"

Again continuing down the hall he wanted to find somewhere to go, but it seems the school is still so quiet besides the loud noises made by the freshmen in a distance maybe that is why the headmaster's room is always so distant from the other buildings, it's keeps it quiet. If he ever works here, he'll want to teach....well he hasn't thought about that because right now he only has one goal, get into the order and work like one his respected "idols" Samuel Lively. He had been an alumni a couple of years back but Kyle has never really talked to him back then since he was pretty young, and didn't know much about the order.

Before he realized it, his phone begun beeping again
this time it was Lucy
"Dinner sounds good"
"Great! Thanks, I'll text you the details. don't know how the dinner will be without you, I have a feeling Robert might overreact again...he really needs to learn how to grow up, I have a feeling he hasn't eaten breakfast yet, could you text him and remind him for me, I have a feeling if I texted him he would get angry and decide not to listen to me" he text back

Robert sure has an attitude for not listening to his brother, it's true....

"Of course, though I have to ask why you could get it yourself." one of the girls said mockingly, Vas rubbed the back of his neck and chosen to treat the question as rhetorical because he knew the answer would sounds ridiculous. The girl returned with the him to the machine and tapped away to get him the water he desired. "Thunk" the sound of the water bottle exiting the machine brought an even bigger smile to his face. Putting the soccer ball down on the ground Vas quickly opened the bottle taking a quick sip before the girl spoke again.

"Astrid," she said as she extended her hand.
"Vassi, nice to meet you"he responded shaking her hand gently and like a gentleman for such was the way he had been taught.

Vas glanced over the girl taking in her image and noticing all the apparent effort she put into her appearance. He took a mental note of everything, from the makeup and glossed lips on her well proportioned face to the manicured nails on her fingers and took another sip of his water.

"I suppose you're new here, considering I've never seen you before."
Yea, you could say that, you are the second person I've met all day." "Well really third If you count that girl but i still didn't get her name. his thoughts began to focus on Eleanor and noticing this he quickly shifted his focus back to the present.
"Thank you for this by the way, it was really nice of you to help me, I guess I kinda owe you a favor now." he said with a slight laugh as they walked back over to the table from which they came. Vas wasn't one for taking kindness lightly since he hadn't received much of it in his life, and he did his best to repay his debts.

On their way back to to the table Vas saw what appeared to be a micro expression of pain pierce through the girls near perfect facade.
"Is anything bothering you?" he asked instinctually without fully realizing the invasion of privacy he was committing.

Quinn's face was was again serious and unrevealing, and his gaze was firm. "I'll be fine. It's not that bad,"

God, he's a stubborn one, Alice thought. But then stubbornness was a trait that she herself possessed no shortage of. Alice just smirked at his words, managing to stand a little straighter even framed by his arms as she was, "I appreciate the martyr complex of suffering in silence, Quinn, but 'not that bad' is a stubbed toe after you finish swearing. What ever is going on with you, it isn't that. If it's from a fight or something I just hope you made sure the other guy lost teeth." Animal attack, notwithstanding.

Alice didn't let her curiosity get the better of her, she'd already invaded his privacy as it was. Although invasion of personal space didn't seem to be an issue for him, she was not unhappy to note. Her powers made her wary of proximity, but she herself didn't really have a problem with it, especially with the current culprit. With the distraction of pain lessened, Alice was more aware of Quinn's presence. The warmth of his body, his supporting arm, his solid gaze. He really is rather easy on the eyes, she thought mildly even as her eyes flickered to his lips. Focus, Alice.

"Anyway," she breathed, recovering from her momentary lapse. "There's still some time before classes, I've always considered punctuality as overrated anyway, so I expect you to do something proper in the way of getting patched up." Then added, less commanding, "If you want my help, you have it."

Tiffany love Astrid with to the full extent of whatever she believes about love, but when it came to popularity, they became instant rivals that it was almost funny. A new guy walked back asking them for assistance and it was like Astrid completely forgot that Tiffany was sitting next to her. Plotting the evil things they were going to do to freshman. Tiffany smirked to herself and stood up with the two others.

"Astrid,"
"Vassi, nice to meet you"

"I'm Tiffany," she attempts to pitch in, but it seems that Astrid has the boy's full attention, so she waits for an opportunity to go in and steal him away. Not that she wanted him. Although he was very cute. A complexion the resembled her own. Pearly whites and tall. All the things Tiffany finds attractive. "I suppose you're new here, considering I've never seen you before." Sounds like flirting, but Tiffany knew Astrid. Astrid just wants her popularity to be known and to do that, she gets people to like her. Yea, you could say that, you are the second person I've met all day." 'Guess that makes me third..' she thinks to herself. But he wasn't paying attention to her. "Thank you for this by the way, it was really nice of you to help me, I guess I kinda owe you a favor now."

Tiffany had to refrain from rolling her eyes. She sat back down at the table pretending as if she never saw the two. She would ge t her chance to speak to him and win the spotlight, but not while Astrid was present. She was way too fast and Tiffany liked to work slow. So she sits there and waits.

Lucy didn't speak for the entire twenty minutes that Kian was talking about the book. She petted the cat that was occupying her lap. This was a regular thing. Kian has a conversation with himself while she keeps the cat company. It was a nice deal. They could be alone without feeling lonely. Lucy liked it and it seemed that Kian did too since he was always initiated that times they would hang out. Eventually he stopped talking, ending his explanation. She processed everything that he was saying and then nodded to signal that she understood everything she said. Which she did.

For a moment they sat in silence as Lucy tried to come up with a response. Talking to Kian wasn't easy. He always had stories to tell and interesting things to say, but when it was Lucy's turn she didn't even come close. Which is another reason why she just listens. Interacting with other people wasn't always her thing. She enjoyed the background. It was comfortable. Easier to cope with. She was able to hide her demons in there. Where no one would try and look for them. 'What was I just thinking about....dang it..' she reprimands to herself. Her runaway thoughts always get the best of her in the worse situation.

She sipped her coffee. Lucy was more of a tea gal, but she enjoyed to occasional cup that she happens to only drink around Kian. "What other interesting things have you done recently?" I offer. Maybe that will spark up another lecture. Or result in her having to give out details of her life. She doesn't do that. Or at least doesn't plan too. Her cellphone goes off and she checks it quickly. It's from Kyle. She starts a message.
To: Kyle
From: Lucy
Sure. And Robert will grow up eventually

The message was sent and I started to compose another. To Robert.
To: Robert
From:Lucy
Eat Breakfast.

The message was short. Simple. And gets to the point. No need for a hello. Robert knew me better than that. Finally done with the cellular device, Lucy puts it in her pocket and directs her attention back to Kian.

Kian watched Lucy. He understood her, probably not as well as he thought, but more than she thought he did. His eyes skimmed over her, over the emotions slightly evident in her face as she processed his words, searching for a reply. He watched her sip the coffee, her mind fluttering behind her eyes. He chuckled lightly at her words. Lucy didn't like talking about herself, he got that. But it's not like he did anything interesting in his life. Kian's mouth opened, words ready to come out, when Lucy's phone chimed.

Talking the opportunity, he slid his out to check the time. Fuck, he thought, realizing he was meant to be greeting freshmen. Then again, his mind was still buzzed and there was no way he should be around freshmen in this state. When Lucy placed her phone down, his attention returned to her.

"You can go if you need to," he said, his tone soft and friendly, not giving off whatever feelings he had. "I don't want to keep you."

He smirked lightly when she mentioned it being from a fight, but said nothing. He often forgot other people weren't accustomed to pain from their father. Quinn's eyes followed Alice's and he saw hers flick to his lips, a mild blush heating his cheeks, that he quickly pushed down. Not the time, or the place.

He sighed at her final words, pausing for a few seconds to think. He needed to change, that was for sure. So to his room it was.

Still holding Alice's elbow, Quinn redirected her toward the direction of his room, then broke the physical contact between them. "You can help me wash my back. And put on like bandaids." He said, walking at a brisk pace and knowing she would follow. He remained silent for the rest of the walk, opening his door when they came to it. It wasn't messy, at all, considering he'd just gotten here. But his stuff was unpacked, and everything was in place. Quinn turned to Alice, as if to ask, 'how do we do this,' but instead, just took off his shirt. "Remember, you asked," he muttered, keeping his back away from her. But even on his front, there were countless scars, the biggest from when he'd had an operation to fix three ribs that had been shattered, but many others. Holding his sweater in his hand, he could feel the back damp with blood.

"It's bad." And with that, he turned around.

Astrid could practically feel the jealousy clouding around Tiffany.

She had to admit, Tiffany knew a lot more people, but Astrid considered popularity to be the most people that liked you, not how many people knew you. She kept a perfect composure that not many could break; trying to figure out relationships, and pain, was one of those few things. For some reason, this Vassi character could see through her perfect composure.

"I'm fine, thank you for asking. Though, I do have a favor to ask of you." Astrid leaned in close to Tiffany's ear before she left, "Make sure all the heads are in on initiation, you and I are going to have a little fun in the labyrinth." The labyrinth was a large maze which only head boys and girls knew the way out of. Tiff and Astrid would tell the heads it was an initiation for Eltz, and at the end, Astrid and Tiff would have a few upperclassmen boys waiting to chase them into the freezing lake water. Most of the heads would be furious, but Astrid and Tiff would not take the blame, as the girls would use their skills of seduction. It was the prefect prank for a new year, and they had just enough time to do it after lunch, when orientation swung around. With a flicker of her fingers, Astrid somewhat forced Vassi to follow her, though she didn't physically.

Once they were outside in the quad, mostly alone, her eyes narrowed. "Something about you is off, darling, but I can't quite decide what. Why don't you tell me?" Astrid asked, folding her arms in front of her chest. She didn't like secrets, and didn't keep many herself. She felt secrets were lies.

The need for truth triggered her powers to activate. Her eyes became white, as they usually did, and Astrid felt a sense of her body being taken from her. Even though this was a school for powers, showing off powers wasn't an ability she wanted taken from her. She wanted control, so she could be in control; but just like that, the god of justice and truth, Tyr, took over her body. She lost feeling in one of her hands. Vassi couldn't lie to her, and as a part of Astrid's peronsality, she would be able to detect his secrets.

With a look of confusion labeled on his face Vas watched as Astrid whispered something into her friends ear and motioned him to follow her. He paused contemplating the choice and decided he had nothing better to do until classes started so he followed here, but not before politely introducing himself to the girl who hadn't had the opportunity to say much. "Im gonna go but my name is Vassi" He paused to receive the girls name with his hand extended "Its nice to have met you Tiffany." he said while gently shaking her hand in the same fashion as he did with the Astrid before.

Vas now picked up his soccer ball and allowed Astrid to lead the way outside into the quad. Her eyes narrowed on him bringing a sense of unease with her glare before opening her mouth to speak. "Something about you is off, darling, but I can't quite decide what. Why don't you tell me?" The question was so broad and would've been impossible to answer with a single response, "Well thats a tough one, I spent 3 years on a desolate and dying planet in an alternate dimension, everyone I love is dead or is ashamed of my existence..." his thoughts continued searching for the most complete and simple answer but as he thought about himself and what others would considered odd about him he noticed a disturbing change in Astrid demeanor. Her eyes became a blank white and Vas felt an energy resonating from her due to his sensitive to atomic particles.

"Umm Astrid is everything alright?" was what he wanted to ask but his mind was flooded by her previous question and it felt as if he couldn't sustain a separate thought until he answered her out loud.
"I spent the last earth year in an alternate dimension on a desolate and hellish planet called Homdale. Homdale revolves around its star 3 times faster than earth revolves around the sun. There the air is thicker the gravity is more intense and alpha predators have wiped out all other inhabitants except plant species. My brother and I were forced to survive being hunted and attacked by these creatures we took to calling Vulcari do to their terrifying resemblance to to the Russian demons of legend, and after three years of this hell my brother and I escaped. He was lost in a dimensional rift, I alone survived and wound up here..."
As Vas spoke it was as if his words forced him to relive his hellish experience. Once he finished he couldn't believe all that had just come out of his mouth and his eyes lowered into a hateful stare as he placed his hands on her shoulders "What did you just do to me!" he said demanding an answer from the essence possessing Astrid.

Vassi wasn't one to normally get anger or even show the slightest hint of anger but with the experience of the Homdale now fresh on his mind he reacted instinctually.
