Eight Hundred and Fortieth Year of the Rift:
Darkness begins to encroach from the southernmost province of Enri, known as The Moors. In the days of the first King Aeroth a mighty wall was built to seal in the darkness that existed there before it could ever take to the land and use it for it’s cynical devices. Now the wall has been breached scattering the Garrison Corps that guarded the monolithic structure that had stood for centuries past, allowing the darkness to spread across the land and towards the capital. The now present day King receives word quickly of the wall’s destruction and dispatches the Expedition Corps to deal with the threat that is now seeping through the wall. The lower provinces of Fateen, Antiquis, Soro and Hath are quickly overran by the minions of the dark lord and fall. The few forces that had been in the area were defenseless and useless against the large force that crashed down upon them. The Expedition Corps main force from Acatia only reached the borders of these states, where they were met by the putrid force. The Expedition Corps met a stand still with the enemy that only lasted mere days before they were scattered the tattered and ragged forces of the Expedition Corps being forced back through the provinces of Aylen, Rokhi, Riversung and Wayra. The ensuing guerrilla conflict that the Expedition Corps followed through with in their retreat hindered the enemy and it move forward but did nothing to completely stop it. The remnant forces of the Expedition Corps and Garrison Corps now take refuge in Castle Valens, the castle hewed from a single mountain that it wraps around in a circle imposing a formidable defense against any force trying to raid it. The province of Acatia and Inae are the remaining two provinces that lie free. The dark lords forces though quickly surround the mountain castle of Valens with their large numbers. In turn this forces the Naval Corps to take dock at the Island of the Fey Folk useless to the main force of the King. The Immanitas Regiment, Chaos Battalion, and five thousand members of the Garrison take hold in the Castle along with other notable figures such as Wisp Company, the remaining member of the Circle of Elders and the King, Queen and Princess. A senior knight and the Acer Regiment are held up in Inae behind the enemy and a small contingent of Rangers held in the Deep Woods of North Eastern Acatia. Now it brings us to the present day year of eight hundred and fifty two, the castle surrounded and a bleak outlook for that of the men and women left inside the castle and the other residents of the land.

The combat system for NPC troops you lead into battle. One way is we arrange an ATT/DEF for each troop then simple times it by how many are sent into battle. I will get about setting up the ATT/DEF in the intro right below the Protagonists and Antagonists section.

Kings Forces:

Expedition Corps:

Acer Regiment: The creation of Acer Regiment was first formed by a small idealistic group of shield bearers that formed with in the Garrison Corps of the King well before the actual formation of the Expedition Corps. These men and the one leader know as Meot Acer. The group became renown for in the work of fighting off unruly mobs of undead, orcs and demons around the building of the walls. They also served limited time in Rokhi fighting a necromancer. Their final mission had them sealed behind the walls in order to complete the wall in which they were forever remembered by King Aeroth who formed the unit in the memory of the five men who made such a sacrifice for the country.

Immanitas Regiment:

Impetus Battalion: The Berserkers of Impetus feared even by their allies for when they enter the enlightened state of battle. They lose control of themselves lashing out mostly at the enemy but with such raise and fury many would mistake them for the dwarves of old or warrior angels hellbent on obliterating everything to a bloody pulp. These few that have achieved the title of Berserker fight more surely dedicated then others in battle for their lust and the ever reaching high they achieve from smashing their enemy.

Evil side only characters allowed to be human are the Assassin and Magic User. All others must be some form of demon, orc, or as some of the titles state Titan and such all of which can have humanoid forms though. The Demon God may have the ability to shape shift that is fine. Please do mention a weakness in the Demon god.

Provinces of Enri:

02 Acatia - Largest and most industrious part of Enri housing Castle Valens and many out branching villages around the castle including farms, quarries, mines, and rivers. Many seaside towns mark both the east and west coast allowing the Navy to dock at many military harbors for resupply.

01 Inae - A small out jutting peninsula at the Northwesternmost part of Enri. Housing a rather sturdy folk used to living in the extreme cold of the county and being rather adaptable to any climate. These folk are known for their tanned complexions and ability to tame a rather ferocious Sabertooth leopard.

03 Wayra - Mostly flat rural land which turned the people living here into master horse breeders. Warm dry summers and mild winters are normal here. The people an easy going folk with little worries.

06 Rokhi - One of the many coastal cities of Enri housing a plethora of coastal towns and a sharped peaked mountains named the Dead Fingers for the high mortality rate they have had over the years and the rumors of undead living within the caves of the mountains stealing travelers and others for a food source. The people here are use to sleeping with one eye open and have produced fine soldiers and warriors for the various military branches.

05 Riversung - Many rivers flow through this territory crossing with each other in different directions and then spreading out once more. This has created a perpetual marshland of this territory the people living on stilt houses and fighting great river beasts while making a living from the waters as well. This province placed a great role in the fall back of the Kings Forces it slowed the enemy rather quickly as they were left to deal with some of the larger creatures in the marshes.

04 Aylen - Another more prominent province with one major port that has set up a very good running with the Fey Folk and have imported many great weapons, armor, and goods. The people more inland from the ocean have become Artisans, Blacksmiths, Farmers creating a wide variety for such a small province. A large Forest land with the House of Maro tightly tucked away to most of population and quite hidden within in the wold. Though they were not overlooked by the enemy who quickly killed all but one of the members.

07 Fateen - One of the two provinces bordering The Moors. They see various enemy fights or attacks on the massive walls that stand 30 meters high and are protected by the Garrison Corps. The province also housed the Circle of Elders, the countries magic authorities. The people here see quite a bit of the dark clouds that float over the moors leaving their population in a state of someone perpetual darkness. Over ninety five percent of the population is Castanic a race of elf like people. They moved here following a war in a far distant continent of Arcadia.

08 Antiquis - The old capital of Enri. This place was set up to rule the entire continent when settlers first arrived here. Back in the old days when the shadows hung over both the North and South this was the safest place for the humans to set up their head. The old castle now stands as the most prominent building with the town surrounding it. The people here were massacred when they sought protection in the castle from the demons that slowly swarmed in from the south. This led to the castle pooling blood and bodies from it’s many windows and doors.

09 Soro - This province is site to the first landing on Enri by humans. The first expedition that landed here was met by much hostility and against better advice continued deeper into the small province meeting fierce resistance as they tried to set up a town. The evil that had corrupted this continent did not wish to be contested but saw that it was. The settlers only won out upon the finding of a supply of elvish weapons that forced the evil to fall back at the might of the Second Ones.

10 Hath - The other border province next to Fateen that also houses a large Castanic population and employs more of the Garrison Corps. This province is more known for the great monumental structures built by the fiery Castanic elves as opposed to the millions that died here due to a plague. The ground 3 feet below is home to the biggest of graves on Enri.

Races:

Humans: The most prominent race on Enri. They have shown great resolve and adaptability throughout the centuries as they have battled the darkness. They have also shown their ability to constantly create more and more towns and spread their influence throughout the land.

Elves: The few elves that live on the province of Enri live along the course or serve as leaders throughout the kings military forces. They have earned their place on Enri even before they were pushed out by the dark forces many years ago.

Fairies: Only present on the island stronghold of the Fey Folk. They are the guardians of the woods there. They have not been present on Enri for some time. Or so believed.

Castanics: Moved to Enri from that of Arcadia at the height of the war and became a rather prominent people here in the more southern regions. The elves are also believed to of traveled from Arcadia too.

No god modding or invincible characters. All must have at least a few weaknesses that can be exploited by the enemy. Demon God only has one needed weakness.

Please include a background with the character. I will provide more information on each province and The Moors so character development can be easier.

I leave the names, gender, background, and everything up to you except for the role that the character plays. Though the side line characters can have decided roles that I will approve.

I will approve all characters that are submitted.

No killing off another character without the creators consent and mine. The minion forces that each character controls can die off in conflicts amongst each other and we will deem the amount that die at a later time and date after the fighting is done.

Aldric's hammer smashed down onto the skull of a hapless orc, pulverizing the head in a thin red mist. Toppling, the body fell underfoot as he pushed forward through the melee. All around him men fought next to each other or alone, attempting to push back the tide of darkness facing them. Explosions lit the sky as siege weapons on both sides continued to pound away at each other. Smaller detonations marked the attacks by the Rangers in the forest, disrupting the back lines of the orcs. It was time to destroy the darkness.

Even as he prepared to give the order to charge, rallying his men by doing so, he spotted Gorain advancing through the tide. His yelling was drowned out by the clash of weapons and there was nothing he could do as the wall of bones burst from the ground, impaling dozens of soldiers. With the brief lull in combat, the human troops began to reorganize themselves, killing the last few orcs trapped within. Even as all settled a jet of flame burst through the wall of bones, incinerating dozens more soldiers. Rather than charging through, projectiles, both physical and magical, began to pour through, aimed at him. Two Royal Guardsmen died in the initial barrage while another tackled him from his horse, ensuring his safety.

Turning to Xavier as Ivy approached the group, he said, "Ivy is correct. We must regroup for the moment. Do what you can, consolidate the other mages if you must. Just make sure we survive." Turning back, Aldric ducked behind a shield-bearer, most of the men having taken defensive positions to weather the barrage.

Xavier Lent

Xavier was nearly about to pass out from the effects of his spell when Ivy appeared before him. She was talking about magic... he slowly became more aware as his adrenaline kept him awake. Sitting up he listened to her plan and nodded in understanding at the need. They were rather in a pickle with the artillery. Hearing his King's voice from below in the battle he stands up now and calls out at the soldiers on the walls. "Bring me three Energy Mages! And a Force Mage! On the double!" The soldiers scrambled to find whoever could fit their commanders needs the best. After a couple of minutes four men in cloaks were standing infront of Xavier and Ivy.

Xavier now turned and pointed at the fountain in the middle of the courtyard below. "That will have the water you need. But let me do this first." Turning around he gave the Force Mage orders who nodded quickly and stood near the wall. Xavier kicked over two large pots of boiling oil that are always on standby for siegers. The force mage stopped the oil from falling on the King's vanguard and sent it out into the orc artillery position, burning many of their operators.

Glad with his strategy, Xavier gave the Energy Mages the go ahead to assist Ivy in anyway they could while Xavier jumped down the wall, using the claws on his custom gauntlets to slide down the stone wall and land in the middle of the mortal forces. He ran straight out to where the opening was and faced down the Greater Demon on the other side as a young soldier was knocked by the Bell Hammer just over his head. "Come and get me, you pompous rat!"

This move was probably going to kill Xavier, but it was all part of his short term plan. Running up one of the bone spears he jumps over the crack in the spear wall, hopefully as Gorain rushs in to kill him, and activates the tatoo on his arm. A bright flash of light appears as his giant buster blade is summoned into his hands, the extra weight bringing Xavier with the blade pointed down right at Gorain's body.

Gorain

The large demon kept on killing soldiers, seeing them cower in fear of his coordinated assault. He laughed allowed in conquer and smashed another human who dared try and spear him through. He did not notice the flying globs of burning oil until it was too late. They landed on the demons artillery, scorching those who fired at the castle and King. This enraged Gorain greatly and he threw several orcs onto the machines. "Work them! Now!" The orcs rushed in fear to use the machines, but they were still coated in boiling oils, and so were unusable for the time being. Only the Dragon Mortor ,which was still firing at the tree line and the archers, and one of the ballistas were able to be used now.

Turning in rage Gorain saw the lone soldier there taunting him. Calling him a lowly rat. Gorain's cracked skin burst in a spout of fire before returning to normal as Gorain charged. "Rat?! Look who is talking!" He was too slow however to evade the fast human. He somehow summoned a sword and drove it straight through Gorain's left shoulder, the holy metal burning his flesh and nearly severing his arm.

Growling with pain as he shrieked in agony he used his right arm and hand to grab Xavier and toss him back towards his own brethren. He then painfully pulled the giant sword out of his shoulder with his hand burning with holy magic the whole way. He threw the sword at Xavier where it implanted near him in the ground.

"You pitiful human! I shall crush you!" But Gorain was in no position to fight anymore. His pride and bloodlust turning to hatred and fear. He pulled back behind his troops and kept them back surrounding the entrance to the bone wall. Turning to the female who was for some reason killing his orcs he would remember to recommend that his master revoke her powers for killing her allies. Moving towards Yrael he shouted across the field. "Yrael! Finish your fight and get in that cage!" He pointed at the trapped soldiers inside his bone wall and let out a strange wolf like howl of pain.

Ivy turned to the energy mages. "I'll need you to feed me some energy as I work this water barrier spell. When I start chanting put your hands on my shoulders and monitor my energy levels. Once I get low send enough to support the spell only." She instructed. Beckoning the mages to follow her she walked to the fountain and closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath she began chanting her hands moving to make symbols in the air the mages followed her instructions to the letter. After a minute of chanting a massive wall of water was formed out of the fountain long and tall enough to fit the gates and 6 feet wide. She kept chanting as she and the mages attached to her moved to the back lines and the water was put in the opening giving the soldiers the time and space they needed and keeping the fire at bay. As her energy was being drained she tapped into her crystal. She continued to chant needing the water the stay where it was placed. Her face was full of determination as the water trapped the javelins and stopped the fire balls the orcs threw at their king. Having everything set up she waited for the King to give the word that the shield was no longer needed. Once the order was given to drop the shield she planed on sending all the water at their enemy to unbalance them giving their soldiers the upper hand.

Yrael did as told, fighting off the birds from above and deflecting arrows from the rear. Not all of his army made it, many were taken down by the Rangers' arrows. Yrael left the one squad in the woods and galloped toward Gorain, working through masses of swarming bodies, fighting and struggling. He barely made it to Gorain's side. "What can I help you with?" He asked, looking all around at the battlefield. Humans and Orcs were falling on all sides and fires were burning in random patterns around them.

Walking into what was supposed to be Gorain's camp, Lilith looked around with her eyes narrowed in annoyance. Before she had time to mutter anything about the demon a man stepped out of the trees and up behind her silently. "What is it Orochi?" The man stepped up beside her and spoke quickly, a slight hiss in his voice as there always was. "There is a battle happening outside the castle at the hands of both Yrael and Gorain's men." Without a word Lilith turned and walked back into the trees, Orochi following after her.
Moments later Lilith walked through the battlefield, creating an illusion of blank space around herself and Orochi who was only a step behind her. Looking around it only took Lilith moments to spot Yrael and then Gorain as the mounted fire demon approached him. Narrowing her eyes Lilith smirk slightly and moved in their direction. As she walked she let tendrils of her consciousness brush against the people in her way, human and demon alike, and instilled a strong urge to move out of the way in their minds, clearing a path for Lilith to walk.
As she came up to Gorain and Yrael a sickly sweet smile crossed her face as she dropped her illusion and suddenly appeared before them. Addressing Gorain Lilith skipped forward a step as she spoke. "Hello brother, May I ask why you have deserted your post and disobeyed our Lord's command?" Pausing for a moment she turned her smile onto Yrael but said nothing, knowing for a fact he was not as hot-headed as to disobey the Demon King. Turning her gaze back to Gorain she let her eyes flame with the annoyance and rage she actually felt but kept up her smile, flicking a strand of long brown hair over her shoulder.
