⟿ Simple and elegant. He usually wears robes, but on weekends and holidays when in muggle clothes, he dons nice button-ups and slacks; on cold days, he'll add a suit jacket, and sometimes a scarf. More often than not, he opts for soft, thin fabrics and silks, in light, cool colors, with dark trousers. For special occasions, he wears long, flowing dress robes, usually blue not only because it is his House color, but because it suits his skin tone and brings out his eyes. He definitely has an eye for fashion, as his clothes always fit him perfectly, and he knows how to accentuate his best features (all of them, according to much of the teenage wizarding world - blame his veela blood) in a way that is just subtle enough to make it seem like an accident.
He's studious and quiet; but if one pays attention to him, and listens to the words that he says under his breath while everyone else continues the conversation around him, they find that he's a young man with hidden depths. He's charming - flirtatious, even - and immensely perceptive. He's open-minded and curious, and never quite sure of himself in anything but that he always has more to learn. Louis is, at his core, the sort of person who accepts everyone exactly as they are, and never expects them to be anything but themselves; the sort of person who knows exactly how you like your tea, and quietly brings you a cup and a blanket right when you need it most, even though he's never spoken a word to you before, then goes about his day as if nothing ever happened because he only wanted to make you feel better and never expected anything in return.
That said, as perceptive and observant as he is, when you get past the natural charm that comes with being part veela, Louis isn't the easiest person to be friends with for long periods of time. He isn't great with commitment, he's easily distracted; and while he'll never judge you too harshly in his own head or go around giving unsolicited advice from atop a high horse, he is bluntly honest when asked a direct question. When asked what he thinks, he doesn't tell people what they want to hear, he tells them just that: what he thinks. Often, this means an in-depth (psycho-)analysis with a complete disregard to what the person he's talking to might be insecure about hearing.
Cool-headed and difficult to rile, Louis doesn't get in many arguments that result in anything other than either a long-winded debate or him simply walking away because the other person has gotten a bit too heated for his liking. He's had more than his fair share of flings, but never been in a steady relationship that lasted more than a month. He's a great fan of letters, hot cocoa, and stargazing, and hopes to one day travel the world. What he wants to do as he travels, however, is unclear; he has wished, all at separate but recurring times, to be a private investigator, a magical tattooist, a magizoologist, a healer, a writer, an astronomer, and a potioneer.
